Anybody remember Kirby's Dream Course? When I was a kid, getting gold medals in some of the levels was insanely difficult.
Battletoads: Battlemaniacs caused some frustration. Interestingly enough, it wasn't turbo tunnel that did it to me, but the snake level that I kept making mistakes on. I think I've gotten better about frustration now; maybe it's a sign I'm getting old or maybe it's because there's enough stress just going to work.

Gonna have to go with Frog. I love his character development, and his is one of my favorite themes in the game. Such a tough pick between him and Robo for me.

I love the fight against Zant in Twilight Princess. You somewhat get to revisit all the old bosses, with a (demented) variation on the original boss' theme. And you can't forget Zant's slice n' dice rampage.

2nd place might be Goht from Majora's Mask. Keep on rollin'

Singelli- Advance Wars and its first sequel were on GBA. The next 2 sequels came out on DS. It looks and feels very much like Fire Emblem except you command tanks/infantry. Definitely worth a shot =)

I am G789, or you can call me G. I just signed up and look forward to checking out your library. I mostly grew up on SNES games, and have always loved the RPGs of that era. Nowadays, I like playing strategy games or puzzle games. Fairly recently, I discovered Fire Emblem and picked it up immediately, especially since I loved Advance Wars when that came out roughly 10 years ago. I also love the Zelda games.
