I might consider playing this if it was translated . I have always been a fan of RPG's and have heard this one is quite good. Too bad. Maybe some day I will get a drive to learn Japanese to play all the games I have missed out on over the years.

This is actually one of the first NES games I ever played! As a child, it was actually kind of a frustrating game. I can imagine my 5-year old self getting so mad at missing the jump over a rock and losing my skateboard. I actually never beat the game, it simply never received much of my time. As an adult now, maybe I should consider giving it a real chance. You rated it well enough that it seems to deserve it. I'll have to look it up here as I no longer have access to my old systems. I have also heard that the sequels to the game are well done. You should check them out as well.

After seeing Angry Video Game Nerds review I always wanted to try this but never did. Now that you have brought the game up and reminded me I may have to try it. It really does sound infuriating. I will have to watch his review again. Thanks for the reminder.

I think you should add a lot more. I learned more about the game and what to expect from the small description given from the game then from the review.

As someone who enjoyed the Street Fighter series I'll make sure to stay away from this one. Nothing is more infuriating than a fighting game that does not recognize commands that are put in. There are a few games that have made me rage and quit in the past. That being said, I would recommend staying away from the comments like "it reeks of aids" as you are likely to offend someone.

Anyways, thanks for the review, please do Dawn of Souls. I am a final fantasy fan and would love to read the review. I take it by your comment that it is one of your favorite games?

This is one of those games that I wanted to play but never got around to. Now I no longer have access to it. Such is life...I guess it will go on without player Thousand Year Door. None the less, it is good to at least be able to read about it. The main thing I would recommend was already mentioned, in your current post format the paragraphs look like huge walls of text, and it makes them a little difficult to read. If you change your format it would make it a little easier. An alternative would be to simply add more paragraphs. Anyways, thanks for the review.

I would not mind seeing a little more detail about what makes the hack different. What you specifically liked about it, as it shows that you did enjoy the game quite a bit. Anyways, I really need to spend some time playing some of the Pokémon hacks, they seem pretty interesting. I am not sure where to start to be honest, maybe I will start here.

MoblinGardens : That sounds so...negative. I think we should simply be grateful for anyone reviewing anything. They don't have to reach your standards to be "good". Not everyone has the gift of writing as Pixel and many others clearly have. I have seen short reviews that I thought were generally good when you consider what was written. Could they have been longer? Yes, but were they satisfactory for how long they were? Yes. In my opinion you should encourage others who may be learning to write, give positive suggestions. Not simply tell them their writing is crap. Take my post for what you will.

I can see what would happen if I did that. I play on a private screen, alt tab when my wife walks in. She sees the tab, asks me what I am doing. I show her, ridicule ensues. Ha ha, thanks I will probably pass.

What makes this game a little bit of a downer for you? I know for me I grew up playing it so I am a little nostalgic blind, but I digress.

Like you, I had heard of this game, yet I had never played it. I even knew a decent amount about it and my brother ALWAYS plays and earthbound characters on Super Smash Brothers, Melee, and Brawl. Even with all that I have yet to play this game. I LOVE RPGs. It can just be hard to find a good one. Maybe this is one I should look into playing. Would I like this if my preference on RPG's are the final fantasies?

Anyways, the review was well done. Especially for it being your first review. I thought you covered the game quite well. Thanks for posting.

Hey, I do not mind a rant review every once in a while. Some games simply need to be taken down, it is for the good of us all. This sounds like one of those games. I thought you did a good job. I will make sure to avoid this game. Having said that, I would maybe separate some of the paragraphs into two paragraphs to make it as easy as you can to read. Maybe previewing to see how much the paragraphs look like a while of text?

I thought your descriptions were good, the review was good, keep it up. Please do some more.

I agree the first post was hard to read. The second post was better, but I would still consider instead of making the sentences really far spaced apart just putting them into paragraphs and separating them appropriately.

Anyways, about the review, I personally liked the punching in this game, and the fact that you could NOT see straight after getting hit in the face. It made it fun. My brothers and I spent hours playing this game and it was always fun if you needed a change of pace to go around punching them. This game is HARD. Try completing all of the multi player missions, the computers are so good it is simply ridiculous. They always wiped the floor with me when I played against the expert level computers. Anyways, it was good review, I just think you need to change the format still. Paragraphs are the way to go. Thanks for the review, don't give up!

Wow haha, I really do not even know what to think about this game. What an incredible, ridiculous, amazing idea for a game. The whole idea is just too funny. As a huge final fantasy fan I would be tempted to play it but lets be honest, I would be so embarrassed if anyone caught me playing this game. I will probably just stick to final fantasy 6 and call it good. Thanks for the laugh, I definitely needed to wake up. Do you know any other hacks that I should look into? I always need a good laugh. Hmm, I had never heard of this one. I absolutely love the Jak and Daxter series, and I know you said it is nowhere the brilliance of that series but I may have to check this one out. The story seems interesting enough, and if it was able to captivate you it might be worth the purchase. I bet I could get it for cheap on Amazon. The only thing that would probably detract me from doing so would be the easiness, I really do not want to spend money on a game that is that easy. Is it worth the purchase? Knowing what you know now, would you buy it again, if you had to go through the whole process over?

What I like most about your reviews is the pro and con list. If it is all right with you I think if I do anymore reviews I might add a pro and con list to mine reviews. It makes it interesting, you can say quickly what you liked and what you disliked. If someone does not want to read the whole review they can skip to the pro and con list. I think it is an excellent addition.

I personally agree with his rating, I probably would rate it similar. I do think that Pong does deserve a certain amount of respect in that it was one of the first video games, but to be honest, I really do not think it was that great of a game. I personally think that there are so many other games that I would play before Pong if I was bored and had nothing to do. To me, it simply would not be entertaining to play. It was fun to read a review on such a classic game. Few reviews are done on oldies like this. Thanks for your time put into it and the review itself!

Hi Endings! The review wasn't bad itself for how short it was but the format made it a little difficult. The spacing is kind of weird and there is no real separation. Might I suggest adding a format? A good place to start is looking at other reviews. See how they separate things out and go into detail about each aspect of the game? The best reviews use this type of format. I suggest doing something similar! Anyways, thank you for submitting your review. My favorite reviews are the games that nobody has heard of. Positive or negative, it does not really matter. Please submit more, but consider the format.

Very well done, especially considering how new you are. You should do some more reviews. The intro was unique, almost sarcastic, and I think that separated it apart from other reviews.
