A fun and challenging game! (Addictive warning!) Mohammedroxx3
Well, Hi everyone! :)I'm finally decided to make another review because I felt that I haven't contributed in this site for a pretty long time. Intro:Well the title of the game sounds pretty interesting, doesn't it? Okay, so basically in this game, you actually fight the bosses from the original Sonic the hedgehog and the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in a certain order and judging from the order of the bosses, I guess it is from the easiest to the hardest boss, however, I am not going to tell you all of the bosses in order because I want you to discover this game and I hate saying spoilers! So anyways, when you enter the main menu, it looks pretty cool with a nice background of moving stars and Dr. Eggman doing his evil laughter that he usually does when Sonic loses his rings in the original Sonic the Hedgehog games.You have the choice of playing as Sonic or tails, however it kind of sucks how you can't play with both of them together like the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2. They are like the 2 best buddies who are heroes trying to defeat Dr. Eggman together.You also have another 2 choices, which is "Time Attack" and "Survival". There is also ranks depending on how well you do.Survival mode:When you select survival, you are not timed, and your rank is based on how much bosses you have defeated. The more bosses you defeat, the higher your rank! Time Attack mode:When you select Time Attack mode, your rank is based on how long it took you to defeat the certain amount of bosses. Usually your rank is higher if you defeated more bosses in a less amount of time.And now lets go more in depth with other details! :)Graphics: 9Well, the graphics of the game is the same like the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It's bright, vivid, and 2D. I honestly love the look of Sonic in the original Sonic the hedgehog 2 the best! His facial expression shows more vivid and cool than Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in my opinion.Sound: 9Well, the game has the original background music and all the other sounds from the original Sonic the hedgehog 2. I always loved the epic boss battle music! :)Addictiveness: 10This game is VERY addictive, I always want to beat all the bosses in Time attack mode with less time and a higher rank! You will probably feel the same with this game to tell your rank reaches "S"! Depth: 7The game does indeed have some depth in it. Why? Because it is for seeing how you defeat all of the bosses in the game and how much you improve in rank! For people who loves fighting only bosses in Sonic the hedgehog games, then this is the right game for you.Difficulty: 9The game may appear to start off with easy bosses but trust me, the bosses WILL KEEP GETTING HARDER AND HARDER as you go on.
Did I ever mention that there is no rings in this game? Story: None
This game doesn't really have a story.
Overall: 9Well, I got to admit, this is one heck of a good game alright and thats about it!

The bosses of sonic 2 and 1. bloodyclaws
Hey, Bloodyclaws here again, and I'm going to review this game. Let's start off with
Graphics. 9. How many of us like NES? I sure do. But compared to genesis, NES is a small small world. Genesis was one of the best consoles when it comes to graphics. Just look at sonic. Look at the shine and shade. That's how great it is. It also has a bit of 3D effect on it. Very great. But the Genesis has competition. SNES. What do you think is better, I won't force you to a certain side. But overall, the graphics are great, they even put some effort on the background!
Sound. 10. A very nostalgic stack of music. We all know green hill zone, but how many of you remember sonic the hedgehog two boss music? Pretty original, wouldn't you agree. Not a lot of lag to mess up the game, so overall, the sound is great.
Addictiveness. 7. You'll lose many times. Trust me. You only have 3 rings between each turns. You want to beat all 18 bosses. You want to find out what all the bosses are. I do to. Even though I beat the game. So in addictiveness, I give 7. Not too many reasons huh? That's why I chose 7.
Depth: 8 Not a big game, but it will take a while. Not that long, about half an hour, depending on how good you are. I don't know how many of you beat it, but it was hard, wasn't it? Well, make it all worthwhile.
Difficulty: 9. All of them are basically uncontrollably hard. You will rage. Even though if you beat the game, you'll see expectations are strict. 20 minutes is a C for you. More than 35 minutes, probably an E. The hardest are labyrinth boss, Casino night and the last. You have to go through lots of frustration I tell you.
Overall 8.8 I have not much to say to you, but I hope it's enough info for you to have a good impression of this game. Play the game! Have fun! But for now, Goodbye!

The Sonic Supreme Boss Rush! gangsterbla876
Oh boy, it's Dr. Robotnik's Revenge! Having waited so long to get revenge, Dr. Robotnik brings back his first few creations to combat Sonic. Can he defeat his arch nemesis once and for all? Or will he be foiled again? This depends on your ability to fight these old bosses.
This is one of the more arcade type hacks. Nothing has changed in the graphic and sound department. Bosses are pulled straight out of Sonic 1 and 2 as well. However, there isn't much of an actual level to go through-in fact, no level at all-to get to the boss. This could only mean one thing: a boss rush! So make sure your fingers are ready and train yourself for some boss fights, because it's time to dive in!
In this hack, you run around in the Death Egg Zone from Sonic 2, defeating boss after boss as you aim for the fastest time.Most of the bosses are from Sonic 2, knowing that game was bigger than most other Sonic titles, but you'll also encounter a Sonic 1 boss here and there. Strangely enough, all the bosses have the Sonic 2 boss music playing in the background, which is strange for some of them. No prizes for guessing which ones. Between each battle you're given a nice breather and some rings, which is very nice. In the thick of gameplay, the bosses are fun to fight, and since they are fought in chronological order (starting with the first few bosses of each game, then progressing to the later ones) there is a fair difficulty curve. After you give each and every one of them a good bashing, you are ranked according to the time you took to finish the fights. It's a nice competitive element, because without it this would be a much less addictive hack. Not that it isn't great already, mind you, because bosses in the Sonic series are fun, fair and satisfying.
Overall, Dr. Robotnik's Revenge is a brilliant boss rush for the first two Sonic games. If you're looking for something addictive and fun, this is the hack for you.
Verdict:
+ Bosses are incredibly fun to fight
+ The breather rooms are a nice thing
- Music choices are sometimes strange
With rings, clocks and ranks, this hack manages to
be one of the better boss rushes out there.

Boss Run! slarstorm
Get ready for a boss run everyone, because Robotnik's revenge is exactly that. This hack includes all the boss battles from not only Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but also it's predecessor, Sonic the Hedgehog as well!
The game controls just like Sonic 2, with the option to play as sonic or tails. As you progress the games order of bosses will be a sonic 2 boss, then a sonic 1 boss. It's set in the Death Egg, with various texture and level alterations to fit the style of the Death Egg as well as the mechanics of the boss fights.
There are also two modes:
Time Attack: a mode in which your goal is to get the shortest amount of time. For every boss you defeat you get three rings.
Survival: Essentially the same as time attack, except you don't have any rings, providing an extra challenge.
I recommend this game to anyone who wants a challenge.

Awesome boss rush! Pikbounder
(WARNING!:There may be a bit of bias, because sonic 2 is my favorite sonic game, and I'm a huge sonic fan.)Alright, this game IS pretty easy. You have unlimited lives, and can really just keep trying until you get bored. Granted, I didn't get bored, but that's most likely because I'm a huge sonic fan. You can play as sonic or tails, but tails doesn't have his normal hover ability like I'm the rest of the sonic games. But here's the really cool thing: it's not doesn't just have sonic 2 bosses, it also has every boss from sonic 1, including the final boss of both games, which justifies the non-flight thing. But it is also pretty short, I beat it in about half an hour, and I was doing pretty terribly. For reference, there's a ranking system at the end, and I got an F ranking. The point is, it's a fun distraction to play if you're a sonic fan.
