Street fighter alpha 3 on the go SuperCrash64
Alright you remember good old Street fighter alpha 2 so like that game we would get another squeal Which happened to be this game right here. So when you try porting the Street fighter alpha 3 game on the Game boy advance how does it turn out find out in the review of it here.
Background: story The classic street fighter 2 series was pretty nice it got various amount of Upgrades Like Super street fighter 2 Then that got A turbo speed upgrade and with more special moves You could pull off . But the Alpha Series its self was rather meant to be a different type of game but as the title said the Legend lives on. The original Street fighter alpha took characters from certain games such as guy from final fight . Then the squeal Street fighter alpha 2 carried on pretty much allowing All or more characters from the first game to actually be playable without using a code as the 1st two games had felt like a natural street fighter game with a combo system. But at some cases I would agree with shogun gamers review of street fighter alpha 3 the arcade version as it feels a little bit different.
Character Descriptions :
Ryu A Warrior that lives to fight as the day goes on until his life ends he does not value other things Such as winning a trophy or tournament . Because he fights with honor He continues to train and live up to his full abilities
Ken: Generally like the USA version of Ryu as he has the same move styles and everything and a similar Fighting outfit They are both rivals in the case but in real life there actually friends they are really only rivals when it comes to the tournament or street fighter circuit Ken also has a wife Named Eliza if you played as him in street fighter 2 and the upgrades they got married such happy moments for him and her.
Blanka: Sort of Known As a green beast or animal but again if you paid attention to the endings of Street fighter 2 . He was actually a Kid Who was thought to be Dead by his mom The reason for this he was on a airplane that crashed into Brazil . His actual real name was Jimmy He tried to hid his secret from his mom in his ending of street fighter 2 because he probably wanted to be still known as dead or something. But his mom had good memory and saw the ankle bracelet she gave to him on 1 of his birthdays so they got reunited.
Edmond Honda: Yes that's what his e stands for He is a Pro Sumo Wrestler He continues to train He is very strong but do to him being very fat lol He was meant to be below average speed. But he's overall a good guy his goal is to enter the Street fighter circuit and make more people watch sumo wrestling "aka" make sumo wrestling popular around the world.
Guy: yes there's actually a character named guy He first appeared in final fight to help Mike haggar rescue his daughter Jessica From the mad gear. Because he was in final fight Capcom always do these little crossovers to Mix up street fighter and Final fight. His fighting style binshinryu ninja his goal to rid the world of madness and evil.
Cody Another character that appeared in final fight Rescuing Jessica because Jessica was his sweetheart from his childhood. I do not exactly know how he got into prison maybe the mad gear or somebody arrested him for street fighting your guess is good as mine in that subject
Sodom: a shogun warrior a boss that appeared in final fight in stage 2 you can tell because in street fighter alpha 2 he has a truck that says Shogun on it at least in the zero and gold version. . His goal to kill people and place some bounties on their head at least from what he seems and act like . He's a pretty good character once you know how to use him
Dhalsim: Another warrior He meditates then destroys people what a guy am I right lol. He's mainly known for doing Yoga moves yes whenever you pull off a special move with him he goes something like yoga burn or yoga flame. His goal to win the street fighter circuit and then return to home after being gone for so long.
Cammy: a detective girl on a mission But her Street fighter ending was messed up as M bison says they were in love . Cammy did not believe him and thank goodness she did. 1 of her troops was right how could anyone love a loser like him
Akuma: Known as gokui in Japan he has the exact same power as Ryu but hes more like a corrupt version of him his goal To meet worthy foes and use them to perfect his killing power he had a shin version too but I guess capcom got rid of that.
Adon He is a muay Thai Boxer looking to beat most foes including Sagat His goal To prove he is the most powerful muay Thai boxer in the world
Sagat: He killed Dan's father Because He Costed him his eye so that explains how he has a eye patch on his face Special moves tiger uppercut tiger projectile and Tiger knee. 1 thing I hated about him is when you go against him he will spam a lot of attacks at you it gets pretty annoying no doubt about it. His goal To defeat Ryu and gain his title back as the street fighter champion he used to be full of anger and rage but he's actually a pretty nice guy.
Dan He's like a weaker version of ryu and ken having the same move set as them but not quite as powerful But that's mainly because Capcom made him more of a taunt character He continues to carry on the tradition of his father's sakyio style move set His goal for sakyio style to become mainly used all over the world and be a trainer.
Charlie: Someone that guile misses dearly The man reason for Charlie being a playable is Because capcom wanted to make clear what and who was guile talking about in his street fighter 2. As a matter of fact I believe they are brothers. Charlie looks exactly like guile. With glasses and different clothing. He sacrificed himself to save guile and Chun Li and possibly to end m.bison's rain of terror on the Shadaloo group .
Chun Li Another detective Who mainly wonders what bison and the shadaloo is up to She gets details and investigates because the shadaloo is causing all the mayhem that's been happening. She uses her legs or thighs as some people call it lol To fight people. Her goal To Avenge her father's death and defeat bison
Sakura A high school girl Who likes to fight and see what skills she's gots by fighting with Ryu funny thing she actually is known to learn Ryus moves just by looking at them. She asked for Ryu to train her but Ryu rejected saying sorry I still got plenty of training to do myself. So she became a student of Dan's sakyio style. If anything she is a pretty decent character to use Her goal I said it on the beginning of her description
Vega a person who admires himself a lot If you had played as Vega or lost to him he will say thank you for a beautiful time so he admires his face and everything . His goal To be known as the most beautiful street fighter. Note that was just because its the truth. I didn't say that for any other reason :P.
Gen Called master Gen by Akuma He posses a dark amount of power just like akuma but he is very old. His goal To keep fighting and improve his power until his death like Akuma .
Zangief. A pro wrestler as Like in wreck it Ralph I crush skulls If I ant going to do it Then who is perfect description of what zangief does he does pro wrestling stuff. And uses his great strength against people in the tournament . Saw his ending in street fighter 2 messed up lol.
Rolento First appeared in final fight as a boss and worked for the mad gear. He's now a free general or Soldier. His goal to defeat guy and Build a powerful Militia
Karin Generally known as Sakura's rival she looks very similar to cammy to me . Her goal to win everything and honor her cooperation
Rainbow Mika. Yes the r in her name stands for that like zangief she is a pro wrestler her goal Is to be the star of the ring and meet all street fighters and beat them.
M.bison The Boss of the game And leader of the so called Shadaloo group The shadaloo group is mainly the field of Sagat balrog he is not in this version Vega and M.bison being the leader. his goal is to destroy the world by using the so called Psycho drive or something and using Ryu to power it up.
Phew Alright Now after that huge description of characters in the game. Lets get started reviewing the quality of this Home port of Street fighter alpha 3.
First of all this port I would say its rather more based on street fighter alpha 3 max then the original arcade version
Graphics
Now the graphics of the game boy advance version of Street fighter alpha 3 Rather really Pay off Here Although The sprites are rather smaller then the arcade counterparts its how well detailed they look that make's the graphics really pay off. The Size of the character sprites are understandable Because The Game boy advance Was a handheld so to make the sprites and everything fit properly Capcom would probably had to resize the sprites. The Life bars and stages are pretty close to their arcade counter parts as well again although they got re sized its how accurate and Detailed they look when you compare it to the arcade version.Graphics would get a 9 = Great graphics in this home port of Street fighter alpha 3 because of the well detailing capcom did with the sprites and everything.
Sound
The quality and number of sound effects is not bad here. Although lacking some sound effects When doing special moves Its rather again Understandable You have your hurricane kick shroyuken everything only thing that I really found bothering me was the lack of the announcer's voice in the game because most of the announcer's voice samples in the game was cutted out to fit the game on the cart but I guess its understandable. The Soundtrack although Using the proper arcade tracks. I just never really liked the Alpha 3 soundtrack to begin with it just feels as if the whole Soundtracks composer got lazy and did some rewinding of loopy tunes. So Sound effects and soundtracks would get a 5 rating from me= Not bad at all
Addictiveness I Enjoy Street fighter for the neat combos and everything that I like but Street fighter alpha 3 is a good game dont get me wrong only problem I have is some of the controlling feels clunky .But its still pretty fun to play. I would probably play this game about a few weeks . Addictiveness gets a 6 rating = I would play this not all that often.
Story Well Not too much I would say about the stories As I said In previous reviews of Capcom and fighting games it depends on what character you play as Because they all have a lot of different stories but most of them have a ending with them defeating M.bison so that part gets to much of a rewind as I would say. Story gets a 6 rating
Depth Not too much you can do in this game Cause its a fighting game Fighting games in general usually have about at least 10 fights well for this game does depending on your skills and what difficulty you have it on it might take a little bit but its not really 1 of those long lasting games. to be honest Depth gets a 5
Difficulty The difficulty is a bit rough on here. And that is do to lag on the controls as each special move I try to pull off does not respond fast as the arcade version so that part ends up coming back to haunt me But for the computer difficulty its not too hard again you have 7 difficulty options. Difficulty gets a 6
Overall Street fighter alpha 3 is a good game and this port rather does a good job of making it on the go. Overall ratings 9.2 Bad soundtrack Good number of sound effects Great graphics a bit slow controls edit whoops accidently summoned somebody while naming a character:P

Street Fighter Alpha 3 Review Marcmoney

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a good fighting game. I really enjoyed it with the characters that are in the game, different costumes for the character, and the story mode.
Graphics - 9
The graphics are very good. Nice effects from every character. :)

The sound is good too. The sound effects are nice too.
Addictiveness - 7
I would play this game again. It sure has different people and hidden characters to unlock.

There is no story in this game.

The game is sort of big. It is quite difficult to play story mode when you are close to beating it. I had a hard time beating the 8th person and couldn't do it. So yeah, you need to have skills to do good in this game if you want to beat the game.
Difficulty - 7
Like I said, it is sort of hard, but not in every battle that is hard. I think people can do good at playing Street Fighter Alpha 3.

This game is a great game to play. A friend told me about this game and I am glad that he told me about it. I guarantee that you will enjoy this game if you like fighting games and Street Fighter. :)

A awesome fighter game! Vizzed Ghostblo..
The reason why i gave for graphics 7, i mean yeah that it was a good kinds, but no right shadows and background seem to be not matching to char. graphics. And for sound, it sound very catching, and it make me want to fight by follow the sound of the song. For addictiveness, i got a new Super Street Fighter IV 3d Edition for a system called Nintendo 3ds, made me want to look up though vizzed for GBA kind, and i found this game and i tried it, very fun like IV. But there is no story in this game... or at least that what i thought... The game is very depth. in fact, it almost like endless because so many fights, so many matches, and it almost like there is no ending! And it very hard for me to control due to not knowning how to use Super power or anything... hard!

You Must Read My Review To Stand A Chance Legin32
Overall: Were do I begin. Now I would like to go on record saying that I LOVE the Street Fighter series. That being said I did not like this game at all. It reeks of a dumbed down version of a great game. Street Fighter 3 is great but this...this is crap made of fail and AIDs. Well the character roster is pretty dang awesome in this game. Now this is just my opinion but your reading my review of the game so deal with it. Street Fighter 3 on the Gameboy Advanced sucks. It pains me to say this to. Don't think I like trash talking this game. Because I don't. I love Street Fighter so much. God Dang I hate this game with so much burning Passion. Okay let me tell you more about the suck factory that is this game.
Graphics: One thing this game does have going for it is its graphics. The visuals of the game are really good for a Gameboy Advanced game. All the character sprites are really good and clean looking and the stages are pretty cool to look at. I didn't notice much tearing in the game while I played it (Tearing is when the game slows down and the game mucks up). All the character alternate colors are pretty good so all and all the graphics are passable.
Sound: Here is where I cry manly tears. The music in the game is AWFUL! The music in Street Fighter games is one of the main reasons I love the series so much but this, as I have stated before, is made of fail and AIDs. Well I will give it one thing. It sounds OKAY for a Gameboy Advanced game. Like there are worse sounding games out there. I mean I cant keep comparing all Gameboy Advanced games music to that of Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls.(I'll review that one eventually) But I mean heck this music gives me headaches and fills me with blind furry. I really don't like it. The voices in the game sound ehh at best. I mean even in the console and arcade games they were also ehh.
Addictiveness: This is going to be either the longest or the shortest bullet point. Well it is just a casual fighting game with controls so that dunder headed idiots can use them and I HATE IT FOR THAT. Fighting games do not belong on the Gameboy Advanced. It's about as addicting as loosing in the arcade in the real Street Fighter game by some no life neckbeard who does nothing but plays the game and bashes its handheld version on the Internet. Ohh Wait......... Well anyway this game is not fun at all and not addicting in the slightest. Just play the arcade version. I mean cripes are the controls bad and sometimes even unresponsive. It is anger induc
ing. Story: Its a Street Fighter game. I am not going to sit here and explain every characters story line in the game it would take at least a year. Any ways no one ever plays a fighting game for story you do it to beat up on some guys using magnificent moves which are harder to do than needed in this game. People who play these games for the story are the same people who watched Pacific Rim and Think the Middle part was the best part.
Depth: There are other game modes and a few unlockables I believe but it isn't enough to redeem this pile of plague rags.
Difficulty: It is a dumbed down version of a great game with wonky controls the difficulty comes from unfair scenarios and situations. It is an easy game plagued by faults and bugs.

Alpha 3 Ptcrfromflipnote
Street fighter Alpha 3 for the game boy advance has really shocked me. I own a game boy advance Sp and I have never played a game for it with as good graphics as street fighter alpha 3. If I didn't know the video games console I would of thought it was for the DS. Some of the sound did disappoint me but apart from two songs the sound track is good and catchy.
this game isn't quite for beginners in it's default setting but in easy mode you can pick up on the games addictiveness and eventually up the game's difficulty. On the other hand if you are good at street fighter wait until you get to certain characters.
