Nutshack, The (GBA Video) SiIvaGunner? Where are you in these dark, desolate times?
Mario Paint (Joystick) Somehow that crappy screenshot got me 3rd place in the contest. Standards these days...
Mario Paint (Joystick) Who gave my screenshot a 4/5? I thought it sucked. Oh well. Guess they liked it.
Sonic Adventure 2 Everyone's complaining about how unplayable the game is. I can play it perfectly fine, albeit a little slow. Heck, I even found out how to use a keyboard and not a controller.
Super Mario Land 3 - Tatanga's Return But there's already a Super Mario Land 3. Why is there a fan-game with the same name as an already existing game?
Mother 3 (english translation) Wait! Dr. Andonuts is in this game?! I thought he- Oh, right. That was in Toby Fox's hack. Also, I have a reply for Kekkkys: Seems legit.
Undertale You can't play games in the Video Game Room. These are not emulated games. If you want to play, buy the game yourself. Sorry.
Mega Man X4 WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOORRR?!?!?!?! Dr. Wiwy.

HIVESWAP ACT 1: Waiter! You dropped some '90s pop culture references in my ham steak!
[WARNING: there will be spoilers]

INTRO:
Well, it's been quite some time, hasn't it? It's been around two years since my last review, my controversial opinion regarding Sonic Forces. But I'm not here to talk about Sonic Forces again. I'm going to review a game I've just recently completed, a game I've wanted to play for quite some time. But first, let me tell you about Homestuck. Nah, just kidding. Maybe... Anyway, here's HIVESWAP ACT 1.

CONTEXT:
On April 13, 2009, a man named Andrew Hussie began the newest (and most popular) of his "MS Paint Adventures" webcomics, an adventure titled "Homestuck." Homestuck is about four kids--named John, Rose, Dave, and Jade--who play a video game called Sburb, which causes the destruction of the planet. There are also twelve gray-skinned aliens with horns called "Trolls." That's about as much as I could possibly reveal without turning this into a 26-paragraph essay or without spoiling anything. Just know that the comic concluded in 2016, with an epilogue (or, rather, two) and a sequel just releasing this year. But back to HIVESWAP. Just as the third intermission of the sixth act had begun, a little over 5200 pages in, Hussie announced a new project: an adventure game set in the universe of the webcomic, and started a Kickstarter campaign the same day. A month later, the campaign concluded with almost $2.5 million from almost 25k supporters. This was almost four times the Kickstarter goal. The game was set to release in 2014, but several issues pushed this back... a lot. Heck, it even placed the webcomic in hiatus quite a few times, delaying its conclusion by three years. Yikes. Anyway, five years after the initial campaign, HIVESWAP ACT 1: Kansas City Shuffle was released, as the first of four parts in, in 2017.

Remember what I said about the development issues earlier? Well, at one point in development, the game was planned to have 3D graphics. In fact, some early traile... Read the rest of this Review
Sonic Forces

Sonic Forces you to stop hating on a game because it wasn\'t Mania
Late 2017 brought something Sonic fans were waiting for after over a year. These were, in fact, the 25th anniversary games. First we got Sonic Mania in mid August (late August for PCs). This game was exceptional, receiving the highest amount of praise and review scores in almost 15 years, not to mention it was created by some of the most prominent names in the entire fanbase. Then, in early November, we gained the other half of the bargain: Sonic Forces. This one didn't really receive as much praise as was hoped, with negative reviews and just general hate toward it. But does it really deserve the hate it's receiving? That's why I'm here.

GRAPHICS: 9
The graphics are great and do a good job capturing the atmosphere of the game. The levels are very beautiful, with Green Hill having a tiny bit of a desert motif with it this time around, Chemical Plant snowing, and many other examples. This game looks exceptionally well on hardware like the PS4 and Xbox One, with the Switch having a bit of a downgrade due to hardware limitations. The lighting is beautiful, and there is just so much to talk about regarding the graphics. A couple things are a bit more simplistic this time around, such as the title screen and HUD, which I personally think looks nice.

SOUND: 8
The songs in this game are great. Each character has a different style of music to match their play styles, levels, and personalities. Sonic has the more traditional stage music, though with a bit more techno, the avatar has techno music, and Classic Sonic has the retro Genesis style music. The new villain of the game, Infinite, has a theme song that seems to blend trap, metal, and dubstep, and all the bosses have a techno/dubstep style (with the exception of Classic Sonic's boss). Shadow even makes an appearance as a playable character, with his stage's themes having a bit of an edgier techno vibe. Overall, there is a lot of techno, but my only complaint about the music is that in three lev... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Go

Dreams Do Come True (if you own a cell phone)
Pokémon GO is a new game that was recently released for Android and iOS. This game has been hyped for since earlier this year, and the hype was worth it. Catching little pocket monsters in real life, having battles and trades (as of this review, these features have not yet been added), even finding specific Pokémon in specific regions. I will go into more detail later, but for now, let's get on with the review.

GRAPHICS: 9/10
The graphics in this game aren't "the best." In fact, there are barely any graphics. It just uses your phone camera. You can turn the AR mode off, though. The graphics that are present can be repetitive and boring. So what makes boring, repetitive graphics deserve a 9? The concept. The "boring and repetitive" graphics are actually the GPS, so let's just say that if you wanted to see your house as a greenish-blue square, you can. Occasionally a Pokémon, Pokéstop, or Gym will appear. The rest of the graphics are menu graphics that look like they belong in some social media app. And, of course, catching a Pokémon with your phone camera is the best thing since Homestuck Act 7 (which was the best thing since Undertale which was the best thing since FNaF and etc.).

SOUND: 7/10
The sound is kind of boring. The same music plays over and over again. Sometimes I think I here a part of a song that sounds like a song from another game, but I doubt it. Maybe if there was more variety in the music it would help. For now, though, the music deserves a 7.

ADDICTIVENESS: 10/10
Gotta catch 'em all! This game is very addicting. Pokémon hunting is very fun and addicting. Not only does it allow players to experience what it's like to actually be a Pokémon Trainer, but it also encourages them to explore the world around them. Gym battles are fun, as well. You must dodge the attacks of enemy Pokémon and attack them yourself. Depending on how much CP (Combat Points) you have, your attac... Read the rest of this Review
Undertale

Undertale: The Perfect Blend of Earthbound, Zelda, and... Touhou?
Undertale is possibly the best indie game, if not Steam game, if not video game, of 2015. Just as it says in the title, Undertale is basically a mix of Earthbound (which was actually a major inspiration for the game and is the favorite video game of the creator, Toby Fox), Zelda (there are a lot of puzzles), and Touhou (or other games of the same type). WARNING: The following review has SPOILERS! Do not continue if you've never played Undertale (and Radiation's ROM hack, Earthbound Halloween Hack: Bad Fur Day (which can be played on Vizzed, believe it or not (but it is M for Mature so don't play it if you're under 17)))! You have been warned

GRAPHICS: 8/10
Undertale doesn't have the best graphics. The graphics are 8-bit style graphics, and sometimes they could be dull. Some people complain about how plain and simple the graphics for the first area of the game, The Ruins, are. But they definitely give off a nostalgic vibe. There are some, erm... "realistic" graphics at the end of the Neutral Route (I'll give you a hint: it's the final boss).

SOUND: 10/10
Just like when I reviewed Pokémon White 2, the music in this game is very catchy and amazing. The music was composed by Toby "Radiation" Fox, best known for his music on the webcomic Homestuck. One track is very interesting: Megalovania. This was used for the final boss of the previously mentioned Earthbound Halloween Hack, Dr. Andonuts, when Toby somehow couldn't use Megalomania from Live A Live. It was later used for the flash animation, Wake, which is a very graphic Homestuck animation. Other tracks not originally for this game include Fallen Down (used in an album that had other songs using the Earthbound soundfont by various other people including Toby), Another Medium, Heartache, Nyeh Heh Heh, and Bonetrousle, with the last three originally for another RPG that was never made.

ADDICTIVENESS: 10/10
The game is very addicting. There are three main routes: Neutral (... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon White Version 2

The Best Pokemon Game (in my opinion)
Pokémon White Version 2. Only 3 words can describe one of my favorite video games and my favorite Pokémon game: PLAY THIS NOW! The Unova region, 2 years after the events of Pokémon Black and White. This one sentence can only describe the story, so let's jump right into this.

GRAPHICS: 8/10
The graphics look amazing. Many of the graphics look like they may be ripped from the GBA, but others use what the DS could do, making this game look like Paper Mario. The battle sprites show (mostly) what the attacks are supposed to look like. However, the graphics aren't exactly flawless. *cough* *cough* glitches *cough* *cough* surfing on trees. Wow, I think I might be getting a cold from ALL THESE GLITCHES!

SOUND: 9/10
The music can easily get stuck in your head. With each gym having a remix of the classic theme that fits the personality/Pokémon type of the Gym Leaders, as well as the PWT having remixes of previous battle themes depending on the challenge, this game's music is so awesome, whenever you hear the music, you realize, "Oh, I know that song! It's obviously <INSERT SONG FROM B2/W2 HERE>!"

ADDICTIVENESS: 10/10
There's something about this game that makes me want to play it over and over again. There were so many legendary Pokémon in this game (though I wish it could add more), so much stuff to do post-game, and the challenge of filling out the Pokedex is, well, challenging.

STORY: 10/10
As I mentioned before, this game takes place after the events of Pokémon Black and White (hence the 2). Team Plasma is back and plan to freeze the Unova region with Kyurem's ice. It's up to you, your rival, Cheren, and Bianca to save the Unova region from Team Plasma's return. That may be easier said than done, but luckily the Swords of Justice are here to help.

DEPTH: 9/10
This game doesn't have much to do post-game. It doesn't have that much Pokémon to catch. But at least it is ... Read the rest of this Review
