A great sequel to a masterpiece   gamerforlifefor..
In 1998, one of the greatest video games of all time was released. That game is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Two years later, the sequel to that timeless classic, Majora's Mask came out. Even though Majora's Mask is the sequel to Ocarina of Time, it's very different than not just Ocarina of Time, but it's also different from the rest of series as well! I'll explain what makes this game so unique and what I think about it with this review.
Graphics: 10/10  Like Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask's graphics are some of the best you'll see in an N64 game. The game looks very realistic for it's time, and each area in the game looks the way you'd expect it to. Everything from the ominous moon to the creepiness of Ikana Canyon looks spectacular and in some cases very creepy, as you'd expect from a game that's as dark as Majora's Mask is. I also love the way clock town looks as well. For these reasons I give the graphics a 10!
Sound: 9/10  Majora's Mask has a different soundtrack from it's predecessor. It really fits the tense atmosphere this game possesses and it's also one of the best soundtracks for an N64 game. While I still say Ocarina of Time has a better soundtrack, Majora's Mask still has great music. For that reason I'm giving the sound a 9.
Addictiveness: 8/10  The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is one of the most addicting games in the series. One reason for this is because of Link's new forms. Those forms are Deku Link, Goron Link, and my personal favorite Zora Link. Deku Link can shoot bubbles out of his mouth, he can launch himself out of deku flowers and fly for a short amount of time, and he can use a spin attack to stun enemies. Goron Link can throw punches, he can also curl into a ball and use a ground pound attack. He can also roll around really fast as well. Zora Link can use his fins to punch, also he can use the fins as boomerangs, which happens to be my favorite thing about Zora Link. Another thing that makes Zora Link so great is he can use an electric barrier move, which can be used as a shield and makes him swim faster as well. All these new forms that Link has makes this game have some of the best gameplay in the entire Legend of Zelda series.
Majora's Mask also happens to be one of the most unique games in the Legend of Zelda franchise. You have 3 days to save the world of Termina from the falling moon. If
you fail, the world will be destroyed... You must make every second
count so you can accomplish your goals before time runs out (or you
could always play the song of time and reset the clock) There's nothing
else quite like this in the series, which is what makes the game so
unique.
One of the only things that I didn't find addicting about this game is the boss battles. The only bosses that I found really entertaining were the first two bosses in the game. Other than that I felt like the bosses were either really annoying or very boring. Also certain side quests require you to be at a certain place at a certain time. This can be really annoying because if you're a little early then you'll either have to find something to do to pass the time, or just wait until the right time so you can progress though the side quest. This can become really tedious. Other than that I feel like Majora's Mask was a very fun game to play, and for that reason I give the addictiveness an 8.
Story: 9/10  I'm only going to talk about the beginning of the storyline. The story for Majora's Mask starts in the Lost Woods, where Link is riding on epona, trying to find his old friend Navi. Along the way, the Skull kid comes and steals Links ocarina and starts riding on epona. Once link catches up to the Skull Kid, he finds out that epona's run away, and the Skull Kid turns Link into a deku scrub. Link meets a new fairy friend named Tatl and together, they enter the land of termina to try and find the skull kid so Link can get his ocarina and regain his human form. Also, they must stop the moon from falling and causing the end of the world. This game is the darkest in the series and the story is much different from other games in the series. For these reasons, I'm giving the story a 9.
Depth: 5/10  The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask has some of the best side quests in the series such as the Anju & Kafei quests. This is where the pluses for depth end though. Unfortunately, this game suffers from a severe lack of dungeons and bosses. If you include the final dungeon, there are a total of just 5 main dungeons. There are a some mini dungeons as well, but that doesn't make up for the lack of main dungeons... Ocarina of Time had 9 main dungeons, yet they give it's sequel about half as much. Heck, even the gameboy and gameboy color Zelda games had more dungeons than Majora's Mask does, which is completely absurd! Also there are only 4 major areas in the game: Woodfall, Snowhead, Great Bay Coast, and Ikana Canyon. Because of these issues, I'm giving the depth a 5.
Difficulty: 8/10  Every Legend of Zelda game has collectable items you can find such as pieces of heart. Majora's Mask also has stray fairies you can find in dungeons. If you collect them all, you can get special power ups. These stray fairies can be difficult to track down. Also, certain boss battles such as the Great Bay boss can get really annoying. Lastly, trying to figure out when you have to be at a certain place by to progress through a side quest can be annoying as well. For these reasons, I'm giving the difficulty an 8.
Overall Score: 8.5/10 Let's face it, trying to make a Legend of Zelda game better than Ocarina of Time is always going to be an impossible task, but Majora's Mask still managed to be a great sequel. It has spectacular graphics, a great soundtrack, fantastic sidequests, and some of the best gameplay the series has to offer. Unfortunately though, the game suffers from a major lack of dungeons and bosses. If it hadn't been for the limited dungeons, I would've given the game a much higher score, but instead I have to give the game an 8.5. Majora's Mask is a worthy successor to one of the greatest video games of all time.

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask   Mynamescox44
Legend of Zelda : Majora's Mask is one of the best titles in the entire Zelda franchise. It brings to the table the incredible puzzle solving, revolutionary Z targeting, and action-adventure we all loved in this series on the Nintendo 64. Majora's Mask is the sequel to Ocarina of Time, taking place when Link sets off to find a special friend who left his side after the end of the previous title. Despite the risk of never returning, he enters the Lost Woods to find them. They're called the Lost Woods for good reason, and even the Hero of Time would have trouble finding his way back...
There he meets a special imp, and ends up in the parallel world of Termina. Although it is a separate world entirely, the people resemble those of Hyrule, very close to a multiverse (and possibly that exactly) of Hyrule itself. The game features much darker themes than it's predecessor, and an entirely different concept of how time affects the game and everything in it. In fact, using time to your advantage is one of the few themes Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time share in terms of plot devices. It's hard to explain the brilliance of the time mechanics in the game without revealing any spoilers, but I'll do my best. In most games like this, nothing happens / changes until your character interacts with the world, but this game's world is alive regardless of what you do. Without your character interacting with anyone or anything, a woman will get mugged at night, a talking monkey will be executed, and the other characters will continue going about their daily lives. No matter what you may or may not do, the world around you will continue to go about it's course, which is a brilliant concept for the time this game was released.
The world of Termina itself is different from Hyrule in quite a few ways. First their mythology is different, believing in 4 giant guardians instead of the three goddesses. The map has the city of Clock Town at the center, surrounded in every direction by wilderness of varying terrain. Swamps to the South, Icy Mountains to the North, Ocean to the West, and Desert Canyons to the East. Each of the temples you must conquer are in these areas, and only by completing one can you gain access to another. Epona also makes a return appearance, helping Link along the way as every trusty steed should.
Graphics 9 / 10 -- The graphics in the game are extremely well done for the Nintendo 64. The N64 Expansion Pak is required to play the game, which adds more texture and resolution to the game's overall appearance. The Zelda franchise never really focused on making things look as realistic as possible, but the style they use is perfectly executed. The series (generally) has a more light-hearted almost cartoon-like look, while keeping everything proportionate and life-like in scale. The textures look great for what the N64 can pull off and for how much of it is packed into the game. Some of the environments can look a little bland, but only when it comes to something like a wall that doesn't require much detail anyway. In it's day, the transformation scenes when Link dons his Deku, Goron or Zora mask were breathtaking, albeit very disturbing and dark for a Zelda title. All of the supporting characters look great and are full of little details that make them unique. Each mask you collect looks awesome when Link wears them, showing the detail that was put into making the game look superb. Everything in the game is rendered beautifully, and pushes the N64 to show what it's hardware is made of.
Sound 10 / 10 -- I absolutely love the sound this game has to offer. The music is stunning, living up to the expectations created by prior Zelda titles. Each track fits the scenario it is used in perfectly. My personal favorites are the boss themes and the theme that's played when the main antagonist makes an appearance. Another nice touch is that for every transformation Link has, they each play their own unique instrument. An example being the Deku has a set of pipes to play instead of the ocarina. The sound effects are also well done. Striking a wall with your sword is different depending on the material, and is intentionally different when used on hollow walls to let you know something is behind it. Footsteps are incorporated, and listening to Epona gallop is extremely soothing in my opinion. I love that almost every character has their own unique sound byte when spoken to. Even the smallest things like popping a bubble or firing an arrow sound spot on. All in all, the audio adds even more to this great experience.
Addictiveness 10 / 10 -- This game is incredibly addictive, and has in one way or another an aspect every gamer would enjoy. Game play ranges from plat forming, to action-adventure, and lots of puzzle solving. The replay value is very high, since there will be tons of things you will likely miss on your first play through. The game is also full of fun mini-games, from Goron Racing to First Person Shooter (archery style) type activities which reward you for breaking certain scores or milestones. I found myself simply playing the mini-games for hours on end, forgetting about the main story for a while altogether. There are also tons of side-quests, many of which involve collecting masks that have various effects. For instance the Stone Mask (a favorite of many) has the ability to make you invisible to most enemies throughout the game, and the Bunny Hood, which doubles running speed. Almost every mask has it's own unique way of being obtained, keeping things from ever getting stale or feeling like you're simply farming for them. This game will make you fall in love and never want to let go.
Story 10 / 10 -- I'll try my best to sum things up here without giving away anything important. As stated in the overview, the story follows Ocarina of Time with Link ending up in Termina. Due to an evil, vengeful force, you only have 3 days (in-game) before everything turns to dust. How can Link save an entire world with such little time to do so? He must once again rely on the Goddess of Time's assistance to save not only himself, but everyone in this parallel world from certain destruction. My favorite thing about the story of this game is that it doesn't follow the typical Zelda formula of Princess Zelda being a damsel in distress needing to be rescued from an evil threatening her kingdom. Don't get me wrong, the story is written beautifully, and it's nice to see Nintendo change it up a bit (or a lot, actually). They pretty much designed the plot from the ground up, and it paid off immensely. Another great aspect is all the little story lines tied together through out the game. Everyone in the game's world has their own tale resulting from the main plot taking place, and they all interweave so well. It's incredibly brilliant.
Depth 10 / 10 -- As per the standard for the franchise, there's a lot to do in this title. Not only will the main plot keep you entertained long enough to get your money's worth, but there's even more to do on the side. There's a total of just over 50 side quests, some of which even span days (in-game) in length, requiring precise actions in certain places at certain times. These can range from horse racing, to protecting livestock, or simply fetching / finding a certain person or item for someone. The rewards are almost always worth the effort put forth, so if something is hard to accomplish, you'll probably be greatly rewarded with an empty bottle, a new mask, or even a heart piece. Some of these side quests are borderline invaluable, granting you better swords or increasing your magic bar. My personal favorites were the archery side-quests (or mini-games in some cases) that test your accuracy and skill, which grant you an increased quiver capacity, and a heart piece for a perfect score. Another favorite is the Goron Racing (maybe more like obstacle course?), in which you barrel through a track as a rolling Goron for Gold Dust, which is a component for forging the best 1-handed sword in the game. There's more than enough to occupy someone's time in this game, and the variety is nothing to laugh at.
Difficulty 7 / 10 -- The game ranges in difficulty in a few different ways. Overall, it's moderately difficult. Certain things can drive you insane, while others take little effort to accomplish. The combat and platforming aspects I found to be pretty easy. With the help of Z targeting, most enemies were a cake walk, even the most difficult enemies simply requiring better timing and more patience. The platforming was just as easy, not offering much in the ways of difficulty. The puzzle solving aspect is moderately difficult, not being too easy nor too challenging. All the puzzles can be solved with patience and a cool head if you just keep at it. None of the temples come close to the difficulty of the confusing maze that is Ocarina of Time's Water Temple, which is a big plus in my book. The most difficult parts of the game would be some of the side-quests. There's one in particular that requires reuniting two separated lovers over the course of the entire 3 days, and the word tedious doesn't come close to describing the process to go about doing so. The game has a good balance of difficulty overall, and any fan of the franchise or similar games will enjoy the experience.
Overall 9.5 / 10 -- I recommend this game, as well as the franchise to every gamer out there. Everything from a casual gamer to a hardcore fanatic can find things to love in this game, and it is considered a masterpiece for good reason. If you enjoy gaming, odds are you'll enjoy this.
Hope you enjoyed the review :)

Too dark? Nah it's fine.   chaoscontrolx
We are looking at a game. Not just any game. But a game that is said to be the darkest game in the Zelda franchise. A direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, I present to you, Majora's Mask! A game that get's criticized a lot but, in my opinion is much more deserving of the praise that Ocarina of Time. Yes, I said it. this game is a lot better it's older brother, so let's get into it!
Plot: This has quite the plot that is much more deep than anything before it. So, after Zelda sent Link to the past (pun not intended) at the end of Ocarina of Time, Link then sets out to find an old friend, who can only be guessed as Navi. However on his journey through the woods, he runs into a Skull kid who is wearing a very strange looking mask called "Majora's Mask" if you haven't already guessed it. In hasty action, the skull kid steals Link's Ocarina of Time, turns Link into a Deku Scrub, and flees off. But not without taking a fairy's brother with him, leaving the other fairy with Link. Link then finds out he has 3 days to save the world or the moon will crash onto Clock Town located in Termina before he can go back to Hyrule.
Not nearly as deep... That is probably what you're thinking isn't it? Well, this game has a lot of side stories that can really add the "darkness" implemented into this game. Giving it a much sadder plot. But the main stuff is out of the way, so let's begin with the Game Play shall we?
Game Play: Sit back because this might be the longest category in this review. Along with Link's swordplay... Oh wait, we can't cover that yet? No... We have to get the Deku Scrub Game Play first. So, the Deku Scrub play's like Link, only get can't use swords or shields. He can't use a snot bubble attack like arrows, fly by spinning around in plants, and use a spin attack. That's about it.
To be honest it is kind of disappointing not being able to use the Deku Scrub a lot later in the game. But there are more forms.
So basically to turn into each different "form", you want to obtain a mask. How would you obtain each mask? Well by continuing on in the game of course. You'll see when you play. This can range from that little Deku Scrub to a white aquatic creature who has excellent swimming skills.
When you are Normal Link, you will notice that he plays exactly like he did in Ocarina of Time. Sword, shield, nothing much is changed so if you love the game play of the previous game you won't be let down here. Of course, tons of weapons are at Link's arsenal as well.
The final thing I'm covering will be the Ocarina of Time itself. During the game you will learn new songs from different people. For example, you will remember  a song that sets back time so you can go back to the first day, a song to call your horse, and even a song to bring order to Termina! Lot's more songs are in the game of course, but probably not as useful. I may be wrong.
Graphics: Well... They are graphics ripped out from Ocarina of Time yes... But, some of these graphics can be a little creepy if I do say so myself. They can also look very funny and silly, but some of them may leave an image in your mind. Just take a look at some of the people's smiles... You all know who I'm talking about. Apart from the Mask person, there is Majora's Mask itself. it just stares at you with no end...
But where graphics go, they can be pretty creative even if they do look a bit strange. I would deduct points for ripping graphics out from OoT, but this game has it's own sprout of originality to it.
Sounds: The sound can be a bit, dull at most parts. Mainly the dungeons. Other times they can be some spot on sound effects, and occasionally eerie music. All in which can be interesting to some, but it still takes a certain mind to enjoy them. I will say this, OoT has beaten this game in some parts of music, but not much. MM has a bit more variety. Just take a look at the music made by the Zoras! Didn't expect that in a Zelda game now did you?
I mentioned that this game has some pretty cool sound effects. Kind of like Mega Man X. Well let's skip to the third day. That is if you fail to save the world. The moon is crashing... But wait, you can actually hear the sound as the moon falls down on clock town. And it's realistic if anything. Nothing random and nothing silly. You feel the hopelessness as the moon crashes and the SF really drives that home.
Addictiveness: Tons of fun is found in this game. What really gives it that little boost is that this game is a lot different than most. You still attack, you still find treasures, but what's makes it so addictive is the originality. Think about it. You don't think a kid who has made friends with a fairy, rescued princesses and fought a swine would turn into a plant, experience the death and sadness of others, and use masks to get through various challenges? Not very likely. That's exactly what makes Majora's Mask so fun. It's the game of the series that's different and new. Not relative to the overall structure of the zelda franchise. It's still canon for sure but it's just so new and fresh. Rolling as a giant bulky monster, shooting bubble snot as a plant kid, throwing arm blades as a aquatic animal, it's all something that you need to experience! So if you ever see an original game that's "different", you ought to try it out.
Depth: In the past categories I think I've explained just how much this game has to offer, so If you want to know that actual depth, check game play and addictiveness.
Difficulty: This game can be irritating for sure, but that's not to say it's hard. What is really irritating is the pressure you get from having to save the world in 3 days. Luckily if you get through the first round that won't be as big of a problem. The challenges can be really annoying but the game itself isn't as hard.
While Ocarina of Time has left the biggest impact on the franchise, Majora's Mask doesn't mess around either. A dark game it is, but that doesn't take away from the fun one bit oh no. If you are tired of games being the same old thing this game is the one that doesn't disappoint. This is a special game to say the least and if you are looking for the interest in your games, grab a gamecube or wii, and buy this game for yourself. It is greatly criticized but you may find interest in it. So slap that disc in your GC and play some Zelda!

Majora's Mask: Review This!   Fireproof
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's mask is a sequel to the Ocarina of Time. This time around Link leaves the land of Hyrule and sets out to Clock Town. Unfortunately for Link another adventure begins for the young hero with new temples, different weapons, a whole selection of masks to discover and you only have 3 days to do everything. With all new puzzles and a great adventure waiting in store for you, you'll see why I gave this game a 10/10.
Graphics: 10
Much like Ocarina of Time this game also brought out the best in Nintendo 64 technology and by adding more to it. What I like about this game's graphics starts with the masks. I really liked the transition from Link to the Deku scrub in the beginning of the game. In a way, it kind of hooks you into the game to see more and find out what the game is about. I also liked the quality of the colors and the structures seemed to be more colorful in this game. For me it's the small things that make the biggest differences. I also liked how the graphics made Majora's Mask really look like it was consumed by evil. That stare that the mask gives was pretty creepy.
Animations were pretty cool and I was surprised by the random hand in the toilet. As a kid I remember laughing at it and thought that there had to be someone trapped in there. One of the coolest aspects the game had to offer begins with the water tornado surrounding the water temple. When I saw that, I thought it was nothing less than awesome. This goes for the same with the masks too actually. before I go any further I always want to add that I liked how each of the temple areas change the surrounding settings which offers more to do and more to discover.
Sound: 10
I have to say that I loved the music of this game and compared to the Ocarina of Time, I'd have to say that the music here is possibly better. Majora's Mask, compared to The Ocarina of Time, seemed like it offered more and the music play a bigger role within the game. In Majora's Mask, like Ocarina of Time, you can play songs on the
Ocarina. The cool thing about these songs is the magical energy you can
feel when playing them. Like, for example, the Song of Healing is one of
those songs that speak to you. You can feel the sadness in the song and with how it was composed it could really heal the in-game characters. Of course my favorites of the Ocarina played songs are the New Wave Bossa Nova and the Song of Storms.
For the game though, the overall sound aspect was pretty perfect and it really suited each area perfectly. The game offered unique music and new songs which made it feel quite different to the Ocarina of Time. Yes, the Ocarina of Time used some of the same songs from the first game, but I liked that because it also gave Majora's Mask the appeal that it was still the sequel. Put the pieces together and you can see the similarities and the differences. It's still cool and it's still fun no matter how you look at it right?
Addictiveness: 9
The game is pretty addictive. You may find that there are times when you ignore your bodily needs like running to the bathroom until the last possible moment and ignoring your need to drink something. I've done that plenty of times and end up spending a couple hours going hungry and forget that I was hungry. Majora's Mask was one of those games that made me do this (Yes it made me). This game series seems to be able to hook the players into playing for an extended time period. Don't forget that you have a 3 day time limit and when you're nearing the end of your time you probably feel the need to spend extra time to finish out what you're doing.
Majora's Mask is fun, so why wouldn't you become addicted? There's tons to do in this game, everything from puzzles to collecting masks and heart pieces. True gamers never feel satisfied until they've collected everything. That's one of the things I always liked to do, collect everything.  When I do, I feel like I've seen everything the game has to offer and it gives me a sense of accomplishment. It's small things like this that keep the gamer coming back and play hard to fully complete the game. Can't argue that!
Story: 7
I always like a game series that can build a bigger and larger story through sequels (something I wish Final Fantasy would do more of and better at). Like I said before, Majora's Mask is a sequel to the Ocarina of Time. Link leaves Hyrule in search of a friend (from what it looks like to me). Honestly, I think that's kind of silly but that doesn't take away from the rest of the story. The game is still cool either way. The story continues as you progress throughout the game and you learn a little more about the Town, Majora and what's going on. With having a time limit, you have a lot of side quests you can explore as well and in some ways adds to the stories because the way that people feel seems to change as you get closer to the final hours.
With that being said, I like how this was pieced together. It seemed somewhat realistic that you could see people change over time. The overall story isn't huge though. Ocarina of Time also offered part of it's story involving the Triforce, the Goddesses and more to uncover about Ganon and Link. In Majora's Mask, it's more focused on the side quests that has little to nothing to do with the villain you face at the end of the game.
Depth: 9
I will admit that this game has more to offer when it comes to exploring the rest of the game, but Ocarina of Time offers more for actual levels. In Majora's Mask, you only have 4 main areas where you have the 4 main temples, which is half of what Ocarina of Time offers. This is actually a disappointment because I like playing The Legend of Zelda series to face bosses and new challenges. I don't necessarily want to play the game to complete trivial side quests that do nothing for me (There is a reward but it requires too much work to actually get). Most of the side quests relate to the masks you can get in the game. Each mask has a different abilities and allows you to do different things. Some masks are needed to get other masks or some masks are needed to unlock other items or weapons. It is cool that it gave you more to do, but this wasn't helpful towards the main game in my opinion.
I did like that the levels added another element. This time, instead of only finding the different Fairy Fountains, you needed to bring all the fairies back to the Fountain in order to gain the bonus that she would grant you. Each level offers something unique and I thought that this was a brilliant idea. It also offered more puzzle solving in each Temple because some rooms hide fairies really well and I'd go insane trying to find them, especially when time is running out.
There's another part of the game taken from Ocarina of Time and implemented in a different way. The Gold Skulltulas are back! Luckily, you aren't required to hunt these in each of the temples because if that were the case, who knows how much more challenging the game would actually be. You will have to find these on a side quest and uncover what they're used for.
You also have a good selection of gear in this game but I really think that Ocarina of Time offered more for actual gear because you also had different Tunics and you could change boots. The one thing that made up for this was the masks that offered special powers. Some of these are really cool and I'd love to tell you more about them, but you must figure that out on your own. I'm sure that if you played the game, you'd like it too; It's pretty unique in my opinion.
Difficulty: 7
Depending on how you view the game, it's both hard and easy. What makes it easy is the number of rupees laying around everywhere. There's absolutely no problem with having a little extra cash but you get so much extra that you can line your pockets before you even make it to the first temple. What makes the game hard is that the temples increase in difficulty as
you progress and take more time to think things through than you would
in Ocarina of Time. I liked this because with having a time limit you could run out of time and need to work your way back up to where you were at. Sometimes this took away from my thought process and I'd have to back track more steps. Of course, this is taken from playing the game when I first beat it. Now, I know how to do everything and get everything.
Overall, the game isn't difficult. It requires time to play and to find everything but it doesn't really challenge you too much. Once you get the hang of things and you know what's going on and where to go then it becomes a walk in the park. There were only a few key moments that actually held me back for awhile but it never did any real damage.
If you're looking to challenge yourself there are a couple of ways to do that. The first method is to take the 3 hearts you begin the game with and do a 3 heart run without collecting any other hearts. You can collect all the masks and items you want but no heart containers. The second method is to try to win the game without a sword (There is a way to have your sword taken away from you... If you're new to the game, you'll probably freak out the first time it happens). The last method is to complete the full game in only the first 3 days after you solve the Deku Scrub problem (Note: It is very possible to do. Consider everything you need to do before you actually play). Of course you can combine challenges as well if you'd like.
Overall: 10
Now I know that I've said Ocarina of Time a million times in my review, the reason for that is due to Ocarina of Time being the best possible choice to compare this game to. That's my reason why I didn't try to compare this to any other games. Legend of Zelda is already great so why compare to anything that might not be as great?
I felt that Majora's Mask was worth a 10/10 because it offers different things. It offers great graphics, awesome music, it's addictive, fun, entertaining and it isn't the same game as Ocarina of Time. One of my fears is at some point this series might just become the same game every time. Some reviewers might hate me for saying this but I've felt that Pokémon is one of those games that is the exact same game it was back when I first played it on Pokémon Yellow. To me, it was boring to hunt for all the Pokémon and you couldn't even get them all without hacking and on top of that it added a new generation so instead of getting 151 you had to get 251 and it's over 650+ now? For this reason, I give Majora's Mask credit for standing out as a different Legend of Zelda title. Sometimes different is good.
Lastly, I've played Majora's Mask maybe a dozen times. I love the game and I think it's a great game to play. As a child I remember how much fun it was and I had that mentality that I'd never give up until I finished the game completely. It's worth the time and the energy. If you're someone who is skeptical about this game, you'd shouldn't be. This game offers something that everyone can enjoy, especially if you like puzzle solving, adventure and action. Take some time to actually play the game and I'm sure you'll like it too!

LoZ majoras mask review   austipokedude
The legend of Zelda franchise has never disappointed me its a great series but one Zelda game demonstrated a dark feel in it and that legend of Zelda game is legend of Zelda majora's mask.Legend of Zelda majora's mask was released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64.Legend of Zelda ocarina of time is most likely the reason this sequel was so anticipating.Unfortunately legend of Zelda majora's mask wasn't as good as ocarina of time but still was a great game.Enough of this gibberish I'm ready to get started.
Graphics:The legend of Zelda series is well known for its amazing graphics this Zelda game demonstrated the franchise's amazing graphics.Compared to ocarina of time's graphics this games graphics are great. The graphics possessed a dark feel to it which is great once you put in the game cartridge you can recognize the great graphics by just looking at the title screen.
Sound:I know this may be shocking and appeared in many Zelda games but I can't stand that annoying beeping when your low on hearts. In fact in order to get rid of it I would just kill myself or turn the volume on my t.v down its that annoying. But other then that the music is great.I loved the music it gives you a heroic feel that pushes you forward in such places as termina field and the stone temple.
Addictiveness:You may not believe this but it does kinda get boring after a while. What I mean is you literally restart the days over and over again.I'm just one of those people that hate losing all there progress I feel as though everything I done is wasted yes you can store your ruppees at a bank and is somehow kept but I find it a little irritating to start over and over again.
Story:Here's the story link has went on a journey away from hyrule while riding on his trusty pal espona link encounters skull kid.Skull kid steals link's ocarina and espona link then immediately goes after skull kid.Having chasing skull kid skull kid turns link into a deku scrub.Still having being turned into a deku scrub link still chases skull kid.On the way link meets the happy mask salesman who asks link to go fetch majora's mask that skull kid stole from him but must get it in three days.Thats all I'm gonna tell for now.
Depth:There's plenty to do especially since you repeat three days over and over again until you collected all the mask's and Beaten all the dungeons.Considering there's many mask to collect by completing various sidequests. There's plenty of items to collect like the fairy bow and the bomb bags. There are also many mini games you can do that involve the items you collect throughout your journey.
Difficulty:It's not hard it's just that if you run out of time and you are close to a boss you may have to start over but besides that there's nothing to worry about the game is not easy nor hard but can be a bit difficulty at times.
This may not be the best Zelda game but it certainly is a great Zelda game it consist what a Zelda game is known for such as the series graphics and sound. If you own a wii or Nintendo 64 I recommend you own this outstanding game. You have to own this game if you own a Nintendo 64 if you don't you must have been born today or you live in a cave. This has been yet another review by me but its time to wrap this review up.

Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask Review   Zircron Swift
Before this game, the Legend of Zelda games were in a simple, straight forward time line. It was Ocarina of Time, then a Link to the Past, then Zelda 1 for the NES, and then Zelda II for the NES. It was nice, consistent and easy to understand. Then this game came along. Don't get me wrong, this game is amazing, possibly as great as Ocarina of Time but on a different scale, but let's be honest. This screwed up the simple time line. If you completed Ocarina of Time, then you'll see straight away how this game messes up that simple time line and created a split, making everything much, much more complex. However, despite all that, this game is a masterpiece. Ocarina of Time was amazing, but this game is just...wow. It could have topped Ocarina of Time, but there were a few, minor things that made this game just a coconut shy from being better.
Well for starters, you needed the expansion pack to even start playing this game. Not only back then you needed to pay for this game, but an extra as well. However, the intense complexity of Majora's Mask makes it very understandable why this is needed. Second off, it crashes every now and then. Three times over the course of me playing this game it crashed, and three times I had a load of stuff on it. It's one of those games that have set save points, and you can't save between places like in Ocarina of Time. You just have to hope it doesn't crash. Imaging gaining three heart containers, defeating a boss and collecting a few masks and then suddenly it crashed, meaning you had to do all that again. It really annoys a gamer like me. Finally, it's the way the game is styled, and I'll get to that later.
So the story starts off and is meant to be set after Ocarina of Time, but is in the timezone of when Ocarina of Time started when Link was in the Kokiri Forest. However Link isn't sleeping in his bed this time, he is on Epona and is in the Lost Woods, trying to find Navi. See the confusion? Even though Link knows he will get turned into a Stalfo if he ventures in the Lost Woods without a Fairy or Kokiri to guide him, he still does it anyway, despite what he had learned in his adventures in Ocarina of Time, which never really happened, but still happened anyway in another timeline yet haven't happened yet even though they were meant to happen like right now. Anyway, he comes across some Skull Kid with a creepy heart shaped  mask ion and causes all sorts of havoc with you. Epona runs away, you lose your ocarina and you get turned into a Deku Scrub. One thing leads to another and suddenly you have a new fairy friend called Tatl, who is like Navi and gives you useless information, but isn't as annoying and sometimes actually gives you helpful information.
So you learn how to use your new body and come across the Happy Mask Salesmen, who has a tendency to jump cut a lot. If you play this game, you'll know what I mean. It's insane the jumps it makes. Whether that was intended or not I don't know. He'll tell you about some mask that he wants back and trusts you to return it, and then you get to really play the game, as you enter the Clock Town in Termina. Termina is an area outside of Hyrule, and is a unique place in its own right in the Zelda series. However, there seem to be people there that resemble the people in Hyrule. This is where the story gets foggy, and the theories become interesting. Since not much is given about the whole history of Termina, people can speculate on what it really is and why these people look so much like the ones in Hyrule. I like a game that holds that kind of mystery in a place so plain in sight. It doesn't take much, to be honest.
At later points in the game, you'll remember old songs and learn completely new ones. Like in Ocarina of Time, all of these songs are a work of art, especially Oath to Order and the much loved Song of Healing. All of these songs will have a purpose in completing the game, and only one song is used for that one time to do something and then are useless afterwards. I felt in Ocarina of Time, the Song of Time and Zelda's Lullaby were really good, but were only used like once or twice in the entire game. In this one, however, the Song of Time is used for many different things, depending how you play the song, that is. Also, this game doesn't limit you to an ocarina. Pipes, drums and a guitar are used as well in this game. It's pretty sweet.
Something that was added to this game was a Side-Quest book, otherwise known as the Bombers Notebook. This shows you all the troubled people in the Clock Town that you have spoken to, and when they are about to do something that is important. Rewards for these might include a bottle with something in it, a mask, or a piece of heart. These can be simple puzzles, or dastardly tricky ones, like the Kafei and Anju one. It is worth doing that one in particular. If you love a good story that drips with suspense, then do that one, mainly because you can't complete it until around half way through the game, but you can start it really early.
Something that makes this game unique is that you use different masks to solve different puzzles, as well as songs and such. There are four masks that transform you, each suited for a different situation. The Deku mask is a nice all rounder, which can propel you into the air in certain spots, the Goron mask is a strong, sturdy build, and Zora link (<3) looks awesome and can just unarmed combat in a stylish way. And the forth mask that transform you? You ask. Well, that’s a secret, and like many good secrets in the Zelda series, they meant to be found by you with a lot of exploration, and this game encourages that sense of exploration perfectly like in Ocarina of Time, and I dare say better as well.
Now, one thing I absolutely love about this game (And really, really hate about it), is that it’s time based. You have three days to complete the entire game in. Of course, this is completely impossible for the normal player who is playing this for the first time. SO you can use the Song of Time to save your game and return to the Dawn of the First Day, losing all your rupees and other collectables (excluding bottles and important items) in the process. You can store these rupees in a bank, which marks your arm in ink, which means the accountant will recognize you, even if you have never met before. This means you are technically eating into someone else’s pocket when you’re doing this, as the rupees you are owed were never in the account to begin with, but I’m sure everyone will accept that when you save Termina for them.
Anyway, in normal RPG games, its all event based. For example, you are playing Pokemon Pearl. You could stand in your room for hours on end at the beginning of the game and nothing would happen unless you walked down the stairs. Things only went along as normal when you are there. This game, however, has several things happening at once without you even knowing. You could be cutting grass, in which the postman will be making a delivery to Anju in the Stock Pot Inn. You could be grinding for rupees in a temple, and an old lady would have her bomb bag stolen in the middle of the night. You could be standing still, doing absolutely nothing, and you would get a game over because the Moon hit the earth. That’s what’s remarkable about this game. It’s complex, and it demands quick thinking. It gives you the feeling of being under pressure to do that temple, or get to that point, and do it fast. Do nothing; and you really will fail and die. Amazing.
However, this can also be a bad thing. Since you’re trying to do as much as possible in one cycle of days, it can be stressful playing this game, and even more so when you’re waiting for something to happen, and you found out you got the wrong place. The game puts a lot of pressure on you as the player, not only Link there. This can cause to you hating the game as well as loving it. Normally when you’re stuck, you can just take your time trying new things out. But when you’re stuck on a part for too long in this game, it gets frustrating as you don’t have the time to make mistakes, literally. Then you have to play the Song of Time again and go through all that again and collect the stray fairy’s. I remember just about clearing the first temple with three minutes to spare, but failing the Deku Shrine thingy, and I had to fight the boss a second time to get that reward. It can be quite a frustrating game.
Luckily, the game gives you some back story on the history of Termina, if only brief. Also, like in Ocarina of Time, learning new songs is the most beautiful part of this game. It was as good as Ocarina of Time was, and that’s saying something, because Ocarina of Time had the Sheik moments. I loved it when I learned Oath to Order. The atmosphere was incredible, and the song was touching. The dialogue went so well with everything else around that moment. It’s a special moment in a Zelda game when you learn a new song; and this game make the most of every song you learned.
The graphics are amazing. Like in Ocarina of Time, it was all very interactive and realistic. You could get up close with everything. They did a really good job of making everything look really good for its time, and had some of the better graphics on the N64. The animations were really good…erm, save for the Happy Mask Salesmen and a few others that jump-cut a little. But when they were done right, they were amazing. Each of Links forms looks incredible, especially Zora Link. I’ve noticed that each time Link has a transformation mask on, he loses his shirt. I don’t know why though, and he somehow gets it back when he takes off the mask again.
The music in this game is also outstanding. The songs you learn are a work of art, like I said before, but other pieces of music are great as well. Ocarina of Time had great pieces, like Gerudo Valley and Sheik’s Theme, and it’s hard to top them. Majora’s Mask had the Clock Town music and Majora’s Theme, which were incredible pieces of work. The temple music, just like in Ocarina of Time, was subtle, but added depth to the entire atmosphere.
Another thing I love about this game is how dark it is. Whenever you put on a mask that changes your form, there’s an animation. Link puts on the mask, and for a brief moment, you can see the pain and fear in his eyes, as well as hear his screams as the mask makes him something he wasn’t meant to be. That is seriously dark. Imagine seeing that as a kid, and seeing that pained face every time you put on a mask. This can be skipped, thankfully, as you will be switching between masks a lot.
There is a moon with a face on it slowly making its way to crash down on you. I personally think it’s trying to invade my personal space. It gets shockingly close. You think it is close on the first day, wait until the final hours. It’s almost scary. Again, it adds to the pressure, creating stress our hero would be facing on you as well. It doesn’t help the fact it’s one of the hardest Zelda titles I’ve played. The bosses are imaginative and challenging, especially the final boss if you didn’t prepare enough beforehand. As well as other things, this game can almost be scary.
Overall, I give this game an 9.2/10    It’s challenging, and very hard to complete without getting annoyed at it more than once. The nature of the game is you need to be good at it and get used to the time-style puzzles it has through-out the game, which can lead to it being stressful. However, if you can handle this, and pull through, you can experience one of the finest RPG’s out there for the N64, and most probably of all time. Sure, it’s not quite as good as Ocarina of Time, but only by a small margin. It has a rich a world as any other RPG, plus chest full of gold, jewels and relics on top of it. If you’re a Zelda fan, then you simply must play this game.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask Review   XxEzraxX
The Legend of Zelda alone is one of my all  time favorite video game franchises, and Majora's Mask is definitely no exception to this. One of the things that really attracted me to this game is how much darker the series was going, considering that Majora's Mask is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. The story is great and the game play is great, all in all this game deserves the praise that it received, and does receive. So I'm sure that it is no shock that I rated this game a solid 10 out of 10. Alongside Ocarina, this game is my favorite of the Zelda series. My one and only real problem with this game however, is the way the saving works. When I was young and first started to play this game on my Nintendo 64 I never made it anywhere because my save would be completely messed up because I was saving incorrectly.
The save system works in one of two ways, you can either play the Song of Time and have everything you collected (excluding special items like bottles and songs) and start on the first of the three days saving automatically, or you can stop at one of the many owl statues and perform a quick save. When I was young I had no idea the owl was used for quick saving. Needless to say that I understand now and have beaten the game multiple times.
Anyway getting into the review, the graphics really don't look much different than Ocarina of Time's graphics so I rated it an 8. I would have rated it an 8.5 like I did with Ocarina, but vizzed has changed the rating system a little. Anyway, I thought the game(s) looked great. Majora's Mask has an interesting look to it though, as to make you feel like you are in a different place than Hyrule which you are. The world Link is now traversing is Termina. I'm going to digress a little here and just point out a few things, first off there is no tri-force in Termina except on a statue that depicts a strange creature licking it. I like to think that the people of Termina, being the Hyrulians polar opposites do not like the idea of the three Goddess so mock them when possible. Second, Skull Kid's design was originally black with that strange beak thing but this was seen as a secret racism so it was changed (this also happened with Jynx from Pokémon). Third and finally, I really like to think that the beloved friend that Link is looking for at the beginning (and never finds) is Navi, even though Navi got on my nerves.
Sorry for my digression, anyway the sound of this game was fantastic. I rated it a 9, there were songs for the Ocarina that Link carries added for new dungeons and they sound awesome. The Song of Time has remained however. Link still doesn't say a word, but he still does the action sounds when swinging his sword or attacking. As for addictiveness I rated a 10, and I don't think I need to explain why. However, this is a review so that would defeat the purpose. This game is highly addicting just like Ocarina. Once you get the saving systems down you are in it to win it, as they say. This game has caused me a lot of sleepless nights, let's just put it that way.
The story, here is one of my favorite parts of the game. I rated the story a 10, it was amazing. Link, after saving Hyrule as the hero of time is on a quest looking for a beloved friend but gets robbed of his ocarina by Skull Kid. After giving chase to Skull Kid and his two fairy friend Tatl and Teal, Link is then turned into a Deku by the Skull Kid. Tatl begins to mess with Link as Skull Kid and her brother Teal are leaving, which ends up leaving Tatl to team up with our hero. Link soon discovers a man known as the Happy Mask Salesman (creepiest man in the world), and he tells him of Majora's Mask which was stolen from him by none other than Skull Kid. The mask has a terrible power that will end up destroying the world in three days so Link must return it for him. After getting his ocarina back Link then learns two songs, the Song of Time and the Song of Healing. The Song of Healing turns troubled souls into masks which he can use along his quest. Each mask having a different transformation for Link to undergo whenever he wears them. I do believe that would be the jist of the story, I was trying not to make it a spoiler but just to explain what is going on in the game.
The depth of this game I gave an 8, I'd say that the overall map is about the same size as the map in Ocarina and even uses some of the same landscapes. Like the Romani Ranch sign, it is the exact same sign from Kakariko Village in Ocarina. However, there a ton more items to be used in this game, primarily the masks. As for difficulty I rated it an 8, the game itself I don't want to say is hard I personally think that I rated this high due to my problems with the saving, but the game is probably about the same difficulty level as Ocarina. Of course the enemies for the most part are the same.
Well that's it for this review, I know it has been a while since my last review and I really hope that I'm not getting rusty and that you all enjoy it. I try to take a lot of time into these to make them as good as I can. I really enjoyed writing this one, like I said before The Legend of Zelda is one of my favorite franchises and Majora's Mask is one of my favorites from the series. I really hope that I have inspired those who have not played this game to give it a try, I promise that you will not be disappointed. Until next time.

majora's mask review   kage27
Overall: The Legend of Zelda Majora's mask is an amazing game i love it I personally think it is better than ocerania of time 10/10 the graphics are good the sound is awesome its super addictive the story will blow your mind it has so much extra stuff to do and it is hard but in a good way now for more detail.
Graphics: The graphics are all recycled from ocerania of time but they get reused in such a way it looks new you might notice some of the similarities if you look closely and I personally love how they reused the settings I was used to in a way that felt new 10/10.
Sound: The sounds are again reused but again in a way that feels new some examples are the song of time is the same as it always was the song of storms was changed to the song of flight and if you play the song of time backwards it slows down time that helps so much in the game 10/10.
Addictiveness: This game is so addicting not only that but every three days you have to got back to the being but with every thing you have done still done except for side quest but its fun to try and challenge yourself to see if it takes you less restarts to beat it the next time that element also adds to the competitiveness like if you and your friends want to see who can do it in less in game days 10/10.
Story: The story is amazing if you understand it, it is very confusing but the game starts clearing stuff up as you go once you understand what the storyline is I can almost guarantee it will blow your mind it blew mine sorry I'm not spoiling anything so play for yourself to find out if you get pretty far and are still confused fell free to PM me 10/10.
Depth: The depth of this game is way bigger than ocerania of time (the depth is half the reason I like this game better than ocerania of time) I mean when I say the depth is huge I'm serious there is 24 masks to collect  4 side missions that are long and reset every time you reset time so that makes each one feel like 10 so it might not sound that much bigger than OoT but when you only have three in game days to do all of them before you have to reset it makes it a lot more challenging plus upgrading your sword takes like five steps and 200 ruppies I believe but if you fully upgrade it can go back in time as the upgraded version 10/10.
Difficulty: this is one of the hardest games to beat that I know of but it is hard in a good way I mean the controller's are responsive and the inst glitch but the game its self is hard like the dungeons are huge some of the masks are weak and its a hard game but with good controls

A zelda adventure like no other...BEN IS WATCHING YOU!   RedHotToddy
If you guys don't know, that Zelda game I reviewed a while ago called Ocarina of time has been critically acclaimed as THE greatest game of all time, The game scored perfect 10's and A's from just about every gaming review site ever made! But then 2 years later in 2000, we then got a sequel to the sleeper hit! The only thing though is, Will this sequel hold the same awesomeness and benefits that ocarina of time held? Well we are about to find out! This is the legend of Zelda majora's mask for the Nintendo 64! Alright let's do this.
Story-7/10
Like the last game, the game opens up in a very epic fashion telling us what has been going on for our hero in the past few years, The game tells us "After saving hyrule from ganon and saving Zelda, Link is off searching for a long lost friend of his" Yeah. Pretty much, So then we get young link riding on his horse in the calm and deep forest, and just then! A wicked imp like creature bumps into him and takes his ocarina! He then gives chase to the troublemaker and if you thought that was going too far, This guy then turns link into a deku like creature! It seems this guy is none other then the skull kid, a huge troublemaker in hyrule, so link then ends up in clock town, a huge downright different place then hyrule, He then meets the happy mask salesman who needs him to get back all these kooky masks of his! So anyways, I guess that is pretty much the story for now!
Gameplay-8/10
When I say that majora's mask is a Zelda adventure like no other, I really mean it! The first thing that makes this game way different from the last installments is that there is now a unique time and day feature new to the game! Because the world is called "CLOCK town" But anyways, the game plays like ocarina of time, I mean look at the freaking HUD and whatnot! When playing the game normally, link will only have such an amount of time to do things before time runs out and, the moon crashes on the earth! Link still controls like he did in Ocarina of time, You use the control stick to move, the A button to roll, The B button to attack, and you press the C buttons to launch attacks from your inventory. Another unique thing about this game is that you will now be collecting all these crazy masks, they turn you into such things like gorons, a tall hip and strict version of link with a sword to match, and Zora, which lets you swim and use these cool boomerangs. Around clock town, there is alot to do, Including cool bonus games, hidden passageways, and so on. These games are a good way to earn rupees, and I know you will agree. The game offers plenty of bosses to go around as well, Including majora's mask, a goron, and so on! Another thing about this new day and time feature is that the game will go daytime, and then once alot of time has passed, the game will turn nighttime, much like jak and daxter! Don't worry, the game is still an actual adventure game like the previous installment! Anyways, I guess that Is what I can say for the gameplay!
Graphics-8/10
As I have addressed before, the game still has the same old Ocarina of time feel, the engine, the HUD, and just about everything else! But is it a really bad thing? Well no, the game still looks pretty good and really holds up after 13 or so years, and I think that is a plus! Despite the game having a really spooky and eerie feel to it, it is no prob! All the worlds and locales you will be exploring in the game are big, vast, and bursting with things to do and collect! Now as for the characters, they still look good, but one thing though, this game does not have ganon, Zelda, or Old link! Only young link, skull kid, and a whole big cast, Kind of how the first ever sonic game for genesis only had sonic, robotnik, and the creatures of the forest! Such a simple concept, The in-game HUD is pretty self explanatory, It displays how much health you have, your magic power meter, and all the attacks you have equipped in your C-stick inventory. I really like the feel of this game! It is nice to have a change of pace again!
Sound-7/10
After 2 or so years, the soundtrack in this game is still doing pretty good like the last installment! Now because the game has an eerie feel to it, the music in some of the game's segments can get really spooky and chill, but it is no prob! But mostly that darn song that plays when you get hunted by those darn wolves in the nighttime! First time they came at me, I just passed the controller to my bro until they were gone! Now as for the sound effects, they are pretty good as well! You get some pretty typical ones like your sword slashing, but some have really gotten in my head like the one when you uncover an item, or when you do quite about anything else! It is always a plus when a game retires from something that It always and I say ALWAYS does! But it is no problem here! Not even once has the music ever gotten too repetitive for me!
Addictiveness-8/10
The game was pretty fun back then, and It still is today! You know, the thing that makes Zelda really really fun is the overall mood and feel of the adventures! The Zelda series has a very spooky and adventurous feel to it that never gets hold for me or anybody else I know! It is also really addicting collecting everything like those heart containers, the masks, and just about everything else! You see, those are a few reasons why I love Zelda in a nutshell!
Depth-9/10
This game is slightly longer and bigger then ocarina of time and here is why, Well first, the amount of stuff to collect and do has really stepped up since the last game! This game still has tons of stuff and things to do, don't get me wrong, And here they are, there are the heart containers which will give you more health, there are those kooky masks which will grant you special powers, and last but not least, the game is about 8-9 worlds long, so You have a big 8-16 hour quest waiting right in front of you! Oh yeah, the clock town itself also has a bunch of bonus games and hidden passages to find, so be prepared!
Difficulty-8/10
This game got pretty confusing and challenging for me way later on, and here are some reasons why! The first reason is that the game rarely gives you any save points or whatnot! Which means, if you collected a tons of heart containers and masks, and you then need to take a rest, well too bad! You will have to search really hard for these things! Well actually, if you are killed, then the game will ask you "Would you like to save?" But so problem solved, and another thing that makes the game harder are the bosses, and finding your way around clock town and the entire world! So be prepared!
Overall-8.3/10
I know you guys would get mad at me if I said this game is better then Ocarina of time, but to be honest, both games are really fun, challenging, and offer tons of depth! So yeah, this game is still pretty good and here you go, I gave this game a 8.3 because it is different, it offers fun, challenge, and ALOT of charm! So yeah, you guys know why the game is rated as it is! So, this has been RedHotToddy's 107th review, and see you guys later!

A Majora Mask Review   robert_stefan12
Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Oh,this game is so fun that I wish to make a remake on the 3ds. Yep, I'm with the ''Operation Moonfall'' for now!  A lot of people like OoT more, because it's so nostalgic, epic and others, but I think majora's mask, the only sequel in the Legend of Zelda History, worthed more than OotOK,let's start the review:
Graphics: 10
Why not? Improved graphics from Oot that was already good! The graphics of this game makes a better atmosphere that is kinda magical. This game is the darkest game from Legend Of Zelda History. But it's not dark because of the colors, gamma and contrast. It's about the atmosphere, but I think this should be in the Addictiveness category...
Sound: 10
Some of the songs are in OoT, that were kinda good. But in Majora's Mask it was added depressing songs like Song of Healing, The Four Giants and Last Hours and it was added dark songs too like Stone Tower Temple, Ikana Canyon, Ikana Castle, and others. The music makes a big atmosphere in the game too, because they are so beautiful and depressing...
Addictiveness: 10
I will always play this game and never take him  down. Such a dark atmosphere that captivated me inside the game. Everything you have to do in Majora's Mask is fun! Fighting Bosses? Fun! Solve people's problems? Fun! Complete Mini-games?Fun! Even when you're crashed by the moon it is kinda cool!
Story: 10
This game doesn't have only a story, but tens of them! Let me tell a little of the main story:
Once upon a time,Link goes in a very far place in a search for a old friend. But Link Meets Skull Kid.Skull Kid steals the ocarina and Epona and runs away. Link chases him until he falls in a very deep cave, where is transformed in a Deku Scrub by Skull Kid.And now,Link ''met with a terrible fate'' that was the Happy Mask Salesman. Happy mask Salesman telled Link that Skull Kid took Majora's  Mask,a mask that can destroy everything. Link wants to stop the Skull kid but he can;t for now because he's a deku scrub. The salesman telled link that if he gets the ocarina back,he will teach the song of healing to Link so he can be in normal form again. This is only the beginning of the story and it contains only 10% of the story. If you want more, play the Game!
Depth:10
No surprise, the depth is 10! Don't get fooled that there are only 4 dungeons! There are a lot of piece of hearts,sub-quests and mini-games to complete! Also there are more than 5 small dungeons that doesn't have a boss. The Mask transformation makes the game more deeper. There is a total of 5 mask transformations, and all of them are fun to play!
Difficulty:10
Again, don't be fooled that there are only 4 dungeons, those dungeons are incredibly hard! In Snowhead, you need to take some ice pillars down so you can go to the boss. In Great Bay,you need to push all of the water,so the waterwork should work, and the wheel should and then open it again after some time, then revert the wheel, also you need to freeze the water. Wart the strongest mini-boss ever lives here!
So that's all about Majora's Mask! Wait, I mean that's nothing of majora's mask! What I telled you it's only 15% of the game! Play the best game ever made! That is Majora's Mask...

Legend of Zelda, The - Majora's Mask   dude987
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is one of my all-time favorite zeldas! Every aspect of this game gets a very high rating from me (except, of course, the difficulty) and it should be no surprise to others that have played this magnificient piece. The unique style brings a twist to the zelda franchise, making it one of the most debatable. It truly deserves recognition and I think it is a little underrated. For one thing, most people know which one they prefer: Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. But I don't have a clue when I weigh the pros and cons. So here is a little review in my perspective:
Back Story:
Link just got sent back his younger self after (or chronologically speaking, before-but I'm not getting into that-) he defeated the evil Ganon in his adult self. He went to venture off out of Hyrule, "looking for a friend." That friend, many assume, is Navi the fairy. Link is wandering around on Epona in the woods and gets disturbed and later knocked out by two fairies. The fairies are "accomplices" to a rather infamous and the main enemy of this game: The skull-kid. The skull-kid (who is wearing Majora's Mask) goes through Link's items and takes his precious Ocarina of Time! Link then wakes up only to find the skull-kid riding away with the two fairies on Epona! Link grabs on but soon falls off and chases after him. Link then falls into a really big pit where he finds the skull-kid, where he magically changes you into a Deku-Scrub! The skull-kid runs off with one of his fairies, but accidentally leaves the other one behind. It turns out they are siblings, the girl named Tatl, and the boy named Tael. Link is stuck with Tatl (who is pretty much always mean and complaining). Tatl is now the "replacement fairy" for Navi, which is a complete bummer. So what if Navi had a little annoying voice, Tatl's attitude is incessant and cacophonous. After going through a little bit of caverns, you meet a mask salesman who makes Link a deal. If Link finds his precious mask (Majora's Mask) and his ocarina, he will return link to his human form. But Link only has 72 hours. Link then walks through the next door and comes out and finds himself in a new land called Termina. He is in Clock Town, the center of the land. After many trials and tribulations for Link to get his ocarina back (which involved Link going to the top of the tower in Clock Town and confronting the skull-kid {who is trying to end the world by bringing down the moon to earth}, only to get your ocarina and hear Tael say that there are four areas-swamp, mounatin, ocean, canyon-that Link needs to go to so he can "bring those who are there here"), Link turns back time with a song he remembered and goes back to the first day. He then goes to the mask salesman to get turned back into a human and receive a mask that alows him to turn back to a Deku whenever he wants to. However, Link did not get his mask back, so in order to stop the skull-kid and get Majora's Mask, Link must go off to the four (and yes, it's only four) dungeons in each compass direction to bring whatever is there to the skull-kid to beat him up and ultimately save the world. What a mess.
Gameplay:
So the set-up is a lot like Ocarina of Time, with the graphics a little bit ,ore improved, but visually it relates to its predecessor quite often. The button configuration is set up the same, along with the menu. Link has equiped some epic flips whie he is in mid-air, but it's all relatively the same. You are young Link, whcih at first may be slightly disappointing, but later you get used to it and it never really becomes a big deal. Now, because there are only four dungeons (which may be a complaint to some people), you aren't really going to be spending most of you're time in them. Because there are only four heart containers, that makes this zelda game to have the most heart pieces than any other (including twilight princess). So you might be spending a lot of time doing that and other sidequests. And that's the thing. This game has so much more to it if you go through the sidequests. If you really don't care about it and just want to get through the game and not explore the land (I don't know what kind of zelda fan you are if you don't like to explore, I mean, this is an adventure game), you will probably get through this game fast and be disappointed. That is not to say, however, that the dungeons and the main plot is uninteresting, either. The dungeons may be a little weird and feel unnatural to you at first, this game does take some getting used to, but playing around in different forms and being in unigue and original enviroments brings out a whole new feeling, while the classic solving-puzzles and exploring feel from any other zelda is still there. And I do not want to spoil anything, but the last dungeon is absolutey astounding and incredible. It is without a doubt one of my favorite dungeond in the history of zelda, it's that amazing. So the gameplay is turned around, with a few numerical and circumstancial differneces that sure do feel new, but does not stray far from that nostalgic zelda taste that is sure to satisfy.
Presentation (includes depth, story, sound, graphics):
The graphics, as I said, are nothing disappointing, but nothing to adore. They are there and just like OoT, also Link's hair is longe. As for the story, it is much more important. As each new release of a zelda comes out, the more important the story seems to be. The plot for this one is absolutely original. The situation you are thrown into is unlike any other zelda and has a lot more you can find out about. There may not be as much stuff that you have to do, but there sure is a heach of a lot more that you can do. To be truly honest, if I didn't get half of the rewards you get for completeing the sidequests, it wouldn't matter much to me. The reward for me is learning the story, helping the people and feeling what they feel. I know this sounds very corny, escpecially for a video game, but it's what not very many other video games can do. As a bonus, Majora's Mask has many of the same people from Ocarina of Time, but they just have different occupations and different lives, mixed in with some new characters, all like it's in an alternate reality.
As for the music, this game has some ineresting pieces, not as great as Ocarina of Time, I'll give it that, but some weird pieces that are still unsatisfying. The thing is, to me it is obviously not as good as OoT, but it still works and there are still some memerable and some emotional songs in this game, and it works just fine with me.
Overall:
Majora's Mask is an underrated game. I've seen my share of both people who were simply unsatisfied with it and liked OoT better, but I've seen people who say "Of course Majora's Mask is better." One reason in my opinion of why that is could be because the people who view it as a game say OoT was better. But people who view it as a lesson, a moral, an adventure, a whatever their minds thought it to be, said it was fantastic. Or it could simply be this game had high expectations and it was too different for people to take, but it all really comes down to opinion. In my opinion, if I had to tell someone a paragraph about this game before they played it without hearing anything else, I would say this: "Many of the sidequests have so much emotion and meaning put into them, the apocaclyptic situation of "the end of the world" really brings out the soft side and gives so much meaning to all of these characters. You may spend an entire "cycle" of three days trying to help people with problems and look at it after you're done and realize it's all going away. After you play the song of time and return back it's back to the way it was. You can decide to help them again or move on, but sooner or later, you will have to move on. But the way to stop all of the problems and misfortunes is to move on to ultimately beat all four dungeons and the final boss and stop the distruction of the world so every problem is solved. So every story has a happy ending." In my perpective, everyone should at least start to play this game with an open mind. But the truth is, out of the best video game series ever, I honestly do not know which one is the best. But what I do know is that this and all of the other games will be treasured in my heart for the rest of my life.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask   stargaze15
Sequels are never as good as the original, right? Well, for some games, that's true. Playing a sequel to an awesome game can never replicate the feeling you achieved from playing the original. If this is an absolute truth, then Majora's Mask isn't worth playing, is it? Actually, it is. Majora's Mask is one of the few sequels to an amazing game that can actually sell on it's own without having to rely on the fame of its predecessor. While the game is far from perfect, it nonetheless leaves the player happy by the ending.   Released on October 26, 2000, in the United States, this game came just two years after Ocarina of Time, and capitalized on the fame of Ocarina. In this game, Nintendo strove to correct many of the issues players had with Ocarina. Many of the people who developed Ocarina  also developed Majora, with a few small changes in the writing department. One of the biggest disappointments of Ocarina was the lack of a powerful or developed story to drive the gameplay. This has been fixed in Majora's mask, which offers a more in depth main story, as well as very well developed side stories. Unlike its predecessor, Majora's Mask is a game that will make you want to do the side quests, not only for the in game rewards but for the deep and rich lore of the game.   In this installment of The Legend of Zelda, the hero, Link, is no longer in Hyrule. After defeating Ganondorf at the end of Ocarina of Time, Link's fairy friend, Navi, left him. Link then set off on a quest through the Lost Woods in Kokiri forest to find her. After a dramatic fight in the woods, Link ends up without his trust steed, Epona, lacking his precious Ocarina of Time, and lacking his body. Yes, Link has been cursed to walk the earth as a Deku. Hoping to break the curse, Link goes through a door which leads to Termina, a land outside of the Kokiri Forest. And, as is Link's style, he gets caught up trying to save the entire world from destruction when the moon threatens to crush the Earth in three days. This sets up the rest of the game, which is frustratingly based on time. Time flows onward in Majora's Mask, much like it did in Ocarina of Time, but what with the moon falling and such, Link must complete his journey in three days. Luckily, the Song of Time played from Link's ocarina will turn back the flow of time, causing Link to start back on day one of his adventure. Unfortunately, this means that Link loses all of the rupees he hasn't stored in the bank, as well as all of his ammo and items. Quests also reset when time goes backwards, meaning that if you find that you've run out of time in the middle of a quest and must reset the clock, you're going to have to do that quest all over again. This poses a particularly acute problem in some of the longer side quests, a few of which must be started on day one and continue all the way to the last few minutes of life on night three. Now, onto scores.Graphics: This game has very good graphics for the time. It uses the same3D polygon based graphics of its predecessor, but improves upon the details greatly. A very solid 10/10.Sound: One of the greatest aspects of Ocarina of Time was its soundtrack, and Majora's Mask is no different. While few of the tunes from Ocarina have made a return, there are many new tunes to take their place. The songs are so catchy, in fact, that I distinctly remember being grounded by my mother when I first played this game because I would never stop whistling the main theme =)Addictiveness: This is a game that you won't want to stop playing. The constant treat of getting new items, upgrading your health, and finding new masks makes for hours of entertainment.Story: The story is quite riveting. Unlike Ocarina of Time, which focused more on gameplay and less on story, Majora's Mask gives you a lore based reason as to why Link is going through all of these dungeons, slaying countless monsters, collecting endless amounts of rupees.Depth: The combination of hours of gameplay and an amazing story means that this game is deeper than any Zelda games that came before it. While the main quest line itself is noticeably shorter than that of its predecessor, the numerous and deeply involving side quests develop the land of Terminus more than the land of Hyrule was developed in all of Ocarina of Time. Difficulty: The Legend of Zelda series was never meant to be a hardcore game series. While Majora's Mask poses greater tactical difficulty in defeating some of the bosses, the overall challenge of the game is minimal. Those who are used to the controls and combat system of the game, which haven't changed from Ocarina of Time, will find no difficulty in slaying any beast that dares impede your progress.   Majora's Mask is an amazing sequel to an amazing game. The story and graphics are greatly improved, and the classic gameplay is fun for new players and veterans players alike. Though the main quest is on the short side, and some of the time based gameplay elements can become frustrating at times, Majora's Mask is still a great game. It cannot mimic the epic feel of its predecessor, but it still gives off a fun, though somewhat creepy vibe. This game is definitely worth playing for young and old gamers alike.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask   MydnightDevil
I'm pretty sure that I might be over-exaggerating my ratings, but I'm doing it based off the emulator game. It provides a good experience overall. However, I think it would be easier on one of the game consoles, mainly because if you don't have a USB controller, it's going to be hard to adjust to the controls on the keyboard. It's also harder to save; meaning you have to play more before you can actually save. Graphics on the emulator is pretty good; but they leave off some stuff. Examples would be the pictures from the Pictograph, a constant black line after Link plays a song (the little film clip), and some glitches on the background. I have played game's sequels and it is fun to see where the game makers got their ideas in the future games. Example: Monkeys - Chimps seen in Twilight Princess; Deku Flowers - Baba Buds in WindWaker; Flower Glider (in Deku Form) - Deku Leaf in WindWaker. I honestly like this game, but there is some work that can be done.

Majora's Mask Reveiw   sephen
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was my all time favorite game for the 64. For the most part its like the first but the game play of this one was a bit off for me since it was revolved around the masks for just about everything you did. The graphics were the same as the first which for the 64 the could not do better and the sound was a bit bland for me since it was just about the same you would hear in the first. The story line for this one was a bit much considering it was based on the three day time factor but that actually helped it out for my prospective I liked that feature from the game. The only thing I really did not like about the game was the fact that you had to collect the masks and that was a pain for me to do but all in all the game was amazing to me.

The Legeng Of Zelda Majoras Mask Review   nightwolf0
The game Majoras Mask was an amazing game and a very enjoyable one in fact and to bring such a great game to Vizzed for millions of people to play you guys from Vizzed rock
so first is the graphics I give the graphics a solid 10/10 the graphics were very clear to see and was really good even better than ocarina of time it did miss some shading properties example the mist in the forest but it was actually more clearer how it is now making it a lot better to see for most players. Graphics did have a few problems here and there but nothing major just misplaced of some positions however it did only show 2 hearts for me this isn't a huge problem since its just once heart gone but for others it could be a problem
sound I give a 9/10 since some sounds got cut off and kind of looped so it was very weird and the sound sometimes confused me since I couldn't hear some of the sound or it was very faint on one side of the speakers now this can throw people off such as not hearing an enemy or such but for me again not a major problem with the game play
the addictiveness was definitely a 10/10 this game is so addicting no matter if its on the n64 on Vizzed or on any system! This game had me just playing it and not stopping to eat sleep etc that's how addicted I was to this game so you guys made a right choice to add it to this website since people will be playing it for hours.
the story was really good I give it a 10/10 it kept on having me on the edge of my seat I was amazed by the characters in the story and the history of the characters and how the history of the skull kid and the mask was unravelling. This story wasn't as long as ocarina of time but it still was great to learn the history of this strange new land and to continue fighting monsters thus making the story way more interesting as it got further into the game
the depth of the game is definitely a 10/10 there was so much to do in the game from many many side quests to fun mini games to keep your mind off the fact that the moon is falling (lol). There were many masks with many powers to help in the game and side quests and even some items helped you "cheat" on games example the mask of truth on the dog racing game with arrow shooting galleries to hunting down golden spiders there was so much things to do in this game
the difficulty of this game was an 8/10 the game was medium difficulty figuring out puzzles and chasing a particular giant skeleton (you know who) but also on Vizzed the controls were very annoying to use and I couldn't change them since double click was broken but I'm sure Vizzed will fix it when they can but I will deal with it for now anyways back on topic the game was fairly easy and it was fun trying to figure out boss fights such and the goron one where it was annoying with the spikes and bombs and one big one was the well and great bay temple (just like the water temple from OOT so many places to go and NO DIRECTIONS ahem sorry about that) but all and all this game was hard and easy
overall was a 9.8/10 excuse me for a moment *plays epic Zelda motivation music* this game was awesome my determination on conquering any obstacles was very huge due to the great concepts of this game. Many people would stop at nothing and I mean nothing to enjoy the satisfaction of beating this game and achieving victory! No other obstacle was greater than preventing the moon from crashing into Termina and all of links (and yours) previous escapades (and I don't want to hear another time line theory) prepared him for this one adventure to prevent the horrible fate of Termina turning into a ball of fire! *music ends* well all and all this game was AWESOME and I'm sure many other people will enjoy it as well

The Legend after the Legend   Steve The Mew H..
Ocarina of Time was one of the greatest games for the 64, and Majora's Mask can easily be described as just as good. If you have only played one, you HAVE to play the other.
When it comes to the games graphics, it was one of the best games for N64. In its day, it was amazing how life like Link's actions were. Even today it's impressive, even though you can see the polygons. What can you expect for a game of it's age? The answer, less than this game provides. Easily a 10 in this category.
Sound wise it was hard to tell, due to the vizzed caused problems, but the music that I could hear, was amazing. When comparing it to OoT, I myself prefer Majora's Mask. Why? The Termina Field theme, also know as, The Legend Of Zelda Overworld Theme. IT'S THE MOST POPULAR SONG IN THE SERIES!!! So, despite problems hearing the sound, I still vote 10.
If you ask me if I would play this game again, my answer would be "HECK YEAH!!!" There are somethings that you just have to experience again and again and again. But with this game, you don't have to restart it to do that. Well, for most things anyways. 9.
The story of any Legend of Zelda game is good. And not only is this story good, it still leaves you with many questions. Did Link ever find his cherished friend? Is Majora really gone forever? So, I would have to give it a 10.
The game's controls were slightly difficult, mainly due to me forgetting which keys I set for which buttons. That and how the lens of truth didn't work that well due to vizzed. But no real problems from the game itself. I'm going to rate it a 6 though.
All and all, a game worthy of being part of the Legend of Zelda series. Over all rating, 10, no doubt about it.

Wow, Majora's Mask   jaws123
I made first one and got good reports on that so I decided to make another one, here it goes...
GRAPHICS:  10/10
The graphics in this game are really good. All the animations and buildings are top notch for Nintendo 64. They are just like the other Zelda, Ocarina of Time. The monsters and people all look pretty good and are identifiable. The Bosses are especially good. Some how Nintendo can create the most awesome and most creative monsters out there. I also enjoyed how each creature you turned into when using their mask had their own unique instrument.
SOUND:  8/10
The sounds and music are also very good. Some of the temple music drives me crazy with fury and frustration but i think it was kind of the purpose of the music. I have to say though I do like the music for Ocarina of Time better then in this game. The songs you play on your instrument just aren't as catchy as in Ocarina of time. Same as Ocarina of time, your player makes a little yell when you make a special movement with different ones per movement.
ADDICTIVENESS:  8/10
I was really hooked on this game, after playing Ocarina of Time i was eager for more of the games. I was not disappointed, I was hooked on this game almost as bad as the previous zelda. The story really pulled me in for more. Not to mention the excitement I felt when I got a new mask was unbearable and made you yearn for the next mask.
STORY: 10/10
The story is a little complex and hard to explain without leaving spoilers. You are looking for a lost friend when you are ambushed by the skull kid wearing a strange mask. You find out later that the skull kid had stolen the mask from the traveling happy mask merchant. The rest of the story is you trying to get to the point where you and find and defeat the skull kid and stop him form crashing the moon onto Clock Town.
DEPTH:  10/10
There is so play time in this game. I have to say that this is a bigger game then Ocarina of Time. The fast that you have three days until you have to rewind time so the moon doesn't crash into clock town really puts a twist into the hole thing. There are so many side quests and other masks to gather it can be VERY time consuming.
DIFFICULTY:  9/10
This game is HARD. As i said the hole rewinding time every 3 days really makes this game is a lot harder then it normally would be. A cool thing about rewinding time is that you can re- fight bosses and temples. The hole point of the temples is to collect the boss mask form each one and be on your way. But when you rewind time you have no longer beaten the temple or the boss, but you still have the mask you gained so you don't have to do the whole thing over again.
OVERALL: 9.9/10
This is a great game! If you enjoyed Ocarina of Time you will love Majora's Mask. I have to say that Majora's Mask is more of a challenge and is not for people who are not true zelda fans. This game deserves a 9.9 out of 10!

Majora's mask review   crazycatpup
Zelda majora's mask Is a wonderful game that I'm sure everyone would enjoy playing as Long as they don't mind short times to get things done.
Graphics: 9
The graphics are quiet wonderful actually, Like in the snow temple It is the most amazing sight and I have to say the Nintendo people did A great job with the effects when you put on the mask, the Zora mask was the one that creeped me out when putting it on as the face was just creepy but either way the graphics are almost perfect.
Sound: 5
The sound was pretty good but It glitches out a lot and I find myself playing without the sound about half the time.
The songs are new and quiet fun the only song that is not new would be that of the song of time in which comes back from the game Zelda Oot.
Addictiveness: 6
As I have said before this game is amazing and Deffintely something to try out
The fact that you only have a certain amount of time Might compel some to play more to get things done
For some they might find it more of a bother than anything and get mad
either way I found myself that Playing around with the masks was very addictive taking me a few extra hours to get the game beat. so even If You don't want to play the full story and just wanted to play with one of the masks It's still absolute fun.
Story: 7
The story is also fun, You have 3 days to get things done before the world ends but a twist you can go back In time
to bad every time you do you lose items you don't need like rupees to bombs. I liked the story line It was fun to play A great part to the story was The characters you chart in your Bombers Notebook. keeping track of what each characters does at specific times on each day was really fun to see how all the events for each of these characters play out
Depth: 6
Majora's Mask is filled with a lot of quests and objectives. The dungeons are huge aswell, but there's only 4 and they are not really that hard to beat leaving the game at a lost of depth.
Difficulty: 8
The game is not at all that difficult unless you want to finish it all the way through and get the great fairy sword in which case It adds more difficulty, The bosses are actually really easy to beat If you have the right stuff and The dungeons are easy to get through.
Overall: 9.0
This game is average. It is fun to play and overall It'll give you a little of a challenge with the whole 3 day time limit.
It is a great game for the n64 I really suggest trying it out for yourself.

legend of zelda majoras mask redo review   ender44
Hey guys, this is Ender44 here doing a review of my personal favorite, the legend of Zelda, Majora's mask. And yeah, I did a review of this a couple of months ago, but I didn't go into detail, and spent the entire time talking about how much I love it, and not why you should. Majora's mask was the last game to be released on the Nintendo 64. And it has a pretty funny back story. While working on ura Zelda, Aomuma, one of Zelda's main developers, bargained with Myamoto, who is basically Nintendo personified, that if he could make a game within a year, they wouldn't have to work on Ura Zelda. And BOOM, they did it. And it sparked into what I consider the best thing we human beings have going for us. In case you haven't noticed yet, I love this game. Lets get into the review.
Graphics-
As previously stated, this was the last game released on the N64, and is subsequently the best looking N64 game out there. It re-uses a lot of characters from ocarina of time, making the Cucco lady Anju, making Malon Romani, and making grog a mohawked farmer. It also makes use of the graphics engine from Ocarina of time, but polishes up a few parts, taking away some of the parts that were just cardboard in ocarina of time (I'm references most of castle town when I say made of cardboard, in case you didn't notice while you played through it). So yeah, the graphics are basically a polished ocarina of time, which is really good for an N64 game. And into the next part of the graphics. Zeldadungeon.net has done an article about this and I really agree. The majoras mask team did a great job of giving the environment "That ominous feeling" The look of termina (which looks like terminal if you didn't notice, also terminate) is just, bleak. They did a fantastic job of making this place look like, a genuinely sad place. Personally for me, it was the dungeons and the astral observatory. In the astral observatory, the blend of colors makes it look just... man its hard to describe, some of you know what I mean, the astral observatory really enforces the ominous feeling, especially when you are felling the earthquakes of the final day.
Sound- Man, I love the music in this game. I go to sleep to the song of healing every night and the music also helps reinforce that ominous feeling. So much so that some of the music made it into the Ben creepypasta which, that's a whole other can of worms I am not looking to open. Termina field had great music, I'm listening to that song as I type this. And the music sets the mood of this game so well ( I seem to say that a lot) listen to it, you'll see my point.
Addictiveness- Ive played and beaten this game six times. Its awesome. This game has a ton of replay value. The side quests can get a little drawn out at some points, but the story they present, and the satisfied feeling you get of helping save these people lives with the side quest and the main quest, is very satisfying. Making you want to play the game again even more. Though, the difficulty of multiple parts in the game can make you want to stop playing.
Story- (spoilers of random parts) Oh boy, I love this part. Majoras mask is praised for its story especially by me. Majoras mask is said by many to pull at your heart strings seamlessly and yeah, I believe that. You start the game as Link. You've beaten ganondorf, You've saved Zelda, You've traveled across time. How much trouble can one Imp be? Quite a bit of trouble. This imp has taken majoras mask, a mask housing a demonic entity with the assumed name of majora. The skull kid with his new power wreck havoc with termina and turns you into a tiny deku scrub. You eventually make your way to clock town, the main town in a land far away from  hyrule, a land called termina. Our hero is brought head first into the middle, or end I might say, of the evil majoras wrath. Termina's lone satellite has been drawn out of orbit, and is three days away from destroying everything.  You, the hero of time, must use your powers of time, and your courage to destroy the evil majora. But, Majora has done so much more. Majora has wrecked the lives of so many people in termina. And you alone, without them realizing it, can help them. Kafei has been turned into a child, days before his wedding. The postman wants to run for his life, but hold his job as a priority. A monkey is to be killed for a crime he didn't commit. A goron hero is powerless to save his people. Mikau a Zora guitarist is unable to save the babies of the one he loves. And people in a valley fight a war long since finished. And majora sits, waiting for you.
Depth- For a four dungeon game, there is quite a bit to do. There are 25 masks to collect, tons of heart pieces, four dungeons as previously stated, and yeah, TONS of side quests.
Difficulty- This game is really hard. I couldn't of beaten it without massive abuse of a walk through and hours of game play. Some of the side quests require on the dot punctuality, or having to restart the whole thing. The dungeons are INCREDIBLY difficult, and the masks are hard to get. I would recommend a walk through.
And that's it, the legend of Zelda majoras mask. About a thousand words, maybe  putting me in the running for the red jersey! Mupen64 plus is the emulator I would recommend although it tends to leave out a few little things that can add up to be pretty annoying. It doesn't show the little target when you Z target, it doesn't show what time it is on the clock, and you cant really open up the menu to change the controls. Well, that's about all I have to say about this game besides, play it, its really awesome.

The Legend Of Zelda - Majora's Mask   epicpokenerd!
This game is just as good as its predecessor the ocarina of time, if not better. I have played it only on the wii, so I don't know if it is more complicated or easier here on vizzed. It is one of the greatest Zelda games of all times, and was later added to the virtual console. It has a ton to offer, and it takes forever to beat. The game has absolutely amazing everything, from graphics to difficulty, and is in my top ten favorite games list. It is the 6th game in the series, and was made April 27, 2000. Unlike in ocarina of time, this one takes place in termina, an alternate version of Hyrule. If anyone knows about this game, I highly recommend playing it. Well, on with the review.
Graphics
: an easy win over me. 10/10. This games graphics are even better than those of ocarina, if you can believe it. I suggest either playing it on the 3DS, here on vizzed, or on the wii, because playing it on the N64 requires the expansion pak. It is an easily believable turn of the century game, and at the time one of the few 3D games. The coloration in this is even better and brighter than in ocarina of time, if you can believe it.
Sound: again, easily a 10/10. The sound is just as good as in ocarina, there are more songs to learn, and you play them more often. Just as I gave ocarina of time, I give this a good review because it has sound that rivals that of ocarina, and again has a great echo job.
Addictiveness: it has won me over with its amazingness, so I have to rate it 10/10. I will always love this game and always be playing it, no matter how many times I have beaten it, which so far is a big fat 0. This game has so much in it to unlock, and plenty of secrets in it. I am sure to play it many times in my life, even as I grow older and older. I could even for play it for weeks at a time just to get the sense of accomplishment of getting everything there is to get.
Story: the story in this is way more complex and intricate than in ocarina, so I give it another 10/10. I mean, the story is good, but it is very hard to follow, especially towards the end of the game, where the origin of the mask is revealed and it gets super complicated. If you don't want to get lost, you literally HAVE to listen to everything. I'm sure you will still get lost, but as long as you listen, you wont get as lost.
Depth: this is a very, big game. 10/10. There are tons of things to unlock, tons of places to visit, and even more bosses. There are just as much, if not more pieces of heart to get in majora's mask then in ocarina of time. The depth fits right in with the story, how the farther and deeper into the game you get, the more intricate and twisted the story becomes.
Difficulty: this game is way harder than ocarina, so its got a 10/10. Even in the beginning, its really hard because of the time limit. It takes so long to try and find the bomber club members in half a day game time, there isn't a single simple level in the game, even at the beginning of the game. This is by far one of the most complex games, not just legend of Zelda games, but one of the most complex games out there. It is extremely challenging.
Overall: A surely guaranteed 10/10. It is one of the best ever, and right up there with ocarina of time. If you have played ocarina, then you have to play this one. It is the legend after the legend. The story isn't as famous as it is in ocarina, but it is just as good. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, and when I play it I feel like I AM Link, not just playing as him. And another thing I like a bit more than ocarina, it isn't quite as surprising and frightening. But it is still all there, and all good.

alsonic reviews: Majora's Mask   alsonic
This is my favorite Zelda game of all time, so lets get started.
Majora's Mask was released in the year 2000 for the N64. It was a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time and made in under 2 years, so they reused NPC models to quicken the process of delevopment. The story begins with our little green hat Link as he is looking for his fairy friend Navi. While looking in the Lost Woods, he is ambushed and knocked outed by 2 fairies. (Their names are Tatl and Tael.) Then Skull Kid, wearing an odd mask comes out of the mist and steals your Ocarina. Link wakes up and Skull Kid hid the Ocarina behind his back (in a funny way) and jumped up in the air and stole Epona, your horse. Then you chase him, then you fall into a hole. Skull kid is floating in the air and turns you into a Deku Scrub. You go through some catacombs with Tatl (since she was left behind) and you enter The clock tower. You meet the Happy Mask Salesman and he promises to you if Link gets the mask back from Skull Kid, He'll turn you back to normal. This story is as I see it very compelling since you later find out, it's 3 days until the apocapylse. The normal story is quite bland, but then you find the real deal. Side quests. The game is surrounded by them. You can do the Creamia and Romani side quest or you can do the longest side quest, The Anju and Kafei side quest. The side quests add depth to the story as you progress, and I really like that.
Story: 8/10
Depth:9/10
Addictiveness: 8.5/10 Since the world's about to end, you really have a push to complete the game for the NPCs won't die. (Except Tingle, I want him to burn in the inferno )
Game play: 9.5/10 This game has really good game play. The controls are stiff, the dungeons in this game are full of puzzles, and there might be bad things puzzles (like the one in the Great Bay Temple? But all is forgiven.
Sound: 10/10 The music is the best in the series. I sometimes just stay in the Stone Tower Temple to just hear the music.
Graphics: 7.5/10 The graphics are FAR better then Ocarina of Time, but this shows some age with the polygons.
Difficulty: 9.5/ 10 This game is, in my opinion, the hardest Zelda game in exisitence. But it's fun to play .
Overall: 9.5/10 This game might have a darker story then most Zelda games, but it is easily forgiven with great Temple design, memorable NPCs, and a superb story. I recommend to any Zelda fans for a good challenge. (Don't try this game if your a Zelda newbie, it get pretty hard.)

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask   Domenite
WOW, and I thought Ocarina of Time was a masterpiece.
This is Majora's Mask, an N64 game released in 2000, and let me just say, this is as good, if not better, than Ocarina of Time. Now, don't get me wrong, Ocarina of Time was an amazing game. I still remember the days when me and my friend would grab some Cokes and try to get through the Water Temple (actually, that was last year). I'm pretty young, but I can still tell a good game when I see one (I'd take an old school game over Black-Ops any day . . . unlike most twelve year olds). However, when I played Majora's Mask on the Virtual Console, I was amazed. It was seriously that good. I couldn't imagine that any game could even come CLOSE to bettering OoT, and yet here was Majora's Mask, an under appreciated gem that single handedly 1-upped everything about Ocarina of Time, and here's how.
STORY: AMAZING. Truly SPECTACULAR. It seems that Myimoto got tired of the 'cute' story lines of past Zelda games, because MM has a very creepy, sinister, and downright disturbing plot. After the events of OoT, Link sets off on a journey to find his fairy, Navi, with his horse, Epona. He ends up in a mysterious woods, and as he rides Epona in deeper, two fairies named Tatl and Tael attack Epona, who shakes Link off and knocks him out. The main (or at least thought) antagonist, the Skull Kid, who was the same skull kid from OoT, shows up wearing Majora's Mask, and steals Link's OoT. Link wakes up, chases the Skull Kid, one thing leads to another, but most importantly, Link has three days to live. The side quests of this game have stories that weave into the glorious main story, and each has a different feel. The Anju and Kafei sidequest will have you cry like a baby, the "Them" problem at Romani Ranch will give you nightmares (like I did, MAN that music is freaky), and the Pamela's Father incident will have you s***ting your pants in horror when you finish it. It's amazing.
GRAPHICS: PERFECT. Textures are crisp and clear, and the water effects are brilliant. Not much to say here.
DIFFICULTY: HOLY s***. This game is HARD! Me and my friend I mentioned earlier can't get through any temples without a guide. That's a problem in most Zelda games; It doesn't give enough direction or guidance to the point that it's boring. Gyorg is a b****, so be prepared to get your balls cut off by a fish.
OVERALL: This game is just amazing. Do yourself a big favor and grab a friend, some Coke, and enjoy this game. You won't be sorry.

Majora's Mask Review   dazzsheil
Following perfection is no easy task and Majoras Mask is the prime example of Near, but not enough.Releeased in the year 2000,Majoras Mask is the 6th Core entry into Nintendo's Legend of Zelda franchise and quite frankly the darkest title to date in the series and the weirdest.Read on to find out why.
GRAPHICS: One of the most detailed N64 Games to date, utilizing the N64's processors to the max and over, thanks to the expansion pak ,which allowed 4MB Extra RAM On the N64 Hardboard. The animations are great but there is some noticeable slowdown sometimes but it's so minimal you barely notice it.
SOUND: Definitely the best sounding N64 Game to date. Re-Mixing the original Zelda theme and adding in already stellar tracks to the Ocarina of Time soundtrack........truly awesome. It's so appropriate to the dark atmosphere.
ADDICTIVENESS: Majora's Mask operates on a time restricted basis, meaning if you don't accomplish the tasks you need to do in the 3 day time limit, you'll have to do it all over again and again and again. But that's the fun part,if you that kind of person.
STORY: In 3 Days, the moon will fall on the land of Termina. A young lad from Hyrule named Link is forced to stop the moon and the Skull Kid from destroying Termina. On the way,Link will meet some interesting characters like Tatl,Tingle,Anju and Kafei.
DEPTH: Majora's Mask is filled to the brim with quests and objectives for all of the characters you chart in your Bombers Notebook. This keeps track of what each characters does at specific times on each day.Its really fun to see all the events for each of these characters play out. The dungeons are huge aswell, but theres only 4 or 5.
DIFFICULTY: One of the harder Zelda's,but its a bit short considering the dungeon count. The time limit keeps you on your toes.
Theres nothing wrong with Majora's Mask,it's just not quite what we were hoping for after the excellence that was Ocarina of Time. Give this game a try.Download for the Virtual Console for only 1000 Wii Points. I give The Legend of Zelda:Majora's Mask an Amazing 9/10

Majora's Mask.   SilverHyruler
Majora's Mask is one of the darker entry's in the series, and I love it. I mean, it's so creepy. Those who have played it will know what I mean. Now, into the review. One great part of the game is the story. Basically, in the beginning, Link is riding through the woods on Epona, and a strange child known as "Skull Kid" steals her and rides off. When you get to where the main game takes place, you meet a guy named "The Happy Mask Salesman who tells you about a mask with terrible, but great powers. However, your a Deku Scrub, and the salesman tells you that he'll fix you, as long as you find the mask for him. Play the game to find out the rest! I rated this a ten out of ten, and I am not being a buttkisser. Now, lets discuss the sound and graphics. Seeing as how the graphics are about on par with console, I'll rate it a seven. The sound on the other hand is great! When songs are special abilities, you kind of need good sound, or that aspect won't be too enjoyable. I'd give this part an eight. For depth, I'd rate it a measly five, despite the epic story, simply because it's not that long. The difficulty isn't too high either, because it's not really that hard. However I'd definitely play this again, so addictiveness gets a nine. The thing about this game is it's bigger than itself. If you are afraid of losing your friends, Skull Kid's story will speak to you, and things like that.

Majoras mask sequel to Loz of ocarina of time   SuperCrash64
Alright continuing on from ocarina  of time Were you just finished off gannondorf And with the sages help Sealed him  So after that battle was fought  Zelda made link give the ocarina of time to her  So Zelda Played the song of time on him so Link Can relive his skipped 7 years of his past. The reason For his  childhood years being skipped Was because Link Had  Pulled the Master sword out. Opening The Temple of time and allowing gannondorf To Take the triforce and Try and rule hryule . To Prevent Gannondorf the Sages sealed Link In there and when it was time. He had been awakened by 1 of 7 sages  Navy the fairy Realizing He was all grown up  And finally Before the final battle happened Link had to Get the Sages and awaken them to help use their strength against Gannondorf And Seal him once and for all.  This is the Squeal To after Link got sent back to relive his childhood by Zelda in Ocarina of Time. This is the Majoras Mask review
Plot First off Heres what happened  A Happy Mask sells men Was heading to Clock town and on his way  He got knocked out by the Majora's Mask. Skull kid Then Wore The Majora's Mask to change his appearance and he thought it would look cool on him .So In a attempt The Mask eventually Took over Skull Kid and Skull kid could not fight back because he was corrupted . Then The happy mask sells men  Tells link he needs to get that mask Back From skull kid. Because The Majora's mask  alone The Happy Mask sells men  Feared That something horrible would happen in 3 days And Plus That was only how Long he could stay in the town before he had to leave. So you would see that Big Moon With a Freaky face.Skull kid was going to use That moon.and cause The Town to Be destroyed a big Explosion wave or aka A terrible fate Said the Happy mask sells men . Skull kid was not originally like that he was sad because everyone hated him and he had no friends So the fairies would be his friends and accompany him he was only bad because the Majora's mask corrupted him .There is an opening Intro Featuring Skull kid corrupted by the Mask. And with help of His Fairies  They stole Links Horse And his ocarina. Then When link finally catches Up He ended up getting a Curse from skull kid turning into 1 of those plant things  And he got rid of his horse by trading it  it to a farm.  So that's the storyline of the game.
Graphics sense this was Rather the Squeal to Ocarina of time I would say these Graphics are again very nicely matched.Well Detailed Sprites are again a little Sloppy but The Nintendo 64 is an old system so you have to give credit were credit is due. Stages Have all their usual Zelda detail. Like ocarina of time There are paths you need to take. That being a forest path. A ice path. Water path. An A desert path. All Paths or Stages really look great as well detailed if you compare this to Ocarina of time.Graphics gets a 10 well true to its predecessor the ocarina of time. And they look really nice none the less.
Sound wise. All sound effects are that of the Young link And when you shapesnift into A mask character Even The Fierce Deilty Links Mask voice samples is that of ocarina of time Which again adds some good sense of familiar things. Soundtrack The Soundtrack is great. The Main theme songs are The clock town themes And Nintendo even went as far as remaking the classic Nes original Zelda theme for this game Some Songs had been taking from ocarina of time for example when you go find the Boat Person And following the monkey that guides you. You will hear Saria's song Although shes not in this game. Sound also gets a 10 all sounds seem just right and the Soundtrack is good in this game,
Addictiveness. I Would probably play this game once in a while because the  Time limit gets frustrating as you play  But that's not to say the game is not enjoyable I find it addicting for its great challenge again and good music. Addictiveness gets a 6
Story Explained in plot. I will rate it a 8 its pretty sick and twisted a storyline that I can really enjoy.
Depth . If you compare this to Ocarina of time This is pretty a short game. Because There aren't simply enough dug eons to keep it long lasting there are at least about 5 dungeons in the game. And some bosses can be pretty easy with the power up mask you are given,Depth would get a 6 in my case
Difficulty 6 its somewhere around easy and hard. Its easy if you have the Delta's mask or a really powerful upgraded sword. But it can be difficult if you don't Controls work fine. All scheme is that of the previous game so you should get used to it pretty quick.
Alright that's it for this review Final ratings 9.0  Its good but ocarina of time is better do to the longer dungeons and harder bosses.

Truly a great game   DragonSlayer22
This game was a really good game. It required an expansion pack to work on the Nintendo 64, as it was a bigger game than Ocarina of Time, never less, lets start.
Graphics: 8 The models and textures look actually pretty good for the console. As it uses the expansion pack to play the game because of its size. The game looks more detailed than it's precursor and still somewhat holds up to this day. They are what made up the story and the atmosphere of the game itself and what makes you feel like you are in the game.
Sound: 8 The sound to this game is good. The music is memorable and will keep you playing the game as it is nice to listen to. You have unique songs that change on what day you are on such as when you are in Clock Town and the music and attitudes of the people change. It makes the game just that much better than its precursor. The sound effects are standard for a Zelda game, there is nothing really new other than the sound of the bells in the clock in Clock Town when the time of day changed (even today that sound is spooky) and made the game feel like it was all on you to decide what happens to the town and the rest of the world.
Addictiveness: 7 I would have rated it higher, but it is a fun game, don't get me wrong, but the frame rate is terrible as it is set at around 15-20 frames per second. The 3.D. version has a better frame rate and is the one that you should play, now before anyone gets mad at me saying that I insulted their game, it is still a fun game that you should play to this day. Also, about the frame rate, with an emulator you can put it up to the PC standard of 60 frames per second, but it looks broken at that point. It was designed for 20 frames per second game play and that may be why the programmers made it stuck to 20.
Story: 7
The story starts with Link about a year or two after Ocarina of Time going to the Lost Woods to find Navi, his fairy from the last game, when he meets Skull Kid, an Imp with the desire to have power, and he robs you and steals your Horse, Epona, and turns you into a Deku shrub. The rest of the Story unravels from there and keeps unraveling until the very end. It has so much to it that it would take at least around 4 paragraphs for me to explain (no joke, I tried).
Depth: 8
There is a LOT to do in this game and what is done affects your time while playing the game. It is truly amazing how many side quests and missions there are to do. It is a good game with big dungeons that you can do at your own pace along with traveling in time to do certain events. It is really cool for its time and I have not really seen a game that could do better than this.
Difficulty: 9 This game is fun and all, but I had a hard time playing it, as the game and the dungeons are confusing at times and will make you search the internet in hopes of finding a solution to the puzzle. You will find it out some time, and that is how you can finish it. Trial and error.
OVERALL: 9.1
It is a great game that anyone should have, even if you do not own a Nintendo 64, just have it sitting on your shelf regardless.

LoZ Majora's Mask The Dealeo   Nincompoco
Aah, one of my favorite games ever. Sadly I made a long summary of the whole game but my computer restarts on it's own if i miss an update and i lost 3000 words of love (i was only at the half way point too, so maybe it was TOO long?) . So this time, short and 2000+ words sweet. 45 down, 1955 to go T_T...
So this game is a sequel to the child timeline, if Link beats Ganondorf and returns to his childhood like the official ending of Ocarina of Time. So link goes on young Epona looking for a lost valuable friend, who many consider Navi and a few subtle hints tell us so, in the outskirts of Hyrule. He is ambushed by a skull kid, you know, the duck people from lost woods, and two fairies, Tatl and Tael. Only he's wearing a spiky heart mask with big red-yellow eyes. He steals Epona and the ocarina of time and leaves. You chase after him and fall down a big hole and is turned into a deku scrub. Tatl was too busy messing with you and was left behind. She blames you for some reason and you head to a clock tower and meet an old friend, the happy mask salesman. HMS says he saw the whole thing and can turn you back if you get your belongings and his mask back within 3 days before he "leaves town".
Now I will give you the sum of the whole game so prepare for spoilers!
Now you may notice two weird things in Termina. For 1, everyone you know is here, but don't know you, have different jobs names and personalities, and 2nd, why is the moon out at the day, doesn't move, has a creepy face and is getting BIGGER!? I mean sweet christmas... this is already making me doubt the people who made this game rated E10+. So we do errands like fix the abomination known as the great fairy, gain trust of the bombers, and witness some things like a dispute over the moon supposedly falling (sweet christmas anything but that freaky moon) a robbery, an inn keeper Anju getting a letter from a lost friend, and the moon shooting a rock from it's eye, we'll be needing that. On the final six hours (or six minutes i should say) give the moon tear to a deku scrub near the tower in south clock town and parachute to your first piece of heart and the skull kid. Apparently he's caused not only drastic pranks around Termina, but is responsible for putting the moon on a collision course to earth and is probably why it has a face like that O_O. Tael will say something about a swamp, mountain, ocean, and valley before getting slapped by skull kid. So use the power the great fairy gave you of shooting snot bubbles and knock the ocarina out of skull kids hand. Then you will remember the song of time and turn the ocarina into deku pipes to play the song and go back to the beginning of the 3 days.
Talk to HMS and he will be overjoyed you got the ocarina back and teach you a song to play on the ocarina. The song turns the spirit of the deku curse into a mask you can use to turn into a deku and back anytime you want. He will however lose it when he learns you couldn't get skull kid's mask back. He explains the mask, Majora's Mask, was used in ancient hexing rituals and was sealed away so it wouldn't use it's dark powers. HMS sensed it would be used again and tried with all his might to secure the mask, but then he was mugged by skull kid. So he begs you to help him save the world. To do this you need to go to the 4 corners of Termina and unleash the power of the red giants and use the oath to order (great song btw) to get them to push the moon back. No pressure on a little kid, right?
So along the way you will find the witches of Twinrova, but they now make potions and serve as tour guides, as well as give you your'e first bottle to help the one another. The deku palace isn't open to humans, and deku's need buisness as well, but you can enter to watch monkey punishment^_^. After sneaking into the cage you find out the princess was kidnapped and they think it was him. So you go to the swamp temple and stop the monster Odwala and free the princess who then takes it out on her dad for being so rash and stupid. You also can summon the first giant, but it won't do you any good without the other 3.
With the bow from the first temple you can go north, and you soon learn it should be spring but the mountain is freezing cold. You meet up with the owl (you met him on you're way to the first temple and termina owl is actually more helpful and knows the meaning of personal space) who shows you some invisible platforms that lead to the lens of truth. With them you see the spirit of Darmani who was killed in an attempt to save his people from the cold.(it was all biggorons fault>_<) To cure his soul play the song of healing and he will become a mask to lend his power to you. As a goron you can roll and have extra strength. While testing your'e new punch you see the goron elder frozen in ice. You go get hot spring water to melt him and he sees you as Darmani and teaches you part of the gorons lullabye to play to his crying son on the goron drums. The son in turn teaches you the rest and you can use the song to put the sneezing biggoron to sleep so you can pass and NOT die like Darmani did. At the end of the mountain you race against Goht, a giant mechanical goat what else? After ramming his butt a few times he dies and you awaken not only the giant of the mountains, but the spring that was meant to come.
Next up you need to talk to medigoron, not a normal size goron but not as big as biggoron. He tests you on powder keg usage and lets you use them elsewhere. You can open Romani Ranch if it isn't already open and Malon AKA Romani now isn't looking good. Go back and she will be fine, but say aliens will come at 1:30. So help her out with that and be sure to use the song of reverse time or else you will have to deal with so many fast aliens. If you keep them away from the barn till' morning you will get a bottle of milk and forever be able to summon Epona again, but you could anyways without saving the ranch... but if you don't... *shiver*.
So now you can go west to the ocean and find a dying zora named Mikau. He's dying, but that won't stop him from giving you a guitar solo explanation. Skull kid told Gerudo pirates they could sell the eggs of zora's for a high price. They took the eggs of the singer of the band Mikau is in, Lulu, and she lost her voice without them. He went to get them back but didn't have the warrior instincts to save them from the pirates. Then he dies, so play the song of healing and turn him into a mask after witnessing the saddest moment in any game EVER. <-period. Then watch in horror as you become a zora GAAAAAH. So you can swim and use Mikau's elbow blades as weapons and boomerangs. So go find out how to get to their fortress and get the eggs back as well as a hookshot. Now Lulu gets her voice back and summons a turtle to take you to the water temple, and we all know what goes on in water temples-_-. So after dying a few times you get to the end to fight the monster fish Gyorg. Geeeooorrg is one of the most annoying, worst bosses ever for the worst temples ever. No cedes agua. Anyways you unleash giant number 3 and can use the hookshot to go to the final area.
Ikana canyon is filled with undead monsters. Use the hook shot to get to the next area where a girl is locking a house. Of course it's unusual since every house in LoZ should be unlocked, so cause some "ruckus" (won't tell you what kind) and lure her out and run inside. The carnival music is very happy, which makes sense since a mummy is inside and wants your brains. If you attack him, the girl will stop you and force you to leave. She seems attached to that monster, so try going in again and play you know what. You know? The song? For troubled spirits? ...seriously? We play it all the time? It's the song of Majora's Mask! Freaking song of healing! So turns out it was the girls father the Ikana scientist and he and the daughter have a touching moment... so beautiful T_T. He drops the gibdo mask that let's you talk to the mummified redeads. If you wear it in front of zombie redeads they dance! So there go the deadliest enemies in the game. Go through gibdo well and into the final temple.
You meet the stalfo generals who you need to beat. They become impressed and say skull kid angered the spirits causing them to haunt the canyon. They teach you a song whose name I forgot, involves emptiness, and you can use it to make a be... er, a decoy copy of you... that isn't creepy at all. No ben... err, what are we talking about? Oh right! you get the giants mask that can only be used in the boss of the dungeon, the giant worm Twinmold. Cut him down to size and unleash the final giant. You can finally teach old creepy face a lesson.
At the top of the tower play oath to order now and all 4 giants come to hold up the moon. This time they succeed toghether and skull kid is stopped, but turns out skull kid was an innocent lonely boy. Sure he mugged the mask salesman, but that was for self survival, all these mean pranks were skull kid's desire of fun corrupted by the mask. The mask ejects from skull kids face and uses the moon to attempt to destroy all in a last ditch effort. So go into the moon and stop Majora once and for all.
The inside must be an awful gruesom twisted version of Majora's sick inten... wow, it's pretty nice up here. You'll see 5 kids who look like the HMS. 4 are playing and have masks of the remains of the 4 bosses you faced, each will ask you for non transformation masks and the one in the middle is alone and wears Majora's Mask. This represents the skull kid abandoned by the giants, his friends, and being alone. So now talk to the 4 playing and give them your non transformation masks, as many as you obtained (give them all the possible masks for a reward). They will give you trials for each of you're 4 forms. Then face Majora. She has 3 forms, first being a mask with tentacles (how did she get on skull kids face O_O), then she grows arms and legs and prances around like a sissy, finally she gains more muscular mass and gets a head and tentacle whips. Beat her and get the satisfaction of her disintegrating and call it a 3rd day.
The skull kid is happy that the giants still found him as their friend no matter how far away they were. (2000 words yes! ^_^) Tatl and Tael are together again and HMS takes the mask and vanishes. Skull kid says you smell like a boy who taught him a song in the woods, meaning he could be the same skull kid you met in lost woods or he met a possible terminian counter part. Eighter way Link goes off in search of Navi again promising to return one day. That whole thing right now? Just the story line. Still have some work to do...=_=
Now the graphics are actually good for the N64. The draw distance can be kind of bad and sometimes animations change in 1 or 2 frames, like the happy mask salesman freaking out between angry, scared, sad, begging, and glad. Still, it gets a 9 for it's time.
Speaking of time, you have 72 hours before the moon falls, giving you a measly minute per hour. If you play the song of reverse time right away you get 216 minutes instead which is more than 3 1/2 hours. However, time moves everywhere as people are living their lives. Like Darkpower508 said, you could be in a temple in the first midnight (just an example not saying by midnight you will be in a temple) while an old lady is robbed, Anju is upset because you were supposed to be there 30 minutes ago and goes to the bathroom only to find a hand sticking out of the toilet, Guru-Guru is moping by the laundry pool about his past, and Romani is prepping for an alien invasion you need to help her with in 3 real life minutes. Better play the song of soaring... oh crap I forgot the powder keg. (now switching to another thing about going back in time) oh wait, it's still cold because even though I beat the temple and unleashed the giant I technically didn't beat Goht the boss. At least the entrance has a teleporter to the boss. Oh too late, Romani has been abducted by aliens:/. So yeah.
Like I said there are many masks, 24 to be exact. 3 can transform you, others are for events or to commemorate a special event. If you talk to Guru-Guru after midnight and listen to his story you get the bremen mask, use that to help Grogg's chicks grow and get the bunny hood. Beat the skulltula house, mask of truth. Help Cremia deliver milk, romani mask, and play ballad of the wind fish at the milk bar, circus leader mask. The most complicated is the string of masks from Anju and Kafei's quest.
First talk to Madame Aroma in the mayors office as Link at 10:00, she will think you are her hired detective and give you Kafei's mask as proof you are a detective. Then at 2:00 the postman delivers a note to Anju and he won't tell her where he got it from. Talk to her and get a room key, because even though you don't have a reservation, Link the GORON does and you can steal his room (lol). Then after getting the room key talk to her with Kafei's mask and she will tell you to come to her kitchen at 11:30. She gives you the deets, saying she was supposed to marry kafei before the carnival but he disappeared. She gives you a letter which you must put in a nearby mailbox before 9:00. At 3:00 wait at the laundry pool and when the mail man comes he will ring a bell and a boy with a keaton mask will come out. Go inside the door he came out to find out he's really Kafei and skullsy turned him into a kid. He asks for you're help because his sun mask was stolen and he needs to give it to Anju to join the moon mask. He gives you a pendant for Anju and you give it to her right away asap. She will promise to stay in clock town now. Now to get the sun mask. Kafei's place is right behind the curiosity shop. As long as you didn't save the old lady the thief Sakon will give the curiosity shop the bomb bag. At 12:30 AM this happens, and at 1:00 PM Kafei will give you the keaton mask and a delivery for his mom Madame Aroma. Before that wait for Kafei at Sakons hideout in Ikana canyon and wait till 6, then solve a bunch of puzzles as both link AND Kafei to get the sun mask. Give the package to the postman and he delivers it to the bar. Now use the romani mask, you DID get it right? o_e well forget the bottle, just wait outside for the post man to come out and he gives you his hat. Yay! Deputy mailman^_^! So finally, wait with Anju in the room upstairs in the inn that is for employees only and wait with Anju. You need to make it close, Kafei comes with 1:30 left till a game over. They reunite, give you the couples mask, and wait to die toghether. So, beautiful T_T. Now let me just... breath a little...
The music is just wonderful, like the song of healing, oath to order, and ikana canyon song. I like the mood each song represents. In day 1 clock town sounds happy as they are getting ready for the carnival. But no one is coming? Day 2 takes not of this as the music sounds a bit awkward as it's apparent something's up. Literally. By the final day as the moon is dangerously close we get a fast pace of the happy music from the first day, but in the back score is a DUN DUN DUN DUN that represents the upcoming doom. Then, it doesn't matter where you are, the last 6 hours music or "final hours" will play wherever you are in termina. It's sad, has that hopeless "it's all over" feel, and all the while you hear the clock tower bell chimes as it signals the coming of the carnival, however it makes you feel worse. Makes you forget you still have 18 minutes with the slowed time, you just want to go back to the first day NOW. The music is incredible and gets a 9.
I'm pretty sure you get the difficulty by now, due to the timer and being a Legend of Zelda game. Combine the 2 and holy crap this isn't gonna be an easy one. You have puzzles while fighting monsters and you have to start over if killed and the clock is ticking. You don't have 3 days to do one thing, soon you need to do this and that, so you better be quick or else.
Finally let's talk about something that isn't in the ranking system, a little something I call "emotional output". First you are like "yeah LoZ!" then "OMG I'ma plant!""the moon is scary!""I don't have enough time!". This caused many a people to say"screw it, I'm done. Ocarina of Time is better."but if you just give it a chance you realize this game changes how you feel a great game should be. It's great game play combined with a huge story behind the mask, literally! You save a princess, a mountain side, a ranch, a rock band, some eggs, a father and his daughter. You feel accomplished with what you have done, but then the moon gets closer and closer and you must start time over. All the stuff you did never happened. The old lady will be mugged, aliens will come again, the poor monkey... This game gave you superiority and then just ripped it away from you. These computer programs become more to you, you're friends, and you have to let them down again and again because you can't be in 3 places at once or teleport somewhere other than an owl statue. This game needs a 15/10 in terms of this hidden category, but still the overall score is 9.5 I guess. Thank you if you read all this, this has been the dealeo with Mecha Leo, hope you can see my next review^_^.

Just You, The Moon and The Mask   MechaMento
BEFORE YOU READ I AM AWARE REDHOTTODAY HAS JUST REVIEW THIS GAME
He PMed me to say he had made one whilst I was typing up mine!!
Welcome my fellow readers of vizzed. This my second review and I have gone on to share my opinion of the Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Remember to give me feed back and suggestions on what to do next (after I review Mega Man 4).
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
Why I played this
I had played a few Zelda titles before, like Ocarina of time and the Phantom Hourglass, but had never hear of this one. Mainly because I did not own a N64 and there is no remake of it. At the time I was into reading Creepypasta's related to gaming and wanted to see if there were any decent Zelda pastas. I quite quickly came across the CreepyPasta BEN, and luckily for me it was mainly video. I watched through them and did not notice what game it was since the design I did not recognise. I did some research about the pasta and found it was based on the Majora's Mask. I looked on the Wii e-shop if there was a download able version of the classic and that is where it brought me now. So believe it or not it was the BEN creepypasta that got me into this game.
Story
The storyline producers must of been made up of a bunch of Shakespeare's. I thoroughly enjoyed playing in Link's role in this very well written story.
I think the fact that you have to keep going back and forth through time in this space of 3 days really puts a twist on this tale. At one stage near the beginning of the game you have to wait the whole three days as a Deku Scrub until the festival which is inconveniently 6 minutes before the world ends and most people have evacuated. Once the festival door opens you take back the Ocarina of Time and return to the very first day, and start the 3 days again but with a new adventure as human Link.
I have not seen a Zelda title if not any game with a better story than this master piece.
Graphics
It may be on the same console as Ocarina of Time but has stepped up to raise the bar to what I say is one of the best looking games the N64 produced. It is slick in most areas, Links new texture is good. There are obviously a few bad designs but we have to show respect since on a cartridge based console this is tough.
The one scene that stands out the most for me is the part where Skull Kid uses the Majora's Mask to change Link into a Deku Scrub, at the beginning of the game. The Deku Scrubs in Links trippy dream really have a lot of detail. When I first saw this, I though I was playing a remake.
Sound
The audio quality was also above the N64 standard. Some songs you can tell were rushed, and others were copied other from previous ports like Saria's song. But the song of healing had a lot of work put into it (the one in the clock tower, not the one when you talk to the Happy Mask Salesman). I had always loved entering the clock tower to be greeted with those Synth Strings, but then that is ruined by the Happy Mask Salesman.
Depth
There is a lot this game offers, like Time Travel, Transformation, Traveling to the moon and much more. As I have mentioned before there is no other Zelda title like it. The amount of masks there are really puts more depth into it since every one will Transform you into something else (apart from the bunny mask). The difficulty on this game can range depending on the way you play it. You only have three days but technically an infinite amount, even if you don't do the fourth day glitch.
That is all I really need to cover on this game. If you want any more info on this game let me know. I may even do a full walkthrough on it if I get high enough requests (and if someone else has not done it). Remember to give me feed back and your opinions on this Game.

A unique way to play The Legend of Zelda   rb1295
The Legend Of Zelda - Majora's Mask, a game of the fun and entertaining Legend of Zelda series of games for Nintendo consoles. Much like the other Legend of Zelda game for the Nintendo 64, this one is great, full of things to do, and unique.
The graphics are done quite well, with a variety of characters. Among these characters, some may seem familiar, but there also many new characters that are just as original as those of the other games. By using the combination of the new and old characters, the game seems to pull players in. Along with the characters, the backgrounds are done well, and help the player enjoy lush scenery and a large variety of different animations.
To go along with the graphics, there are also many different sound, and different background music. The large variety of sound effects that are used, help the player enjoy the game more, by matching the sound to the effect it represents. The background music is also a major aspect of the enjoyment. Having a different background music for many different areas, bring the player into the new area, and let them enjoy as much, if not more than the previous.
The combination of the many different aspects put into this game helps greatly with making this game addicting to play. The different aspect combine to make a fun and enjoyable game, that as someone plays, either a new player or an experienced one, they eventually start to get drawn into the game more and more.
A unique and very original game, to say the least. With a deep story, full of adventure, the play can enjoy the originality and the many unique ideas that were put into making this game. Allowing any player to enjoy a game that's "something new," in some aspects, makes it all the more interesting.
There is a large variety of things to do in this game. Along with the story, there are many other things that players can enjoy while playing. These things can give the player a chance to take a break from the story, enjoy other things in the game, and help keep them drawn into the game. By adding these, players can enjoy the game itself more, and the story in general, due to the fact that they are not restricted to just playing the game through the story, and having nothing else to enjoy in it.
Throughout the game, there are a few places where learning the commands can be a little harder than others, but it doesn't take long to get familiar with then and not have to worry about not knowing them. Overall, the commands are pretty simple, just sometimes, they can get a little more difficult. To go along with these controls, the game might be difficult, but after giving it time, it become really easy for someone to play the game.
The Legend Of Zelda - Majora's Mask is in every aspect a great game, and one worth playing. The combination of the different aspects helps bring a player into the game more, and also allows them to enjoy the game all the more. At the same time, each aspect individually deserves its own praise. Overall, The Legend Of Zelda - Majora's Mask is, in my opinion, one of the best of the Legend of Zelda game that has been made.

Live, Death, and Majora   MoZee
I love this game, Majora's mask, for what it means. Link is looking for Navi and he is attacked by skull kid. He is turned into a Deku Scrub. He meets the Happy Mask Salesman and then, Link must get Majora and the ocarina to turn back. On to the review!
Graphics 9
The graphics were good for the N 64. The building were breath taking in a big scale. The characters made you laugh, scared, or Amazed. Giving you the feel of the character. the areas were large and buetiful and I felt like remaking them in minecraft.
Sound 9
They had a voice acting for every character, ranging from a grunt, to a word. I love this game a lot, so I might overrate.
Addictiveness 10
I play this game once a week since I bought it. And for about 8 hours a day. the story drags you, the player, in the world. A masterpiece to keep you on your Nintendo consoles for hours upon hours.
Story 10
The story represents life, and how people are afraid of it. This is explained how Majora is trying to kill everyone, and Link helps them. Majora is death, and link is the one trying to prevent it. But it must come one day, and he is only delaying it. Everyone there is afraid, and Majora isn't really doing anything. Death will come at some point and Majora is seeing life as a bad thing.
Depth 10
The story seems simple, but when you find it out you understand it. You get why the game was made. You understand what a masterpiece it is
Difficulty 7
Not much to say but the third most difficult Zelda game I know
Overall 10
IT is the best thing I have ever played in my life because of the meaning. It is a masterpiece

Majora's Mask   fireking1058
Hello, today I will be writing a review on Majora's Mask for the Nintendo 64. Overall this game is stunning and beautiful, the graphics in this game for its time is just amazing. But, like all games, this one has it's flaws. So that's why I'm making this review. I for one find the story amazing and somewhat sad. But the game play in this masterpiece is just pure genius. I do believe this game to be hard though. The fact that you have to beat it within 72 hours or else you'll have to restart like half of the game. The depth in the game is amazing, it's so in depth that this game is home to one of the best creepypastas in the world. Thousands of hidden lore, made by thousands of fans. The sound is amazing because, well, it's a Zelda game! Which by the way are known for amazing music in dungeons and other places in the game. Well that wraps it up for this extremely short review, Thanks for reading this and I'll see you guys later.

An amazing sequel to Ocarina of Time   Sillybop1
Majora's Mask.... where to start. Majora's Mask is an incredibly different game to any other game in it's franchise. It's dark atmosphere and the characters and the thought of one wrong move dooming Termina and it's inhabitants. What a thrill ride! I have just beaten MM and I enjoyed it so much! The side quests are fun (especially the Anju and Kafei quest) the dungeons have ingenious designs and brain boggling puzzles this game has it all. And the masks really make this game whole. From being able to fly like a Deku Scrub, roll on the land like a Goron and swim into the deep depths of the ocean as a Zora. This is the only game in the Zelda franchise that allows you to do this. And I highly recommend the 3DS remake of Majora's Mask.

The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask Cheat Codes

Second Ending

After beating Majora for the first time go back and the cutscene before entering the moon will be slightly different.

Cheat at Postmans game.

There is a minigame where the Postman asks you to stop a clock exactly at ten seconds. Normally the clock will disappear after two second, leaving you to guess, but if you wear the Bunny Hood the timer stays up on the screen. This is good since he gives you 50 rupees after the second time you win. Repeat for big bucks.

Free Money

After you have rid yourself of the deku curse and can roll and jump. You can get the silver rupee above the shooting gallery. Roll over the east gate, hop over the signs on the Honey and Darling shop. Walk over the shooting gallery and open the chest and get the silver rupee. You can do this every time you restart time.

The 3 day time limit on this game is a nuisance, but it is still fun to play. Way different than most the Zelda titles, not sure if that is good or bad.

When I do 1964, I don't see anything before or after the save screen. Anybody know a solution?
