Mario in Sonic 1 (Somari) Hah, I don't mind it, I kinda like seeing Mario run around as Sonic.

Sonic Spinball Review
(MY FIRST REVIEW, I APPREICATE ANY FEEDBACK)

One of my first memories is actually playing this game with my father, and other Genesis games as well. This bring me so far back it's pretty crazy nostalgic.Kids these days know of the Nintendo Gameboy Advance rendition, but this is far from, and in my opinion, much better. I'm probably giving it such a high overall rating because I've played this game on-off for my whole life, and brings back very good memories.

Story: The point of this game is to go through the 4 worlds (within The 'Veg-o-Fortress), free animals along the way, and to advance through the worlds you must collect all the emeralds of that stage and defeat it's boss. Classic pinball system, HUD at the top, and there's even a button for both flippers. Once a stage has been cleared, you are thrown into a special stage where Sonic is playing a pinball machine that always features Eggman and the releasing of animals in some way shape or form. Other than that, there's no real in-game story to be found. (6 out of 10)

Depth: Like said before, HUD at the top, button for both flippers (C on the console version) and emerald collection and boss battle to pass through the stage. Unlike most Sonic games, you do not have to do anything special to go into the Special Stage, so this is defiantly a bonus. Rings also aren't very important, they do, however, give you bonus points at the end of each round or at death. You start with 3 lives and gain extra ones when you reach designated scores. Like many pinball games, you have to hit designated marks on the board to unlock areas or collect the emerald, so that's a nice feature to have in. Sonic's abilities include: Holding onto ledges, spin-dash (down and 'A, 'B', or 'C') and jump, using 'A', 'B', or 'C'. You can also control sonic's character movement using up-down-left-right, which comes in handy and is pretty much necessary. (8 out of 10)

Sound: While I... Read the rest of this Review
