The longest time without a shower was a week. And it wasn't because I couldn't, I just didn't feel like it.

God, I'm so nasty.

Most of my notifications come from the daily Viz thing. The other is someone replying to my post or on a thread I had favorite.

Once I got 3 notifications in a single day about someone rating a screen shot of mine. The first thought that came to mind was "They just did for the viz"

sonicmcmuffin : You either think there is a typo in my question, or you think it's so weird you can't even type it. But just so we get this straight:

"Too good to be true" < What you think I said
"Too true to be good" < What I actually said.

And I wasn't going to make you answer it a second and now third time, but now that you are at it...

sonicmcmuffin : I just want to say that you didn't answer my question, because it was "Can something be too true to be good".

But the fact that you answered and thus proved you are not dead pretty much covers it.

I would be a peach. It's all nice on the outside, but once you get to its core, you break your teeth.

To this day, I wasn't sure if the Wii was a good purchase instead of the Xbox. Now I'm pretty sure.

This game was one of most popular games on the N64. The fact that you could play as James Bond and go around doing secret missions (but I would say “go around shooting people up” because that’s basically what it is) was a pretty big deal back in the day. Nowadays, that’s pretty lame because every other game lets you shoot stuff someway.  Sure, not every other game contains James Bond. But can you say “I’m Bond, James Bond” to anyone in this game? No? Then being James Bond or Jack McOrdinary Guy has pretty much the same impact. But that’s for today, though, so I’ll try to look at it with a more 1997 perspective.

The graphics are not too bad; they remind me of PS1 graphics. Most of the time everything is smooth except when aiming with the sniper rifle, for some reason everything gets a bit choppy.

The sound effects are the same throughout the game, and the “missed bullet” sound effect gives you that feeling that “Yes, this game is old.” The music as that whole covert ops style, but if you start backtracking like I did (right in the 1st level, because I didn’t read the mission) you are going to notice that the music is kind of annoying. The solution to this is to not backtrack.

In the past, kids, and I guess other people too, would be like “Holy s[ugar] I’mma play this game my whole life” because not only shooting games are fun, you can try to beat  all levels in all difficulties, and there is always the multiplayer mode, with all the multiplayer game modes you’d expect (no co-op though). But now you notice the game is kind of dull, not really worth the replay because you already how it will all go. It’s like telling you the same joke over and over; it’s not fun anymore.

It wouldn’t be called Story Mode if it didn’t have story in it, am I right? I don’t remember the movie so I’m not going to say whether it follows it or not. But there is like 4 mission backgrounds telling what’s going on (but I think that HoneyPiggy branch or whatever is pretty unnecessary) and it all sounds like something James Bond would be doing. I haven’t played the whole game through, but I’m going to hope everything is connected.

In depth, I’d say it’s pretty satisfactory. The multiplayer allows many changes like the level, mode, time, characters, weapons, and all that good stuff. There is a reasonable amount of weapons in the game (I’ve seen 9 but I know there are more). Like I said, the story mode has 3 different difficulties, which add more objectives to all the 20 levels in the game, and I think the enemy weapons do more damage. It’s only missing co-op.

I’d say the controls are a bit tough, although this probably wasn’t the case back then. Instead of having one analog to move around, and the other to aim around, both analogs share both tasks. In my opinion, I’d say it’s easier to play on the keyboard then an USB controller, but then again it’s my opinion. And the enemies are not much of a challenge if you are paying attention, they only actually hit you after a certain time or if they are right on top of you.

In conclusion, I’d say the game was pretty good, but it’s starting to expire, and I hope playing expired games doesn’t give you diarrhea.

(Note: This review was supposed to come with a video review, but since I wasn't getting anything done with that, I'm just gonna take that part out. Maybe next time.)

Here's my channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Scohui

My channel consists of gaming videos and sometimes reviews of games from this site (I have one in the works for 4 weeks now, it should have been done in the first week if I wasn't a big procrastinator)

Each video has 15-20 views average, and I have 9 subscribers, so I'm not all that popular, but everyone who watches my stuff says it's good stuff, so you have that as a first impression.

I do play Team Fortress 2 occasionally, but when I play I don't play with friends because they are too far away for us to play in a server with reasonable latency.

Although now I'm pretty sure this thread is in the wrong place. Darn.

( I am not entirely sure if this thread goes here or in the Web Splurge, because it involves a site related question + showing off my work. Move it (or not) to where you think it fits)

So, I had this idea to attach to the insightful game reviews I do, a more comedy sided video review. I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to do such thing, because I don't think I have seen it before.

I picked up a review I did about Elite soccer, and made a video review about it, just to show what exactly I have in mind. It contains some mild profanity (I don't know what mild means, but I see it everywhere attached to profanity), but it's nothing you haven't heard already.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqbO4wYsAIE

My goal here is not only having my Youtube channel get views, but also possibly attract people to the site from the outside, because there is a link in the description of the video as well as a reference in the actual video.

So yeah, what do you think? (As a reminder, the questions are: Is it possible to do this^? and Are my videos simply  wasting your time?)

I'm scared of valves because I forget which way I turned it (I think all valves turn the same way, but I forget which) and I panic when I start seeing so much water coming off.

I'm scared of trying something new; leaving my comfort zone. I just think everything will go horribly wrong.

I'm scared of forgetting. I'm always nervous when I see people I'm supposed to know.

I'm scared of bees, because the only good tactic is not to panic.

I'm scared of being alone, so I talk to myself sometimes for company.

And I'm scared of failing, because I know no matter what good stuff I do next, I will always be remembered by the failure.
