Ys - The Vanished Omens

Ys, The first of the great games
This game is the first Ys, to come to north America, and it landed on the master system which allowed it to have a great non censored story.  I played this game a couple of times as a kid, I think I was around 8 or 9 years old.  I would walk out to battle the enemies, and I could not figure out how to attack, and I would run into enemies with no equipment on and die right away.  I knew nothing of buying equipment and equipping them back then, and running into enemies to kill them, I could never figure it out as a kid.  So I hated the game and buried it in the backyard, never to be seen again as I moved out 5 years later (I wonder if its still there.)  I picked up Ys 3, years later and I loved it, so as an adult I decided to play this game again, and I would have to say this game rocks.  The game came out in 1987 and it was different compared to most game at that time.  You have to buy and equip items and weapons, the running into bad guys was, and still is a bit weird, as I know they could have put in a swinging animation.  But still in the end its a pretty good game and I would recommend playing it.  Well here are the ranking by the Master of the Wolf.  The ultimate rankings.

Graphics: 7.  I gave this game a 7 in the graphics department, because the graphics in 1987 were alright.  At the time there were better graphics out there, but this game did not have bad graphics either.  Just a little above average.

Sound: 5.  The sound was not the worst nor the best in 1987.  The sound was kind of boring at times, but the final battle and ending music made up for it, so I rated it right smack in the middle.

Addictiveness: 9.  I have now beaten this game 3 times in 5 months period.  Twice on the Sega master system and once on the turbografx-16.  The game is short and easy but has a good story as I will explain in the next section.  With those elements it ... Read the rest of this Review
Ikari Warriors II

Ikari Warriors 2
Ikari warriors 2 is a fun quick game.  I remember playing this a lot when I was a kid.  My friends and I would play 2 player all the time and of course we would die a lot, but there is a secret continue, just press A, B, B, A after you die and you will continue right where you died.  Though my friends and I could never beat the last guy when I was a kid, because when you are at the last boss you only get 3 continues and then you are dead.  You normally have unlimited continues but at the last boss you lose that and only have 3 continues.  I just now played this game again and I can easily beat it with no continues, so I guess I got better at games.  But now for my rankings, you ready, here we go.

Graphics: 2 - The graphics on this game are really bad I think for Nes standards even.  The characters look like they bandaged their legs for some reason.  The bosses are bland looking and even the last guy looks wrong.  The background not that good,  The shop is the only good graphics in the game.  But remember graphics are not the only reason to play games, the game play is pretty good on this game.

Sound: 5 - Sound is upbeat and makes you wanna venture forth and destroy the enemies.  The voices in the game are horrible but in Nes time any voices in the game was awesome, I remember loving hearing the voices in the game when I was little.

Addictiveness: 5 - If you can't beat the game its addictive enough to keep you playing just to beat it, because the game with continues or not will let you get to the end, and if you lose 3 times will take your victory away from you.  You will just wanna try one more time, and again, and again.

Story: 2 - The story is blandish.  The story tells you in the most annoying and slow typing text that: You just got done beating Ikari warriors 1 and now you need to return home.  The random officer is telling you he will give you h... Read the rest of this Review

Bad Dudes Review
Bad dudes is an interesting game to play.  I used to play it a lot when I was a kid, and even as a kid I could beat this game but I would play it at least 10 or more times per year, so I could show off to my friends on how good was because I could beat this game and they couldn't.

Here are my rankings

Graphics: 5 - For the Nes time period I would say this game is pretty average.  The hero and bad guy sprites are a little below average, but the graphics that are pretty awesome are the Truck and Train stages.  The truck and train stages show movement in the background which is cool for the Nes period.

Sound: 7 - The sound I believe is awesome, as every time you beat a level your character yells I,M BAD, which sound horrible by today's standards but in the Nes times voices were almost unheard of, so I thought that it was cool the game designers added that.  I graded the sound high also because stage 2 has the most upbeat music track in the game and it just motivates you to keep going, and it feels so good to listen to it.  The other music in the game is pretty good too.

Addictiveness: 7 - I have beaten this game 3 times in the last 2 days just to see how quick I can beat this game and how fast.  This game is pretty addictive I would say.

Story: 1 - The story is pretty goofy.  When you start the game you here that the president has been kidnapped by ninjas. (really?)  Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president.  Yea that story makes no sense, but it should make you laugh at least.  The ending story is even more goofy  I almost fell outta my chair laughing at the ending of the game.  If you wanna see what I am talking about try beating it, its easy.

Depth: 1 - The game is really short as I can beat it in 20 minutes, if your new to the game it might take about 30 to 40 minutes to win.

Difficulty: 2 - The game is very easy to beat as I beat it m... Read the rest of this Review

Gran turismo 1 Walkthrough by LeeEel
Gran turismo 1 Walk throughThis is my first walk through ever, I will be walking the reader through the game as I myself beat this game.  I have beaten this game six times though it has been awhile so this is from memory.  I will be only walking you through the simulation mode as the arcade mode is self explanatory.

1. Getting started.
2. All cars in game.
3. All tracks.
4. License tests.
5. Races to beat the game.
6. Engine placement, and drive wheels and how to control them.
7. Step by step on how I beat the game.
8. Credits.

1. Getting started is how everyone starts.
I will say the Gran turismo's are my favorite games of all time.  I have beaten GT1 through GT5 now, when I get time I shall beat GT6.  So here is what this game is about.  You can pick arcade and simulation mode, simulation mode is the main game play so this walk through will be about the simulation mode.  I will say some things about the arcade mode now though.  Arcade mode is beatable, you have to beat A, B, and C, class car on each track on each difficultly level.  To see how far you progressed you look at bonus items and there will be colored dots and pictures of cars to let you know how far you are.  You can win new and better cars the farther you get.  I race easy first in all tracks and all classes then go to normal and then difficult just because I like order and to get everything without forgetting stuff.  Once you collect all items you beat arcade mode its really that easy.
You can go to options to mess with some stuff but I don't touch anything except View position which I myself like driver.  You have 3 configurations to choose from and analog.  Config 1: 2 player battle laps, tire damage, and handicap, music and sound effects and do you want vibration on or off.  Config 2 is view status like view position, chase view, course map, and view angle.  Config 3 is j...
