iN008 : Thank you, with the games I grew up with or love beyond reason I try to give them more I don't know if it shows but I really try and I love the reviews I come up with, so far this one and my Bioshock review I think are the best I have written. Yeah when I was younger the Happy Mask Salesman scared me so badly when he first showed up, like following around a little boy and teaching him a song that steals peoples faces and turns them into masks! I just thought of something, what if he stole Mario's face? O.O By the way, thank you so very much for the rate it helps me out greatly.

The Legend of Zelda alone is one of my all  time favorite video game franchises, and Majora's Mask is definitely no exception to this. One of the things that really attracted me to this game is how much darker the series was going, considering that Majora's Mask is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. The story is great and the game play is great, all in all this game deserves the praise that it received, and does receive. So I'm sure that it is no shock that I rated this game a solid 10 out of 10. Alongside Ocarina, this game is my favorite of the Zelda series. My one and only real problem with this game however, is the way the saving works. When I was young and first started to play this game on my Nintendo 64 I never made it anywhere because my save would be completely messed up because I was saving incorrectly.

The save system works in one of two ways, you can either play the Song of Time and have everything you collected (excluding special items like bottles and songs) and start on the first of the three days saving automatically, or you can stop at one of the many owl statues and perform a quick save. When I was young I had no idea the owl was used for quick saving. Needless to say that I understand now and have beaten the game multiple times.

Anyway getting into the review, the graphics really don't look much different than Ocarina of Time's graphics so I rated it an 8. I would have rated it an 8.5 like I did with Ocarina, but vizzed has changed the rating system a little. Anyway, I thought the game(s) looked great. Majora's Mask has an interesting look to it though, as to make you feel like you are in a different place than Hyrule which you are. The world Link is now traversing is Termina. I'm going to digress a little here and just point out a few things, first off there is no tri-force in Termina except on a statue that depicts a strange creature licking it. I like to think that the people of Termina, being the Hyrulians polar opposites do not like the idea of the three Goddess so mock them when possible. Second, Skull Kid's design was originally black with that strange beak thing but this was seen as a secret racism so it was changed (this also happened with Jynx from Pokémon). Third and finally, I really like to think that the beloved friend that Link is looking for at the beginning (and never finds) is Navi, even though Navi got on my nerves.

Sorry for my digression, anyway the sound of this game was fantastic. I rated it a 9, there were songs for the Ocarina that Link carries added for new dungeons and they sound awesome. The Song of Time has remained however. Link still doesn't say a word, but he still does the action sounds when swinging his sword or attacking. As for addictiveness I rated a 10, and I don't think I need to explain why. However, this is a review so that would defeat the purpose. This game is highly addicting just like Ocarina. Once you get the saving systems down you are in it to win it, as they say. This game has caused me a lot of sleepless nights, let's just put it that way.

The story, here is one of my favorite parts of the game. I rated the story a 10, it was amazing. Link, after saving Hyrule as the hero of time is on a quest looking for a beloved friend but gets robbed of his ocarina by Skull Kid. After giving chase to Skull Kid and his two fairy friend Tatl and Teal, Link is then turned into a Deku by the Skull Kid. Tatl begins to mess with Link as Skull Kid and her brother Teal are leaving, which ends up leaving Tatl to team up with our hero. Link soon discovers a man known as the Happy Mask Salesman (creepiest man in the world), and he tells him of Majora's Mask which was stolen from him by none other than Skull Kid. The mask has a terrible power that will end up destroying the world in three days so Link must return it for him. After getting his ocarina back Link then learns two songs, the Song of Time and the Song of Healing. The Song of Healing turns troubled souls into masks which he can use along his quest. Each mask having a different transformation for Link to undergo whenever he wears them. I do believe that would be the jist of the story, I was trying not to make it a spoiler but just to explain what is going on in the game.

The depth of this game I gave an 8, I'd say that the overall map is about the same size as the map in Ocarina and even uses some of the same landscapes. Like the Romani Ranch sign, it is the exact same sign from Kakariko Village in Ocarina. However, there a ton more items to be used in this game, primarily the masks. As for difficulty I rated it an 8, the game itself I don't want to say is hard I personally think that I rated this high due to my problems with the saving, but the game is probably about the same difficulty level as Ocarina. Of course the enemies for the most part are the same.

Well that's it for this review, I know it has been a while since my last review and I really hope that I'm not getting rusty and that you all enjoy it. I try to take a lot of time into these to make them as good as I can. I really enjoyed writing this one, like I said before The Legend of Zelda is one of my favorite franchises and Majora's Mask is one of my favorites from the series. I really hope that I have inspired those who have not played this game to give it a try, I promise that you will not be disappointed. Until next time.

The Castlevania series has put out quite a few good games and this one is no exception. I loved this title, the game play is great and the story is decent. Although I wish they didn't use Dracula because of the whole Bram Stoker book and the films kind of overrating him, but I can't really complain because the game was really good. Trying to explain what kind of game this is, well is kind of difficult because it is kind of a mixture of a side scrolling beat 'em up, plat former, action and rpg game. However, I have always thought of it as an rpg.

I rated the game overall a 9.9 I loved it and I had it through my teenage years, I have no idea where it is now but I had a great time playing the game. It is definitely a game that is worth praise, and I don't think many people even know of this titles existence which is a shame really. I remember when I first started this game, I was blown away by how dark it was. At the time I was still in the days where gameboy games consisted of things like Mario and Pokémon etc. You know things that appeal to children. Then I popped this game in and was swept away to different place, a much more darker place.

The graphics of this game of the game are great so I rated them an 8, I would have given them a 9 or a 10 if the background was more interactive I guess you could say. I just found some of the backgrounds a little boring, but they looked really good nonetheless. The sound was interesting, I rated it a 6 because as interesting as it was nothing really stuck out to me and hearing the main character making those noises when he jumps got on my nerves after a while. There were however a few rooms that I had encountered that had an awesome song to it and often found it stuck in my head.

The addictiveness of this game I rated an 8, I loved it and didn't want to put it down..until I got my hands on the next Pokémon game that is. I do however think that if there were no other games to distract me I would play this title all the time. I had a wonderful time when I first played it and still do whenever I pick it back up. The story I had to give a 7, because in my opinion it was kind of generic. As said before your enemy is Dracula, who has been reborn by a cult and by a cult I mean a strange woman. He kidnaps your master and now you and your rival must traverse through Dracula's castle and find him, however your rival is not to thrilled with you being in the castle so whenever he sees you, he is always telling you to leave. And you must stop Dracula before the full moon appears or he'll sacrifice your master and take over the world. The castle is filled with enemy's though, so getting to him will not be easy.

When it comes to the depth I rated this game a 9, the map is huge especially for a gameboy advance game. I was amazed at how much of rooms I had discovered when I started and how big it was. There are a few secret rooms to, however they are not as secret as you may think. Once you started uncovering rooms on your map you will see the secret rooms and can easily get to them and find out what is inside. The difficulty I rated a 7, the game can be challenging when it comes to trying to get to a new place or room or when fighting bosses. But other than that the game is not that hard, especially if you have experience with beat 'em up games.

Circle of the moon is a great game, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the darker side of games, or vampires and I mean real vampires. There is no team Edward here. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this review and will stick around and read my next one whenever it will show, till next review.

bombchu link : Thank you and that is awesome that there are people out there who have had the same experience with Sonic as I have, I remember being a child and hooking up the Sega and choosing between two games Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Earthworm Jim lol

mscoral : That is a great way to describe the graphics, I didn't think of that but you are right they are sort of cute if you look at them, I remember that they were really great for the time the game came out. And I really don't get why some Mario fans are like that, I mean I like Mario to but I'm not going to go hating on Sonic and I mean Sonic was a lot faster which I personally think added to the game. And thank you very much for the kind words

I have to say that (and like it was mentioned before that our country is more better off than most) I am not all that proud of our country (United States). We get into other countries business, and might I add that it is the ones that have oil. Also, our country has changed so much and although some may be good a lot of it is bad for instance basing laws on religious beliefs, I mean not everyone in this place is of the same religion and I find that completely intolerant. I think that our country has lost complete control on it's morals and has become corrupt in so many ways.

I was doing a number of things, mainly because I'm at my girlfriends place waiting for her to get off of work, but I played Chrono Trigger and then Majora's Mask and then I played a bit of guitar and then watched Alf and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys

Although I am kind of a nostalgic and love both shows I am going to have to choose Scooby Doo, I like Tom and Jerry like I said before I love both shows, but I can get bored of Tom and Jerry and the stuff they have on nowadays with Tom and Jerry is just kind of ridiculous and I really don't like them and on that note Cartoon Network Tom and Jerry do not talk ever so stop it! And with the newer Scooby Doo it is okay I suppose, I know a lot of people don't like the fact that Shaggy and Velma dated but I don't mind it to much I actually seen it coming they seemed like a good couple in the Scooby Doo Were are you? But I'm glad that it ended because if it would have lasted all season it would have gotten annoying.

Hitmontop the baby form of both Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, fighting type Pokémon,  I personally like the baby Pokémon although they were introduced to late and Hitmonlee is kind of a favorite or mine so I'll rate Hitmontop a 7.9 out of 10. Now how about Raichu, my all time favorite Pokémon

I don't know if this exactly counts as Zelda paraphernalia but I got an ocarina for Christmas, it is not like a special LoZ one or anything but it is pretty cool and every time I pick it up I feel like Link lol I can't wait to learn how to play it, I'm definitely going to learn the Song of Time and Song of Storms XD

Sonic the Hedgehog was my very first plat former game, and I must say I was not disappointed. I loved Sonic, to be honest and I'm sure I am probably going to get a lot of hate for saying this, but I think Sonic was way better than Mario. Not saying that I don't like Mario, I do but I like Sonic more. Anyway, I grew up with the Sega Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2, also Spinball but that is for a different review. I played the crap out of these games and never got bored of them. Even though they do lack story, I mean they never did tell you what Robotnik was up to really, you just kind of assume that he is after world domination. Or he just really hates Hedgehogs?

It's really no surprise that I rated this game a 10 overall, not to say that there are a few things that make this game less than perfect, it is still a great game nonetheless. And every game has a flaw or two. As for Sonic's flaws, sometimes you'll go to fast and hit something VERY unexpectedly and there was also the fact that it did not support saving up until the third installment of the series. Having a Genesis as a kid if you wanted to beat this game you had to leave the system on all night because saving was not an option, to bad too. If Sonic could have saved than this game would get pretty much no criticism from me at least.

Graphics and sound I rated a 9, the game looks and sounds amazing. The graphics, especially for its time look fantastic it is not all pixelated like the NES was and you could tell what everything was. The music was catchy and often got stuck in my head, but it wasn't bad. I really enjoyed listening to the music and sounds that came from this game. The Sonic series had some of the best game music I have ever heard, and I still at times hum a lot of the tunes, especially the Casino Zone song from the second game.

As for addictiveness, since this game was very hooking for me I gave it a 10. I always played Sonic when I was a kid. I still pick it up from time to time, I am still a lucky and proud owner of a Sega Genesis and the copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I remember when I first played Sonic, I was instantly addicted. I played all night the first time, and was told to stay away from the Sega for a while because of playing to much Sonic. So needless to say this game and series is fantastic to me.

The story I rated a 4, because to be honest I don't really know if there was one. There was never any speech or dialogue box to follow, and you never really knew what Robotnik was after. Of course I think it is safe to assume world domination or something of the sort since Sonic doesn't have a Princess or a girlfriend. That is not until later in the franchise. As for depth a 7, this game has a lot of Zones and secret stages where you can collect Chaos Emeralds. The secret stages where not to complicated in this game, or the second one for that matter. All you had to do was control a spinning Sonic in a crazy maze like dimension(?) and find the emerald. Plain and simple, but you could not touch these strange looking red orb things because it would end the stage. Now for difficulty, I rated the game a 5. When I was first getting into the game I thought it was kind of hard but I think that was because I was young. But now when I play it I easily breeze through the game. Often times I'll perform speed runs of the game just to see how much I remember and how well I can play the game.

Overall Sonic the Hedgehog is a great game, and an awesome franchise and I seriously recommend the first installment. Especially if you are into plat formers, and I know that Mario fans often give Sonic hate, but I think that if they tried it they could grow to really like Sonic too. Anyway, until my next review thanks for reading.

Those are great examples, and I know exactly what you both mean and as was mentioned before Anime tends to pull that move a lot. I don't understand when they never mention it again to, like we are just going to forget it was ever mentioned or brought up. Perfect example the GS Ball from the Jhoto series or Pokémon, they never came back to Kurt with any answers and they just never mentioned it again. Another show I would like to point out and I put some series thoughts into this one because to me the show seemed more realistic rather than set in a fantasy type of world, Yu-Gi-Oh! First off, Pegasus created the game so if he has ever single card then there would have been 5 Blue Eyes White Dragons at the beginning right? Also, Kaiba kills me when he rips Salomon's Blue Eyes because he won the duel the card was his fair and square (sort of) but he rips it so no one uses it against him...uh? Maybe it was because you could only have 3 cards in your deck. Anyway, I have noticed that this is a place where a card game means the end of the world, which makes no sense it's a flipping card game. Is there society so under minded that losing a game of cards is earth shattering? If our Governments system determined things by playing a game of duel monsters with fending Countries then there might be a problem. If anyone who reads this have played the actual official card game then  you know that the shows version of the game is drastically different by what each card does, and again this doesn't make much sense to me why does it do different things then what I have seen on the television? Oh and Mokuba needs to stop complaining and just be patient, I understand in duelist kingdom he was a prisoner and wanted his big brother to save him but my god do we need to know every flipping episode?
