Batter Up! gamer-dad-79
One of the first "Mature" rated games I can remember. This side scrolling adventure game paved the way for "gory" games. Players fight their way through a haunted house and nearby woods, using anything they can find to use as a weapon. Ghouls, zombies, zombie dogs, and other hideous creatures are nothing but batting practice for you and your trusty 2x4. Boss battles will catch you off guard, so to avoid a spoiler alert, I will leave it at: expect the unexpected! The music alone is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat (and the sound effect for "Pause" never gets old). Replay value for this game is very high.

Splatterhouse:Review Ultrajeff
In case you didn't know, this is splatter house!!! It was a game made in 1988 by namco. It's different in the aspect that it is EXTREMELY Violent and gory for a 16-bit game. But i bet you already know that. Lets get to the game!! You control Rick, a Psycho Student who is trapped in the west mansion. With the help of the terror mask, Rick can use his fists and powers to rampage through the mansion so he can save his girlfriend, Jennifer from an untimely death. There is a lot of references to popular movies (E.g. Friday the 13th). The game plays like a typical 2d beat-em-up. Rick can punch and kick, as well as special moves. He can also attack by jumping, while also having the ability to use weapons placed in the levels. Let's talk about how i rate this game. Graphics-10 (For a 16-bit game in 1988 on an old console, it has the finest graphics around!) Sound-6(It sounds wonderful despite the sound limitations) Addictiveness(I'm not a fan of beat-em-ups, but if you are, and like horror and long experiences, this game is worth your time). Story-7(It has a deeper story than you think, if you want to experience all of the plot's thrills, play the game). Depth-8(The Game is BIG and cannot be completed in one sitting. Play the game to the best of your ability to find all the secrets). Difficulty(If you don't know, this is a hard one. Enemies swarm you. Be prepared at any costs). Overall-9( I recommend this game for anyone who wants a whole lot of gruesome fun! If you're a serious gamer, check this game out. It will give you chills and thrills! Test your skills!

splatter house review the protoman
hello and once again we are at the house of blood.....sighs.
graphics:are good too....but not as good as th arcade. but its still a good game so lets get over it.
rick looks really like the arcade game but he is less detailed.zombies are also real cool.but this is not the same as i am used to have.i hate the terror mask in this game.its nothing like the original.
sound:well.....lets just say that a punch sounds like "tab" and a stomp sounds like "tab". do you get that every sound that is an actual attack sounds the bloody same!the music is scary.......but so old...
addictiveness:i dont play this often.it sucks at being addictive.
story:it has no story.....okay!it has one but not in game.i wont tell because of that.if you want the story then check the arcade review.
depth:there is nothing!except weapons.
difficulty:now for such a bad game you know what really was a punch in our face?! the difficulty of this ommega hard game!i cant even beat stage one!okay......maybe.....but stage 2 is too hard.
