Time Pilot Review by: BtotheHTime Pilot. Arcade1982 Time Pilot. Arcade.

Yeppers, travel back to the 80's with me as I review a fun and action packed addicting game called Time Pilot. Really no dialogue but the story Is pretty simple so for those who never played It here Is the story. You are a pilot of an awesome jet that travels back In time to rescue fellow pilots In the form of parachuting little dudes. Every time you run Into one of these you earn 1000 points. Meanwhile you are constantly moving, dodging and shooting down scores of other flying enemies! As I stated above this game has no dialogue so don't ask me how time travel Is possible or how your buddies got trapped In a different era, I honestly don't know. Regardless, In my opinion this game rocks and will keep you occupied until you are tired of playing. If you are an Asteroid or shooter fan then I suggest you try this fun and exciting game. Let's get down to some details.
The directional buttons are a little tricky, say you are pointing straight up then you push right to go right. If you are facing to the right then pushing the right button will make you face down. lol sounds complicated but It Isn't that big of a deal, I look at It like something different besides the regular up down left right configuration and actually makes the game more enjoyable.
The stages get harder as you progress as well as the enemies get faster. Each stage has a boss that Is unique with every level. It takes about seven direct hits to take a boss out. In the arcade version their are five levels of time travel. The Game Boy Advance version adds another level that I will list.
1910: This level has Biplanes, relatively easy to shoot down but there are loads of them. The boss In this level Is a big blimp that shoots In different directions. It Is slow and easy to hit and by now you should be used to the controls to evade It's attacks.
1940: WW2 Mono jets, a little faster then the Biplanes but still easy to shoot. The boss In this area Is a B-25 bomber jet. This jet shoots more then the previous boss but Is still pretty easy to take down.
1970: This stage has helicopters. They are more agile then the previous enemies but If you made It this far then you should be a pretty good player and should have no problem shooting down enough of them for the boss to come out. The boss On this stage Is a CH-47.
1982: I love the 80's! By the year 1982 tecknowledgy has Improved and this level contains Jet airplanes. Faster and more accurate then old propeller style planes, these will give you a run for your money. The boss here Is a B52 bomber plane. This plane shoots a lot more bullets so prepare to have an epic dogfight!
2001: The year 2001 sees their first encounter with UFO's and they are not friendly! These guys, uh aliens can be very tricky and hard to hit. If I am not mistaking the boss on this level Is a huge mother alien ship. Good luck on defeating this one.
GBA version: In this version there Is another level that dates back to 10,000,000 B.C. In this stage you fight It out with Teradactals to get back to your era. Sorry I do not know the boss on this stage. ( Later on I will add more info to this review)
Okay here are my scores.
I really like this game. It keeps you busy dodging and shooting so yea good times.
The graphics are okay, I mean better then Asteroids so yea I gave It an eight.
The sound wasn't all that great, no voice affects but what can you expect from 1982.
Pretty addictive, once you beat the game It starts over but Is faster the second time around.
I really like the story on this one. Something about time travel Intrigues me.
Not too much depth here but I felt It deserves a higher score anyway.
For me personally this Is a hard game, the controls are tricky at first and the stages and bosses gets harder as you progress, about like any other game.
