Today I completed Professor Layton and the Last Specter and Far Cry 3

I think the Last Specter was the weakest of the series. It's story wasn't as emotionally as strong as the Diabolical Box or the Unwound Future, and the puzzles were overall not as challenging as its predecessors.

Then I get to Far Cry 3. It is so much better than 2. Better in every way. I also find it better than the first one. One thing that would have helped the first one is stealth by the sword. Far Cry 3 introduced real stealth elements which is something the two Far Cry games before I think needed it. Weirdly, the first few hours of Far Cry 3 was both more fun and more difficult in hunting animals (tiger, bear) than raiding camps. Once the snipers and heavy guys were thrown in, then it became more fun and a challenge. One of my favorite things to do shoot open a cage of a captured animal that the guys from the camp raided. I'd stand back from a distance and watch a leopard take down the entire camp at times. So cool to watch. While the first Far Cry was great, Far Cry 3 is the easily my favorite so far.

Yesterday I play Assassin's Creed Altair's Chronicles.
Today I play Mega Man Zero on the game boy advance. And man, that game is so hard. I got physically fatigued toward the end, facing all those boss battles at once. Then I find out there are three more sequels in the zero series. I do not anticipate them to be as good as the main series (1-10) or the X series, but I am still willing to give them ago. I need to time to recover. I do love quick saves. I do look like the Protoman's blade. Mega Man Zero 2 is next.

My top 10 franchises:

1. Mario (everything from sports, rpgs, kart, platformers, etc.)
2. Zelda
3. Pokemon
4. Super Smash Bros
5. Metroid
6. Star Wars
7. Guitar Hero
8. Halo
9. Call of Duty
10. Mega Man

I think after getting through Final Fantasy 3 (DS version), 7, and 8 which I all own on top of the others I already played, Final Fantasy will make its way in the top 10 eventually. Other honorable mentions are Sonic (guy gets way too much hate) and Donkey Kong, and Kirby.

Other favorite franchises spawned from the last decade are Rock Band, Batman Arkham, and Assassin's Creed. I'd like to try Gears of War but nobody I know has that franchise.

I completed Assassin's Creed Altair's Chronicles on the Nintendo DS.
It's the worst AC game I've played, as expected. (AC2 = Brotherhood >>> AC1 = Revelations >>> Altair's Chronicles)
I looked on howlongtobeat.com and the average took between 4 3/4 hours and 5 hours. I do not know where they came up with that, (albeit very few submitted their time on that game), but it took me a good 8 1/2 hours to beat. Though on Spring Break in between semesters right now I played through all 8 1/2 of those hours in a 24 hour cycle, since everything including the gymnasium is closed for the week.

It's either back to final fantasy 3 on the DS, or start up a new game, most likely either the game boy advance or the Nintendo DS. Not sure what game yet, but can't be some 40+ hour adventure even though that kind of is what I want but I don't want to let myself get caught between that and school work for next or two.

I'm moving slowly but surely in Final Fantasy III (DS). Just got my way to the gnome area where I had to some level grinding and figured out how the class system works. I get that now.

I got through Castlevania Circle of the Moon and Castlevania Aria of Sorrow on the Game Boy Advance. Now I am going to move to the third one available on the game boy advance, harmony of dissonance. I have also completed CS 1 and CS 3 on the nes (thank you vizzed for quicksaves!), and Super CS 4 on the super nes. This would make for my 6th CS game in the franchise.

Done with all my course work for CIT. I had four CIT courses this semester and can now enjoy spring break

I complete all course work for my Project Management class. An 'A' for that class is locked in as is my System Analysis & Design class. Operating Systems II is an A-. Still awaiting the final results of my Intro to Databases class. A 69% will get me an A-, an 81 will get me an A. SI need a 69% for an A-, an 81% for an A. I have been paranoid the last couple days waiting for the results.

I just took my last final today for the semester. I'm now done with finals and classes. I'm waiting for the results on a couple classes but my GPA could be potentially be a 3.9 and that is coming from four CIT courses. I need a 80.5% on my database final to get an A for the class. I think it is going to be close because there are definitely a couple problems (query statement) I could not figure out and that is a major portion of the grade. Those joins for me have been the hardest part of the course.

My favorite Mega Man is 9. The bosses and stages were really well done. The powers were neat and useful. The music was refreshingly retro. It was very difficult but it was mostly just memorizing patterns.
I've played 1-6, 9 and Mega Man X, my next favorite is 2. 5 is underrated and 6 felt like one too many. X was great.

I've started Final Fantasy III on the Nintendo DS. They have this interesting concept about changing jobs: freelancer, red mage, monk, white mage, black mage, warrior and something else. It's coming along nicely although did get stuck trying to find that gnome village because you needed a character that could use the mini spell and the only way to do that was to have a character that knew level 2 magic. All of my characters were freelancers, or that I did not assign them a class, so I had assign classes and level grind to get their job level to increase. Finally, two of my characters learned Mini so now I could finally move on. I was stuck there longer than I wanted to be.
My record on FF is I've beaten FF1 and FF2 as GBA remakes, and I've beaten 4 and 6 as their snes counterparts from the Wii Virtual Console. I have number 7 and 8 on steam but I've yet to play those so for now I'm doing 3 and then I'll get to number 5, Final Fantasy V Advance on the Game Boy Advance through Vizzed.

Final Fantasy VI is by far my favorite Final fantasy game, one of the greatest video games I've ever played. Final Fantasy IV is amazing too. It clearly set the bar of how role playing games are meant to be done. Never have I played a role playing game which so many magic / spell options and so much depth and scale, alone from a super Nintendo game. Kefka is also one of the all time greatest video game villains. He became a general, and then a god all on his own merits. The second half of the game was dedicated on rallying up your team again to take him down.

I have finished Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team. It is the worst Pokemon game I have ever played. It's an extremely repetitive dungeon layout finding stairs, finding stairs, and more stairs. I'm glad I am out of that game. I will stick to the main games on the handhelds. I beat Ruby and Emerald but still have to get through Sapphire (yes, I know it is practically the same). I need to bring my Pokemon fondness back to life again, these Mystery Dungeon rescue games are instead sucking the life out of me.

I also have gotten through 3 of the endings of 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. But I think I am done with the game. I'm tired of reading text over and over, even if I can skip a lot there's still puzzle I'm solving over and over and I am tired of it. I' am going to catch the remaining endings on youtube and see what happens. It is not worth my time to replay the whole game just for a few minutes of another ending.

I'm a fan of Sonic there are games in the last decade that have shown there are good games out there starring Sonic. Sonic and the Secret Rings It took risks mostly in the controls and despite some execution problems (such as going backwards) it did pull a solid entry in the wii collection.

Sonic Colors is a great game, not just a great Sonic game, but a great general, albeit a bit short. Sonic Generations is a also a good game. It's much lengthier than Sonic Colors, but doesn't quite hit the quality of Sonic Colors. I think what make an amazing Sonic game is a consistent quality that Sonic Colors has that is as lengthy as Sonic Generations.

After restarting Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon I spent several hours in chapter 8 to the arena (lost count how many times I restarted to keep my characters alive). I spent a good 6-7 hours level grinding. It paid off. Chapter 11 has another arena and I'm planning on level grinding with the new characters I acquired. The progress isn't speedy it's going to assure my victory for my 4th Fire Emblem game. My first time through I couldn't even get past chapter 12 but now army is much bigger, much stronger, and vastly highly equipped. Marth is already at level 20.

One show I'm watching is the Big Bang Theory. I'm liking season 8 so far. Season 1-3 are my favorite, but 8 is coming off pretty good. I wanted to see Howard's mother for so long but she passed away.
I also watch Better Call Saul. It's only been 4 episodes but it's coming off really strong. I'm excited for and it could easily become my favorite show this year. The publicity stunt Saul pulls off in the most recent episode, Saul is a crooked genius lawyer. I look forward to watch the rest of the season for the future.

Prince of Persia the Forgotten Sands. I have completed every Prince of Persia game since the Sands of Time reboot. The Sands of Time is only 7 hours long, much shorter than the other ones which each racked over 10 hours. The combat was at its easiest and it's very nicely paced. The water to ice effects are about the only new thing worth bringing up for the franchise and they worked really well. The final boss took me almost an hour to beat. I never needed to upgrade my character because the combat is easy. I still think Sands of Time is the best one.

Replaying Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon after my first failed attempt of being unable to get past level 12. I'm put a lot more strategy and care to my army. Doing a lot better this time around. Made it Chapter 7 and my army is looking to be in fantastic shape right now. I spent a lot of time in the arena and healing with the staffs, leveling up my characters and obtaining more gold. Still a little bummed from not having features from other Fire Emblem games such as the ability to buy things like the heal/mend staffs and lack of horsemen abilities.

Currently playing Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon.
I've played other Fire Emblem games before this one (FE, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance). Made it to chapter 12 and all this time I was really not caring about the units I lost, I couldn't possibly get past it with such dwindling numbers so now I'm starting over. I'm at chapter 2 and going to be much more closely aware and actually try keeping my units alive. When I get to a level with an arena, the healer should help immensely and I'll level grind all I can with my characters before moving on to later levels.

This morning I had an internship interview. Didn't got well. It was over Web development, which that and programming languages are what I'm attempting to accomplish for an internship for my undergraduate degree in Computer Information Technology.

It didn't go very well. I keep asking my about external sources to further advance my skill set in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. People keep getting back to me on codeacademy, which I am using (currently studying up on Python) but there's got to be some other sources. Does anyone have any great free tutorials that aren't just video tutorials but actual practice, besides codeacademy? Because I really bombed that interview and I'm expecting to graduate next year.

ZeroTails :
I've always been a Nintendo guy until I discovered Steam back in 2012. The Zelda and Mario franchises are my favorite. I've logged in over 2000 hours between Smash bros n64, melee and brawl combined.  Vizzed got to lots of Kirby and donkey kong games that I couldn't have ever accessed before.
I'm looking to hit a new horizon. I've never had a playstation console, nor have I ever beaten a PS exclusive. PS1 looks to be a great place to start, root back to the origins. The role playing games are attracting me the most on the PS1. The role playing games have the been the strongest overall on the snes and I hear playstation is (arguably) the king of rpgs.
