Being born in '85, I grew up during Nintendo's rise to power. Thus the 3rd gen is my favorite era, though I could almost equally go for the 4th gen as well.

By C64 I am assuming you guys are talking about a Commodore 64 computer system? I actually had one of those for a while when I was like 13-14. My first computer actually (lol, my cheapskate parents). I don't have the computer anymore (it got ruined in storage) but I still have all those grotesquely large floppy games (and some actual software too).

I actually learned little bits of Basic programming on the C64 too!

I agree David, lol. I remember playing Super Mario Bros with my mom all the time. That and Dr. Mario, a game that she was and still is addicted too. I still even own my original copy of the first Legend of Zelda, and still play it to this day. The WiiWare ability is cool, but sometimes there is nothing like the feel of an NES controller in your hands.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

The sequel to the ground breaking Tales of Symphonia, Dawn of the New World returns players to the familiar lands of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla - now joined together by the Regeneration.

But chaos has consumed the lands. Deserts are now covered in snow, lakes have dried up; the worlds mana has come unbalanced.

The game follows two new heroes: Emil and Marta as they try to awaken the Lord of Monsters - Ratatosk - and bring the world's mana back into balance.

Joining them throughout are many characters from the original, and the game play is stretched across familiar lands.

-------------------------------------------------------

I must say this was an impressive addition to the Tales series, especially for a sequel. Being on the Wii, the graphics are not the greatest, not when paired against a game like Tales of Vesparia, but they do the game justice.

Game play control is simple enough, no different really than an other Tales game. The innovation of the Wii remote and Nunchuk are not greatly used, but really in the style of a true Tales game they have no place.

The story is absolutely amazing, and will leave the player guessing at every turn as to just whats really going on with the world. Apparently Sylvarant and Tethe'alla do not make good neighbors lol.

If I have any complaints, its only this: There is no field map for random encounters between towns. Which means its harder to EXP farm . The game uses a sort of "quick jump" system when moving between locations.

All in all, I would say a 9/10 in my book.

I chose "It's wrong but I still do it".

I many times download ROMs for the simple fact to try games. I got tired of game shopping, seeing a game, going "This looks cool", buying said new game for $40+, then playing said game and going "This game sucks!"

Now I'm out $40+ and stuck with a game I don't like. I use emulation as a way to demo games first. Then I purchase the ones I like.

ANd that's only a start, in the future you'd start doing other systems.

Alright, well what will I need to know for this? The little bit of graphic work is easy enough to handle. I am pretty proficient in HTML and have a good strong knowledge of XHTML, but as far as PHP or MYSQL go I haven't a clue.

EDIT: But who am I kidding anyway? After some careful thought I couldn't take on this kind of project anyway. LOL! I barely can find any time for my own websites or projects. Sorry David, I would love to help....

What sort of web design stuff do you need for Get-Your-Rom. I am no expert (heck, id barely call myself intermediate if I had a choice lol), but it is my chosen field.

No time like the present to start gaining some real experience lol.

Yeah, a few of us do know about the comic already. It is a great comic.

If you look at any of IceWave04's posts or his profile, you can tell he is a fan of the comic.
