Chiller (version 3.0) @flato There are a lot of games out there with a similar premise as this one.
Wolfenstein 3D Also, I find it funny that Nintendo wanted all blood to be removed, but B.J.'s face bleeds when you get to low health.
Wolfenstein 3D I found the flamethrower! Anyone else find it?
Elf Bowling 1 & 2 @Davideo7 Um... vizzed... is a kids-site... right?
Elf Bowling 1 & 2 @Davideo7 Um... vizzed... is a kids-site... right?
Duke Nukem 3D This is a good game, but EXTREMELY difficult EVEN on the easiest setting
Burger Time Deluxe Weird how Peter (the guy you play as) has to serve burgers, yet he is dressed as a baker. But thus game is pretty nice. I think I might get it from the e-shop on my 3ds sometime.

SplatterHouse (World new version)

The game little Jimmy's parents said he can't play.
***WARNING***: This is a review of a game that was controversial for it's time and contains high amounts of blood, gore, and violence. In order to do this review properly, I will have to describe some of this. If you do not like this sort of thing, I suggest not reading and I highly suggest not playing the game. If you are reading this review, then enjoy!~

Splatter House! A very controversial game made by Namco in 1988, yes, the same Namco that made Pac-Man, Galaxian, Dig-Dug, and all those cute little games aimed at an audience of basically every age. So, yea, that, in my opinion, pretty cool company, who seems to be Mr. Scrooge when it comes to their IOS games, made this wonderful gore fest. Why is it wonderful and why is it a gore fest? Well, I will tell you why!

In this game, you play as some guy named Rick who's girl friend, Jennifer, gets kidnapped by monsters and so Rick wears this "Terror Mask" and must go through the mansion and kill lots of monsters using different weapons. For controls, you can move left and right, press down to duck or pick up weapons, press up to pick up weapons on a wall, a button to jump and a button to attack. Standing and attacking does a punch, while jumping or crouching and attacking does a kick.

The weapons you will find include a meat cleaver, which will chop enemies' heads off. A 2x4 which will splatter enemies on a wall, a rock and wrench, which both can be thrown at enemies but can not be picked back up, an axe (it is only used in one boss battle, and the boss always has the same "damage" and "death" animations regardless of what you use), and a shotgun, which will blow enemies to pieces.

Some enemies you will find include these red bug-eyed zombie-monster thingies as well as a stronger green variation of them, these brown zombie monster thingies with bloating heads that will charge at you when you kill it, zombie dogs, these weird slug things with some sort of giant slugs with some hi... Donkey Kong (US set 1)
11-29-13 08:07 AM
It's on like Donkey Kong!
Donkey Kong was a platform arcade game made in 1981 by Nintendo. In the game you control a carpenter, Jumpman, who must save Pauline from Donkey Kong, Jumpman's pet circus gorilla, by climbing up unfinished buildings made of girders. Upon starting, we see Donkey Kong climbing up a ladder on 6 stories of girders. When he gets to the top, Donkey Kong stomps his way to the left of the screen, causing the girders to get bent. The game begins.

Pushing right on the joystick moves Jumpman to the right, pushing left on the joystick moves Jumpman left, pushing up will make Jumpman climb up a ladder (although, some ladders are broken. So, you cannot climb them.) and pushing down makes him climb down ladders. Pushing the fire button will make Jumpman jump.

The first level is a 6 story set of red girders. You must climb to the top while avoiding the barrels Donkey Kong tosses from the top left. In order to dodge the barrels, you must either jump over them, be somewhere on a ladder and have a barrel pass over/under you, or use a hammer. When you grab the hammer (by jumping into it), you can use it to break barrels. However, you cannot jump or climb ladders. Also, if you get stuck in that one frame where Jumpman has the hammer up in the air and a barrel hits you, you lose a life. Same if the barrel hits you behind.

Donkey Kong will also throw blue barrels that fall towards an oil barrel where Jumpman started. When the blue barrel makes it there, a fireball will come out and chase Jumpman by climbing up the ladders. The fireball's A.I. is pretty weak, as well as he is slow. So, he should not be much of a threat on the first board. He can be jumped over or defeated with the hammer as well.

Once you get to the top, Donkey Kong will carry Pauline up to the next level. Level 2 is a Pie Factory. It consists of shifting conveyor belts and large pies that will kill Jumpman. These pies can be jumped over or destroyed with a hammer. In this stage, Donkey... Read the rest of this Review
Berzerk (set 1)

"Coin Detected in Pocket."
Berzerk was a video arcade game made by Stern electronics in 1980. It was based off of the designers dream, which was where he was shooting robots in dark corridors. In the game you control a "Humanoid" and must navigate rooms with walls that are apparently electrical since you die when you touch them. In these rooms, you will find these robots that sorta look like garbage cans with arms and legs that shoot laser beams at you. You can either shoot them, go past them to the next room, or just let them kill themselves or each other.

The controls are pretty simple. You move with the joystick and fire with, well, the fire button. You can move in 8 directions however, you have to be moving in order to shoot. Standing still and pressing the fire button does nothing. You start out with 2 extra lives, indicated by green stick-figures in the bottom left of the screen. You die either by being shot by a robot, making contact with a robot, being hit with the robot's explosion when it dies, touching a wall, or touching Evil Otto, a bouncing, indestructible smiley face that bounces around. It will only appear if you take too long in a room.

As your score gets higher, the robots will get more difficult. The first ones you see aren't so bad, as they are slow and rarely shoot. But as the game goes on, the robots will get faster, shoot faster, and shoot more often. You don't have to kill all the robots in order to exit a room, but if you do, you will hear a voice saying "Chicken, fight like a robot." Yes, this game has speech in it. The very first arcade game to have speech, in fact. For example, "Get the humanoid.", "Kill it.", "The humanoid must not escape." and when you die, "Got the humanoid. Got the intruder.". These voices are heard in several different pitches.

Graphics - 3

Now, I know this game was made in 1980 but, games at that time had a lot better graphics. Every sprite is just one solid color. The character you play as is just a green ... Read the rest of this Review
Castlevania - Dracula X

Castlevania: Dracula X (AKA Devil's Castle Dracula X: Rondo of Blood) Review
Castlevania: Dracula X, Or known in Japan as Devil's Castle Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (no joke), is the 5th installment in the Castlevania series. You play as Richter Belmont and go through 9 stages, armed with a whip and you can pick up a secondary weapon by killing enemies or whipping candles, and if you are holding a secondary weapon and get a new one, your current one will be dropped so you can swap them back if you change your mind. In candles, you will also (and most commonly) find hearts. A small heart counts as 1 and a big heart counts as 5. Hearts are not health, they are am unit ion for whatever secondary weapon you have.

You use the a button to jump, b to whip, and up + b to use your secondary weapon. Left and right to move left and vice verso and down to duck or go down stairs, and up to go up stairs. As for your whip, you can only whip in front of you, unlike in Super Castlevania IV you can whip in 8 directions. But as for the stairs, you can actually JUMP on the stairs, which helps a lot. And if you press y button, you will do a special attack. This will launch out a huge storm of whatever secondary weapon you are using, but it costs more hearts. But it does lots more damage and helps against bosses or in areas with tons of enemies.

Graphics: The graphics are excellent. A lot of attention to detail and colors. You can tell Richter has some muscles due to the coloration, same with the skeletons how they look rotted slightly. The animation is also well done, not a single frame missing. The backgrounds I like in particular. That fire effect in the first level is awesome with how it waves around. The background also has some nice Gothic details to it, like the destroyed buildings in level one and the castle walls in the other 8 levels.

Sound: The sound has awesome music. Remixes of the classic "Classicvania'' songs. The sound effects are also nice as well, like when you hit an enemy with your whip.

Depth: This game has a... Read the rest of this Review
Castlevania - Blood Moon

Castlevania: Blood Moon
I am pretty sure alot of you NES'ers know about Castlevania. Well, there was a hack made a while ago and actually put on a cartridge called "Castlevania: Blood Moon".

Graphics:

The graphics are very similar to the NES game, but with a few custom graphics as well. The black panthers are now spiders, the zombies look more like zombies other than skeletons in a table cloth, and the bosses look different as well. For example, the mummies look like humans wearing some armor.

Sound:

The same classic songs and sounds from the original! They even mixed up the boss soundtracks. All the bosses use the song from Dracula's second form, and Dracula's first form uses the regular boss theme. And it works really well!

Depth:

Besides everything in the first Castlevania, there is not much. It is alot like the original. No, TOO much like the original.

Difficulty:

Just a little bit harder than the original. However, you can actually move while whipping.

Addictiveness:

Despite being alot like the original, I would play this alot. I think I may try and beat it some day.

Overall, this is a great hack. A bit too much like the first one, but still fresh enough. I would actually not mind getting a copy of my own of Ebay or somewhere else.
