It is more likely this guy contracted the disease from getting blood from the mouse into the wound from the cat bite. While cats CAN pass on the plague to humans, it is an extremely rare occurrence. In fact, cats do more to halt the spread of the plague than anything. By killing the infected rats, they help decrease instances of humans coming in contact with said rats or their fleas, which could also pass on the disease.

The sad truth about the Bubonic Plague is that humans brought it on themselves during the Dark Ages. By foolishly buying into sill superstitions like 'cats are evil demon spawn that enjoy the company of witches' and subsequently killing off most of the feline population in Europe, they allowed rats to proliferate and spread this horrible disease. Call it god smack if you will, but this is what will always happen when people give in to irrational fears and do things that disturb the delicate balance that exists on this planet.

@XxChaosxX:

Not to be nit-picky, but it isn't entirely accurate that Zelda is the main goal of every game. There are, to my knowledge, two notable exceptions.

In Link's Awakening, Zelda is only ever mentioned once, off-handed, at the start of the game. The objective of that game was to awaken the Wind Fish so that Link could escape from the island.

In Majora's Mask, Zelda isn't even ever mentioned! Only game in the series to date that doesn't even make mention of her. And, as we all know, the objective of that game is to get as far away from that freaky moon as possible before it consumes your soul!

More on topic, I've always had this suspicion that Nintendo discriminates against any character of theirs that happens to wear green. Just a suspicion. I have no proof to support this. XD

Out of curiosity, are all these instances of the game crashing something you intend to fix within the emulator itself at some point? I only ask because I love playing this game and want to finish it with 100% completion, but I really don't want to bother with all of this 'save states' downloading  and the copying and pasting into specific files. I just thoroughly abhor digging around in my comp for all these files and what-not. :/
