KurisuKaname's Last Game Reviews
Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Greatest of all time? Or another "eh"?
Alright so it's time for me to hopefully not review anything negatively! Can I hold out? My reviews of Somari and Sonic 3D Blast weren't amazing, but maybe I found my smile this time around! Here we are with ONE HALF of my favorite Sonic Game of all time. This is Sonic 3, part of the Sonic 3 & Knuckles Saga. This saga is basically Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles together, as they were originally supposed to be one game. But without further ado, let's get to the game at hand. Sonic The Hedgehog 3!

Graphics:
This game is a pretty good upgrade to Sonic The Hedgehog 2. The sprites have been all redone just to smooth everything out, and for the Sega Genesis I really think they did will with what they wanted Sonic 3 to be and how they were gonna do it. Nothing feels like a missed moment, visually. From the moment you fly to Angel Island, to it catching on fire, all the way to the final battle with Dr. Robotnik. Plus the special stages even do things with Sonic that are pretty impressive, even if it is just a checkerboard background with some spheres on it. All of this said, I score The Graphics a 7/10.

Sound:
The sound is pretty good, from the moment you start up, to the moment you fight the final boss, it feels pretty good. A lot of the music, as a matter of fact, is reportedly composed by Michael Jackson, and honestly... Who could not enjoy the Final Boss theme? It's just amazingly epic! I think they hit the nail on the head with this one. 8/10.

Addictiveness:
I would play this again, I've played it many times over the years and I'm sure you will too! There's not much to say about the addictiveness of the game, maybe I'm just on a Nostalgia Rush, but honestly, I rate The Addictiveness 7/10.

Story:
Alright so they kinda tried with the story this time around, even if the game is basically in half. Sonic and Tails are flying along after Sonic 2, when they see a Floating Island, falling from the sky. Sonic goes Super ... Read the rest of this Review

The Dark Age of Sonic?
Welcome to the GOLDEN ERA of Sonic The Hedgehog. The 90s are known as the best years for Sonic Games, but what if I told you that wasn't entirely true? Here is what I call the first "Dark Age of Sonic.", between 1995 and 1998, many bad Sonic Games came out, with a drought of good games, after Sonic & Knuckles. These games include but aren't limited to... Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic R, and this game, Sonic 3D Blast. But is this game really that bad? We shall find out today! Let's go back to 1996 and try out Sonic 3D Blast or as it's known in Europe. Sonic 3D Flickies' Island.

Graphics:
The graphics are pretty good by SEGA Genesis standards. With some cutscenes that are basically just... pictures, with a bit of text underneath. Honestly though..I found nothing that bad. The game is in an isometric standpoint with.... Basic Sprites. Honestly, I don't mind the graphics of this game at all, therefore I'll give it a 6/10

Sound:
Unlike the rest of the game, the sound is pretty dang good. Not as epic as The Sega Saturn Version released AFTER this one. But the sound is pretty much spot on, as expected from a Sonic Game, with my favorite track being the Second Boss Theme (There's two, that basically alternate). Though the final fight theme is...not so good. It's too subtle and doesn't really resemble music. I can see what they were going for but honestly, the fight already fell flat without the lack of a true final fight track. Therefore on sound I give this game an 8/10.

Addictiveness:
This is where things go down hill...The game's not addictive, in fact there's little chance I'll want to go back and finish the game again. It just comes off a bit annoying, like most of my reviews I use the Difficulty Section to describe Gameplay, so I won't plague the review with a long as long can be Addictiveness Section.

Story:
The story... I should rate this higher, but for once in a Sonic Game, it's pissed me off. Here's how it goe... Read the rest of this Review

Somari - The Worst Game I've Ever Played!
Alright, so here I am with a review of MY Worst Game EVER! You thought Sonic 06 was the bottom of Donkey Kong's endless barrels? NOPE! I found even WORSE! I won't even go easy on the game just because it's a bootleg, but let the review explain why. Here we go!

GRAPHICS:
Alright so first thing's first, how does the game look? Well I would be nice to this game since it /IS/ a bootleg on the NES but this has gotten too bad to bare! I mean, the sprites are actually alright, but here's the problem...Half the time there's too many spammed on screen to render! The first boss was barely visible when I fought it! Sometimes I've been hit by sprites that either look exactly like the background or are not even loaded into System Memory. It's bad, it's sad. It's just terrible. That's why I rate the Graphics a 1/10

SOUND:
Again I should be nice to this game since it isn't even official but...I can't. The sound is atrocious. The first thing I get when I start the game is probably the worst rendition of The Sonic 1 Title Screen Music, I have EVER heard! It doesn't help that I go straight into the game with a bad rendition of Green Hill Zone, and so on and so forth, I'm sorry but I can't rate this high, not when it's on the same system that has memorable, GOOD MUSIC, like...The Soundtracks from The Super Mario Bros Series. Or even The Legend of Zelda Series. MAYBE EVEN THE MEGA MAN SERIES. This game's sound is just...bad. 1/10

ADDICTIVENESS:
I will probably NEVER play this game again unless I have to. Why? Because you feel like you're being trolled from the first 30 seconds in... The fact that before you can even get rings, you can be hit by seemingly unmissable (due to bad physics) enemies, is just terrible. I'll explain this under difficulty later, but just know...If you play this, you likely won't be addicted. 1/10

STORY:
Believe it or not, this piece of trash has a story, not displayed AT ALL in game, but displayed when you loo... Read the rest of this Review
