So you have to unlock Sudoku? Whoa.
I might have to get that game.

You should buy Kirby's Canvas Curse, as soon as possible. Oh, and some screen protectors because that game is evil. Practice safe-stylus...

HTML, CFML, PHP, ASP, VBS, JS = No.
ASM, BASIC, C++, JAVA = Maybe.

ASM: Programs made of many Lines of text, each with a memory address.
Made of words like ADD, CMP, and INT.

BASIC: Programs made of many Lines of text, usually each with a number or label.
Made of words like PRINT, IF/THEN, and FOR/NEXT.

JAVA/C++: Programs made of many Objects, each with a name, variables, and functions.
Made of functions like PRINTLN(), IF(){}ELSE{}, and FOR( ;; ).

Assembly, Basic, and Java or C++ can all be used, in different cases, to tell robots what to do. (They can all be translated into Machine-Code).

It really depends on the setup in the Robot Project in class. If you're doing it all yourself, it will be pretty difficult to get ALL the stuff you need to make your own robot, not to mention a little expensive.

Don't hurt his fragile self-image!
You know, dude's only 14, and his peers, whom he respects, say things like that, it could make a kid turn bad, or worse.

Never hurt yourself, kasper, and don't put up with people who treat you any worse than they treat themselves.

Ok, I'm done being a tree-hugging hippy.
It's PUB time!

Hey, if I could approve layouts on a per-user basis, I'd be right there man. But you know the old saying? One bad apple spoils the bunch? Well, one guy with a huge layout that blinks in your face and screams and calls you gay while your grandmother's standing in the room... Lets just say I've turned off layouts for good.

Better gas mileage than the Hummer. *gasp*
Did I just say that?!

OMG, SUV stands for Stupid Useless Vehicle! (Especially when you freaks don't know how to DRIVE them) "OMG, I'm 3 miles away from the other car in the parking lot but I'm big and I'm gonna hit it so I better drive at 0.000001 miles per hour!!!"

If you're making robots, you're not going to want to use a Markup Language, like HTML or CFML, a meta-markup language like PHP or ASP, or a Markup scripting language like VBscript or Javascript.

If you want a language that has been proven to run on the widest variety of platforms, you might like to check out Java. However, C/C++ is fairly platform independent as well, it just doesn't have a built-in graphics library the way Java does.

What you might want is a low-level language like ASM: Assembly Language. That's a language that's VERY close to what the machine is doing, but also capable of being read and understood fairly simply by humans.

Assuming you have to work with transistors, resistors, and IC chips, they're probably going to want you to work with Assembly, and we will pray God takes mercy on your soul.

Differences between Languages
Assembly:
Machine code. Dependent on Processor.
(No two brands of processor run the same assembly language. Limited number of variables. Computer instructions are sequential; line one comes before line two.)

BASIC:
Beginners Allpurpose Symbolic Instruction Code. Fairly platform independent.
(One program can run on another type of computer with few modifications)
(Most basic languages include very few and very simple one-word instructions, similar to assembly, but easy to understand. Variables limited by computer memory. Computer instructions are sequential; line one comes before line two.)

Java/C++:
Object Oriented Languages. Platform Independent.
(One program can run on another type of computer with no modifications, in most cases)
(Most object-oriented languages include structures that relate to eachother in specific ways. [encapsulate, inherit, abstract, polymorph] Variables are attributes of these objects. Computer instructions are contained in methods the objects use to do things; line one is a part of function one inside object one.)

Hybrid cars are better for the environment; thus reducing the onslaught of cancer from monoxide poisoning, and saving lives of pedestrians who have to walk or bike down sidewalks built next to roads...

It's a good idea, but cars already run 10% on electricity. What do you think the battery's for? Without a battery, the car doesn't start. Without an alternator, the car doesn't start and the battery doesn't recharge. (The interesting thing though, is that you can disconnect the battery if the alternator's running, because the alternator is what actually powers the car after it's turned on.)

If I remember correctly...

Oh, and HYBRIDS ARE FOR HIPPY TREE-HUGGING LIBERALS

That's a "virus" called Windows XP (without SP2).
You shouldn't need a Service Pack to run your operating system productively.
Not if they got it right the first time.
I'm a large advocator that patches are LAME.

Seeing the same huge 500x500 pixel graphics over and over again, this *is* monotony. I've done this. I'd prefer seeing the actual post content, which breaks up the monotony of poorly-made layouts which oftentimes break pages and threads. =p

That's just me though.

Yeah, usually ports are desired for specific games played over a LAN or the interweb, but sometimes it's instant messengers like trillian causing the problems.

Disabling the firewall might be handy as a temporary solution, especially if you don't know the right ports. But sometimes (on some ISPs), just bringing down the firewall can cause your machine to display the following message;

And you will have 60 seconds to save your work (practically impossible, especially in photoshop with 15 images open) before microsoft decides that it's necessary to erase EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE IN THE PAST FIVE HOURS...

Not that I have had any personal problems losing productivity... But how stupid is it for Microsoft to have programmed this little easter egg into their OS... And then given only 60 seconds (not like you can ever change the number of seconds)... They obviously think that the system is stable enough to use for another 60,000 milliseconds... Why not 120,000? Why not 250,000? Why not indefinitely? Because they're MORONS is why.

I hate programmers.
