Vizzed is viewed as Safe Again

This is a response from the previous announcement. I had Google rescan the site and they found no viruses. This means that vizzed is no longer flagged.

Vizzed is Safe but someone reported it as unsafe

It appears that Vizzed may have been flagged by AVG, Google and/or Firefox as having malware and/or viruses but that is not true. I'm not sure why this happened but I'm thinking a competitor site has falsely reported vizzed as having harmful files.

If anyone else is noticing these problems or has more information, please report it here:

Also, the Java Super Nintendo emulator is back up which means those who can't install the RG Plugin for whatever reason can play SNES games on the site using Java. It's been a few months since the Java SNES emulator was up so enjoy. NOTE: A lot of SNES games don't work in the SNES Java emulator.

All Java Games Back up

All of the games that use Java Emulators are back up. The save files should also be back up and working for the Java emulated games.

The play Window for the games are a little different and have more information on them. Also, JavaBoy play screen is bigger and VizzedAEPgb play screen can be enlarged (see instructions on the play window to the right). I hope the info to the right side of the java game play windows aren't very intrusive.

The Java Emulator and games are now located on a different server. This means that even if Vizzed goes down, you'll still be able to continue playing your game and may also be able to save and load. It also means that if vizzed transfers to a new server, those games wont go down since they wont need to be transferred. The ability to take screenshots with the NESCafe and VizzedAEPgb has been removed and timetrial mode with NESCafe will be stripped soon (and replaced with the ability to do timetrials in the RGR Plugin).

I know I said that you'd be able to continue playing your game even if vizzed goes down but it doesn't do you any good if you can't access vizzed while it's down to find other games to play. I've got a solution to that: Facebook App. That's right, I'm announcing it right now for the first time, sometime in the future, I'll be putting together an App on Facebook that will allow you to navigate the Java based games from the RGR right on facebook AND you'll be able to load/save your save files on there as well.

Some Java Emulators back up

Some of the Java Emulators are back up, which includes: Nintendo, Game Boy Color, Game Boy, Game Gear and Sega Master System. The saving on those games should work as well.

I'll have a more thorough update in about 16 hours and the rest of the java games should be up by that time as well.

Some RGR Plugin Saves currently unavailable

When transferring to the new Linux server, I was surprised to find out that a directory can only contain 31,998 directories, which means there were some save files that couldn't be transferred. New users (anyone with an ID above 145372) and users with IDs between 87815 and 99999 wont be able to able to load or save their progress for the time being. I'm hoping to figure out a solution to this problem within a week. I'm very sorry for those who fall into this category. Once I've figured out a solution, your save files will be transferred, they will not be lost.

Everyone else should be able to load and save without problems.

RGR Plugin games up, Java emulator games still down

RGR Plugin Games back up but saving may not work
The games that require the RGR Plugin are back up. The reason it took longer for them to come back up is because changing the file permissions of files on a linux server takes longer than what it does on a windows server, I didn't know that so my estimates were off. For some people (about half of everyone at the moment), the save files probably wont work right away because it's still updating the file permissions for a lot of users, it should be done updating this within 12-24 hours. Everyone can still play any game with the RGR Plugin but only half of you will be able to load and save your game progress. Screenshot taking with the RGR Plugin will work.

Java emulator games will be down until probably Monday
The games that require a Java emulator will be down until Monday night probably (central time zone). The reason for this is because a lot of them don't seem to work on the new linux server, this is also something I wasn't expecting so therefore I couldn't prepare for. I've come up with a solution though but it'll take a few days to do. No save files will be lost.

I'm sorry for all this inconvenience, it's not something I could have prepared for or expected. A lot of my time has been invested into this and a lot of money has gone down the drain ($500+ since both the previous servers were purchased but didn't work out, not to mention the 3 month purchase of the new server costing $1000+).

If you have any questions, please post them here:
