What an unexpectedly pleasant surprise!
I recall last year or the year before, I entered the Christmas competition and didn't do so well.
This year, I noticed some new tracks were added, particularly for some newer systems.
Congrats to all participants and thank you for allowing us the opportunity to compete in these events.

Happy New Year!

It's that time of the year again! But instead of listening to Christmas music in every store, I'd rather listen to wintry video game music!
Instead of doing my Christmas shopping, I've perused the music room for my VGM winter picks. Please find them below:

(Content hidden until thread is closed!)

Let me know if there is any issue with my submissions. The added challenge this month was jumping across multiple systems to find suitable tracks. Best of luck to all the contestants in this month's contest and beyond. Well, time to get some more egg nog.

Oh man, the Game Boy!
I still refer to the Nintendo DS/3DS as today's "game boy" and my little cousins have no idea what I'm talking about. I randomly stumbled upon a video clip of a toddler trying to play a game boy, but she kept trying to use the thing as a touch screen device!

Most Game Boy games have not aged well, but it was a very nifty device for its time and I still get nostalgic over it. That's why I'm compelled to submit my entries for this month's competition! Please find them below:

(Content hidden until thread is closed!)

Let me know if there are any issues with my entries or their formatting as posted. I noticed that most of the tracks seem to be expanded to last 3 minutes. Anyway, best of luck to all entries and contributors.
Have a great day!

Game Boy Advance! I've spent many hours during commutes playing this! A handheld that's near and dear to my heart; I must at least submit some entries for this month!

For me, this would have to be The Lion King on SNES: Can't wait to be King!
This is a puzzle stage in a mostly platformer game, and it was not intuitive exactly what environmental hazards you have to interact with to move forward, and exactly which ones kill you! Keep in mind, this is the 2nd level of the game! At least Battletoads: Battlemaniacs' giant brick wall level is the 3rd one for most people... and I was able to beat that game! (video is on this site's page for that game ).
But alas, I never got past this stage as a kid and haven't tried since. Plus, I feel like a franchise like the Lion King is inherently meant for children, but man, that difficulty is anything but child-like!

Also, runner up- Super Ghouls and Ghosts: entire game.

Been a while since I've participated in one of these, but I can't sit out when the N64's involved!
Please find my submissions below:

(Content hidden until thread is closed!)

Even though the N64 didn't seem to have as many games as most systems before and after, it still felt really difficult to trim this music list down to just 10 tracks. Let me know if there are any issues regarding my submissions. I look forward to tuning into the stream.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

Great idea. Already better than standard radio as you won't hear the same songs every hour or two!
Followed your channel:

m0ssb3rg935 : No worries. Thank you so much for resolving the matter in the music room! I'll let you know if I come across anything out of place in the future.

Good afternoon!

Managed to submit my entries early this month, in contrast to the progress of my Christmas shopping!
Please find my submissions below:

(Content hidden until thread is closed!)

If there's any issue with my entries, please let me know.
While searching through the music room, I noticed a few things:

EDIT: Below matters resolved
-Mega Man X4's music files could not be played; stated the track's source could not be found for all of them
-There's no music for SNES Fire Emblem: seisen no keifu (in English: Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War)

Hopefully those are rectified in the near future. In the meantime, I look forward to tuning in to the stream and hearing some other wintry tracks. Somehow, I found it harder to find submissions for this than this year's Halloween scary music theme.

Happy Decemberween!

Good morning,

What a month! Glad I was able to participate in the competition. As someone who is personally unfamiliar with the Sega CD, it'll be interesting to see what music and games are showcased here. Please find my submissions below:

What an unexpectedly pleasant surprise! I was not able to make it to the Stream and I'm delighted to see some of the other entries here.
So glad I chose to stick with Ruined World from Chrono Trigger in the end (always go with your first answer!). I see there were plenty of us who felt the same way in FF VII when Trail of Blood first plays.

Congrats to the other winners and Happy Hunting!

Good morning,

Glad to see this theme. It's very befitting for the month. Also, it's a little more abstract and requires some further thought/interpretation
Please find my submissions below:

(Content hidden until thread is closed!)

I was mostly looking for music that evoked attributes such as: fear, isolation, dread, despair, futility, darkness, uncertainty.
Hopefully I hit the mark this month. In any case, good luck to your entries and I look forward to dropping in to the stream.

Have a good one!

Good morning,

I submitted a video + screenshot for this contest. The time indicated in my screenshot is longer than the actual video (full playthrough) I submitted. I did hit reset once during my play so I'm guessing the Time Trial part of the plugin factored that into the entire playthrough? In any case, I'm guessing I have to restart this time trial (with new video) fresh in order to submit a time correctly reflected in its corresponding video?

Thank you, and have a good one!

*Edit: Nevermind, recorded a new run. Update pending.

Howdy, just finished rating 101 songs over the course of the day. It was a pleasure to relive some of these gaming memories. Was pleasantly surprised to see Soul Calibur IV music here. I'll continue to check and rate more music intermittently as I visit the board.

So many classics for this great system. I grew up with Nintendo, my friend Sega, and we played games across these consoles for hours. In any case, my submissions are below. Let me know if I need to change anything:
