All you need to do is download a current rom... ONLY the first release had that issue. There is a thread (on the rgr page for ultra violet) made by tRIUNE that explains how to get the upgraded rom.

earthwarrior : i dont know either, ive never added a new type. But if the data is in a table or a list limited by a number... it "should" be repointable... it cant be that hard to figure out in a hex editor

XHero111 : you can probably just repount the table that houses that data... its worth a shot... that way u wont have to delete any original data.

sapira : advance text is only useful for text u cant find in game... like intro text

Use a script editor to edit all character speech... pksv or xse are 2 good script editors.. ull need advance map aswell

This thread comes complete with vizzed logos already made (in the correct format) And instructions for FR and Emerald. I did not have a copy of Ruby on hand but the Emerald logo will work, just find your own unLZ number

This tutorial is aimed at getting more hacks in the Vizzed Pokemon Rom Hacking Competition(https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=62280), many of the submitted hacks simply need to add “Vizzed.com” to the title screen and the hackers don’t know how.
After reading this you will have all the tools and knowledge to remedy this issue and get your hack into the competition.

As always, Back up your rom, just in case something goes wrong.

First, download this .rar file

and unzip it somewhere on your computer (near your rom hack preferably) and open the software called “unLZ-GBA.exe”

Once inside unLZ, Click “Open File” then find your rom

Now, find the box below the “Import” button and beside the “GoTo” button, it is currently marked “0”
If you are hacking Fire Red Version, type “2013” in that box
If you are hacking Emerald Version, type “2613” in that box

Then click the “GoTo” button.
(NOTE: do not hit “enter” or the software will close… don’t know why)

Now you see the image that controls the GameFreak logo on the title screen

Click the “Import” button
and navigate to the folder where you unzipped the .rar (at the beginning of the tutorial)

Then select the corresponding .png file named “(Yourrom) Vizzed logo.png”

Finally, click the “Write to Rom” button
Make sure the “Export Image” is selected and the “Export Palette” is NOT selected.
then click “OK”

And test your game

I do not recommend using this tutorial as a guide to make custom logos, there is a little more to it when making your own logo, the provided Vizzed.com logos are designed correctly and will work. If you go in msPaint and try and make your own, it will either not work or look like crap.

tRIUNE : if any users are really having trouble? I can add it for em... its REALLY easy to replace tge gamefreak logo with a vizzed logo. I could just make the image and add it to the forum for them to replace it themselves... if they want

earthwarrior : yes, ull set a variable at the end of the town script that activates the lab script

Use the one in fr (where oak walks you in his lab after you try to leave with no poke) as a reference

Glaceonwhisper : thats very possible... you can change the text, sprites, even the pokemon oak throws out fairly easily... 

If you wanna get more complicated, you can change the placement of the sprites and even the background (i dont know how to chamge the background but ive seen   it done)

Just as long as the thread Davideo7 made (on page 4 of this thread) stays up to date, in happy.. i like to keep an eye on my competition ;P

I am looking forward to all of the hacks that are nearing completion... the current 3 games make me sad (not the games themselves, the lack of quantity) ... dont be lazy, get em finished

Well, this isnt my first hack man... it is my shortest. It was made for a contest... and i thought i had only 3 months so i did make the story short.

The difficulty issue is not me lol. I changed none of the difficulties, raised no trainer difficulties. I did add some trainers and they are tougher. Gamefreak made it easy... 

The reason there are so many rare candies is cause there are no team rocket fights. So you lose all that expierience. I added the rare candies to keep up the trainers levels. And its 50% of cubones have them.

Now.. the glitch. Ive had maybe 5 people have this issue and i have never made it happen. Im glad you took a pic so i can look into it... youve got a good grasp on the story... thanks for the write up.

earthwarrior : personally i think everyone that is inactive has forfitted all ideas to the hack. They should be added to the credits of course but as far as prize monies go it should go to the active hackers. And all ideas submitted to the open   forum (stuff in your thread) is now free game for u to use.

Glaceonwhisper : my only complaint is giving a pokemon with higher stats than normal... very hard to do... not impossible. Just very very hard...

An answer would be to make that the only place in   the   game to get that poke... and raise the base stats of the entire race of pokemons... sothat the one you get will appear stronger compared to   stats found online... but i dont   think   thats what you were wanting.

Even if you dont finish on time the point is to make a great game. I work best alone aswell and 3 months is plenty of time to make a good hack. Ultraviolet took 3 months and its got a 9.5 rating (last i checked) rocket science was quite a bit shorter but thats not to say i did little to the hack (ive just gotten better at doing it since ultraviolet) 

If you want a new story in a new world with new graphics and music... ni 3 months wont cut it. I went with a new story and some new sprites... maps take the lingest to impliment so i made very few new maps... i designed the hack based on the time limit. Ignoring the time consumung things.

Shinies can be scripted easily. Its easier to script shiny event battles than shiny wild... but both are doable (easily)

And a gym leader with shinies is also easy. Infact you can script the gym leader with as many shinies in any order that you want. Like havine 2 normal pokes a shiny and a normal and another shiny... in that order.

Its all pretty simple scripting. If earthwarrior does not know how pm me ill explain it.
