Anime is a Japanese word that's short for the western word, animation. So, it's actually more accurately called an animation, but if it's an anime then that means it's a Japanese animation production, that's all, a Cartoon is a western word that's only used in the west that generally means the same thing, also it's worth noting that Astro Boy which looks like a cartoon is an anime, so essentially you can call an anime a cartoon, what separates them is simply the culture that surrounds it.

mrturtlenoob : Hello sir, I would like to recommend a Ps4, I currently own one and it's been very much to my liking, though it really comes down to your taste in games, the Ps4 is undoubtedly a more powerful system and it has some really great games you won't see on the Xbox One, especially if you're into Japanese games. Bloodborne which is already out is one of my most played games on the system, and if you get a Ps4, you can get excited for Nier 2, as well as some other great titles, oh, and you'll love the controller.
