The Binding of Isaac
04-13-17 07:08 PM
Isaac is bound!
Have you ever thought about Isaac? This is his story, a delusional mother, a basement with untold evils, and having to mutate himself, just to get away from his abusive mother! That's horrible, although the game tackles a heavy topic like abuse, it still brings an odd charm, if you'll be so lenient to have me use that term. It's a fun indie game, and it's one of the few indie games I own, that I REALLY enjoy, though to be honest, I haven't played all of the indie games I own, this has become one of my favorite games from Steam! Top-Down view, "shooter" if you will. (If you consider using your tears to dispatch your enemies. Now, on to the categories!

Graphics: 10/10
Now, this may be shocking, and I do see your shock in this rating... But, they have focused on making it a smooth and great environment. It's simplicity makes it work, and other indie games, make the visuals worse, as part of the game, games like Minecraft, and other pixel based games. This game, doesn't do that. It has great detail, and often, you have to notice some slight things in the environment, for clues about stuff like the hidden rooms. (Which hold money, upgrades, or other random items.) The fires are scattered everywhere, and they are really well-designed. The bricks, the explosion animations... Oh! I could go on, and on, and on... But do I need to? I think you guys can figure out that I really enjoy these graphics, even if they aren't as flashy as the brand new games, with exotic backdrops...

Sound: 7/10
This is one area I'm not a huge fan of. The sounds are alright... and as with many other games, I don't particularly enjoy the soundtrack. I have an odd taste with music... and this game, has an okay soundtrack, but I'd rather stream some spotify while playing it. The other sounds are more or less just buzzing, growls, the occasional "ISAAC!" from your mother. Splashes, other simple sounds, nothing special here... No cool, :Foos Roh Dahs" here. No dragons... Spec Ops The Line

A Typical shooter you think?
How do you make this game sound awesome without spoiling the ending? Getting past the typical shooter elements, it's amazing. It has many of the third-person shooters great, but it's not your typical shooter... You really have to watch out though, since it starts messing with you about a third of the way through. Some things start to seem odd, but why? I guess you'll just have to play this awesome game! SPEC OPS: THE LINE. The best desert third-person shooter I know.

Graphics: I'm giving a 10 of 10. The reason it should get this high rating is that despite my laptop not being the best ever, it looks amazing. The way the sand reacts, is just realistic. I've been in the desert, and it feels exactly like the game makes it... (Maybe a little exaggerated, since it doesn't actually have that much storming... But, while that may be odd, it's something that is used in the gameplay. This makes the environment a key gameplay element. I know this is only kind of graphics... But, you know, the thing that'll really blow your mind is the opening. You start out using a Gattling Gun from a Helicopter. If anything will make you feel like your in Delta Force, it'll be taking down helicopters, as the opening. (Spoiler-ish report?) But, you have to be careful, pay attention, the entire game, will haunt you... (Spoiler-ish report?) You'll know what I'm talking about if you've ever played this masterpiece!

Sound: 8/10
Reasoning for this is that although, good, I don't really feel it's something new, you've heard the M4/M16 (Fancy titles for the same rifle.) But, what makes it cool, is that they aren't making the game about being different, you feel secure, same sounds as most shooters. Same old, same old, right? Well, only partially. (Skip the next little paragraph to avoid anything getting spoiled.)
Looking at this? Well, good. The "secure" feeling is key, since they don't change the sound, and the voice actors sound like most gam... Read the rest of this Review
Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Humans Revolting?
Augmentations are rampant! Detroit is now more of a Dystopian style city. You guess right, it's the future! Join me as we tour the streets of the Cyberpunk Detroit. This is Eidos and Square Enix's Deus Ex prequel. Join Adam Jensen as he battles for the Augmented people in the epic struggle between the Cyborg and Purist mentality! Do you have what it takes to battle the enemy?

Graphics: The game has a unique style. I already said this, but ti's a Cyberpunk style game. The design is cool and fits the mood of the game. The graphics are interesting because of the unique animations for Jensen. I like the way they animated him to be the ultimate persona of all of the Augmented humans. But, the game isn't without flaw... The one thing that bugged me, knowing that better was possible, was the cut-scene movements. Hands, feet, walking, jumping-- These are some things that they could have done better, but that's minor, the game is still awesome! Namely, the guns, and the detail in-game. The cut-scenes and the in-game graphics seem the same, which makes the game better than many. (As, many do a better job of cut-scenes and they leave the game looking terrible.)
The game has one thing that could have been better... So it only get a 9/10.

Sound: The sound really has the futuristic feel. If anything makes or breaks a game, it's the soundtrack. This one has a good soundtrack, but it is again, one of those ones that sounds better when you're playing the game. Now, sound is vital, if you choose to go Stealth mode. Although not required, stealth is encouraged. You can run and gun, but that isn't the point of the game, and if you play it stealthily, you get more points. So, since stealth is encouraged, sound is essential. You need to make sure that you keep the noise level low, the accuracy high, and the cool factor above the point that can be measured! Oh, yeah, and the voice acting is good too. Adam Jensen's voice is really low and gruff, but it suits the cha... Read the rest of this Review
Sniper: Ghost Warrior

Sniping Ghost Warriors
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a Sniper? This game captures that feeling. Stealth, Thought, and Accuracy! One shot, one kill! (Or two if you good enough.) Do you have what it takes to become a world-class sniper? Can you overthrow the Isla Trueno militants? Are you going to be the Sniper: Ghost Warrior?

Grahpics: The jungle environments are briliantly designed! The bushes are cover, hide, and make sure that you take out the people in your way quietly! They can be killed by running around carelessly, but that brings other guards to the area, making your mission difficult. They have done a good job with these guards! Each one is design with realistic guerrilla fighter looks. The people (City Interactive) who designed this game, did a good job with almost everything! The cut-scenes are just as good as the game, which is something I really like! If you are wanting to become the ultimate Sniper, make sure to make the shot, take cover, and just have a blast!
The graphics are amazing! Especially for a first-person Shooter. 10/10.

Sound: The voice acting is okay, but it's not terrible. But that's not the gem in this game. The gun sounds are what is cool! The Silencers are more accurate than I have ever seen in Video Games. As it really is a Suppressor, not Silencer, but that's a technicality. As this is a stealth game, you do have to make sure that you use either knives, a pistol, the sniper rifle. (All of those are silenced.) But, what about the songs? Well, I do like the music, in-game, but outside of it, I don't really like it too much. I had problems liking it, because  it's a little to techno for me, but it does add to the suspense needed to create an effective stealth game. The game changes the sound when you get spotted, adding to the awesomeness of it, as you really get nervous, because you don't want an all firefight!
I really like the sounds, especially the suppressed guns! I give the sound a 9/10.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
04-15-15 07:46 AM
The force remains strong with this game!
Have you ever wanted to feel what it would be like to struggle between the light and dark side? Ever wanted to destroy the Sith? The Jedi? Are you a Dark Lord at heart? Well, this LucasArts masterpiece has a little of everything for everyone! Let's go through the galaxy in this classic Space Opera, the predecessor of the great choice orientated awesomeness! Become friends with your companions, kill the assassin, and figure out what you are doing! Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, published by LucasArts. Join me and we can rule the Galaxy together!

Graphics: The graphics have aged nicely! Especially considering that it has better graphics then some games currently have. It's incredible how good the cut-scenes are, but the cut-scenes seem to have the same detail in the actual game! That gives the nostalgic game a great thing for the newer generations! The dust from your space-craft falling is done with detail, the invisibility is done with the same accuracy! The game is just the best out there! I give it a 10/10 for not focusing too much on graphics, but they didn't brush it off to the side either! That is what makes it so great!
KOTOR II has awesome graphics... They aged well. For that, I give it a 10/10.

Sound: Star Wars! That really should be enough to tell you how awesome it is, but I can't write a review like that. The soundtracks keep the original feeling from Star Wars, while remaining unique in the many games and movies that have been released. Many of the same themes have been used in the games that followed KOTOR. Specifically it has been used in Star Wars: The Old Republic. That is just how good they made the songs. All original, all keep the same galactic feel, and all of them build the game's awesomeness! (Mark Griskey is the best!) You just have to respect what they did with the game.
Keeps the feel, keeps the uniqueness. 9/10!

Would you Kindly...?
"A man chooses, a Slave obeys..." You will hear that during the game, but you will hear the words, "Would you kindly" more often. Be careful at those words. And, choose carefully, you could end up making the wrong choice. You can do all you want to, but each choice can affect the game, to make a possible of three outcomes. This decision based FPS game is just one of three decision based awesome games, and this one takes you to the amazing city called Rapture. This underground Utopia failure has become a nightmare for a place. It is under the control of Andrew Ryan. Just heed his advice... It could lead to disaster!

Graphics: Brilliant. It's amazing, the water appears on the screen, and you want to wipe off the drips, but they won't disappear! It's just so realistic, it's amazing! The gun even has smoke coming out after shooting it. This isn't your ordinary smoke either, it's realistic, and it interacts with the environment like you would expect smoke to do. That makes it one of the best graphics in FPS games ever. What's more, you have great character models. The big daddies are brilliantly designed mech things. That is something that few games ever get quite right. I just wish I could get you guys to understand that the graphics are amazing! Everything, the 1940-60 style design, the guns, the water, people, and fire! It's just done perfectly!
It's one amazing graphic FPS style game! 10/10!

Sound: The Phonographs are nice. What is that you ask? Do your history research, kids. It's what they used before the computer age! It's a clunky old Record player. But, they have captured the idea of it! The sound is like it would be if we walked into a 1950s bedroom! That is truly hard to achieve! But the sounds go beyond that, there is dialogue, which has been masterfully written and acted out. The voice actors took their roles seriously enough to make it authenti... Borderlands 2
03-31-15 09:00 AM
There's trouble on the Borderlands!
Gather around, now, the first rule of this tour is that all tourists MUST stay close to the bounty hunter accompanying us... If you don't, well, we'll just leave that to the imagination of the people. First watch this video so we are all familiar with what this land is all about: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzZ8YtuiVD4 Enjoy it! Well, now we all know how the rest of the tour will be. Take the guns out, level up your character, and watch out for those Psychos!

Borderlands 2, is the most realistic shooter ever... Okay, maybe not. But it is awesome! You have a very unique game, as it's a First-person Shooter, but it's also an RPG. But it's more than just a shooter or an RPG, it's artistic! The game is designed like a cartoon for adults. A gritty, colorful, and weird place. The enemies are bizarre and out-of-this world! The guns, oh the guns! They are most likely the best I've ever seen in a game. You have so much variety packed into one game of almost pure awesomeness! Now, lets gather in the armored tour bus, and get the Gatling gun fired up! It's Borderlands 2 time!

Graphics: I mentioned this already. It was designed with a cartoon in mind. That gives it one of the most unique designs out there. But, don't let the cartoon be a negative, it just adds to the games atmosphere! Which, is amazing. You have bizarre and over-the-top characters, and the designs show that. The enemies are all nuts! I mean, look at the name one the guys have. Boom, or Psycho, or Midget Shotgun... Who has a name like that? But, that's not all. You have Claptrap... But, I will describe him more in sound... His design is really interesting. A robot, with eyes, and arms, but he looks like a box, on a wheel. But even the buildings are design with the same style and feel as the rest of the game. Crisp, cartoon, and awesome! But let's not leave out a main feature, the characters! They are cool, and they look exactly like the ones in the opening cinematic. Which ad... Civilization V: Complete Edition

V Civilizations
Gather Strategists, Diplomats, and Warmongers! You strategists can use strategy, you Diplomats can use Diplomacy, and you Warmongers can use .... ? Never mind. There are so many ways to play this awesome Turn-based strategy game! You can just research, or just grow your city, spy on your worst enemies, or you can just go outright, beast mode and have a militaristic nation, you control all of it! This Sid Meyer's Civilization V is one of the best in the franchise, with many awesome things you will soon discover! (Read on!)

Graphics: What makes this game so involving? Is it just the strategy and building a nation? No, it can't be just the gameplay, or anything else! It goes beyond that, the graphics are one of the many things that make this game good, and one of the best is graphics. What makes it so incredible is the animation models. One of the coolest things is the amount of detail put into each building. When you zoom into the landscape you can see the sheer amount of detail they put into each and every little thing! It's just incredible. And if you don't believe me, you must really not like the Real-Time Strategy view, because it's one of the best I've seen in a game!
Although it is really amazing, it didn't blow me away so instead of a 10, it gets a 9/10!

Sound: How does 1:12:07 music time sound? (Hr. min. sec.) That's a lot of music, especially for a game! And, while they didn't have Baba Yetu, they did have a good song choice! It's still in the same style of all the other songs, but I like the orchestral feel better! The kind of feeling and style is just nice. But Civilization goes beyond just the songs... What about the "battle" and voices? Well, they are also superb! And, while they didn't have Leonard Nimroy, it is still superb! (RIP Spock form Star Trek!) The voice they used isn't quite as well known as this icon, but he did a good job. But, who is he? William Morhan Sheppard... Look him up if you will... The languages also soun... Tom Clancy\'s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Future Soldiers become Ghosts
Have you been looking for a really good Third-person shooter? A Stealth, action game? How about a shooter with awesome mechanics? Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier meets all of this, and much more! Third-person shooters are rare, and one that does it right is even harder to find, but this game hit every single part of the requirements and blew all of it out of the water! Do you want to disappear? You can actually do that! Want to tell your team what guy to shoot? How about a synchronized take down? Well, that's here too! Keep your head low with this Tactical, Stealth, Action, Third-person shooter!

Graphics: How do you make someone be seen, but invisible? Is that even possible? I say, yes! This game gets the principle with accuracy. So, what does this invisible, visible look like? A see through blur, is how I would describe it! But, that's not all the game has to offer. Would you play a game just because of that? I wouldn't. It's graphics are amazing! The dust that flies as the bullets miss, the animations for each enemy, and just the sheer detail put into each and every piece of the environment, that's why I like this game! But, you also have several other things, which I will let you find out from the game... I wouldn't want to give you all there is about the game, it's just something you have to see for yourself!  But the Circular white things that are around the guns and grenades, etc, are just weird, but it does have a better feel than does the customary grenade warning.
With amazing clarity, and invisibility
10/10
BOOM! Watch out for that... oops, too late. Well, I told you to keep your head down! The sound really draws you in! What I found was especially awesome was the sound of the crunching materials under your feet! It's not only a good sound, it's almost too realistic! Get the image to be in 3D and your almost in the game itself! The guns, and the explosions are awesome! I just can't wait for ... Read the rest of this Review
Urban Trial Freestyle
03-02-15 03:15 PM
There are Freestyle Trials in Urban areas!
Have you ever felt like doing a back-flip on a motorcycle? Well, you are right, it's dangerous, but not if you use this game. You can front-flip, back-flip, fly several hundred feet, try to land precisely, or just race against the track master, it's your choice! I can tell you how hard it is to be the track master, but once your there, it takes a while before you are dethroned as king, because it's hard to beat those guys who just beat you by a mile. Race me in this Urban Trial!

Graphics: This is a 2D game, that wants to be an almost 3D game. Why do I say that? Well, the camera angle isn't exactly at 90 degrees from the biker, who is you. This means that it's a little odd. But once you get used to it it's fine. The graphics are good, once you get used to the weird camera angles. The graphics are precise, but they could be a lot better. It really come across average. But they did have good detail on the clothes you where, but you have to save up for that. (I'll talk about that later.) The motorcycle is also good, especially the tires. When the tires start spinning it gives a real feel to it, it feels as though the tires are really spinning, the dirt is really flying, but since the graphics are all around average it doesn't seem quite right. But I would really say that it's just a nice visual style, especially for what the game is.
Although the graphics aren't the best, it's still not bad. I give it an 8/10.

Sound: This is where the game starts to feel a little repetitive... The music is not my style so I almost immediately turned it off. The motorcycle sounds realistic, but it just gets old after a while; the sound doesn't change when you upgrade your motor, and this makes it get old after 5 tracks. There are people talking, but this usually consists of them talking about the dangers of you driving in the current place you are. So that makes it also get old. Tate Multimedia took many sounds and made the realistic, but they didn't go ... Read the rest of this Review

Walk through Walls with the Portal
"Chell, Chell, WAKE UP! It's test time! Go through this door!" GLaDOS says *Robotic Voice* Oh, oops... That was a little weird... Okay, you came here to read about a game? Well, jump through this Portal to find the brilliant game of Portal. Valve's test game/ masterpiece, is just around the corner now! But let me warn you, Don't get this game full price, it's short, so you want to get a good deal for it! Oh, you finally came through the portal! Here, grab this Portal Gun and follow me. I'll lead you through this puzzle.

Graphics: The graphics are amazing! You see that greenish water below? DON'T LEAN OVER! That's poison. Isn't it done beautifully? What? You don't like the Sewer Water? Oh, all right... Enough with Roll play... The graphics are just amazing. Each Panel and every molecule is just amazing and it's no wonder, as this is a Mod of Half-Life 2. It's a fun remake, but it focuses more on Mechanics and Puzzles than on Graphics... But that doesn't make the graphics terrible... It just makes it slightly worse than the rating could have been. The water I mentioned early on is okay from the outside, but if you fall in, you begin to see some of the problems that occur. It becomes a clear fluid, and has slight green tints here and there... But that's about the only thing that seems odd. The guns, the glass, the portals, the visuals, just everything is beautiful!
You smell that beautiful poison smell? Ah, oh, wait... Smell doesn't count... How about a 9/10 for Graphics?

Sound: Okay, this is what the games seems to lack in. There are so few sounds during the entire game... You walk, jump and GLaDOS talks, but that's about it, outside of a few "soundtracks" thrown in here and there. But it's all made good by the song at the end, "Still Alive"  Aperature Science... I am Still Alive...  The most awesome sound there is in the game has to be the gun! I just love the deep, Thunk like sound it makes! But it's hard to desc... Read the rest of this Review
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
02-26-15 10:27 AM
You Counter-Strike the Terror!
Did you ever feel angry about Terror attacks? Are you a tactical mind? This is the game for those people! You can play as the Terrorists, or the Counter-Terrorists. You must cooperate with your team in order to take out the bomb, rescue hostages, or just do a war of attrition. Eliminate all enemy threats! With accurate game models, real tactics, and good team play, it's your game, and you are to take out the terror threat in your area!

Graphics: Many have heard about the free-to-play version of Counter-Strike, but this one has MUCH better graphics, even though it is older than that version. I couldn't believe how amazing it looked when I first booted the game up. The guns have realistic animations, and when the clips are getting removed it's realistic and it also has the real loading animations down with amazing accuracy! I just love everything they did with the game. From the smoke of the barrel, to the detail on the arm, it's just awesome, I really can't find a much better word for it!
With the amazing crispness of the game to the detail, it's a 10/10.

Sound: Well, this is also a strong suit of the game. The guns have different sounds, the pistol sounds different from the Rifle, sounds different from the Sniper Rifle, etc. You should get the point. The different "class" of gun has it's unique sound. But don't think that the sound stops there. The voices used for each guy is also good. One really cool thing about the voices are that they are almost real. I don't know a lot of the languages, but I do think they sound real. The German is authentic, and the Arabic sounds the same to me. (But then again, I don't speak Arabic.) It's just incredible. They don't have much variation in their speech, but it is at least real! Now, when you walk it makes sound! (I know, that sounds stupid.) The sounds change though, based on the material you are walking on. If you are on a stone walkway, it sounds like you are walking on a stone walkway. Wood... Read the rest of this Review
Medal of Honor: Airborne

Airborne Attack!
Men dropping from the sky! What could this mean? Well, I would say it indicates the Second World War. Join the Airborne Elite in this Medal of Honor shooter. You are the best American Soldier on all the battlefields you play on, destroy the tanks, eliminate enemy Snipers hiding up in the vantage points, and explode all of the Targeted items. You are the only one who can destroy these, you have the fate of the entire Airborne program in your hands, all you need to do is win!

Graphics: Well, the game has high requirements for an FPS game, but don't let this fool you. It has a few minor glitches,  but only one that I could see. Despite this, the tanks look real, the guns have a realistic gleam to them. Really the amount of detail in this game is incredible, but your probably wondering why I mentioned that glitch, but first, what is it? Well, have you ever seen someone run, and have their leg go through their other leg? That's what the glitch is. But, this only happens when they RUN, if they walk or are standing, it's realistic and it looks amazing! I love the good explosions, the smoke from the guns, and just the overall realistic terrain design. It looks just like I imagine a WWII battlefield to look.
Realistic graphics, cool explosions, and one minor glitch? This deserves a 9/10. I don't view the glitch as too much of a deduction here.

Sound: German? What, it's almost completely accurate! I am fluent in German, and I have to say, it sounds real! The "Krauts" (What the Germans were called in the Second World War.) only say a few words, but if it sounds real, that's pretty good. How about clanking metal, when you eject the clip from your M1 Garand? This and the tanks screeching by, as you cower in cover, not wanting to reveal your location to the Tiger tank! What can you do to kill this monster? Well, play the game... But I'm getting side-tracked. The guns, the grenades, the explosions, the screaming, Oh, how I wish I could just c... Batman: Arkham Asylum
01-22-15 07:09 AM
Lets Visit Arkham Asylum!
You want to feel like Batman? Have you ever wondered what else Mark Hamil (Jedi Knight, Luke Skywalker) would sound like as a Bad guy? Well, this is the one to answer this question. This game, Batman: Arkham Asylum, is the critically acclaimed Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Masterpiece! Every sight that gave a rating on this game, gave almost full scores! I will try to do this awesomeness justice!

Graphics: The Unreal Engine has great Graphics! All games with it are amazing! Batman: Arkham Asylum is no different from that standard! The animations are realistic, but they keep the Dark Comic Book feel! The character designs are brilliant! With a precise animation style on everything, from the guards, the bosses like Harley Quinn and Joker, to Batman, all have the same standard, which is VERY high! The cape on Batman doesn't have any flaws, like hanging to him, or moving independently from him. It moves as you move Batman, this sounds simple, until you take a look at some great games, like Assassin's Creed I. This game has no substandard designs! It doesn't beat Skyrim in design and Graphics, but rather, it ties, in my opinion! It may seem odd to compare the two, but even my off-the-assembly-line computer, it's a brilliant design.
I may not have said much, I compared it to other games with Great Graphics. But, this game has AMAZING graphics, I can't say that enough! 10/10.

Sound: Creepiness. A new word to use here. This game has the sounds that keep the suspense high! This game doesn't have a reputation for a dark game for no reason. The voices are really well done. In the intro, I mentioned that they brought in Mark Hamil... You know, Luke from the original Star Wars movies! But, through out his tender and  kind voice, throw in an immeasurable amount of creepy and that's what his voice sounds like! Batman doesn't have the gruff voice like in the Movies, and he doesn't say, "I'm Batman!" But, don't make that a negative point! T... Read the rest of this Review

Graphics: The graphics are some of the best I have in a Steam game! They have crisp graphics, with realistic lightning, a well done Orb that represents Force Push! You can change your Costume to be almost any Star Wars character, at least the ones I can think of. (You can't be Jabba the Hutt, but why would you want to?) These Costumes are designed and executed in a precise and brilliant way! One thing I found odd, is if you use the Lightning, there are some minor glitches, but these don't happen often, and it may just be because of my computer... Although my computer doesn't have a good graphics card, the game is still as crisp as ever!
Because of the Cristal Clear Graphics! I grant the graphics the great 9/10.

Sound: Have you ever wondered what it would sound like when you Push something with the Force. (Assuming that you could "Use the Force?" Well, let me tell you about it! The Whoosh of a powerful wave of a wall coming at you sounds just like a Whoosh! How about that Buzz, sound from the lightning? Or the Slashing of the Lightsaber? All of these sounds have been perfected in this Star Wars Masterpiece. They took some hints about songs from the Original movies, and they have created quite a few original pieces! The songs are great, as most Star Wars games' songs. The sounds are awesome, what else can I say?
How about a drum roll for this score? ....... *drum* ...... 9/10!

Addictiveness: Do you think it's fun to just annihilate everything? Well, with Star Wars the Force Unleashed you can! You really have the command to kill everything in your path, be it Jed... Read the rest of this Review
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
01-08-15 03:39 PM
Only one Knight in the Old Republic?
Spoiler: The game is awesome! Do you enjoy the mystery of figuring out who you are? In this BioWare masterpiece you have no clue exactly who you are. You can't remember much of your past, this complicates things, doesn't it? With a heavy choice orientated system, that is intricately construction, you are in control of almost everything. In the best-selling Star Wars game, anything is possible!

Graphics: Although the graphics haven't held up as good as other Star Wars games like Republic Commando or Battlefront, the graphics aren't the worst in games. I do think that they did a good job, especially during combat the graphics don't lag or have any issues, it's more of a visual thing. It seems like an improved version of an N64 game. But don't get me wrong, the graphics are still good, just not the best. I don't care about graphics that much, but still, the game has relatively good graphics. To be specific, the graphics aren't formed with the same sized triangles as in the N64 games, but they are still in that direction. Instead of big triangular structures making up the people, they are in things like the clothes. But, they aren't noticeable unless you look at the game critically.
The games graphics are pretty good! The buildings are smooth, and they were able to get the clothes pretty good, but they didn't hold up as much. Although it seems like I rate everything with this score, I give it an ... *drum-roll* 8/10!

Sound: Okay, has anyone guessed it yet? I LOVE STAR WARS! Especially the music. The musical producer did a good job, and sadly, I don't know his name. But, the game keeps the Star Wars music feel with a full 10! Sadly, I can't rate it for sticking with the original soundtrack from Star Wars. The voice acting is good, and the sounds made from blasters are good. But, they bring the rating down. (That's why I said that there.) The sounds aren't the best, but still, they (BioWare) did a good job! I would give it a higher ... Read the rest of this Review

I will be Mining and Crafting!
You know about this game, I would be surprised if you have never heard of this mind-blowingly popular indie game. If you can imagine it in your head, figure out the Crafting Table, and gather the blocks, you can build anything you picture! Although I got help from a friend, I am still trying to get things done without asking for extra resources. It's easy to get anything, you just have to be patient enough and mine down far enough to get it. I wanted to get some lava, and I dug down to the bedrock, heard the lava, dug up, and I found Gold, Diamonds, and Redstone, without trying to find it! This game has so much you can do, without making it repetitive or boring.

Graphics: I give it such a high rating, because the graphics were designed to look this way! The graphics allow you to build anything you put and think of. If you want to build the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, or recreate a movie house, you can do just that. If it weren't for the graphics, none of that would be possible. Everything is comprised of blocks, even the blocks have smaller blocks making it in the shape it's in. Lava, Water, Stone and everything else, are all blocks. But, don't let this make you turn away from the game. It's graphics are not the real seller of the game, it's the possibilities! Watching someone build something can be boring, and if you didn't play the demo or the full game, it seems a little stupid, mostly because of the graphics, but once you play it yourself, all skepticism is gone!
The graphics seem odd at first glance, but they are actually the thing that makes the game possible. I give it a 10/10.

Sound: Sound is essential in this game, if you didn't have sound, you wouldn't know if you dug close to water, lava, or something like that. If your pick-axe breaks, it makes a certain sound. Maybe you don't think the sound is that good, but I wouldn't have been able to create some cool things without the sound, because I would have been diggin... Read the rest of this Review
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Fus-Ro-Dah---It's Skyrim!
How do you describe one of the biggest games ever created? If you see it, you can go there. Level up, fight enormous Dragons, and kill the king Dragon, who is terrorizing all of Skyrim. You are Dragon Born, which has been prophesied, you are mixed in with Criminals, but you are the one who will save Skyrim. Join me as we discuss The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim!

Graphics: The graphics are just that good. I am blown away at how good they are. They are actually the best graphics I've seen in a game. Even on my junk off-the-assembly-line computer, the graphics are amazing! There are such details in everything, it's just incredible. The fire effects are realistic, the snow on the mountains look like someone just pasted a real mountain into the game. There is a reason that this is the that takes over your life! This screenshot I took doesn't do the game justice, because my computer has problems loading things that fade in the background. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=364471046 All of this to say, THE GAME JUST HAS SOME OF THE BEST GRAPHICS EVER!!!
The graphics are flawless! I give it a full 10/10.

Sound: I love the sound effects. The dragon shouts are great, the combat has realistic sounds, everything is just perfect. I listened to the theme song from Skyrim, and I just love it! The orchestral sounds are flawless! The game captures all of the Nordic cultural stereotypes (Positive ones) and puts it into one song! The developers for the game had to create an entire language just for the song, and some VERY small parts of the game. That is just incredible. The amount of work alone should show how good it is, but that still leaves much up to the imagination. I was expecting a lot from the game, and especially with music and other sounds, it the best!
Again, a full 10/10!

Addictiveness: With unending amounts of side quests, a main story, guilds, skills, shouts, spells and MANY other things, thi... Read the rest of this Review
Sid Meier\'s Civilization IV
12-25-14 08:13 AM
Build your own Civilization (IV)
It's a cool feeling. Building your own Country from scratch. You control every aspect of the Civilizations growth. It's challenging, fun, and new. There are few games which match this feel! Civilization IV is a brilliant game! Sadly, I haven't been able to check out all of the DLC, expansions... I have only gotten to the Base game. Still, the game is really amazing. It's a turn-based strategy game, where you need to build, growth of your culture, country (boarders), economy, military, and religion. This proves challenging, when you need to do this, while keeping up with other Civilizations and keeping the barbarians from evading. This and much more awaits you in this masterpiece.

Graphics: The graphics are very good, but they have some things that could be better. But, considering that the game was made in 2005, the graphics are impressive! Each unit from each Civilization has it's own unique form, uniform etc. This makes the game cool! The trees in the game are done with great care, the water is good, you can zoom up close to the Troop, or City and the game handles this very well. The graphics are very good, especially for a game that is 9 years old.
I give the graphics a 9/10.

Sound: The sound in the game is really awesome! This is one of the songs from this game: www.youtube.com/watch?v=17svtURunUk I really love the soundtracks from here. As you advance through the ages you get different songs, which gives the game a nice feel, and you are kept interested, because there are no repetitive songs going on in this game. There are few sounds other than the songs, but what there is, was done very good. I love every aspect of the sounds! *Starts Singing "Baba Yetu" *
The sounds made for Civilization IV is really good! Sound gets a 10/10.

Addictiveness: This game is hard to stop. Read other reviews, they talk about how they start in the morning, and puff, there went 9 hours. This isn't an exaggeration. The game is ... Read the rest of this Review
Age of Empires III
12-23-14 06:49 AM
There are III Ages for Empires.
Have you ever felt like taking over the New World while in the Colonial Time Period? This game, makes you feel like the World is in your hands, as you can play through this game with realistic environments, historically accurate troops and a town which you construct! This and much more awaits you in Age of Empires III, the last installment of the Age of Empires Trilogy. (The DLC/ Expansions don't count as separate games.) Join me as we discuss Microsoft's final Age of Empires game!

Graphics: As you should expect, the graphics in Age of Empires III (AoE III) is much better than AoE II HD and the previous games. The ground's texture is done with great detail, and great care for realism. Each unit also seems much more impressive than in any previous game. If I were to constrict the review to just Age of Empires III, I would say, "It's amazing!" They took great care for each detail, improving the environments in every map, creating a feel as though you are going into uncharted areas, settling them, and taking out the opposing settlers from other European countries. This makes the game fun, because you get to see everything happen with great clarity, because of the great graphics!
I give the game a 9/10 for graphics.

Sound: The sounds are really good as well. The languages from each country are real. They make it sound as though the people are actually native speakers of each country. That makes the game feel more realistic, as you have authentic voice acting. The music, as with other AoE games, it also good. I didn't pay too much attention to the music, as I was really involved, but I can say this. The music is good, but in the background, where it belongs. In Real Time Strategy games, Music could distract and even make you lose, as you aren't paying attention. The guns, cannons, and any weapon also has good sound. This Age of Empires game, doesn't have the same technology as in previous games. There are now guns for every colony. Making it h... Read the rest of this Review
Cabela\'s Big Game Hunter 2010
12-22-14 02:56 PM
Hunting big with Cabela!
You want to go big in hunting? Are you too lazy to get outside and hunt the animals? Or, are you just scared of the Jaguars you could hunt? All of the above? That's fine. This is the game for you! You are trying to enter a hunting club/ order thing. To do this, you need to hunt the animals they tell you to. Simple enough. Join me as we discuss your career as a big game hunter!

Graphics: The game has worse graphics than other Wii games I have. But, it has good graphics still. There are minor problems with the textures in the grass, trees, and various other things, but the animals are almost flawless! There are no issues with the shape, texture, movement, or anything else. Although the Wii isn't known for good graphics. (That's the entire reason for the Wii U.) None of the games have an HD style, but this games does well, considering the reputation they have. I am still impressed with the game, but not because of the graphics!
The game has okay graphics at best, but that's still okay. I give it a 7/10.

Sound: The game has good sound, and they even found a way to make sound important to gameplay. If you touch the little pieces of wood on the ground, it can alert the animals, making the hunt be impossible. (This is also a game over, but don't worry, you can restart it from the beginning of the part you failed.) There is no music, but that's typical for a hunting game, because it would distract, and concentration is needed for the hunt. It really has good sound, even down to each animal, all sounds are realistic and cool!
I give the game a 9/10 for sound.

Addictiveness: The game is really fun to play. There are medals to earn for each kill/ hunt. You get new guns for each medal you improve. (Up to a certain point.) There are challenges, which are really fun to do. The game is addictive, I reset the game twice, so I could unlock everything again. This should show how fun I found the game. There is also a mode to play with fri... Read the rest of this Review
Mario Kart Wii

Grab your friends! It's Mario Kart!
Grab up to three of your friends to test your skills in the ultimate battle! You can play as virtually any Mario Character. (Only the ones in the actual games, and no Gumpas are not counted under that description...) Choose your Character, kart, and track and battle to the death for ultimate race track domination! Join me as I review the great Mario Kart Wii!

Graphics: The Nintendo Wii isn't one of the best consoles out there, especially when it comes down to graphics, but surprisingly, Mario Kart Wii has good graphics. I didn't have any complaints, and I even enjoy the graphics, style and everything! They took many classic tracks, made them look cool and even found some way to improve several elements. The textures in the Grass, Sand, Water, Cement, and anything else, is really great! The tracks look amazing, especially when compared to other Wii games! The Wheels turn realistically, the head of the character moves, with no problems, there is no problem with the graphics! It's realistic, and fun!
I give the game a 9/10 for graphics. Although good, It's not the best out there either.

Sound: The sounds are really cool, but it can get annoying if you play the tracks for a few hours, with little pause. After how many hours I've invested into the game, I don't get annoyed, and I really love the themes for most tracks! (I say most, because there are some soundtracks that I'm not overly fond of.) The Engines of the karts are also good in sound, and they captured every element of the kart tire sounds! I really found no problem with the sound! I give it a slightly lower rating, because some tracks could get annoying, and this takes a few points off...
I give the game a 9/10 for sound. (I know, same rating as above.)

Addictiveness: You want to talk about addictive? This game takes the cake here! Few games can get a full score, because as much as I love most of my games, none get as addictive as Mario Kart. If you have friends, t... Read the rest of this Review
Empire: Total War
12-21-14 12:13 PM
There's War in the Empire!
Empire: Total War, a Real Time Strategy game, is awesome. That's the short review, but I'll continue to tell you about it. You are the commander of several units, some of which are American Colonists, and several European countries. There are three main campaigns, multiplayer, and several strategies to beat the game, it is also regarded as one of the best Real Time Strategy (RTS) games out there. I will try to do the game justice, but I'm afraid that I will make it look worse than it is, because I won't be able to describe it's awesomeness.

Graphics: At first, you are treated to great cut-scenes, which are rare in strategy games, and they are done very accurately. The detail in that is amazing, you also have good in-game graphics, which should be normal, but if you look at all the angles you can view the battlefront at, it's amazing. No other game lets you look at your troops at 360°. This makes Empire: Total War special. The detail is in everything, even water. You can fight naval battles, and the ships, the guns, everything is done great. The water is animated with realistic movements, which is hard to do at all, but they mastered it. To name the developers, which I assume no one knows, The Creative Assembly. They really amaze me with the detail in just the graphics!
I give the graphics a 9/10, because the graphics are amazing, but they didn't blow me away.

Side Note: This doesn't really fit into the graphics section. You have complete control of every angle the camera goes. You can turn, move forwards, backwards, up and down. This gives the game different views, which could turn the tide of the battle, if you use this correctly. This is also something unique to the Total War series.

Sound: The music is cool. It isn't original, but the music selections are great. The loading screen music fits the time period, which many games fail to accomplish. The music fades in the background once you begin to play, so I didn... Read the rest of this Review
Tom Clancy\'s Splinter Cell
12-18-14 03:21 PM
The Splintered Cell
Stealth is the name of the game. (Okay, Not literally...) You are Sam Fisher, a returning NSA operative. You have been recruited to the Black Ops division, Third Echelon. You can go in just shooting wildly, but it is actually meant to be played with little shooting, and lots of take-downs. (Stealth take-downs specifically.) This is the game that almost did happen, but I am happy it worked!

Graphics: For a game made in the year 2003 it has amazing graphics. There are a few things that seem odd, but it's 2003. I've played games made later with worse graphics. Not only are they good for a game from the year, but they have held up VERY well. There are crisp colors, good animations, realistic movements, and great textures in the scenes. It's really remarkable. If you haven't played it, you most likely don't know how good it looks, but still, you should get the idea that for a game this old, it's one of the best graphics of the year.
I give the game a 9/10 for graphics.

Sound: Good Voice Acting, realistic gun sounds, and most importantly, noise you make. It's all there, and it's important to stay low, and make little to no sound. This is hard, because sometimes you need to run to get over a gap, or something, but noise makes the guards spot you. It's not a stealth game for nothing, as they captured the entire sound idea with amazing detail. The voice acting has conviction behind it. (I'll explain what I mean by that.) They talk as though what was happening was really happening. They make all of the instructions clear, but with good intonations, grammar, and realistic tones. Overall the sound is amazing!
Although the sound is awesome, it wasn't the best I've heard, so I give it a 9/10.

Addictiveness: Do you like playing a game your own way? Well, that's pretty much a stealth game. They suggest ways that you can play it, but you don't have to play it that way. That's what makes this game fun; play the way you feel like playing.... Read the rest of this Review
Worms Armageddon
11-30-14 02:11 PM
Armageddon has Come!
Worms Armageddon, the classic Team 17 Turn-based Strategy game. This has some great tactical fun for the entire family. This game has some of the smartest humor in games. I played it with my older brother years ago, and had a blast, even when I failed, why? Because the game is just that good. There's no story, little customization, but all the fun. There is a reason there have been so many Worms games. This is one of the first they have done, and it has set the bar for each game VERY high. This game is hard to review, because it really depends on who you play it with, because it's something that is hard to review, I will be trying my best, but in no way, will it be the best.

Graphics: The graphics in this game are interesting. They have done a good job, but this isn't the best. But that doesn't make the game bad. It's one of those games that was done well, but not the best ever. It's a 2D game, so it is a little harder to see, but this is still good. The land makes the game more fun. Inside the land are some interesting things, but each map seems a little different. They embed several things in the map, oil barrels, mines, and the decorative things that are actually in the land. You can create some maps, but the textures are usually selected at random, although you can still customize the type of texture, otherwise known as the theme of the map.
The game has good graphics, but they are nowhere near the best in games. It has that retro feel that everyone loves. (Especially people here.) I give it an 8/10.

Sound: This is where the game comes through. The sounds are odd at first, but if you like light-hearted games, this is the one for you. The speech is unique, and really creative. My recollections of this game are all in German, but the same lines are given in the English version. The bazooka has awesome sounds, and what makes this game unique is the weapon choice, but I'll go into the actual weapons later. Right now, I'll just... Read the rest of this Review

Mission 13: Polis Masa

Note: This mission is hard, choose the Engineer unless I say to choose something else. It's Close Quarters the entire mission.

Objective: Take the CP in the circular room
This one is simple secure a room that will help you to take the CP. Watch out on this map though, the killing of enemies is really hard. EXPECT to die often, if you don't great, but don't think that you will get a perfect score in the first try. Now, as I said in the note, choose Engineer, and begin to charge forward. Move to your right, and there will be a door there, take it! You will now be in a larger circular room. There will be a few scattered enemies, just shoot them and move on. While on the move take the CP found in the middle of three hallways, you will need this to secure the objective below! Take the CP and objective completed!

Objective: Secure the Death Star Plans
You remember what we just did in the last mission, well, we didn't actually secure the plans. (We thought we had stopped the plans from leaving.) As usual, You need to clean up this mess. Get at it.  You... Read the rest of this Guide

Mission 10: Mustafar: Tying up Loose Ends
Mission 11: Kamino: Changing of the Guard
Mission 12: Death Star: Prison Break

Mission 10:

Objective:Take the first CP
Another one of those objectives... Well by this point, you know the drill. You should go for the Storm Trooper. (Fire rate is better in this part of the level.) You must take the lava observatory. This isn't that hard. You'll spawn in the room next to it. Go to the doors, on the left/ right (There are a total of 4 door. The ones you need to take are behind the table, there are windows that close, and a console, that when destroyed lowers the bridge.) Take one of the door, either is fine. Run across, and shoot all droids in the way. Sit at the CP until it is under your control.

Objective: Take the next CP
You are now going to go to the only door on the platform. Head over there, and run through the door. There will be an Auto-Turret on the ceiling. Take it out! It will be pesky until you get outside of this small hallway. Advance to the next hallway. There will be stairs going down, but you will need to skip them. Go to the right here, take out the few droids that are left. Push forward to the next CP marked on your map with the usual Yellow map marker. Once there take out the droids in the area, preventing you from taking the CP here. This is really just like the last one, but it's in a different spot.

Objective: Take the Consoles out
This one is a little more fun. It can be done with any class, ex... Read the rest of this Guide

Mission: Coruscant Knightfall (This one is really hard, if you don't make it the first time, don't beat yourself up about it.)

Objective: Take the CP in the Jedi Counsel's Chamber
Okay, this one need a little explaining. You should try to get the Engineer, run ahead of all other troops spawning with you, but watch out! The Jedi are now going to be all over the place. (After the pillars, scattered across the floor, there are some steps.) Once you start up the steps, Jedi will fall from the ceiling, and they will go after you. Most of your shots can/ will get blocked, but if you shoot at them, when they jump, or shoot at their feet. Make sure NOT to keep advancing before incapacitating all Jedi! Once they are dead, head over to the circular place on your map, this is directly in front of the stairs you just went up. More Jedi will spawn here too, use the tactics I just described to get past these guys too. Once you kill them, advance into the chamber and take the CP.

Objective: Protect the Holocron Book Shelves
This is the hardest part in the entire level. You won't be able to protect all of the shelves, so don't worry if you lose a bunch of them. Make sure you stick with the Engineer Class, because you can protect the shelves, and heal/ repair them! This one is on a time limit as well. You will need to head back in to the main room, and turn right, at the next staircase. Head up these stairs, and the time will start ticking. You... Battlefront Report II Part 3
Welcome back to my Battlefront report. I will have missions 5-6 and maybe 7 in here. This one may be longer, as the mission 5 can take a long time to beat. So hold on, and enjoy!

For Missions 1-2: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81733&ppp=20&page=0#1102241
For Missions 3-4: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81761&ppp=20&page=0#1102547
For Missions 7-9: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81814
For Missions 10-12: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81837

Mission 5: A line in the Sand (Kashyyk)
Mission 6: Underground Ambush! (Utapau)

Objective: Defend the CP (Command Post, refer to Mission 1. Link is above)
You are tasked with defending the Command Post/ CP. This is best done with a tank. You can take any trooper you want, but I would discourage the use of the Sniper in this mission. You need quantity of shots, and although the sniper is effective, you can't take out as many targets. Kill all of your targets with as much speed as possible. Defensive missions are the hardest. You need to hold on for 3 minutes. Once completed you will head back to the farthest command post. But first, take out all droids that get close to the CP. The tanks will come later, but don't worry about them too much, the Spider Droids (tanks) are the bigger problem. Even though they don't get close to the CP, they can take out more Clones than the tanks. Your tank should hold out for the time being. Repeating the killing of tanks, and droids until the time runs out. This shouldn't be too hard.

Objective: Defend the Oil Refinery
This one can get a little ore tricky. You have to run back to the only other CP you have. When you do this, take the tank back, kill droids along the way. (Keep moving towards the CP though, if you don't this will make it harder to defend the next object. You have a 4 minute time limit, and th... Read the rest of this Guide

The Battlefront Report II
Welcome to the Battlefront Report part 2! I will continue the guide, and hopefully get two or three missions from Star Wars Battlefront II.

Mission: 3
Mission: 4

For Missions 1-2 go to this location:  http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81733
Missions 5-6: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81793
For Missions 10-12: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=81837

I will begin with Mission 3, which is Felucia: Heart of Darkness

Objective: Take you the Acklay
It isn't that hard, it you use the right tactics. I would suggest that you just stick to the "vanilla" soldier. You could use a heavy trooper, but since the reload time is so long, you must be patient when using him. If you take the normal trooper, just find one of the spider-like creatures and shoot at him, when he starts walking towards you: Back up (walk backwards) while shooting him. This tactic is easy to use, and makes taking the 5 Ackleys out easy.

Objective: Protect the Broken At-Te
In order to do this, fill up on any needed health. After this, you will notice that there is a hill on the other side of the river. The droids will be coming from that side. There won't be too many, and just to be safe. Reload often. Once you take out a single one (not in a bunch) reload. If you do this, you will have no problems with this part. They aren't really shooting at you, and the time you need to protect it isn't that long.

Objective: Take the At-Te core back to the vehicle
This one isn't that hard. You now can use Ayla Secura. She uses two lightsabers. Take her, or stick to the trooper of your choice, but I would highly suggest that you take her. Run to the yellow circle on your map. It is not hidden. The white crystal thing sits right by one of the troop transports. There will be a few scattered droids here and there, but they are no big deal. Kill them... Read the rest of this Guide
