This rube NPC waits on Route 3 for the player. He saw the player in Viridian Forest and would now like to battle. He uses unwisely not fully evolved bugs at level 10. His first assault is made by Caterpie and his last gasp at vainly trying to win is a Weedle. Like we already know, he's a rube[jobber] that every advancing player must waste time fighting and any will clobber the jobber quite easily.
