There is no way, unfortunately, to completely separate church and state. Religion is such a personal, deeply-held, ingrained part of a person that it can never be fully routed out. A person who swears up and down that he or she is an Atheist might find himself praying in an emergency-not out of actual belief, but because when all else fails... That being said, I have to state quite firmly that I believe that the government needs to stay out of people's private lives as much as possible. Purely moral decisions should be made by the people involved. Choosing a less-high-flame issue than abortion as an example... Polygamy. So people want to marry in groups. If they're happy and every member of the group made their own choice, why is the government involved? Sure, we want to make sure that every person in that group is actually there of their own free will-get rid of the cults, end the child marriages. But without the pressure of keeping it a secret and being underground, some of that would disappear anyway. If a group of four people would like to marry and raise healthy, active children, why does the government have laws against it? Is this not a religious idea? That marriage should be between one man and one woman is definitely a religious theme. Would I do it? No way. I'm way too jealous for that kind of thing. But should the government have the right to say that they can't, because someone's religion says it's bad? The last movie I saw was, unfortunately, the last Twilight movie that my cousin dragged me too because she's too young to go herself and none of the rest of the family would go. Oh. My. God. Spoiler: THE ENDING SUCKED. I sat through all that BS and then there was at least a semi-cool fight scene and some lame decapitation and then...IT WAS A DREAM? I even had to pay for the tickets. Oh. Oh I love scary movies! My absolute favorite of all time is the original Japanese Grudge (Ju-on). The American version wasn't so bad (and I don't say that often about an American version of...anything, really) but the Japanese is so very frightening. Frankly if you really wanna be scared-really scared, not just grossed out by bloody effects and decapitation, which seems to be an American horror film go-to, try watching some of the Japanese movies on Netflicks under horror. Once you get used to the subtitles, you'll find yourself pretty darn creeped out. My absolute favorite of all time is the original Japanese Grudge (Ju-on). My first horror movie was Jaws- Don't laugh. It's considered a horror/thriller. Anyway, I was really young (I don't remember how old) and I was sitting on the floor and leaning against Mom's leg watching it. I got so scared at one point I turned and...bit my Mom's leg. Why I don't know, but I clearly remember that she was not amused. Bit her pretty hard, I guess. I wasn't allowed to watch anything scary for a long time after that. Once I did go back and watch it, I couldn't believe I'd ever gotten scared of it to begin with, though. Don't laugh. It's considered a horror/thriller. Liquid soap. Bar soap sits in the shower and gets all weird and gross. Plus there's three people in my house, and frankly, I don't wanna use a bar of soap that they've rubbed on themselves. If it was just me, or if I could guarantee that they wouldn't use my soap, but...yeah. I do have to agree with the smell thing though-it's hard finding a liquid soap that doesn't scream HEY SMELL ME! It seems lately even the men's products are highly scented. I do have to agree with the smell thing though-it's hard finding a liquid soap that doesn't scream HEY SMELL ME! I just got the second gem from the graveyard, but when I go back to Sassarallallalalawhot'shisname he's still telling me there's a jewel in the graveyard. Did I miss something? If anyone has any idea, I'd seriously appreciate a head's-up. I'm enjoying this game a lot (even if I'm swearing a bit too much at work...) Edit: Local mods, you can close this please. I found the answer somewhere else and I'm not happily getting murdered in the Parallel world. Still don't know if that was a glitch or just the game, but I don't mind either way. Thank you! This is kind of a running joke with me and my friends, but, for me: Pretty much any random girl in any random anime. Ever. There are exceptions, but for the most part, they appear to exist solely to swoon over the main character, spout stupid meaningless burbles, introduce stupid plot points, get into trouble and be saved. And even when they do something important and/or strong, they usually either revert right back to what they were before, die, or turn out to be a bad guy. The three worst for me were Misa from Deathnote, Hinata from Naruto, and Miss Elizabeth from Black Butler. Pretty much any random girl in any random anime. Ever. Hey sorry I didn't reply-I thought I did, but I must not have sent it. Thank you for your nice welcome!
I try very hard not to get stuck in one category of games, but I find myself in 'moods' and end up going through a whole catalog of one type of game. I actually came here because I'd found this bad fake port of Super Mario 64 and it didn't have most of the neat features and it was annoying, and I thought, gee, I wish someone had a better version of this game. So I took a chance and typed it in my browser and boom, I was here...and hooked. I am going to see it, but not opening week. I loved this book, but to be honest, The Hobbit was kind of the 'children's book' compared to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I know it's not going to be as good of a movie as the trilogy, but I think I'm going in with more of an open-hearted, childlike expectation anyway-willing to overlook flaws for the sheer joy and wonder of seeing the book I loved so much brought to life. I can't see that they're going to ruin it. ...they had better not ruin it. Oh, god I hope they don't ruin it. |

I'm not sure where they get nostalgia from it. I too love that show, and I watch it all the time. I even got my mother watching it, which is pretty remarkable considering she usually hates my weird cartoon shows'. But like I said, I'm not sure where nostalgia would come into it-maybe they're talking about the drawing style? |

So I've been playing games on here for a short while and I thought I should maybe poke my head in and say hello. This place is amazing! I'm totally geeking about it. I'm super impressed by pretty much everything I've seen so far. Everyone seems really nice-I haven't come across a jerk post yet, although I'm sure they pop up occasionally. Eventually I might try my hand at writing reviews, but for now I'm just familiarizing myself with the various games and options. Although, looking at my game history, I seem to have developed a major Mario thing. Oh well.
