I agree that breeding two shinys should increase the chance of being shiny by a lot, but one shiny shouldn't, or it's be too easy to get shinys.

This guy thinks that Anime=Games. Wrong. Ash has never been in the mainstream games and in no way are the games connected to the anime besides the theme.
And the exact number is 495 pokemon, though that will change soon with new games coming out.
Pokemon that look retarded? While I agree that pokemon like Probopass and Lickilicky look like crap, plenty of new pokemon are better than the old ones. The old pokemon were all recolors of real animals except for a few, while the new ones are MUCH better then Ekans (SNAKE people, SNAKE.), Ratata (It's a purple rat. Big deal.), and a bull with many tails is original? What about the pokemon that are three pre-evos glued together (Magtrio, Dugtrio)?

And Ash keeps Pikachu that way because he LIKES it that way, and Pikachu does too, pokemon in the anime is not like in the games where pokemon get more powerful when they evolve.

There are quite a few ways to get one.

Encounter them with the 1/8192 chance.
Breed a forgein pokemon to increase the chance of getting one from the egg by 75%.
Hack.
Get one from an event. E.G. Pikachu Colored Pichu
Soft-reset at a pokemon. E.G. Legendary, Snorlax, Sudowoodo.
Catch the Red Gyrados is HG/SS or G/S/C.

Those are the ways I can remember at the moment.

They are discolored Pokemon. Some are radically different then others (E.G. Shiny Charzard), some aren't (E.G. Shiny Bidoof).

They came to be in Gen II, where they had the same chance as always to get one. (But breeding a shiny would have an insane chance of getting one, something like 1/8, I recall. But I might be wrong on this, so don't take this to be true. And if it is, it's only in G/S/C.)

Anyways, this game I rate 9/10. The levels are good, but a lot of them use rotating platform, which can be a problem, but it isn't BAD, it's just a few levels could have been replaced with something more original.
The multiplayer is chaotic, harder than single player.

A great game to buy. Better then Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and tied with 3 if you aren't wearing your nostalgia goggles, but Super Mario World is better.

CD-i wasn't bad, just it's games.

Anyways, Atari 2600. That piece of junk slowed down video games for a couple of years, if it didn't crash the market, we'd have better systems nowadays.
