Story: The story takes place directly after Kingdom Hearts 1, a mysterious black hooded figure appears in-front of Sora, and somewhat directs him to a castle, Cast Oblivion. A seemingly normal place a first glace, though the figure explains to Sora that those that enter tis castle lose their memories, and as Sora advances further into the castle, after completing "memories" of his past; Levels from Kingdom Hearts, such as Traverse town, Alice in Wonderland, and such, where all the characters from that town, do not remember him, he eventually begins to regain his memories through his advances. Graphics: Very wonderfully down graphics for a GBA game with a nice amount of detail being put into all objects in the game, as-well as the foreground, though as far as I can tell, this game does not really have any "background", as it were. Nothing much else special to say about the graphics. Sound: Both the Music, and SFX seem to keep true to the Kingdom Hearts series, a very nice redition of the music, a tad lower quality than the first game, but that is of-course expected, it being a Game Boy Advanced game, after-all! Addictiveness: For replay value, this game doesn't stand out as much as it could, but just in terms of general gameplay, it is very-much addictive, as all Kingdom Hearts games tend to be some type of role-playing game, even just spending time to perfect your perfect deck of cards in itself can take up hours at a time concerning slights the player may have learned from leveling up. Depth: The battles of this game takes places into rather small rooms, which can be accessed upon unlocking the room via the required level, or colour of card. Each different type of card will have different effects on a room, this can be viewed the in the menu "map cards" tab. These conditions, and card effects may either prolong the game just that little bit, by adding more enemies, or no enemies, or even a door will require a specific number card and colour which the player may not just have, and therefore will have to re-unlock a room to grind for said card. Difficulty: The game is not that difficult, the player will just have to balance out their 3 level up upgrades wisely between Sleights, which will make the player think tactically about their used cards, HP, and CP, which will allow them to have better cards. Of-course the thing that makes this game particularly difficult is the balance of the types of cards the deck is constructed with, along with the danger of completely running out of offensive cards. Overall: I would recommend others to try out this game, especially those people that love Action Role-playing games, as-well as the Kingdom Hearts franchise fans, whom never did give this game as much of a change because of the style it was done in, and the fact that it is a bit of a spin-off. The Graphics are definitely more than bearable, the music rather-much the same as the first game, great story and character progression, A lot of depth to the game, so their is a lot to do, even a few optional secrets, not too difficult but not too easy, and quite fun and addictive! Although I have not played much Super Smash Bros Brawl, in a while, I would probably say Samus', both her combat suit, and Zero-suit. Even though I mainly used Ike because I can, Samus was always my favourite played in the first Smash, and the same for the second. Not really sure why I like their final smash, I mean, I could just say it's high damaging and whatnot, but so is almost all the other characters. Corneria, hands down. When I was younger, a couple of friends used to come over to my house about, half an hour before school or so, and we'd play SSB on Corneria (Mainly), until it was about 2-3 minutes or so before the bell went, since we were so close to the school, a couple minutes walk. Had some great times playing that game, and a lot of good, and funny memories on that stage! Honestly, you didn't explain this thread very well, by just asking the favourtie mascot, then just putting yours down. You didn't really explain what you meant by 'mascots', If by mascot, you meant the figurehead of a game, then I'd have to say, at the moment, maybe...Zidane from Final Fantasy IX? But I don't really have a solid 'favourite'. but otherwise, if you just meant characters in general, then I'd maybe go with Rinoa, from the same game, or possibly Yuna, the Yuna from Final Fantasy X. Though I suppose the topic just as a general thread is pretty solid, as it were. |

My sister and I loved Rayman as kids, the whole atmosphere
that the music, and just the scenery itself created was very relaxing, it was just a very beautiful, and all around fun game. It even had it's humorous points. ![]() The wrong mechanics of the game even rather appealed to me. A disembodied man on a mission, never really understood that, but what I did know, is, I did love Globox in the Rayman series, one of the seemingly more goofy characters that kind of looks like a trash can, with the way his mouth opens. Though I do believe he first appeared in Rayman 2...within the first few minutes of starting the game, I think. ![]() Though, I must say, the whole Rayman series was pretty amazing, the graphics for it's time were rather good, though I suppose that's a rather over-used phrase, eh? The game was, however, rather original. My favourite game has got to be either Rayman, or Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, since I can recall more about the third game than the second, because of the severe change in game mechanics. With the first game just being rather memorable for starting off the series, plus, as mentioned below, it sets a lovely, calm atmosphere! ![]() Pretty amazing series, in all. Totodile, of-course. He was always so uppity in the actual Anime, which made him pretty awesome, in itself. Plus, he does evolve into an aligatormon, which I'm pretty sure has a powerful attack stat; not that I knew that back then. But I'm not entirely sure, back in the day of no wifi battles, and only having short distance cable battles, we couldn't care less about the perfect stats for a Pokémon, at-least, most of the people I knew didn't care. As-long a we had the actual Pokémon we wanted, it was all good! |

Looks like my weapon would be the buster sword, and my companion on hand would be...Rizo, since I was posting in the stream, I suppose. I suppose the buster sword is fitting to the situation, going by it's sure ability to be-able to cut through bone without easily getting busted up over a short period of time, being as it's not that fragile, like a normal Katana would be...so yay for FF7, you've surely saved me yet again. Well, excluding Big the Cat, I'd probably say Cream. She is so damn whiny in the actual Sonic kind of Anime, and in the games, whenever she does show up. She just had such an annoying tone of voice to go with her whiny attribute. I'm surprised that no-one had brought up Cream yet...she is just so damn annoying, I can't stand it. I also called her Rayman whenever I played a game and she was in it. It just made her less annoying. Don't argue the logic in point. Best memory of Pokémon? Probably anytime I beat Gary MF Oak in Blue version. Think he can go about flying with while standing on his Spearow or Pidgey while I'm stuck trying to teach my Scyther to fly...and he can't...Those time, were not good. But yeah, Gary is widely known as a douche, by catching you just after a gym leader, jut before a town and so. So anytime I beat him, it was gratifying. Oh, that, and when I caught a Donphan in Silver version with a master-ball. Either a Donphan, or a Phanpy. I felt just great after that. Well, Pokémon games are excessively done. It's pretty much always the same thing. "Go to this town, get stopped half way to the first gym by a 'cult', continue on, win, bad guy queued! Next 2 gyms, Bad guys!" Et-cetera. Last Pokémon game I played (Official), was...fire-red, so after that gen I have no idea, It's just all the same thing every time and gets really boring. I suppose you could say the same thing about sonic, depending on if it is 3D or 2D, I suppose. But Sonic has that extra push of challenging the user, actually give them challanges, get the adrenaline running by getting through [X] within [X] amount of time with(out) [X]. It just makes you push yourself, in wanting to come out on-top, and whatnot. As for Pokémon, I suppose there is some wi-fi battles, but it is more trouble than it's worth, at-least, I find it to be like that, just a personal opinion. First time I fought Sephiroth in KH1, it wasn't that bad, but then he depleted my HP to 1 and sliced me from behind, after that, I ground up for a bit on the rock Titan, until I maxed out my level. Of-course the next few tries weren't a success either. I can't remember much from my KH1 days, but I do recall I beat him in under 10 tries, and super-glide definitely played a part in that. Made for some damn important escapes and dodges. Honestly though, in KH2, I feel he was a tad easier, you had forms that you could enter, like master form, there were a ton more combos you could pull off on him, I feel his attacks were just a bit more predictable, though his patterns never really did switch up. /Game scr I felt Sora was a bit overpowered because of the drive gauge, but even without it, he was still easy, and not even near max level. Probably got to be Final Fantasy. There are some titles I have not played in the series, but I have probably played around...maybe just over half? That including some spin-offs, if it were not for the spin-offs, it would be around three fourths of the games. Always a sucker for the RPG/JRPG types of games and such, especially Final Fantasy. |

cade9 : Here is a friendly heads up, this thread will not be counted as review and will be moved to a more appropriate board. The reason for this is that a review will not be counted as an actual review if the user does not post at-least 100 words worth of content, you can however fix this by editing your post to include enough words. Hopefully this gives you enough time to add on the required amount of words for a more, well deserved place to be called a "review", instead of being deemed unfit, and moved. Definitely Gen 1, since that was the generation of Pokémon I grew up with. My sister got Yellow when it came out, and I got Blue, great childhood. Though I never played past gen 3, I have seen some of the Anime here and there, and the other gens just did not appeal to me, especially gen 5, which I didn't even need to look up, since they came up somewhere or another in forums without having to look for them. They just look...mostly dumb. To confusing for me, ha. Today, the 1st of August, is just a year form when I first joined the Vizzed community, though I never really got active on the forums until just 2 days ago or so. I kind of forgot the site for a while after a couple of new games came out, since I mostly used this website for just some retro-style gaming, normally just when I would have been in college and had some free time thoughz I even forgot about my password for a while, so I mainly just played without being a logged on, not that it mattered for the small amount of games I'd play, so I never used up my limit. But that's just a little extra information. I recently had a craving for some retro gaming lately, and when I came on the website, I just remembered it was also a forum board, so why not get into actual posting some, and interacting with other fellow members. Good thing It took me about 20 years to find out where I could change my forum profile pictures and stuff at, completely disregarding the top-left hand screen before noticing it while looking at some bookmarks, so I was able to actually notice in my "Your profile"; which I originally thought was the page I needed to be on, that I signed up on the first of August, which I noticed yesterday. (1:38am here in the UK, so yesterday for me, right now, is the 31st) Good times to be had though! Good times in general! The only thing I do have on mind would be the Super Mario Bros movie, as-well. It's not even consistent, in a sense, unless I am missing some sort of joke, I'm pretty sure Luigi's clothes changes colours on at random scenes and transitions. Besides the petty stuff, the story is just terrible, the actual "graphics", or background just don't work out like you'd hope, even movies way before that time were much better! It's hard to come up with the words to explain this bad, bad, bad movie. A lot of people still play this game, and competitively too, I'm sure. I myself do play the game every now and then, but not nearly as much as I used to, like when it first came out, that would be the only thing I really played, since I loved Melee so much, and hyped it. The one game that I can actually hype and back it up with enjoyment and genuinely being entertained. Not like when Sonic 4 came out. Though I think a lot of people just dislike the online feature of the game, because there are no bounds to the wait of getting a game with randoms, and just the lag that commonly occurs.
