Pokemon Red Review
Hello all of you gamers and arcade loving people in the world. My name is Vizzfan23 and this is my Pokémon Red retro game review. Now on my last review I talked about a long lost relic of the arcade era which was known as Ninja Baseball Batmen. I was a great arcade that many people from that time had never heard of. However I really want to change gears and finally talk about a Pokémon game. What better way to begin then with the game that started it all. So pick your starter and grab a couple of potions because we are going on a terrific Pokémon adventure.

Pokémon, one of the most iconic games of all time.  Everybody around the world have played these games. Whither they where little kids or mature adults, millions of people around the world have fallen in love with the amazing games. But I believe that the original Pokémon games where the best, especially Red. But how did this game get so popular though.

Well first off the graphics used in this game are some of the best of the extensive library of  Gameboy games. Many of the models of the Pokémon look realistic and the environment looks terrific for the system. However some of the Pokémon, especially Mew and Golbat, looked pretty bad. They looked like crude, unfinished sketches of deformed animals.  Even with this, all of the trainer sprites look good while all of the items look good.  So even with the few graphical hiccups that made their way into this game, I still believe that the graphics of this game really deserves a amazing 9 out of 10 with its great character designs and  brilliant environmental features. It was really good compared to other Gameboy titles like Super Mario Land and Harvest Moon GB

Now with great graphics, great sound should follow right? Well with this game it would be a yes. Much of the ... Read the rest of this Review

Ninja Baseball Batmen Review
Hello all of you gamers and arcade loving people in the world. My name is Vizzfan23 and this is my Ninja Baseball Batmen retro game review. For all of the people that read my last review over WWF Wresltefest, you know that I think that Wresltlefest is one of the best arcade games of all time. Well since I love arcade games a whole lot , in this review I am going to talk about my second favorite arcade game. It may be one of least known games of the arcade era but still it is really fun.  That game is called Ninja Baseball Batmen. Hopefully you will enjoy this great review over a very underestimated game of a great gaming era.

Have you ever imagined a game filled with ninjas and baseball. Well if you ever have this is the game for you. Ninja Baseball Batmen is a terrific mash up of Double dragon but with baseball bats and living gloves to fight. Even if that doesn't make you excited for this game then maybe the fact that only about 20 of these arcade machines where made with only about 5 of those coming to the states. That would make this fun arcade game one of the rarest games of all time.

Even with the rarity of this amazing it would not be same without all of the terrific graphics that gives this game its awesomeness. The animations of this game, in my opinion are some of the best ever produced on the arcade platform. The animations really help the fictional feel of the game by making all of the living gloves and fighting playing cards makes me feel like that the animators really took their time to form this part of the game. The terrific color scheme of this arcade classic really makes the game come to life. What I mean by that is that would you really want to play a Mortal Kombat or Super Mario game without the great colors that make the characters and stages rememberble. Unlike many games, I couldn't  really find anything wrong with any of the graphics which helps the graphic part of the game earn a perfect 10 out of 10.

WWF WrestleFest (US set 1)

WWF Wrestlefeast Review
Hello all of you gamers and arcade loving people in the world. My name is Vizzfan23 and this is my WWF WrestleFest retro game review. I hope I'm not the only WWF/WWE fans on this webpage that loves the Wrestlefest arcade game. Now for those who have read my previous review i went over NFL Blitz 2001 for the Nintendo 64 which a whole different beast then the classic arcade machine. So please bear with me here as we begin my second review.

Do you remember back in the day when going to the arcade was the only way to play a video game. I may have not been able to live in a time where this was the only way to game but I do know that the games that where created have made a lasting mark on everybody that was heard of them. The arcades brought us many good games including the original Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, and yes even Mario but the one arcade game that left the biggest impression on my heart was WWF Wreslefest.

The graphics on this game where some of the greatest ever produced by an arcade machine. Before this game and the creation of the arcade machine the main character of many games where either pixelated people or just random objects that where given the power of movement. But this game brought us the first full sized models of actual people with a ton of different colors and designs which lead to the perfect arena. Well this is mainly true inside of the ring while on the outside it is a completely different experience. When you or your opponents is tossed over the ropes the arena completely transforms into a very cramped misshaped arena. On top of that all of the beautiful colors that you see on the inside of the ring are now all mixed up and make the outside of the ring look completely different from the inside. Even with these faults I think that the graphics of this game really deserve a very nice 8 out of 10 rating.

Now where there are terrific graphics don't you think that terrific sound effects should be included, right? Well... Read the rest of this Review
NFL Blitz 2001

NFL Blitz 2001 Review
Hello all of you gamers and arcade loving people in the world. My name is Vizzfan23 and this is my NFL Blitz 2001 review. This is my very first review on the forum so please give me lots of feedback and maybe suggest the next game I should review. So without further ado lets get this review underway.

Imagine you go to your local gaming store back in the glorious days of the Nintendo 64 and the Sega Genies and your looking for a fun arcade style game where any thing goes and is just out of the ordinary. Well this is that game. If you are the type of football fan that likes a realistic kind of football game this is not for you. In this game there is no penalties, no refs, no rules just hard hitting football with big hits and lots of flying football gear.

Now with a game like this you do expect great graphics I'm I right? Well with this game you will not be disappointed. The logos of the teams do look like their real life counterparts and the stadiums are very good but there is some down falls. The players look a bit rough and the ball looks kind of lopsided but it really doesn't affect the fun of this game. Compared to other sports games on the System like NBA Jam the character models are way more advanced then any models ever seen on the system before (except for Super Mario 64). So with the advancements it brings but of the graphical issues I would give the graphics a decent 7 out of 10 rating

Now that we talked about the way the game looks, let go on to the sounds that will be pumping out of your computer speakers. With the experience I had with this game the sounds where very good for a game in this gene it could have been a little bit better with the Nintendo 64's build. Super Mario and all of the Techmo games use sounds that sound really clear while the sound from Blitz are kinda muffled it is still very easy to under stand the sounds of the tackles and other moves. The sound on this game was good it just didn't live up to the 64's sou... Read the rest of this Review
