So i had an idea of making a hack where the player is a policeman(or woman) in kanto... you start with a growlith and travel kanto and some of johto fighting crime... i would like it to   be sidequest heavy. So i am asking you guys to submit ideas of some quests the policeman can help citizens with. Write as detailed as you like. Give good reward suggestions or hoever much info you can think up. Ill see where the sidequests fit or how i can turn   em into a main story (i dont wanna do the E4 and gym thing again)

Any ideas will be very apreciated.

Davideo7 : i got it when   i was a kid . Used it to print pokemon pictures, zelda dx stuff and some gameboy camera pix. When i got a lil older i foiured id never see any paper so i bought all i could find... which i think was like 6 rolls plus what came with it. It hasent prited a whole roll probably.

Davideo7 : I have started on SMW... I dont know when the other competition started but if its after april I probably will be done... 

and no I dont think it should be postponed another month... because the payout date of April 21st is my birthday.

RocketLeader : working with unlz is not always an exact science. Changing images in the rom or hacking parts of the game sometimes rearranges the unlz numbers... you will have to search through the lust of found images by clicking the next and previous buttons until you find one that says "gamefreak" and "press start" if your lucky it will be close to the original location. 

On a clean rom its 2013... on a hacked rom it could move a bit...

Also if youve run a deep scan on your rom its likely far far down the line. Deep scans find many more images than the regular scan. Although most of them are garbage.

Advice... click the next button till you find it lol. It shouldnt take more than a half an hour (its how i found it originally)

The way i understand it is, it must be on the title screen. It does not have to be where the "gamefreak" logo is. You can put it anywhere as long as its on the title screen.

Umm... sevii islands are still in the game fully... they contain most of the gen 2 pokemon... 

I could not use the sevii island boat script because its still there in exactly the same spot... all 7 islands are there
You can even dobthe ruby sapphire sidequest

Time is slipping but you can enter... there is enough time to do something simple. Or u could work all day every day and make something awesome

patar4097 : Advance map has a way to export the tile sets... once exported you can edit them and import them back into the rom.

I think its the puzzle piece button at the top of AMap. its quite a complicated process but it can be done, ive made quite a few custom tiles (entire tilesets are very hard, but 1 tile is not so bad)

Honestly... i never read your guide but you are welcome to link my thread, if for no other reason, its got indexed images of the correct size and pallete

but maybe they did not know where to put the vizzed.com
while you may have told them how to change the gamefreaks logo, maybe they wanted to put their own name there (like I did) and the vizzed somewhere else... maybe...

or they could be using a full 256 color background like this:

in which case the gamefreak logo is covered (aswell as the press start)

or they used the gamefreak logo as the full screen background (like the majority of custom backgrounds do)... there are TONS of ways to edit the title screen... and i really dont know why they are not following the simple rule... asking a question is always the best way to get the desired result (its easy to add vizzed.com to ANY of the above styles of title screen) and im sure myself, earthwarrior, or any other psudo experienced poke hacker would be happy to help...?

personally i would be very upset with myself if my hack got disqualified for not following the simple rules.
