VICE PROJECT DOOM   Lacedwithadaman..
Vice Project Doom is much underrated game. While growing up I never heard of it but someone told me to give a try recently. The first level might fool some players into thinking it may not be a great game because of the first stage. The view is looking down on a car while your driving, shooting, and ramming miscellaneous items that enter the road. The stage is extremely easy, the graphics on this stage are alright for a Nintendo game, but once you enter the second stage graphics, appearance, and feel all change. It becomes a platform action game for most of the levels. Only a couple levels has the player driving in the car. Other levels have the player shooting outward like the T2: Arcade Game. The main character Hart is given three weapons to choose from and can be selected by pressing the select button. This component reminds me of the first Batman game for the NES. There isn't many scenarios that really call for any other item than the laser whip. It's common for their to be a boss after every stage except for a select few. The controls for this game are smooth. I know on some NES games, players are unable to move while jumping in air and this game allows you to do that. This game has a Ninja Gaiden meets Batman sort of feel. It has cut away scenes after every level. This always intrigues me as player because I'm motivated to beat levels to gain more of the story line. Bosses and enemies are varied from animals, robots, mutates, soldiers, and crazy others. Plot was good. When first playing this game I thought it was going to be short but it was longer than expected so I recommend to play it if you have more than an hour. Like I said previously, it has a Ninja Gaiden feel to it so the more you play it and better you  become the less the game play will be. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a game to play because their tired of the cliche, looking for something new and challenging, and enjoy action platform games. It's a must play. Plus the name makes me laugh. VICE: PROJECT DOOM. It's ridiculous but really, it's a great game.

I've been looking at screenshots of this game since I was a child. I own an old Nintendo Power code book that I use to make sure games don't have cheap codes (infinite lives, invincibility). Never thought this game would actually be good. Awesome!
