Luxor Evolved
Luxor Evolved, released in 2012 by Mumbo Jumbo, takes Luxor to a new level that previous installments didn't. Faster and more difficult, Luxor Evolved really targets a more hardcore audience than the previous casual audience ('m sorry, the name of the game is actually "difficulty", sorry for the confusion). It even has actual bosses now! Luxor Evolved does many things differently, and I'm here to break it all down for you.
Graphics - 8
The graphics are, different. While the other Luxor games were detailed and Egyptian themed, Evolved has a much more simplistic design and neon look and feel. The background is always just stars, the balls are colored circles with stars in them, and the pyramids are, well, lines that look more like a square with a cross in it. As bad as I just made that sound, the neon look it has makes them look great and fits amazingly well with the gameplay of Luxor and the arcade feel that Evolved goes for. But what do graphics matter when everything is moving so fast that you hardly have time to react to the game?
Sound - 8
The music in this game, like the graphics, throws any resemblance to previous games out the window. To fit in with the colorful visuals and fast-paced gameplay, the game now has dubstep that gets more intense the closer a chain gets to the pyramid. The music may not be too great on its own, but it fits the game extremely well, making it seem all the more intense and impossible when you have a chain with a half ball almost inside your pyramid, which is literally every level (I'm not even exaggerating). Addictiveness - 8
This game will be as addictive as either crack, or potatoes. It really depends on if you enjoy difficulty, as that really is the main focus of Evolved. That is all there is to it, i... Read the rest of this Review

Run faster! Faster!
Even though I got this game only three days ago, I can already tell this game will bring me countless hours of entertainment and be well worth the dollar I paid for it. And I've enjoyed so much already, I'm already writing a review (Don't worry, there is not much to this game and can all be seen in ten minutes of play, so there won't be anything I miss).
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are all quite simple, consisting of all cubes, rectangular prisms, pyrimands, a grid, and a cool background. Nothing fancy, bit they all look very nice and feel right for the game, and still look awesome in 2D and 3D (but, if yhour in hyper mode. which I'll explain later, and using 3D, I do not reccomend turning the depth up fully as it a strain to look at (and for all I know, it may be bad for your eyes!)). A nice touch too is all the visual effects during hyper mode and in hazard zones. For example, the tunnel just seems to stretch will in hyper mode, and in the gravity well hazard zone it decreases fog distance and keeps distorting your vision (for a good image, image your vision while drunk). It looks all very well, the only thing I have to complain about, the HUD. It could have been layed out a little better, as the item you currently have (if any) is important, and when your going at 200-300 meters a second (or so the game claims), you don't have time to look away the game screen and look at the touch screen and see what item you have (oh, and shields!). those could of been placed on the top screen. All in all, 8/10.
Audio: 8/10
The audio is basic, 5 infinitly looping songs that you can switch between at any point (yes, they get very repetitive, but you can turn music down in options), and a few sound effects (shield/power-up collected, hyper mode, taken damage, death). The 5 are very enjoyable, and fit very well, but unfortunatly are a bit repetitive. And the sound effects can be easily heard over the music, and are useful in the cause of when you ...
