Thank you all for your input. It is a true shame that an all religions board would not be considered but if the owner of the site is against it, then I suppose he is entitled to feel that way. (it is his site after all) I am glad to know other people agree with me, though. Thank you again!

rcarter2 : I don't think being a liberal Christian doesn't make sense. I know many people with similar beliefs. I am glad to know that although you are Christian, you would be for other religious discussions

I noticed there is a sub forum for conservative Christians which is really great, but what about liberals and atheists? Or people of other religious beliefs? Would it be possible to have forums for those people too? Personally I would really appreciate it and it would make me feel very welcome because I am a Liberal and agnostic. It would be great to have a sub forum where people with similar beliefs can discuss with me. Let me know what you think of this idea!

Hmm good question. For the most part, I am not very hard core when gaming, but I think the accomplishment that took me the most work was getting all the GFs in FF8. That was HARD and TIME CONSUMING.

I am having a frustrating problem playing Paper Mario. I have tried saving before by saving the way I normally would on the n64 because on my laptop, pressing F2 always disconnects/reconnects me to the internet. I have been able to load my game before but now, no matter what I do to open the game, my save file is gone and I am tired of starting new games over and over. Could someone give me advice or suggest what I may be doing wrong? Much appreciated.

I believe that whether or not it is an art all depends on three major questions:

1. What was the creator's purpose?
2. What message does it send?
3. How do people react to it?

I don't believe that all pornography is art. Most of it serves an obvious purpose. But just because an image has nudity (or even sex) in it, does not make it pornographic. Michelangelo's work, for example, had nudity in it but inspired feelings of awe and creativity. Not only that, but the nudity tells a story beyond sexual pleasure, or maybe has nothing to do with sexual pleasure at all. The problem with western culture is we too often associate nudity with sex when it symbolizes much more than that: vulnerability, growth, birth, freedom, passion, etc. I don't think there is a way to ultimately determine the exact "rules" that decide whether or not something is art. Like I stated before, it depends on three things. Here are some examples of what I mean.

PORN
1. What was the creator's purpose? To inspire feelings of pleasure to the audience that leads to a sexual release
2. What message does it send? That sex and nudity is displayed for nothing more than pleasure and sexual release
3. How do people react to it? They feel pleasure and the need to relieve themselves sexually

POSSIBLY ART
1. What was the creator's purpose? To make the audience think, to inspire an emotion, to express them self
2. What message does it send? It tells a story or makes a statement that might teach a lesson beyond sexual pleasure.
3. How do people react to it? They feel any range of emotions: fear, nostalgia, sorrow, regret, etc. Or they feel mentally provoked in a way that causes them to think about an issue or concept that they never pondered before.


Once again, it is always up for interpretation, but these are my beliefs and I think they are accurate to the way a lot of others feel.

Thank you for posting this! I remember learning about Logical Fallacies in 11th grade and I always found them fascinating. Not only that, but it is a good way to keep myself in check and not be manipulated by what other people say. Still, when trying to be persuasive, taking advantage of other people's ignorance is very effective... even though it is wrong. 

I am so sick of Democrats and Republicans. I wish there was more recognition for other parties, but sadly whoever has the money has the power and both the Democrat and Republican parties have way more money than the other ones do. I am going to be able to vote this year for the first time and I believe I will vote for Obama because although he is doing way less than us liberals expected of him and is almost seeming to be more of a Conservative than a Liberal, I believe he is the lesser of two evils. I am sorry but I think all the Republicans running for office this year are major idiots. (Thank goodness Santorum pulled out) But of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Let's see how things turn out.
