I admit I have not played it completely through, but I will, it will only take some time. In the mean time I write this review because I like the game and the only problem I have with it is that the sprites for the pokemon are not unique.
In battle they are what they look like in the wild, but when you go to name them and look at them in the pokemon menu it shows them as other pokemon. For example, the fire starter shows up as what was intended when in battle, but when you go to name it and look at it in the pokemon menu it is Charmanders sprite. Very annoying because I get easily confused thinking it IS a Charmander even though it has a different name than Charmander.
Over all though I like the premise of the game. The environment is awesome. Different from the generic ones we always see in the pokemon games.
The story I have yet to see, but I do hope it is not like other pokemon games where it is: Stop whatever Team is up to no good, Beat the Gyms and Elite four, and then stop whatever team from getting the legendary pokemon.
I have high hopes, and even if it is generic in story the fact they have different pokemon and a different environment is enough to check this game out. All I ask is if the authors of Marble (and any other author of pokemon hacked games where they remake the pokemon) see this review they will take it into account and change the little sprites I mentioned in my review.
Hope you found this review helpful. Give it a try. It is a refreshing difference compared to the regular pokemon games. Oh, did I mention the talking is not as if they were talking to a five year old? Yeah, that was nice.
