Now I wasn't really expecting a halo game on the atari2600. BUT I was expecting a bad game. This game gets SO MUCH HATE! And by reading all the reviews it has gotten...... It makes me wonder what this game is going to be like! My pre thoughts are this: hmmmm got bad reviews. Better not play it. But since i'm a hardcore atari fan... i'm gonna go ahead and play it. Just so you know I will be giving slight hints in this review to help the people who hate it get a little farther then they got. Also this is going to be a longer review so sit tight.Story: well i'm not really surprised about this...it has no story. But i'm not gonna say thats a bad thing. Know why? Well first of all its an atari2600 game. Almost no atari2600 game has a story. So what do you expect? And also since this game was made before any other halo game you can't say it should have the same story as the others. If you want it to have a story... MAKE IT UP!Graphics: Now this was real disappointing. The.... graphics are horrible. And yes. i know. Its an atari game. But thats no excuse. The atari has alot of great games like pitfall and kaboom. Those games have good graphics. So why can't this one. BUT let's not lose all hope just yet. Because the next thing i'm talking about... is the gameplay.Gameplay: Now the gameplay is amazing. What more do you wanna do in a halo game? Well you wanna shoot stuff right! Well people are saying there is no gun. Thats a dirty lie. There is a gun. And its real simple to find. STEP 1 at the start of the game go up and there is the gun. Wow. Only one step is needed to get the gun. WAS THAT SO HARD!? Another complaint is that you have to find the gun. Well.. yes i know you wanna start off with the gun but the game is an adventure action shooter game. And plus. Many games have a gimick like that. So thats NOTHING to complain about. The gameplay is fun simple and fast. There is alot of action in the game too. What more can you ask for?Difficulty: Now this game is the hardest atari2600 game I have ever played. I understand why people don't like it. Its hard. But that doesn't mean its bad. There are games that are LOVED to death like megaman and contra. And those are some really hard games. So why is this one different?In conclusion: I like this game. Its fun hard and a game worth playing. Just so you know I have managed to beat this game without the use of savestates. Anyway please tell me what you think of the review. PEACE! (And yes I know. And I'm sorry I haven't gotten to reviewing megaman 3 yet. I'll do that once I have beaten it.)

Overall - 6.5

This Halo game on the Atari is just so messed up.  I did not enjoy it because you can't use any guns and all you can do is move and open doors.  I am a Halo fan and what I think about it is that it is not fair.

Graphics - 8

The graphics were not that bad.  It looked like an arcade game for a Halo game on the XBOX 360. :P

Sound - 8

The sound is okay, there is just no songs in the game. :S

Addictiveness - 4

I wouldn't play it much, though, it is Halo.  I might try it again and see if I can get better at it.

Story - N/A

There is no story in this game.

Depth - 6

There is just not a lot of things in this game.  First off, if you touch the wall, you die.  How stupid is that? :S Second of all, you can't shoot.  It just sounds like a hacked game that is impossible to beat, but it is not.

Difficulty - 7

I would not say that the game is very hard, but it is a little difficult.  You need to be a good dodger to play this game. :P

Halo is very famous and this game must have gotten people talking about making a good game out of it.  I would not recommend trying this game out, but you may try it out if you want if you are a Halo fan. :)

This is no doubt the worst halo game, there is a gun on the upper map screen from when you start, but the difficulty is just so unfair, the other games were better because they didn't need health, they had shields that recharge, I will give it difficulty, but the depth not at all, I really don't even think there is a story besides of course trying to demolish the aliens. But this game just sucks, you start off in what I guess is the planet halo, and you need to fight aliens until the end of, the level, or the game is just one big level, but I cant even get that far before losing all my health and lives. The game is truly worthless and is a great challenge for gamers, but if you don't have a LOT of patience, good luck

Halo 2600   ZacharyPiskura
If you are a fan of fast pace, stunning graphics and, action packed Halo this may not be the game for you. However, if you enjoy simple, laid back, and did I mention simple? Halo game you may be pleasantly  surprised by this game as I was. As far as graphics go it is simple Atari 2600 fashion gaming, and I believe the covenant that is battled are a selection of Grunts and Elites. I haven't gone too much into the game but from what I've done the addictiveness is very high I find myself on the computer the next day and I decide to play Halo 2600, therefore not as addictive as the Xbox360/PC games but still addictive. I would recommend giving it a try if you are curious.

The year is 2552. Planet Earth still exists, but overpopulation has forced many of her former residents to colonize other worlds. After contact with an outer colony was lost, a battlegroup was sent to investigate and was almost completely destroyed; only one badly damaged ship returned to tell of a seemingly unstoppable alien warship that had effortlessly annihilated their forces.

This was humankind's first encounter with a group of aliens they eventually came to know as the Covenant, a collective of alien races bent on wiping out humanity. A desperate plan is set in motion: board a Covenant vessel and
