Now that  I think about it, one of my other favorite fighters was the first DragonBall Z Budokai, if only because it was so ridiculously lolzy that Yamcha was actually one of the best characters in the game. There was a reason why it took so long to unlock him.

Pretty much the entire Soul series, from Soul Blade all the way on to V and Lost Swords. My favorite for nostalgia is Soul Calibur, for the amount of service done for fans it's III, and V for gameplay; my favorite quality about the series is how focused they are on balancing out the characters, so that even if they do have tiers, anyone can still beat anyone, you just have to be good enough.

I chose Mewtwo, but if Square-Enix would let up for once, I'd pick a particular doll to be in the next Smash Bros. game, or even be DLC for this one.

In Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, it's when you start hearing the Zephonim vampires from out of nowhere, and you're suddenly getting frantic because "OH GOD THE SPIDER VAMPIRES ARE EVERYWHERE AAAAAARGH".

I don't have it anymore, but probably the most obscure game I've had is Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse for PS2. It was basically an unfinished Diablo clone that, all in all, was actually pretty damn terrible. It's tied with X-Kaliber 2097, methinks, in terms of obscurity, but at least the latter was relatively enjoyable, especially the soundtrack. That's what got me into Psykosonik, and what I believe to be their best song.

hellno163 : That reminds me, now that I think about it, Chrono Cross is probably ties with Breath of Fire IV for my favorite PSOne title. I love how Fou-lu is willing to put up with so much crap from all those humans who keep trying to kill him, and it's not until they

I really have a hard time deciding, msotly because it's one of those things that I usually divide between generations. Chrono Cross is probably it for PSOne, Soul Calibur III for PS2 (although the fact that it's also got an arcade version might make it not count), and for PS3... hmm. It's a tie between Dragon's Crown, me thinks, and the remastered release of Ico & Shadow of the Colossus.

Especially SotC. Phalanx made me cry
so damn hard.

SMBLOZ123 : Just saying, nobody else mentioned Portal because the OP's already played them, and has stated such.

Cactuar : I second the Mirror's Edge suggestion. It's a great adrenaline-pumping game, and as far as I know, you can even beat the game without firing a single shot, though I'm not entirely certain on that. You don't even know how much I would love to see a sequel to this.

As the title says. It can be any character, whether they're playable, enemies, or even just the NPC that has a single line or two. All I ask is that you don't come in here to start bashing the game, there's enough sh- I mean, manure that's spread around on it already by the haters.

I'd say that, of the playable ones, my favorites are Grobyc (because a cyborg shouldn't look as hot as he does, and DAT STRONGARM), Steena (because she's the reason why I learned to understand how feet can be a sexual thing), and Karsh (because seeing him and Steena, what with their fashion sense, I can see them singing a duet on Disco Night at the bar in Termina).

The first M-rated game I played was Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, notably, the remake they did on Dreamcast. I didn't even care about the blood and guts and whatever, and I honestly thought it was rated M because you couldn't have understood what the Hell anyone was saying without a high-school education, what with all the Elizabethan dialogue. Seriously, just watch the intro, and tell me that the vocabulary doesn't just make you shiver. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFiLNc46jAM

Now that I think about it, this is one of those things where you really can't just say which one you like the most out of all of them, so much as you like which one of which generation. Thinking like that, this is my list:

8-bit: Final Fantasy I. If we count remakes, then I'm for III on the DS.

16-bit: IV, no question. Even if VI was better. The DS version just reinforced this even more.

32-bit: Tactics, with IX pretty close behind; I'd love to see a crossover with them both, and I swear I'd drool like a frothing madman over seeing Agrias and Beatrix together.

From there out, I don't really have any favorites, although there are some that I liked regardless of the butthurt that some fans had. DIrge of Cerberus was fun, since it really helped deepen Vincent's characterization a lot, although I'd have liked to see his other limits available as well. That, and less of his love interests apart from Lucrecia being teenage kids. The Captain Planet scene was plain awesome as well. I tried XII and XIII, I swear, but I just couldn't get into it. The only other PS2 one I kind of liked was X-2, and that's mostly because I thought the Charlie's Angels dynamic was hilarious.

Honestly, I'd have to say that my favorite one is IV, though the one I consider to be the 'best' is probably VI.

If we allowed
all Squaresoft (and Squeenix) games though, it's Chrono Trigger, without a doubt. It's a real shame that the series died off.

My favorite is actually the version of Dancing Calcobrena from Celtic Moon. Link's here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_8CqmYmiUw

It just manages to be so creepy and cool at the same time.

I have an awful lot of favorite characters, and for different reasons. Crono partly because he's just plain awesome, and also because he can possibly be the child of Lavos (which explains him having enough power to solo Lavos with a mop), a theory I can explain later. Magus, I'll admit, is pretty cool, but he's still not quite as cool as everyone makes him out to be. On the flipside, he's the third fastest character in the game, and speed is the most important stat in CT (my endgame team was almost always Crono, Ayla, and Magus, for exactly that reason).

Counting villains and other NPCs, I actually would say that my favorite character is Flea. As far as I can tell, she's a MtF transsexual (and for that, whenever I talk about Flea, it will be with female pronouns), partly because I think that she's the hottest character out of the bunch. I've actually got a fanfiction idea that pairs her with Ayla, based on how Flea relates beauty to power. They end up meeting in Ozzie's Fort, and Flea falls in love with the cavewoman, seeing her as the greatest example of a sort of raw, primal beauty, and obsesses over her to the point where she gets a Red Gate that takes her to the Prehistoric age, not unlike the one that takes Lucca back to when her mother's legs get chopped off.

A tie for second place goes to Azala and Queen Zeal. I love them both, so much that it's too hard for me to pick just one. I'd considered a drabble series where Zeal ends up taking over The End of Time to let Gaspar have a rest, and the impact from Lavos smashing into the Tyrano Lair had ended up flinging Azala to The End of Time, where she drifted about until she sort of 'washes up' at the little lamp post in the middle of no-when.

We really need to do one of these for Chrono Cross; there are so many more characters to choose from...

Honestly, I can't pick any single villain as a favorite, although I can go for a favorite with each generation.

8-bit: Lich. Blame the fact that I'm a huge D&D geek, but it's just plain awesome to see an undead piece of work that's strong enough to go toe-to-toe with other crazy-powerful fiends.

16-bit: It's not a favorite singular villain in this one so much as it is a group, and for that I adore the Four Fiends of the Elements from Final Fantasy IV. One's a giant zombie with no self-esteem, one's a turtle-man whose head resembles a phallus, another is a lesbian who likes to get into hairplay, and the last one's both a streaker and, somewhat paradoxically, a gentleman, at the same time. There's just so much potential with these characters that I'm surprised the boards on Fanfiction.net aren't overflowing with stories about them.

Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8vz186pjY0

32-bit: It's a hard one for me, but I think this one goes to Delita from Tactics. Such a self-righteous bastard, one who manages to turn the entire nation upside-down and end up being its king. An apparently just (albeit very lonely) one, but still.

After that, I must say that I've rather lost interest in the series, sadly. I might pick it back up later, but I just can't get into anything past IX.

I'm not entirely sure what my absolute favorite is, because I have so many that I like. Shadow of the Colossus, Soul Calibur II and III, and the Ratchet and Clank series come to mind.

sedo45 : Once in awhile I do, though I haven't been able to find my disc (been playing Tekken 6 mostly). I also used to do a lot of both Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament in arcades. I haven't seen a true arcade in a long time, save one in Vegas.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
