Davideo7 : Since you added the auto login after registration you probably don't need to send an additional registration email. It's nice to have but it not worth it if you are getting penalized over it.

Davideo7 : AWESOME, yes this is exactly like I envisioned it. Thanks for adding that! I'm sure it will help out everyone find information and messages much faster.

Davideo7 : Users should at least receive some sort of welcome email that that have successfully registered. That is the most important thing missing or needs fixing. Everything else is fine for now.

It appears to work, just tested it with user above.

I still think some improvements are needed though.

1. The initial screen where you agree or disagree with site rules is not needed or a radio button should be included on the form where they register. I still think it is pointless, no new user reads rules before registering.

2. Users should receive email with their registered details including username and password, all I got was a verification email.

3. Once registered it should login user automatically.

4. You can register with same email over and over again.

5. The captcha is quite annoying and doesn't always work when you select the correct images. That is not your fault though, it is captchas fault.

I just started playing yesterday but I am confused as to how it works. When I lay a trap or whatever, how does it collect people? Do I collect people who view that page during my trap duration or how does it work exactly? I just don't understand it completely. I have no clue what I am doing LOL! I just press trap and hope it collects something but a lot of the time nothing happens.

Awesome I do have a suggestion to make this more dynamic. When you click on a message in the split view there is a ton of space there below the message box. Below that message box you should include a list of private messages that user has sent you. This would save users even more time and would eliminate them having to perform a search for messages from said user.

Even if traffic picks up I wouldn't put it back up. That is what mods and staff are for to help newbies out if they break any rules.

Davideo7 : Good work! There is a similar bug that needs fixing. Hidden threads show in the latest and trending tabs on board index. It won't say hidden thread but it will display full title of hidden threads for users who should not be seeing it.

I remember seeing this problem around the RGR and VGR. The quotes would be escaped with backslashes. If you do search for anything that has quotes in it though the meta title will add the backslash still. Rest of page looks fine but it is still showing in the meta titles.

Davideo7 : It could be the ads but then again it could be the downloads to because firefox warning says it has deceptive downloads on it. Either way the site has been dead for a long time. I lost access to it a long time ago I think when you transferred to a new server many years back.

It sucks it went down hill but there just was no saving it. Once google banned our index page and adsense is when we started to really lose traffic and income. I also had no idea how bad I'd F up site changing the site links but whatever... it was bound to fail and it is also much more risky compared to what David is doing here on Vizzed. Sure Nintendo threatened to sue him via Vizzed but at the same time you don't see this site getting attacked like GYR did with copyright violations and search index problems.

The later versions of site was pretty bad. We stuffed it with ads to try and make up for losses but it didn't work. Was making only a few dollars a month, with server being a few hundred a month it made no sense to keep it going. It has not been profitable since Obama won office for his second term around 2012. I will never forget that detail about it. So it's been dead for around 7 years in terms of profits, though the site was still up after that it never recovered financially or in any other aspect.

It's not a total loss because GYR was sort of a launching pad for the Vizzed. In the early days GYR helped Vizzed get a few thousand new registered users and got it some traffic (this was when Vizzed had only few hundred members and less then 1000 visitors a day). Then David came up with the RGR concept and that is when things took off for this site.

Divine Aurora : Well it was good you brought it up cause there was not much else discussions going on here lol.

IgorBird122 : Vizzed won't last 70 years in my opinion because it is a personal website operated entirely by David and no one else. If he passes or were to suddenly die so will the site.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
