Let's dive deep into the wild and wacky world of stereotypical gamers. Just for the laughs, of course. No offense intended! Let us know which ones you are, which ones you despise, or which ones your friends are. The Rage-Quitter "Controller Demolition Expert" First up on our list is our fiery friend, the rage-quitter. You'll know this gamer by the amount of broken controllers at their feet. They're also the one that mysteriously goes "offline" whenever they're losing. Oh, and if you hear distant screams of “LAG!” from somewhere in your neighborhood? Yep, that's them. The Backseat Gamer "Captain Hindsight's Gaming Consultant" Ah, the infamous backseat gamer. They don’t actually play, they just have a lot of “helpful” advice for those who do. Like, "You should've taken the left path!" or "Why didn't you use the special move?" Thanks, Captain Hindsight. The Lore Master "Wikipedia's Gaming Section, Personified" This is the person who knows the name of the blacksmith's cat from that RPG game you played ten years ago. They will give you a 3-hour lecture on a game's lore and backstory, when all you asked was, “Is this game any good?” History teachers wish they were as detailed as these guys! The Silent Prodigy "The Mute Assassin" No one knows how they do it. They never speak. They're just... really good. Like, scarily good. They join the game, wipe out everyone, and then leave, all without saying a word. The gaming equivalent of a ninja, perhaps? The Social Butterfly "Chatty Cathy of Call of Duty" For this gamer, every game is a social network. They're less concerned about the mission and more interested in chatting. "Hey, anyone here from Ohio?" The Button Masher "Accidental Winner" Yup, you know who I’m talkin' about. Doesn’t have a CLUE about the controls but will slam every button and hope for the best. And the worst part? They sometimes do win. If you've ever lost to a button masher, just know that my heart goes out to you, buddy. The “Back in My Day” Retro Gamer "Stuck in the past" Oh boy, this one’s a gem. “Remember when games came in cartridges? Those were the days” or "They don't make games like they use to" or even better "I only play retro games" Yeah, dude, we get it. Pixels were cool, and blowing into cartridges was... therapeutic? The Over-Strategist "This is life or death" You're just playing a casual game, and then this dude hops in. Suddenly, it’s like you're in a war room planning the next big invasion. “Okay, you flank left, I’ll run distraction, and then...” Dude, it’s just Mario Kart! But honestly? Kinda respect the hustle. The Mic Eater "DJ Crunch n' Munch" "Always eating while gaming" Is that... crunching? Chewing? Maybe a tornado? Oh no, it's just Michael eating chips DIRECTLY into his microphone. Michael, buddy, please! We’re begging you; it's called push-to-talk! Also, never touch their controllers...ewwwwwww. The "It's Just A Game" Gamer Lost a match? "It's just a game." Accidentally blew up the team? "Just a game." This player has mastered the art of keeping cool (or maybe just using excuses as to why they suck ![]() The Achievement Hunter Doesn't really play for fun. It's all about unlocking those achievements. "Dude, why are you riding that goat for 3 hours?" "Gotta get that 'Goat Rider Pro' badge!" The Fashionista Gamer "Spends $100s on cosmetics!" It’s not about winning; it’s about looking good. Whether it's Fortnite skins, Animal Crossing outfits, or custom Minecraft textures – this player's avatar is always on fleek. The "Sorry, What?" Gamer Maybe theyre multitasking, or maybe they're just in their own little world. You explain the plan, start the mission, and then… “Wait, what are we doing?” Classic. The "Unintentional Comedian" "Mistake-Making Meme Machine" This person doesn't try to be funny, but their gameplay? A sheer masterpiece of comedic timing. Walking into walls, mistaking enemies for friends, constantly lost, list goes on. The "Eternal Optimist" Down by 10 points with 5 seconds to go? No worries, this player still believes! They're all about those positive vibes and pep talks. "Guys, I've seen crazier comebacks! We got this!" And sometimes, just sometimes, they actually pull it off.But probably only 1% of the time ![]() The "One More Game" Guy The clock strikes midnight. "Alright, last game, guys." Fast forward to 4 am, and they're still at it. And they have to be at work in 4 hours. The Pro Gamer Wannabe You've seen this dude. Wears the fanciest gaming gear, has the most RGB lights in their setup, and constantly name-drops pro gamers... but their skills? A solid "eh". You know, for all that RGB, you'd think their reflexes would be a bit... faster. The "My Mic's Broken" Guy Always online. Never speaks. Types out crucial info while the rest of us are being blown to smithereens. Probably has a perfectly fine mic but just too shy to admit he sounds like Alvin the Chipmunk. The Eternal Noob "Groundhog Day Gamer" Been playing for years but still asks, "Which button do I press to jump?" or "How do I craft a sword?". The "Always Low on Battery" Pal Their controller's dying. Their headset's dying. Even their pet hamster's on its last wheel-spin (gosh I hope no one reading has a hamster on their last wheel-spin, otherwise I'm sorry). Maybe one day they'll discover the magical artifact known as...a charger? The "Tunnel Vision" Gamer This player has one strategy and one strategy only. Running head-first into enemy fire. It's not about if it's effective; it's about sending a message. And the message is usually "I'm back at the respawn point." The "I Saw It On YouTube" Enthusiast Whatever you're about to do, they've seen someone else do it better on YouTube. Tried a cool trick shot? "Meh, watched a streamer do that yesterday." It's like living in the shadow of a million YouTubers. These are personally my least favorite! The "Gamer Speak" Guru LOL, GG, WP, BRB, AFK, IDC, TTYL. Their language? Abbreviations. Need a translator just to decipher their "quick" messages. They're saving time but now everyone else has to spend the extra time to figure out what they're saying. The Indecisive Whether it's choosing teams or deciding in-game moral dilemmas, they're always on the fence. "To be or not to be evil, that is the question!" Meanwhile, the game clock's just ticking away. The Overly Aggressive "Point Bragger" but Also "Most-Deaths" You know this player. "Hey, I got the most points on our team!" Sure, but they also died twice as much as everyone else combined. For them, it's all about the offense. Defense? What's that? The "Save Me!" Sidekick "AKA Selfish Gamer, it's all about them" Every team has one. The second things go south, you'll hear their panicked cries echoing through your headset. "Help! I'm down! Someone save me!" Most of the time, they've wandered far from the group. Again. Or they tried to take on the entire team by themself. The ADHD Gamer "Squirrel!...The Gamer" Plan? Strategy? Pfft. This player gets distracted by every in-game butterfly, shiny object, or random side quest. Sure, the team is supposed to be storming the castle, but they've decided now's a great time to go fishing. The Pessimistic Gamer "Negative Nancy of Nexus" The sky's always gray for this one. The game's too slow. Or too fast. Or too easy. Or too hard. Or the graphics could be better. Or... you get the idea. They're like the Goldilocks of gaming, but nothing's ever just right. The "It's My First Day, Every Day" Gamer "Perpetual Newbie Nick" Despite playing regularly, they always seem to be clueless about updates, mechanics, and sometimes even the basic objectives. "Wait, when did they add dragons?!" Uhm, that was six months ago... The Impatient Gamer The "Tutorial? What Tutorial?" Player Instructions are for the weak, according to this gamer. Who needs to learn the controls when you can just dive in headfirst? The Potty Mouth Pro "Sir Swears-a-Lot" This gamer’s vocabulary is, shall we say, limited. And colorful. They can express joy, anger, surprise, and every emotion in between using just a handful of words, most of which aren't suitable for polite company. Someone, please hand them a thesaurus. The Speedrunner "Gotta go fast!" Why enjoy the scenery when you can RUSH through the game? This player's always in a hurry, blitzing through levels like they're being chased by an in-game ghost, or like they're rushing to go poop. The Completionist "Gotta Catch 'Em All" For this player, the game isn't done until it's 100% done. Every side quest, every collectible, every tiny, hidden secret – they won't rest until they've found them all. Did you know there was an ultra-rare pink daisy on level 3? They did. The Freeloader "Can I Have That?" No matter how many in-game resources they have, it's never enough. "Hey, can I have some gold? Or maybe that sword? What about those shoes?" They're like the gaming version of the little sibling who always wants to borrow your stuff. The Spectator Spends more time watching people play games (YouTube, Twitch, etc) compared to actually playing games. The Rage-Quitter "Controller Demolition Expert" First up on our list is our fiery friend, the rage-quitter. You'll know this gamer by the amount of broken controllers at their feet. First of all, kudos for the well-thought out and extensive bio of Wendy O Koopa! I always thought she was one of the most interesting and underrated Koopalings. I remember my first time facing her in Super Mario 3 and being taken aback by her ring attacks - those things were annoying, man! Your mention about her name being influenced by Wendy O. Williams and Olivia Newton-John was something I wasn't aware of before. That's a really cool piece of trivia! Makes me wonder about the other inspirations behind the characters in the Mario universe. Also, speaking of her personality, I agree that she's a complex character. While she's portrayed as a diva and a brat sometimes, I've always sensed a layer of vulnerability beneath all that bravado. Like she's trying to prove herself in the shadow of her bros. Lastly, it's fascinating how Nintendo has developed the lore behind these characters. Initially, they were Bowser's children, and now they're his niece and nephews? Makes me wonder if they'll change it up again in future games. Anyway, thanks for the great read. tornadocam: Dude, thanks for the reply! I’m actually 17, but I've been lucky enough to have an older sister who's mad into retro games. So, I've played my fair share from way before my time. Oh man, the Atari! It's so trippy to think those were the "awesome graphics" back in the day. Now they’re like... total ancient artifacts, right? But there's something super charming about them blobs of pixels. I totally feel you on the NES, though. I’ve tried a bunch of games on it, and there's this unique magic about them, like you’re literally traveling back in time. The PlayStation era. I remember playing some of those older baseball games you mentioned on my sister's PlayStation. The progression in graphics from the early PlayStation days till now is just... mind-blowing! About the modern games looking real – YES! Sometimes, I'll be playing, and my Mom would walk in, thinking I'm watching an actual match on TV, and then she realize it's just me gaming, haha! MLB 2001, 2002, and 2003 on PlayStation? Haven’t tried those out yet, but they’re going on my list, especially if you can create modern players. That’s pretty neat! Thanks for the recommendation. By the way, do you ever play the oldies just for nostalgia or to see how far we’ve come in gaming? I sometimes do that, and it’s kinda surreal, in a good way. Dude, thanks for the reply! Ah, sports video games. For many of us, they were our first dive into the world of gaming, and boy, have they come a long way! From pixelated characters running on rudimentary green fields to hyper-realistic graphics that make you question if you're playing a game or watching a live match, sports video games have transformed immensely over the years. The Humble Beginnings: 1970s It all kinda started in the 1970s with the release of Pong – a simple table tennis game. Pong was a massive success, arguably the game that truly kickstarted the video game industry. Who'd have thought that two white blocks and a dot bouncing between them would have such an impact, right? The Humble Beginnings Continued: 1980s The 1980s saw a bit more complexity entering the arena. Games like 'Tecmo Bowl' for football and 'RBI Baseball' for, well, baseball obviously, started to give sports fans something more to sink their teeth into. These games weren’t the most sophisticated – I mean, players looked like blobs and the fields were basic – but, they were a step forward. The 1990s: A Revolution in Sports Gaming Oh man, the 90s! This was the decade when sports video games really started to find their footing. We saw the launch of classics like 'Madden NFL', 'FIFA', and 'NBA Live'. Graphics were still a far cry from what we have today, but we were getting more detailed players, better animations, and some even had real player names! (Mind blown, right?). Also, can we just appreciate the arrival of 3D graphics? This brought a whole new dimension (literally) to the gaming experience. 2000s: The Rise of Realism The 2000s was when things got wild. Advancements in technology meant that video games started looking and feeling way more real. Franchises like 'Pro Evolution Soccer' and 'NHL' started to give the big players a run for their money. And then, the consoles! The PlayStation 2, Xbox, and later the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, pushed the boundaries of what was possible in sports gaming. Players began to resemble their real-life counterparts, stadiums were detailed, and the gameplay? So much smoother. 2010s and Beyond: A Whole New Ball Game The last decade has been nuts. I mean, some of these games look so damn real! With the power of PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Xbox One Xbox Series X and PC gaming, developers could create lifelike simulations of our favorite sports. NBA 2K series looks so damn good it's sometimes hard to tell it apart from an actual NBA broadcast. My Final Thoughts It be a wild ride seeing how the sports video games have gone from the basic Pong to the ultra realistic simulations that we have today. It makes you wonder what's next? Are we gonna be virtually stepping into the shoes of our favorite athletes with VR and AR? MY TOP FAVORITE SPORTS GAME OF ALL TIME NFL2K2 (Dreamcast, 2001) This was the football game that actually gave Madden a run for its money. The graphics were way ahead of its time and gameplay? Smooth as butter. NBA Jam (Sega Genesis, 1993) Man, what a game! Two-on-two basketball with over-the-top dunks and flaming balls (literally). You could hear the announcer shout, "He’s on fire!" and it was just pure arcade fun. No surprise it’s right up here. Madden NFL 2005 (2004) With the addition of the hit stick and a killer soundtrack, Madden 2005 was one of those games you could play for hours without noticing the time. FIFA 10 (2009) Remember the first time you pulled off a 360-degree skill move? This game brought a new level of fluidity to football (or soccer, for my American peeps). Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (2000) Legendary soundtrack, incredible tricks, and those epic combo chains – need I say more? NHL '94 (Sega Genesis, SNES, 1993) Some argue it’s the best hockey game ever made. Its simplistic controls yet deep gameplay made it a classic. Wii Sports (Wii, 2006) Bowling, tennis, boxing, golf, and baseball. All in your living room, with that nifty Wii remote. Many broken TVs, but worth it. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (2006) Before FIFA took over, there was PES. This edition was the pinnacle with realistic ball physics and gameplay. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (NES, 1987) Try to defeat Iron Mike. I dare ya. Classic boxing with fun and challenging opponents. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 (2003) This was golf at its finest. The introduction of the analog stick swing changed sports games forever. MLB: The Show 10 (PS3, PSP, 2010) Baseball has never felt more real. This was the game for hardcore baseball fans. Top Spin 4 (2011) The graphics, the sound, the gameplay. Tennis at its peak in the video game world. SSX Tricky (2001) Snowboarding with style, flair, and a banging soundtrack. UFC Undisputed 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, 2012) Mixed martial arts with a deep roster and great mechanics. NBA 2K11 (2010) Remember the introduction of the 'Jordan Challenge'? Nuff said. MVP Baseball 2005 (2005) Many believe this is still the best baseball game ever. Those pitching mechanics were top-notch. Tecmo Super Bowl (NES, 1991) The original football classic. So simple, yet so fun. RBI Baseball (NES, 1987) A nostalgic trip down the baseball lane. FIFA Street (2005) Football with style. It was all about the skills, baby. ESPN NBA Basketball (2003) That 24/7 mode was something else. A memorable basketball gem. Fight Night Round 3 (2006) Boxing with an incredible sense of impact. Those punches felt real. Madden NFL 2002 (2001) Franchise mode was deep and gameplay was tight. PES 2013 ( 2012) PES made a comeback with this one. The gameplay was balanced and offered some of the best virtual football moments. NHL 2001 (2000) The game that brought a fresh approach to the franchise with better graphics and smoother gameplay. Blitz: The League (2005) Football but not as you know it. Gritty, violent, and just plain fun. Games are in no real order, well maybe the first 3 ![]() The Humble Beginnings: 1970s It all kinda started in the 1970s with the release of Pong – a simple table tennis game. Games are in no real order, well maybe the first 3 ![]() |

Thanks for the push classgame. If I'm on track to win something, why not just go for it? This goes on twice a year? Seems it should be 4 times a year. Why not do this in the Fall and Spring? |

Dude, I've got to say, I'm genuinely loving these character bios you're posting! Your take on King Hippo especially was super insightful. It's always a treat to see the depth and trivia you pull up on these iconic characters. And mentioning his appearance in the 1980's cartoon? Classic! I totally forgot about that till you mentioned it. It's a trip thinking about how these characters were represented in different media. I feel the same way about King Hippo in the games. His arrogance and that cheeky sewer cover move always got a chuckle out of me. But yeah, made me wanna land that punch even more, haha! Theres just something about his whole vibe that's a perfect mix of annoying and funny, making him such a memorable character. I feel the same way about King Hippo in the games. Man, the 80s were something else, weren't they? It's hands-down my fav era for music! Between the infectious beats, killer guitar solos, and those power ballads - just, wow. It's the best music to work out to, most of my goto songs are from the 80s when I'm at the gym. Everytime I hear 80s music on the radio at the gym, I get this extra surge of energy. It's like the music just pushes you to do one more rep or run that extra mile. Kudos on your top 10 albums, by the way. That's a solid list. Thriller? Master of Puppets? You've got some real gems in there. Got me all nostalgic! Even if I wasnt alive in the 80s (or 90s) ![]() So, I thought I'd share my top 25 favorite 80s songs (not in any specific order, cause that's like choosing a favorite child, ya know?). Here goes: A-ha - "Take On Me" Michael Jackson - "Billie Jean" Whitney Houston - "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" Journey - "Don't Stop Believin'" Madonna - "Like a Virgin" Prince - "Purple Rain" Cyndi Lauper - "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" Bon Jovi - "Livin' on a Prayer" Lionel Richie - "All Night Long" Soft Cell - "Tainted Love" Rick Astley - "Never Gonna Give You Up" George Michael - "Faith" Queen - "Another One Bites the Dust" Phil Collins - "In the Air Tonight" Salt-N-Pepa - "Push It" Joan Jett & The Blackhearts - "I Love Rock 'N Roll" Duran Duran - "Hungry Like The Wolf" Culture Club - "Karma Chameleon" The Police - "Every Breath You Take" Billy Idol - "White Wedding" Diana Ross - "I'm Coming Out" Wham! - "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" The Bangles - "Walk Like an Egyptian" Dexys Midnight Runners - "Come On Eileen" Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine - "Conga" Honestly, I could go on and on, but these are the ones that first come to mind when I think 80s. First off, nice review, man! I remember playing Portal Still Alive, and your thoughts are pretty spot on. Especially about the graphics - for its time, it looked solid but, yeah, Portal 2 was a step up for sure. The whole water thing made me chuckle a bit, like who woulda thought water's clarity would be such a talking point in a game review? ![]() I thought the sound was pretty darn good, especially when you're manipulating the portals and hearing GLaDOS's chilling voice. Shenmue? Not sure how its relevant though but that's a blast from the past! Haven't played that one in ages. The game's addictiveness for me was kinda in-between? Like, I was hooked, but not like "I'm gonna play this non-stop" kinda way. And that story, oh man, so many weird and funny moments. The lemon part always cracks me up. Its like, where did that even come from? But man I have to hand it to you on the depth and difficulty. Portal games really mess with your head sometimes, trying to figure out those crazy puzzles. Made me feel like a genius and an idiot at the same time. ![]() I thought the sound was pretty darn good, especially when you're manipulating the portals and hearing GLaDOS's chilling voice. Shenmue? Ah man, you might be onto something there! It's been ages since I deep dived into Macho Man's history, but yeah, the 1980's was quite a time for him. I kinda remember him being a real thorn in everyone's side back then. It's cool hearing about how you and your cousins had your hands full with those characters. Totally feel you on Soda and Bald Bull, they were tricky ones for me too. But Bear Hugger giving your cousin problems? Man, that's hilarious! Everyone's got that one character that just gets under their skin right? And yeah, King Hippo... LOL, still can't help but chuckle every time I think about that guy. Thanks for another nostalgia trip, mate. Good times! It's cool hearing about how you and your cousins had your hands full with those characters. Oh wow, just stumbled on this thread and had to drop a quick one. Firstly, I ain't familiar with Tour de Vizzed (TdV for short, right?) but reading through Davideo's post, it kinda sounds hella fun! Though, just to clarify real quick - the posts I've made today ain't got nothin to do with this competition. I dint see this thread until a few mins ago. And man, the name - Tour de Vizzed - instantly made me think about the Tour de France! Big fan here, love watching it. The grit, the dedication, the scenic views... it's just something else. So I totally appreciate the connection. Might have to jump into this TdV shindig in the future (once I actually figure all the rules out, lol). Till then, I’ll be cheering you all on from the sidelines! Best of luck to everyone competing. And man, the name - Tour de Vizzed - instantly made me think about the Tour de France! 16Personalities.com Anyone ever taken the 16Personalities test? It tells you what kinda personality type you are based on Myers-Briggs stuff. Here's a bit more about what the site offers: Detailed Personal Profiles: Once ya finish the test, you get this super detailed report on your type. It covers strengths, weaknesses, relationships, career paths, and more. Strategy Categories: They got this thing where they split personalities into Roles and Strategies, like, are you a diplomat? Or a sentinel? Pretty nifty! Relationship Dynamics: If you’re curious about how you might gel (or not!) with other personalities, there's a whole section on that. Work Habits: Great for folks thinking about changing careers or just wanting to know where they might shine best in their current job. Ever done one of these tests before? What did ya get if you remember? If not, or like if its been ages, give it a go again? Pop over to 16Personalities, take the test (it's free and doesn't take long), and let's see what ya get! Lets chat about it and find out if any of us are like, personality twins or something!Or if we're opposites! It's kinda fun to see how different or alike we all are here. And who knows, might learn some random new stuff about yourself. It really helps you to understand yourself. Anyway, I was just messing around and thought why not? Took the test and bam! I am..... ESFP (Entertainer) It's kinda freaky how spot on it was. So, ESFPs (like moi) are supposedly the life of the party. We're super social, loving the spotlight, and making new friends. But there's more to us than just the fun stuff. We're observant, and we pick up on little details. We're also super practical and tend to prefer hands-on solutions. On the downside, we can be a bit sensitive and, okay, maybe a tad impulsive (I mean, who isn’t?! :LOL ![]() Anyone ever taken the 16Personalities test? Hey armadylsmage, first off, huge congrats on passing that 4th stage assessment centre! Working with Asylum seekers sounds like such an important role – mad respect for wanting to make a difference there. And about the roll play man, I've been there. It's hard to adjust on the spot sometimes, especially when you're a genuine person. But hey, passing is what counts, right? Sorry to hear about the drama with your current job. Managers can be... well, let's just say, challenging. Sounds like you're better off without that negativity, honestly. Sometimes, it's best to just move on, y'know? Loving the bond you're building with your doggo. They're such blessings, aren't they? Makes me wanna go out and take my dog for a walk too. And oh man, the struggle of balancing food with exercise. I get you, dude. I swear the cake just calls out to me every time. That's a bummer about your Hardcore Ironman Account though. Dying during a quest? Ugh! I've been there, shouting at my screen like a madman. But hey, new beginnings, right? And lol at "peak graphics." Classic OSRS. ![]() Keep us updated on your adventures – both in real life and in Runescape. Man, reading your post... I can't even imagine the emotions you mustve felt seeing that. It’s tough, real tough. And I totally get it, sometimes the weight of the world feels so dang heavy and you just kinda wanna... you know, find an exit. But like you said, sometimes fate, God, or the universe has other plans. I'm really glad that person survived and I hope they get the support care they desperately need. But also, I hope you, me, and everyone here finds the strength to keep pushing forward. Life’s a real beast sometimes, but there are moments of clarity, love, and even happiness in between the storms. It's wild how life works sometimes, right? We see something and suddenly we're faced with our own vulnerabilities and struggles. Just know you’re not alone in this. We all have our dark times, but we also have each other to lean on. Thank you for sharing and being so open about your feelings. It takes courage to do that. I’m sending positive vibes and hope your way. Remember, the stars shine the brightest in the darkest nights. drago: First off, I'm really sorry about your fiance's dog. That's rough, man. No matter how much time we get with them, it never really feels like enough. It's clear that dog was a trooper, trying to stay strong for you guys. Dogs have this crazy way of always trying to be there for us, even when they’re going through it themselves. SonicOlmstead : dude, I'm feeling for you too. The universe really threw you a curveball when you were a kid, huh? Getting that news about Sissy while dealing with your own health... that’s rough ![]() tornadocam : I'm tearing up reading about Blackie, Pirate, and Windy. They sound like some really special fur babies. The bond you have with them is so clear. That bit about Pirate and the eyepatch... it’s like he was meant to be with you. cafeman55 : that hit hard. Losing Marisol and Daisy sounds heart-wrenching, and hearing your dad cry for the first time? That's a tough one. Shows how deep the bond with our pets goes, doesn’t it? I think it's incredible that even in pain, we can come here and share these stories. Makes the world feel a bit smaller and kinder. Each of our pets was unique, and their memories live on in our stories and our hearts. Here's to hoping that time will heal the wounds, but keep the memories fresh. Hey pokemon x. Man, I really feel for ya. Reading through your post kinda hit close to home for me. Not cuz I go through it, but my sis does, big time. She's got this mad social anxiety. And she on the autism spectrum, too. Dunno if that's related to what your feeling, but thought I'd put it out there. She's told me how tough social stuff can be for her, and honestly, sounds a lot like what you're dealing with. I see you pushing yourself, even with small stuff, like giving thumbs up at work. That's huge, man! I mean, it might not seem like it to some people, but when every fiber of you wants to run and hide, even a small thing is big progress. From what I've seen with my sis, starting small has been key. Like she's joined these group therapy things and some online chats where she can sorta "practice" talking without the whole pressure of in-person stuff. She's still struggling, but it's like baby steps, ya know? Also, dunno if you've tried this, but maybe seeing someone professional could help? Like, a therapist or someone who knows about this stuff. They might have tips and tricks to make things a bit easier for ya.Anyway, just wanted you to know we got your back here. And thanks for opening up. That in itself is huge. Stay strong buddy. Man, you got me laughing with those stories! Especially the Inuyasha theme song part! ![]() I remember playing FIFA with my buddies back in the day, and this one time we decided to mess with the game settings for the heck of it. We crankedup the speed to the max and toned down gravity. You can probably guess where this is going... The result was something like Quidditch mixed with soccer. Players floating around, trying to head the ball which floated mid-air like a helium balloon. Our sides hurt from laughing so much! Then there was the time when I was playing NBA 2K with a friend. We were in the last quarter, 1 second left, scores tied. I tried to shoot from my half of the court, praying for a miracle, and BOOM! It went in! The funny thing? It was my player's worst shooting stat, and he had defenders all over him. Talk about beginner's luck! Lastly, not quite the same thing, but it cracks me up every time I think about it. I was playing Wii Sports bowling with family. My grandma, who'd never tried video games before, wanted to give it a shot. She wound up the remote, released the "ball"... and instead of swinging her arm forward, she somehow managed to toss it backward, sending her Mii character spinning with the ball. We all had a good chuckle. Your story about drafting a kicker as a QB and him becoming your superstar had me in stitches! That's one for the Madden history books. ![]() ![]() I remember playing FIFA with my buddies back in the day, and this one time we decided to mess with the game settings for the heck of it. Woah, you're on a roll with these bios! I just read your Super Macho Man piece and was impressed. Didn't realize you'd done one on King Hippo too. I always found King Hippo to be one of the most memorable characters from Punch Out. Probably cause of how distinct he was with his large frame and the whole belly-button thing. A few quick thoughts on your breakdown: I had no idea about the connection with the country of Nauru. That's a super interesting tidbit! If that was truly an inspiration for King Hippo's design, it gives a lot more depth to his character background. His strategy always kinda tripped me up. The focus on his belly made for such an interesting fight dynamic, especially when you're used to trying to land those face shots. I laughed out loud when you mentioned the sewer cover he taped to his belly. Man, that was such a classic Punch Out moment. Like, really dude? That's your strategy now? ![]() His personality, with the whole "living the high life" thing and the laughing at Mac always cracked me up. I mean, he's essentially the big, arrogant guy who thinks he's invincible... until you nail that sweet spot on his belly. On a side note: I remember when he'd laugh at Little Mac, and it made me wanna beat him even more! It's funny how video game characters can evoke such emotions, right? You've done a fab job breaking down these characters, and now I'm eagerly waiting to see who you profile next.Keep these coming, dude! Loving the trip down memory lane. Awesome write-up, dude! You sure did your homework on Super Macho Man. Couple of things I wanna point out (and mind you, this is just from my personal observations playing the game and being a bit of a wrestling nerd): The whole show-off persona definitely fits Super Macho Man, but it's kinda funny how it's so pronounced. Like, we get it dude, you're macho and rich. Chillax a bit. ![]() His spinning uppercut, man... that thing had me rage-quitting so many times! When you get the hang of dodging it andd finding the right time to land a punch, it's so satisfying. I always felt kinda bad for him because of how the crowd treated him. I mean, yeah, he's super cocky and all, but the guy's skilled in the ring! Deserves some respect, even if he’s always rubbing his success in our faces. Your observation about his relationship with Mr. Sandman is spot on. It's like, in his mind, only someone as great as him (or even better) could defeat him. That dynamic always intrigued me. And, oh man, Soda Popinski and Bald Bull. Those guys gave me nightmares! Your post totally took me down memory lane. Loved how you compared the game character to the actual Macho Man's personality from the wrestling world. Honestly, Punch Out was such an iconic game and characters like Super Macho Man made it so memorable. Cheers for the dope character bio! Can't wait to see which character you'll dive into next. Maybe King Hippo? That guy always cracked me up with his shorts falling down. Keep it up, dude! Ugh, I feel ya, mate. Acne can be such a pain. It's one of those things that you'd think would vanish once you're past your teen years, but nope! Life has other plans. So my sister, she's an adult and she's been battling with acne for the longest time. I mean, seriously, she used to get them in the weirdest places – behind her ears, on her neck, and yeah, even the back. Like, why? But good news is, it's been getting a lot better for her in the past year. Here a couple of things she's been trying and found helpful: 1. Consistency. I know you mentioned having the cleansing stuff, but maybe try to stick to a routine, even if it's just once a day? 2. Changing pillowcases often. Sounds weird, I know. But apparently, dirt and oil from your face gets on the pillow and can cause breakouts. She switches hers every 2 days. 3. She's been trying out some tea tree oil for spot treatment and swears by it. Just dabs a little on the zit and it reduces inflammation and stuff. 4. Drinking tons of water and cutting down on dairy and sugary stuff. Not sure how true this is for everyone, but she says it helped her a ton. 5. Shower every day. And maybe any time after you've sweat. Or at very least wash your face every 8 hours, or at very least, when you wake up and before you go to bed. 6. When you do breakout, put ice or something cold on it to reduce inflammation. Works like a charm. And hey, about the shower thing, ain't nothing wrong with multitasking! Just make sure the products you're using ain't too harsh or drying for daily use. Hope some of this helps. Firstly, epic review man! I've got some nostalgia punches just reading through. I totally remember playing Bust-A-Move back in the day and dude, the memories. ![]() Alright, about the story part – I kinda remember some talk around the whole "why the stars got stolen" thing, but dang, my memory's super foggy. Maybe it was just one of those quirky plot holes that never really got filled, or maybe I just never paid enough attention, lol. The '90s gaming, right? Graphics and sound, totally with you there. Those bubbly chibi characters and the whole color burst in the game was just so dope! And yeah, I think I remember that porcupine-looking thing you mentioned. Dunno if it was from another Taito game or something but I remember scratching my head about it back then. On the music, 100% with you! The carnival tune and all those fun bops are still stuck in my head, no joke. Now that third stage in Arcade mode? Dude, I feel your pain! That level was a total nightmare for me too. Spent a stupid amount of time (and imaginary quarters, haha) on it. But after that hurdle, it was smooth-ish sailing. Overall, I think your review's pretty spot on. Woulda given it around the same rating, maybe a tad higher just 'cause of nostalgia bias, lol. Great job on the detailed breakdown, and seriously, thanks for the trip down memory lane. P.S. Someone pls help both of us with that porcupine mystery. It's gonna bug me now. ![]() Alright, about the story part – I kinda remember some talk around the whole "why the stars got stolen" thing, but dang, my memory's super foggy.
