marvel Vs cap com Lets Go Crazy! SuperCrash64
This is Marvel Vs Cap com a beginning for one of the Great Video game and fighting gam franchise if not the best. It really is one of my favorite games of all time. This is the first and so far only working Marvel Vs cap com game in the rgr library. Like most arcade games it would go on home consoles and get various squeals. And those would contain upgrades that were major improvements over the original but the original will always stay contained in the memories of the great arcade classics of the 90s . Join and enter the Marvel V's Cap com 1 Review.
Plot The Plot of Marvel V's Cap com is to choose 2 out of 15 characters. That being Ryu.Chun li.Zangief of the Street fighter series, The Bat lady Morgan. Captain commando .Mega man Strider Hiryu .Spider man. Jin Captain America. Venom. The hulk. Gambit From the X men series. War Machine from Iron man. And Also Wolverine from the X men series. So you pick lots of characters, and defeat the boss of the game, Who wants to destroy all super heroes, and dominate this tournament himself.
Game play The Game play of Marvel Vs cap com was rather different then other fighting games at the time because this like tekken tag tournament was one of the first games to ever use tag team format battle. However you still get to pick some of your classic characters and do Lots of combos and special moves. So you mainly press some few random buttons to do switching between characters or do special tag team supers at the same time. However there is a certain combination you need to find out and press to do those tag team special moves. So be careful because the computer foe will sometimes be very cheap and switch. So the main way Marvel V's Cap com plays out is in tag team format with a 6 button control layout and certain switching and button combinations .
Graphics: First I will talk about the sprites then the stages. For the Following sprites and design Each company "aka" Cap com and Marvel would use a certain coding or design from their previous fighting games and give it some few changes. The main way I can tell is because I had played most of their 2d fighting games and if I played it a whole lot, I would instantly recognize what sprite coding or design they would take and use for this game. For example if you remember the Street fighter alpha series and know what the sprites look like. Cap com took the coding or design of the sprites from their street fighter alpha series, and alerted it you can see it with certain changes. Like Chun Li has her classic alpha/street fighter 2 uniform coding. Marvel even used their coding or design from their Marvel super heroes game, as you can tell because the sprites look exactly the same. Even if they probably did use the same coding the sprites still look good as they originally did in their other games. Stages: The stages themselves have unique detail , but their not really all that series based though they still look pretty good for the time this game was released and I just like the good finish of them . Graphics would get a 8 for this rating They look really good , and have a great sense of original or classic looks if you remember or compare them.
Sound: The Sound compartment has a great sense here while some speech samples are here some of them had not been placed like great or anything when you do combos still a good variety of speech effects honestly for a 90s fighting game, I would not ask too much from it. Most other sound effects of the characters Are alerted versions of different speech or actors for the characters as of Ryu's voice samples are a bit changed or off. Most other sound effects are pretty accurate and very true to their original games or the fighting games for that matter. But for the main part of The great sense of sound is of course the Soundtrack. The Soundtrack is That of the series or characters but been re arranged on a better chip just like almost any other game, but some songs of the soundtrack are different then what you would think. For example Ryu's theme is not the exact Japan/ryu stage of his Street fighter 2 theme, As it is the arranged classic street fighter 2 opening theme. Most other themes are great. Chun lis theme based off of her Super street fighter 2 counterparts Same with Zangief. Most other characters are based on a single self series or game. Sound gets a 10 for the reasons and explanations said above.
Addictiveness The Reason for the game being addicting and how often I would play this The reason I find the game addicting is for the challenge of the computer foe and the great fun and wacky ways u pull off the certain combos Not to mention the sound effects and wild soundtrack. How often I would play this you ask ? Probably about once a week. For that being said Addictiveness gets a 8.
Story I explained the plot of this game but the Story lines are all different and dependant on which character You play as.There mainly gonna have something to do with a mix up or cross over of two opposing characters or stick true to the series of that character you play as. Such as Ryu's ending in the game, so all story lines are completely different. I'm not gonna ruin them because I don't wanna spoil the storyline of the game for all the people playing it, but for actual ratings Story lines I would give it a 7.
Depth As far as the game offers I cant really say all that much because the game is pretty quick for me. You mainly go through about 9 or 10 fights, and depending on your skills it can be pretty quick and easy. Depth would get a 5 rating from me cause lets face it this game is a little bit short. Depth get's a 5
Difficulty Controls work fine, but for difficulty I would rate it a 7. Because although some of the regular characters are easy . some of them really get cheap and hard later on when you start getting A lot of wins during your winning streak, and not to mention the final boss himself is in two different form's. first form not that hard. second form is pretty difficult because he shoots a lot of freaking lazier combos And he will take me down in probably a few seconds so good luck against him.
Overall this was the beginning of 1 of the greatest franchises and the original will always some what stand out even against the newer games in my opinion. Because it has amazing soundtrack good variety of sounds. And not to mention it was the first game starting the marvel V's cap com series so you cant really say this sucks if you compare this to marvel V's cap com 2 and 3. Overall rating 9.8?

LETS GO HYPER CRAZY evilcon09
hello everyone welcome to my review on the marvel vs capcom on arcade. this game is the 3rd crossover with the 1st being x men vs sf, marvel super heroes vs street fighter. the main story its self comes from the comics where Charles Xavier asks for help before he fused with magneto to create one the greatest pain in the neck boss fight onslaught. this game came out in 1999 (same year as the legendary dreamcast with almost perfect arcade ports excluding vf4) the game saw a re release on Xbox live and psn for £10 Gameplay: the game its self is a 2 on 2 fighting game winner will be decided when the foes team falls at your feet or the other way around . game introduces cross attacks one with both members can unleash their hyper combos all at once for damaging effects try with all the character combos. and the other cross attack is basically the panther will jumping for a cross assault without hyper combos but that means you will be the other character depends the combo and character you use the cross rush. another thing is in the game are solo units which can be used a certain amount of times like Juggernaut can be used 3 times for talking sake or other example is iceman can be used up to 5 times. (correct me if i am wrong) The cast has 18 fighters plus 4 hidden one requires codes (please look at the cheats list for more details) what i loved about the game. the game has the best music but ultimately it gose to captain america, the fighters are extremely fun to use (i always use captain america with my lovely venom) just basically how deep a fighter can do with all the combos and tricks players find out while reading their foes moveswhat i didn't like about the game: as amazing fighting games do go i hate it when some folk finds a infinity for those who doesn't know what that means. its basically means you lose one false move consider your self defeated. and another thing i really didn't like about the game is the final showdown with onslaught his attacks can take you down faster than you can say pickle barrel kumquat ( despite that some characters manage to evade his attacks with ease with their own attacks like venom's venom fang or captain Americas charging star) my overall impressions its amazing fighting game and a cross over sure to last till the end of time or when fighting games do die out this will be a shining gem with a few other games forgive me if there's a few contradictions phoenix wright me if u like. other than that thank you for reading this review stay tuned for next review of Astro boy on gba, happy gaming everyone

Amazing Classix DakenThael
The game is amazing, no other way to describe such a classic. The ingenious mix of Capcom favorites with Marvel Superheroes (especially in expanding from solely Street Fighter characters) combined with combo system that gave birth to modern fighting games. The catchy sound tracks, the extremely comic book central storyline. All around, this game brings a lot to the table. It's normally extremely difficult to find a good old school fighting that holds both the same appeal as when it first came out as well as being able to bring that nostalgic feeling without it feeling extremely out dated, but MvC will always a game you will want to play for years and years.

My first Review ALLENDR10
first thoughts on Marvel Vs Capcom is that the every time I start this game up it brings me the same feel it has had scince I first played it. The graphics are smooth like with a comic book style and the animations are spirited and colorful, the sound is great as the super moves are bring bang for the viz . The story isn't much there as you just reach an final level boss battle. also this game could be easy or incredibly difficult as it's possible to set the difficulty in the options. marvel Vs Capcom does have good depth in the character choices including Ryu , Spiderman , and The Incredible Hulk .Gameplay is deep as each playable character has an array of moves on the list from hadouken to Maximum spider! and choosing Manual or easy mode will determine the difficulty to perform combos for beginners and expert players. It is a joy to pick up and play this game everytime indeed , Marvel vs Capcom is an addictive game no one should forget to play.

The best one yet from the series. becerra95
This game is next on a franchise and is considered a favorite of mine. I was first exposed to it back in 2012 with the PSP which somehow had emulations on it. After playing Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter I was trying different games in the system (Street Fighter Alpha 3 and DarkStalkers) and been enjoying these games. This one though, I played it quite a lot and always used two of the same characters during gameplay. Even now while playing for a review I still chose the same characters and remembered how well the moves sets are. Anyways here is the review. Marvel vs. Capcom : Clash of Super Heroes for Arcade! The next installment of the vs. series.Story : 7
An evil entity has been creating chaos around the world and destroying everything in its path. This being, Onslaught, is considered one of the most powerful and dangerous being in the earth and it’s up to the heroes from Marvel and the fighters of Capcom to team up once more and defeat this being. Will they be able to defeat onslaught or let the world be destroyed?
The story is somewhat overused. The plot of the world destruction and up to heroes and villains to save the world is overdone by Capcom at this time but it’s still more enjoyable nonetheless, though losing its appeal.
It’s a 7 out of 10. Overused story, plot and such but shouldn’t deter from the gameplay.
Graphics : 8
The graphic’s department…. Most models are the same sprites from other games and it’s pretty lazy when some don’t match the quality of others (Morrigan is a huge example of looking odd). Other characters have a new sprite designed just for this game and they look well done when comparing to their original design (Strider and Jin). The character select pics are also pretty good, the artwork in general resembles to the sprites, the games that a few originate (Marvel characters and Street fighter, even morrigan), or the shows (Hulk, Wolverine).
The stages are completely new and wonderful. Instead of random areas like previous games (Mall or a live Tv studio) most stages represent their original properties like the Daily Bugle from Spider-Man, Dr. Wily’s lab from Mega man, or even a undead rock concert from DarkStalkers. Stages are rather lively also but from playing I noticed that they took out level changing mechanics (levels change through breaking the floors or changing the atmosphere) but it not a big deal when these stages look wonderful.
The graphics itself, the animation is fast, the players are responsive and the gameplay is smooth without much slow down or frame loss. Well except for MegaMan when he does a super move, sometimes there is a dip in frame rate when next to him getting hit or blocking his Supers.
The areas itself are rather large either horizontal or vertical (when super jumping) and it gives plenty of room to fight. One issue is the super moves, when flashing it can be bothersome for those who are sensitive to flashing lights. I don’t have that problem but it’s just a bother for a few. Though a special super move input does allow a psychedelic effect on the background (more on later)
The attract screen is amazing also, the start up with “The crossover returns” with the large logo Marvel vs Capcom with a pseudo 3D effect background and lightning all over the letters to give it a flashy feel to attract people to pour in quarters. Shows off a bit of gameplay and high scores. Honestly with the attract screen I can see how people would swarm to the game with how flashy it is.
Overall it’s an 8 out of 10. The stages are wonderful, graphics are amazing but lazy attempt reusing assets form previous games. New characters look great.
Depth : 8
The game offers the same amount of content in modes as the previous game, just an arcade mode and nothing else.
The characters have been revamped again. Coming back from the Capcom series is Zangief, Ryu, Chun Li with Ryu having two forms (Ken and Akuma) through in game inputs. New to the series is Captain Commando, Mega Man, Morrigan, Strider, and Jin. Some secret characters can be unlocked which are mostly palette swaps with some differences in gameplay (lower health, higher jump as examples.)
The marvel series returning characters are Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Hulk, and Gambit (from X-men vs Street Fighter) new to the series is War Machine (Iron man move set) and Venom. Again secret characters are present in the game that alters the character’s abilities but mostly palette swaps.
The game is the same premise like the last few vs. series. It’s a best of one with a team of two fighting each other until one team is defeated by depletion of health or lowest health combined when the timer goes to zero. You can replenish health by switching players as one fights and the other rests until the red bar is filled up with health once more. It disappears when you tag back in prematurely, losing the red bar once in combat.
The mechanics are largely the same. The exception is that they removed tag assists and added a “third character” that is used as an assist for a set number of times (better the assist, lower amount of times you’re able to use in a match). A total of 22 characters are present in the game as only assists, from Capcom’s Arthur and Anita to Marvel’s Jubilee, Juggernaut and such. Out of those 22 assists, only two are secret assists.
Super moves and Double tag combos make a return, using super gauge to initiate the supers. One new addition is a “Super Tag Combos” which allows you to have both players in the match for a limited time to simultaneously hit and use an infinite amount of super moves in a limited time period before the timer is out. This mechanic is broken and it gives more chaos when playing the game. I feel like this is the best addition to the game.
The roster… it’s broken. Some are better than others. Some have high armor or health while others can punish you with a lot of health loss. Speed and how far they can jump, some can climb on the side of the screen or even double jump. The mechanics are broken in a fun way and doesn’t hinder the game one bit. It does the job well.
Again, the main appeal is multiplayer to fight against other human opponents and that’s hours of fun if invested.
Overall, the depth is an 8 out of 10. The gameplay hasn’t changed from other previous arcade installments, but the new features help it freshen up the gameplay very well. I know console versions have more to offer.
Sound : 10
The game brings back many classic themes from previous games and some new ones from retiring characters and it’s not a downgrade I’ll say. From Ryu’s new “Street Fighter II intro” theme the iconic Spider-Man theme (the best one) these songs are meant to be legendary status. None of them are lackluster, all of them are near perfection to characterize the fighters, and it resembles the feel of the Capcom and Marvel fighting games. The announcer has been switched to a female voice and she does a wonderful job announcing the game’s title, the fight announcement and character select. She’s more energetic and spunky compared to the more aggressive and loud announcer from the previous game. Don’t get me wrong, they both done a great job but the woman does it better in my opinion.
The voices are samples through the respective titles they belong to (Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, X-men, Dark Stalkers as examples) and players who are crossing to the fighting series, voices did a wonderful job capturing the essence of the character (Venom and Strider for example) and the sound effects are clean and clear. Q-Sound continues to improve with their quality audio.
Sound is a 10 out of 10. One of the best I’ve heard in the fighting series yet and the songs are the best part of the game with every character having their own theme.
Addictive : 9
The game is highly addictive with its over exaggerated gameplay and mechanics. The tag combos and assists can keep you playing for hours if trying to learn which is the best combination of players. Playing against other people is a huge plus with a decent size roster and beautiful stages. This is a game worth playing.
Addictive is a 9 out of 10. Nothing to say but near perfection.
Difficulty : 8
The game isn’t difficult as much as too much blocking and counters. I mean yeah it gets tough on the later stages but with some practice and combos it gets easier. The hardest of them all is Onslaught himself with moves reminiscent of Magneto and Apocalypse and having two stages in the round to make it harder to defeat when you lose a fighter. This game is a quarter muncher for those who are unskilled.
Difficulty is an 8 out of 10. Characters can be cheap and Onslaught is rather difficult at times depending on which fighters you choose.
Overall this is the game to get if you want to skip the Marvel vs Street Fighter or haven’t picked up a marvel game in a while. While the character designs for some are just the same as the previous titles they were on, the gameplay shouldn’t be deterred by it. Honestly it’s a game worth playing for hours or even somewhat competitive if that’s more your style, well before the sequel and last game of the 2D fighting sprites are present in this franchise.
My rating : 9.0 out of 10.
Review rating : 8.5 out of 10.

My first review! BatmanvsDeadpool
This is my first review!
Marvel vs Capcom was one of the first Capcom fighting games I've ever played. I remember borrowing it from a friend on the Playstation and me and my brother played it a lot! It's definitely one of the best arcade games ever. I see it all the time in lots of arcades. It wasn't until much later that the ps1 version was really bad. Although the Dreamcast version is way better from what I've heard. One thing I didn't like about the game is that it has a small roster of only 15 characters. There were more Capcom characters than Marvel characters. My favorite character is Venom. This game will always be one of the best arcade fighters ever. For sure.

Clash of Greats Voldo
Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes...what is there to say about one of the best arcade fighters in the history of gaming? The game is just phenomenal. Really great graphics for an arcade game and props for whoever translated it on Vizzed. It plays as clean as it did (in some cases, still do) as it did in the arcades. The combination of characters makes it even more fun (my team is Wolverine and Ryu). Arcade forces you to tackle various teams in effort to fight and beat Onslaught, (did I mention he is tough as Wolverine's claws?). This games in coming years, will be great, but never...EVER...as great as this game is.

marvel vs capcom reveiw mh246
Marvel vs capcom is a very good game . In this game you can pick from a total of 15 characters from marvel and capcom. Some of these characters are Zangeif , Ryu ,megaman , strider hryu, war machine iron man and more . This game you choose a team consisting of 2 people you can use special moves to change the odds of the computer winning.each time you fight the computer and win you fight a next computer but each time it is harder than the other until you reach the boss of the game which is onslaught . Onslaught has two forms the first one is weaker and smaller than the second . I mostly recommend this game for action game lovers. Until my next review keep posting and keep playing games and have a nice day
