I've been trying to lose weight forever and even though I feel like I've achieved nothing over this year I have still lost around 18 pounds since starting to work out last spring. I didn't realize this until yesterday since I've been trying to avoid going on the scale so now I'm pretty excited! I've basically tried to eat more healthier and for 6 months I went to this women's exercising circle, which was lots of fun but since I don't own a car and the person I got a ride from isn't going there frequently anymore I decided to quit after this year. Instead I went to my local gym last Sunday and my arms are still hurting so bad that I can barely even type this message. Fortunately it'll be legs day next time I go so my arms have time to rest :-) My biggest motivation currently is probably My Fitness Pal, which is a site where you can save your daily progress such as what you've eaten and for how many hours you've exercised. It's also nice to see your friends' progress.

Is there anybody else trying to live more healthily? It would be nice to make this thread more active again.

I just finishes playing VA-11 Hall-A - Cyberpunk Bartender Action. It was such a great, unique game. I'm really looking forward to the company's other games.

I nearly forgot about Black Friday this year but it was almost impossible not to notice the ads everywhere. We did some shopping with my fiance but only some necessities that we would've bought anyways. It was CRAZY in some stores. I wanted to visit a store called Tiger but it was so full that you couldn't even squeeze inside so I just thought "nope" and left. I hate going in crowded places... Anyways, Black Friday has become a pretty big thing in Finland as well in recent years.

Eniitan : Really?! Oh man I love Stardew Valley. I'm just trying to get all the achievements now. Having 20 friends wasn't the most difficult thing to do... I'm so bad at fishing!

Still playing Stardew Valley and I'm now going to start playing Evoland 2. I loved the first game so I'm pretty excited.

I revisited Stardew Valley today and I must say that I love the game so much. It took me some time to get familiar with everything again but it was well worth it. I'm aiming for all achievements but I think it's probably impossible. Having 20 friends is just too hard!

I've been watching a series called The Killing. It has a very Scandinavian feel to it so I like it.

Right now I'm feeling excited for the day because instead of sleeping late I got up early, which means I have time to do anything I like. I have a day off from everything going on so I've just been drinking coffee the entire morning and soon I'll have breakfast. Maybe I'll visit my grandma.

I started learning to drive when I was 18 and I think I was 19 when I got my official driver's license. Unfortunately it's been three years the last time I drove a car so I should definitely practice a bit. But I decided I'll do all the practicing I need if we ever buy a car of our own. But so far it hasn't been necessary since we get by with public transportation. What has prevented me from driving is the fact that I could only practice with my dad and that was too stressful for me. Once he started shouting "YOU'RE ALMOST DRIVING IN THE BUSHES!!!" while I was definitely not, which nearly made me have a heart attack and drive out from the road. So the next time I drive it'll be with my own car and in my own pace.

Thank you all for the comments, they have given me much to think about. Our family has actually a total of three inheritance messes which have gotten a bit ugly *sigh*

I can only say this much about the current issue: My mother and father owned an apartment and when my mom passed away, me and my brother decided not to claim the inheritance right away, so that our dad could keep on living in the same flat. Now the situation is different, because my dad is remarrying and this is where it gets complicated. It's too complicated to explain but what's going on is that me and my brother are going to have to give up our mother's inheritance, so that when my dad passes away his fiance twenty years younger shouldn't have to start paying inheritance money to me and my brother in her elderly days. My father has to talk to his lawyer about this but if it's legal, we are going to have a big mess at our hands because I know my brother is going to put up the biggest fight out of the two of us. It kind of hurts that dad wants us to give up the inheritance just because it's inconvenient for the two of them, and he himself doesn't want a big mess at his hands. I know for sure that I wouldn't have the balls to ask for the same from my kids one day.

To put simply, would you take a large sum of money knowing that it would destroy your relationship with your family or parts of your family? I'm talking about a sum that could significantly help your finance situation, like paying off your entire student loan. It would also be a good start for paying off your mortgage. Have you had an experience where you had to make the decision?

I know I'm being a bit vague but I simply just can't give any details. All I can give is a keyword, which is inheritance.

I will definitely give up the money because losing my family would hurt me way more. It hurts, though, that I must give up the inheritance, because in my current situation the money would be of great help in the future (Wedding, mortgage, etc.) The inheritance also symbolizes what a very dear person has left behind, which saddens me. I just really hope that by making the right choice I can still keep my family close to me.

I started watching Supernatural back in 2005 or 2006. I was 12 to 13-years-old then so I remember being a bit scared of some of the episodes. I can't remember which season was the last I watched but I think it was 7 or 8, so it has been years since I watched the series. I really loved the old Supernatural but I got slightly bored at some point. I think my favorite season is the fourth one.

I just watched the first episode of Expanse. It seems like a cool series and I want to know more, so I'll definitely continue watching it.

I'd say that in principle I'm very generous. I get only a little money every month and for the past two months I've gotten 0€ so there's not much I can lend to others. But if it's about materials I already own, like clothes, games, food, furniture, I'm always willing to share. For instance I have a friend who's about the size I was a couple years ago, so I've given tons of my old clothes to her. My fiance is a monthly donor to various different organizations so I wish to do that in the future as well, as long as I have some money flowing my way. I'd definitely donate blood as well, that's the least everyone can do, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to do that for various reasons. In the future if I'm able to I will also start donating blood.

Now-a-days I rarely spend money on impulse because I try to save up as much as possible, so I only spend money on what's absolutely necessary. A few years ago I was more care free and went absolutely crazy with sales, like Steam sales. I could spend 100€ easily on games I'd later on regret buying. Thankfully there's the refund option on Steam now. Same goes for cd's and clothes, I can go crazy with buying if I find a new shop that sells them. I belong to a Facebook group where people may sell their games and consoles and I am so tempted to buy something everyday... So far I've only given in on one deal, I got four PS3 games for 20€ so I think it was a pretty good purchase, but a week later I discovered that my PS3 is breaking down so I haven't even played any of the games yet. *sigh*

Yes it does happen quite often, even though people around here like to keep to themselves for the most part. Especially the elderly might strike up conversation at a bus stop, first talking about the weather and then going on to what they are up to that day. That rarely happens with people my age and I think it's quite sad. I do like having random chats with people, they usually brighten up my day. Then there are occasions when the random person is drunk, I try to avoid those conversations (except if they are in trouble and need help).

I've never watched Soul Eater but coincidentally I just added to my watchlist a while ago. The storyline sounds quite original, at least it's not similar to any I've watched in the past. Also the characters look all quirky and fun! A huge plus is also the length of the series; it's not too short but not too long either. The series has gotten good ratings on MAL at least, so I'm looking forward to watching it in the near future (thanks for bringing the name up and reminding me of it by the way!) I'll give it a score of 8/10.

Next up is Hajime no Ippo.

I watched 21 and Over yesterday. I'm really not sure whether I liked it or not. I did laugh at some parts but many scenes were just way over the top for me. I would recommend it to anyone who likes insane, lacking sense-kind of movies.

I have terrible stage fright but somehow I've survived to this day without thoroughly embarrassing myself. Once in high school I did throw all my notes on the floor and told the teacher in front of everyone that I'd rather die than do this presentation, which was a bit dramatic I admit... And once back in high school I almost started crying because I failed the introduction to my presentation twice... But nothing too serious, haha.

I still have two more presentations ahead of me in university which I'm terrified of already. One is related to how my thesis is going and the last one is me representing my finished thesis. The last one is going to include questions from the audience so wish me luck that I won't pass out in front of everyone.

I'm currently working on my thesis so most days I spend at home. I try to wake up early but I had a long period of insomnia, so I may sleep really late on some days (2PM is my record). I just really enjoy my sleep once I actually do get some sleep, even though I hate going to bed.

My morning starts with me putting the coffee maker on and taking meds. When I have my first cup I either watch some anime or play a game.

Once I've been up for an hour or two, I eat breakfast and start to think of what to do for the rest of the day. I work a little on my thesis and then I call a friend who has a day off or I visit my grandma.

At 4PM my fiance gets home from work so we either cook or go grocery shopping. The rest of the evening goes as usual, we either get involved with our own hobbies or do something together.

Before I go to bed which is at around 1AM, I try to do calming activities, such as chatting online, writing on forums or reading manga.
