Lessee, good. Well, I discovered this place, and finally got my hands on Xenogears thanks to it.

Bad? I've been hungry all day despite having eaten what should be plenty of food.

Hrm, that was the only bad I could come up with other than "the rat cages next me really stink." So I guess that means it was a good day.

I don't smoke, but I have in the past. Never all that much, though I wouldn't exactly say I was a social smoker. I genuinely liked the taste of what I was smoking. I was really picky about what cigarettes I'd buy, and the ones I liked were extremely expensive, so I figured I'd cut my losses while I could and quit before getting addicted.

I'm glad I did. The cheapest I'd buy was well over 5 bucks a pack. I'm poor enough without going and getting myself addicted to something as useless and hazardous and disturbing to the people around me and expensive as smoking.

The name I'm using for this site doesn't have a very interesting story, I'm afraid.

I originally thought I was being clever or unique in combining rocks with awesome, but shortly discovered it's often a name that's taken when I try to sign up for sites.

I haven't come up with something else yet so here I go continuing to use it.

I used to use CowboyRaver or some variation of that but I never much liked it. It was from a picture a friend of mine drew in early high school. I was never a cowboy (not even a boy) nor have I ever been what one might call a raver, so that's why I attempted to change names.

This thread is a bit old and didn't get much response, but I seem to remember something in the FAQ about if a topic isn't locked it's free for posting in... still I feel odd about posting in something that died in October.

Ahem, anyway.

My favorite bands list is actually kind of big, I guess. My favorites are Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the White Stripes, and Bloc Party.

I'm tempted to make it even longer because really I have like ten favorites that I can hardly put over each other.

I'm pretty out of touch with newer music for the most part, but hopefully having internet again will fix that for me soon.

I'd like to second this. I've gotten the first disc to work, but was having some issues with the second. I haven't tried it again yet, so I don't know that there's an issue with it or not, it could have been an error on my end.

When extracting files for that one I got a corrupted file and it wouldn't work. Like I said, I went ahead and downloaded it again yet haven't tried extraction again just yet.

I have a strong preference for the fourth generation. I was alive during the third but a bit too young to properly appreciate it. I do have fond memories of a lot of NES games, but the SNES was the system that really got me into gaming. Genesis was pretty sweet too.

I'm quite fond of the fifth and sixth generations as well. Current gen I only have a Wii, and not many games for it. I'm past the point of family buying my games for me so I get a lot less than I used to.

Most of my favorite games are SNES or Playstation. So yeah, fourth and fifth follows behind closely.

I was recently at a friend's and we were playing N64 and talking about old games we used to play in addition to playing some of them. I think it was thanks to NFL Blitz that the conversation shifted slight to Sega Genesis and the Mutant League games.

My brother and I used to play both of them all the time. From what I remember we preferred the Hockey game. It had a fun little mini-game when fights broke out and the loser got extra penalty time. I haven't played either of them in ages, but I've recently taken to looking for them any time I'm in game store that sells classic systems and games. At some point I'm sure I'll cave and get a Genesis emulator to play them.

I hope others here have played too, and also that there hasn't been a thread about them recently. I looked, but I admit not 100% thoroughly. Shameful, I know.

If you have played, which was you favorite and what was your favorite about each? I've forgotten a lot about both of them I'm sure.

I have to go with the crowd on this one. I love Chrono Trigger, though Terranigma is definitely a favorite too. Now, if this were between Chrono Trigger and Illusion of Gaia, I might have been a bit more torn.

I don't really even have a solid reason as for why, but I've always preferred Final Fantasy VIII to any of the others I've played. I love most of them about equally, but I think the storyline and the being in school aspect of VIII won me over. I spent way too much time taking tests to get more pay.

Haha, no, that's not all I'm here for. I've done a fair bit of poking around in other forums but have yet to post outside this one. I always take a while before I feel fully comfortable posting on new boards.

I'm female, 21, obviously I like games or I wouldn't be here. I live in Texas, I'm not a redneck or anything similar, and I'm still pretty new to the whole emulator scene so expect a lot of newb questions out of me.

Though of course I'll try and find if it's been answered some place already before posting. I think I'll have a look at the FAQ for now.
