Best. Game. Ever.   aquabludolphin18
Wii Sports Resort is a masterpiece that throws repeated waves of fun at you and other people around you.Its exciting games, beautiful colors, and fluent control really make this one great classic for the Wii and will always be remembered.
Graphics: 8
The 3D models in the game are very colorful and realistic, however some models such as the Miis could've been done better. Most people would like to see their characters have arms and legs all the times instead of sometimes because it can feel weird to be floating as a blob with a head and floating spheres as hands. But, for the most part, the graphics are beautiful and very detailed, for example, the sea is colored quite nicely and does not appear to be pixelated or very bland. Another great example are the cabins that you find when flying around the island. If you can get close enough, you can clearly identify that they are made of wood because of their textures and because you can find gaps that separate the wall into individual planks. The ducks on the pond look very cute and adorable, like you want to play with them. I would say the same for the dogs, too.Overall, the graphics are mostly well-done, they show the true graphical capabilities if the Nintendo Wii.
Sound: 10
The music track in this video game is very catchy and nice and suits the word "Resort" perfectly. Just by listening to the music, you can get the sense that you are on a tropical island, lying on a beach while feeling the waves hit your feet. The music is extremely enjoyable, and it makes you feel happy and gives you a sense of joy. Especially the hidden music in this game; for instance, when you are near the Cabana Lagoon, if you cut off the engine, you can hear someone in the lagoon playing a guitar version of the title screen theme.
The sound effects are very realistic, such as the noise of splashing water you hear when you are canoeing, the sound of your sword slicing through a fruit, a candle or even a machine, and the sound of a the ping pong ball bouncing on the table. To sum it all up, the music tracks are excellent, and the sound effects are realistic and clear.
Addictiveness and Depth: 10
The level of addictiveness is extremely high. The activities you do in this game are very fun because there is always so much to complete and so much to do, because of that, they can really make you want to play this 24/7.
For example, in Island Flyover, there are a whopping 80 I points to collect and an even higher number of balloons to pop, plus two islands and everything in between to explore. Every time you play, you only get five minutes, so you need to play a lot to collect all I points and pop all balloons. Another reason why it is so addictive is because of how many mini games there are to play. There are 12 mini games with a lot of different modes, so it counts as more than 15 mini games; and half of them are multiplayer!
The multiplayer is a great addition to this game. You can try to shoot down your friend in dogfight, or you can all work as a team in canoeing or cycling.
In a nutshell, the huge depth of this game makes it very addictive and fun to play. You may spend hours playing this.
Story: (Blank)
There is no story to this game however in the introduction, we see a random Mii from the Mii Channel skydive down to Wuhu Island, where all 12 mini games take place; insisting that the Miis are taking a vacation. There are also some back stories to some I point areas. For instance, the Mysterious Ruins' description says that the ruins may have been built to scare of thieves. In conclusion, there is no story but there are mini stories about certain I point areas.
Difficulty: 5 (May Vary)
The difficulty in this game may vary because it depends on how much you exercise. If you exercise often, this game will be a breeze. If you are inactive or have stubby arms, this may be difficult. The mini games aren't generally hard, they just require some skill. However, sometimes they can?exaggerate?the feeling; such as when you are playing canoeing, sometimes in order to finish the race, you must move you arms so fast until they feel so stiff and uncomfortable that you feel like they will fall off at any time.
However, the controls are very fluent and accurate, so you cannot say that the controls are horrible.
Summary
This game is truly great. With amazing, colorful graphics, enjoyable music, life like sound effects, high level of addictiveness, interesting back stories and introduction, 12 mini games and multiplayer, and average difficulty, this game is awesome.
This is certainly a must have game for the Wii and even if you don't agree with me we can all agree on one thing: This will always be remembered.

The Sequel -- Wuhu or Buhu?   EideticMemory
The Sequel -- Wuhu or Buhu?
Released in 2009, Wii Sports Resort immerses you into 12 enjoyable events, including Swordplay, Archery, and Cycling. As a sequel to the highly popular Wii Sports, this game shows off the capabilities of the Wii Motion Plus sensor through enjoyable shells of  vacation sports.
The game takes place on Wuhu island, a vacation hot-spot with opportunities for vacation activities you can't find anywhere else.
With it’s incredible success, the price has remained high over the years. My goal is to provide helpful analysis to help you choose whether to buy it.
A word of caution: Be careful! My of the deals you see online will only provide the game without the Wii Motion Sensor, which costs just as much as a new game.
So without further ado, let’s jump in!
Graphics: 4 / 10
Unimpressively simple, the primitive graphics won’t astound you. They’re mind-numbingly uncomplicated and clear. While there is a noticeable improvement from Wii Sports, the simplicity remained the same.
Improvements in the Sports Menu and HUD of events are subtle but present. On the other hand, the 3D graphics remains years behind other released games.
The simplicity attempts to draw younger and older players alike. By eliminating distractions, the game does not look confusing and it entices family and friends to try it out. Similar to Wii Sports, WSR does not want to eliminate any potential players, but in the process of doing so, loses graphics quality.
The unrealistic design of the “Mii”s are intentional and they showcase a creative Wii idea in its original form.
While the designers used simplicity and subtle improvements to appeal to a broader population, the poor detail lowers the score to 4 / 10.
Sound / Music: 10 / 10
As soon as you open the game, clear and melodious background music grabs your attention. The well-written tracks are original and distinct. They’re easily distinguishable from the tracks of Wii Sports and show innovation on the part of the designers.
By creating a peaceful atmosphere that’s still exciting, the soundtracks make you feel like you’re actually on a vacation on Wuhu island. They create a sense of timelessness and evoke pleasant memories when heard.
Sound effects are clear and crisp. With every action that your Mii makes, instantaneous  sound effects bring the actions to life. They do not get annoying and add to the experience of the game. Impressively, WSR manages to play excellent sound effects in each of the 12 sports featured.
Once again, the designers were original and innovative, creating songs that would easily be associated with the game. 10 / 10.
Addictiveness: 9 / 10
Shells of sports allow for simple fun. It takes very little time to learn how to play games and their objectives are very simple.
Similar to Wii Sports, social gaming is taken to a new level. With many games based on team coordination and effort, you must work together to win. With four players, teams of two make sports highly competitive.
While multiplayer attracts the most players to the game, single-player additions make this game far superior to WS. Swordplay single player games allow you to face an army one man at a time, using ninja-like fighting skills to progress. Air Sports allows flyovers of the island, where a single-player searches for checkpoints and boosts using the increased capabilities of Wii Motion Plus. Single-player archery allows you to practice your aim on far targets.
While keeping its incredible reputation for multiplayer play, this sequel has managed to improve single player as well. Both remain addictive long after first play.
9 / 10.
Story: N / A
Like Wii Sports, there is no story. You and your Mii friends play vacation sports on Wuhu island. Anyone can join in with little practice. Some activities merely test reflexes and arm endurance. Unlike WS, WSR includes games that one may not know much about. Still, only a short period of learning is required for anyone to start playing.
Depth: 5 / 10
Like WS, it takes 1000 points to reach pro status. Often you’ll play to beat your friends or make a highscore. Unlike WS, that isn’t all you can do.
While no sport on WSR can compare to the incredibly superficial Baseball from WS, the limited depth of games like Basketball do make them boring. With only the options of shooting, passing, jumping, and stealing, basketball can often be luck-based and stalemated.
Without any control of movement, inexperienced players have a better chance against veterans, but the gameplay doesn’t remain enjoyable for long.
A new option for stamps gives importance to achievements. For each of the 12 sports, multiple achievements make gameplay much longer and at least 12 hours would be needed to get all stamps for the average player. Flyovers have dozens of locations to find. While I have found almost 60, there are still many left to find.
WSR makes definite improvements in depth, including better single-player and a stamp achievement system.  5 / 10.
Difficulty: 5 / 10
Controls are simple and AI opponents have minimal difficulty when first playing. However, pro level AI opponents do pose a tough challenge. In table tennis, the final opponent rarely makes mistakes and can return strongly curved hits. Unlike WS, the AIs are no joke and have actual difficulty.
Better motion control makes bowling harder as it’s harder to repeat your exact movements to keep hitting strikes. More realistic results increase difficulty but improve gameplay.
Since everyone plays at different levels, the point system assigns you an opponent based on how well you play. Thus, you’re more likely to play someone at your level if you’re inexperienced or young.
The game caters to the need of difficulty for players of different experience levels. Even hardcore gamers will have trouble with the upper level AI opponents.
Opportunity for increased difficulty raises the score to 5 / 10.
Overall: 8 / 10
Scoring holistically, the game receives an impressive overall score of 8 / 10.
Strengths of the game included better gameplay for both single and multiplayer and increased difficulty. Even weaknesses of the game showed improvement from WS. They included poor graphics detail and less depth.
I would recommend getting this game if you enjoyed Wii sports and want to have a prequel that matched proved superior in all aspects.
You might also decide to buy it for:
1. social gatherings for children and adults
2. peaceful gaming with vacation music
3. long-term return through personal enjoyment and playing with friends
In any case, I found the game to be a great addition.
Examining WSR and comparing it to WS turned out to be quite a challenge! I’m curious to see how you felt about the game.
Thank you for reading!

Wii Sports Resort   Barathemos
OK, this is a review on Wii Sports Resort. ( For the Wii. Duh) This game is a game with variety with whatever you are into. This is a great game overall, not the best but defiantly not a bad game. That is why I give it a 9/10. Overall one of the best Wii games I have played. The games include Archery,Frisbee, Basketball, Cycling, Canoeing, Power Cruising, Table Tennis, Air Sports, Bowling, Swordplay, Golf and Wakeboarding. This is 12 overall, this is indeed a good variety.
Graphics: 9
The graphics for the Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort games are fairly good and are playable with the mi's. The background for the events are very good showing lots of detail and with very good 3-D graphics. The Mi's as you know are not exactly good looking, they are fine to look at but you will not exactly go "Wow! That Mi looks almost real!!!" They are not exactly THAT good, I can not stand looking at them for a long period of time.
Sound: 10
First of all this music is the type of game music that you can actually stand. This may have a very repetitive music scheme but it is pretty good. If you are trying to learn how to play one of the games you won't be too focused on the music and you won't be all like :  "I want to turn off the sound but it will take too much energy." You will not really care about the music unless you just sit there and do absolutely nothing.
Addictiveness: 7
Some games on this one big game will make you want to turn it off but than you can just go to another one! That is what is so special about it. If you for instance start to get mad at Frisbee you can just change it to say Basketball and you will be playing that for the next hour. You will be playing this "game" for a long time by the time you are done.
Story: ?
Well there is no story. The only thing that you have to do is complete all 12 games and the games inside of those 12 games. I guess there is a story in the Adventure part of Swordplay, you have to beat every level and there are a lot.
Depth: 7
In this game there is a lot to do. You have 12 big games and each has different mini parts in that game. This takes a long time to complete. The levels are very long and take quite a bit of time to do. The main games have mini games that can take between 1 minute to 2 days. So overall to do everything and master everything will take you around 5-10 days, if you learn fast. Basically this will take a while.
Difficulty: 6
This game has some very hard parts to it and some very easy parts. As examples an easy part is Wakeboarding and a very hard one is Frisbee. Frisbee will take you a long time to complete say 2-3 days ( If you are good and a fast learner) and Wakeboarding will take you anywhere from 2-60 minutes to become very good at. ( I was more on the 2 minute side!) There are some other games that are hard and some more that are easy but these are just some examples.
If you are a gamer who is looking for a good and fun game that will also give you some stress than you want to get Wii Sports Resort for your Wii and just have some fun. I would always recommend this game to people who had just gotten a Wii.
                                                                           Enjoy!

The Wii Sports Expansion Pack... Just Kidding   Pacman+Mariofan
Introduction
Welcome to my review of Wii Sports Resort! This is a fun “sequel” to Wii Sports. Fun fact: I didn’t have this game until only a couple years ago. Then when I got it from the lovely GameStop store, it didn’t work. So I had to get a different copy. Anyway!... this game is pretty cool I guess. I have occasionally played this with friends, and it’s been fun. So I’ll explain why this game is fun and sometimes compare it to the original Wii Sports!
Graphics
8/10
I am impressed that this game’s graphics are so shiny. And the attention to detail with the beach resort theme is quite nice. It gives this game a good vacation feel. I love the style of my Mii’s vacation shirt. I like the pretty view that I can see while playing table tennis. Most of all, I enjoy seeing the pop cans on the table tennis table that I can smack with my ball, and I enjoy seeing the nighttime 3-pointer basketball contest! Never thought a nighttime sports event in a game could look so good! These graphics aren’t perfect, but there aren’t a lot of horrible flaws with them either.
Animation
8/10
Some animation in this game is a little lacking in my opinion, such as when the pop cans are hit in table tennis. Not that I expect them to spontaneously combust, but it could be better and more funny. I really like the animation in this game though. The game starts off strong with the Miis being in an airplane and skydiving. That scene entertained me when I started playing the game for the first time! Good job to the creators of this game for how nice the table tennis animations are! Those are probably my favorite. A close second would be the fireworks in the 3-point contest. It’s so satisfying when I play the return challenge and whack the CPU in the face with a ball a ton of times (don’t judge me), and even greater when I spike that ball! It’s cool that there are fireworks when I make a bucket in basketball because it makes me feel special. The animations are easy to keep up with, and they are very clear.
Depth
10/10
There are 12 sports in this game. Quite the improvement over the original Wii Sports which had only 5. I only play a few of these sports often on this game, but I like that I have so many options available. And these games have some neat modes too. For example, basketball has the 3-point contest and the pickup game. Bowling has the normal game, 100-pin game, and spin control. The variety of modes and gameplay differences makes this a refreshing game to play once in a while. Also, the pro status system being back is pretty cool I guess even though it means nothing.
Story
2/10
There is actually kind of a story to this game! In the beginning, a bunch of Miis are chillin’ in a plane. Then they suddenly gotta jump off for some reason. So my Mii and other Miis come down in our fancy little parachutes and enjoy our vacation blowing so much money on sports! OK, I added that last part but everything before the “blowing so much money” part is true.
Difficulty
8/10
Because of the WiiMotion Plus controls this game has, it can be a little tough to get used to anything in this game for a while. As I’m sure many people can say, I played the original Wii Sports first for a long time before playing this one. It was weird to be bowling in this game with a completely different movement technique. And golf is a complete nightmare for me. Don’t even get me started on Frisbee Golf. Uuuughhh…
Once I got used to the controls, this game is still pretty difficult. I once reached pro status in the 3-point contest game, but it’s been years and I haven’t gotten it back. Then again, I don’t play this very much. Which brings me to the addictiveness category.
Addictiveness
3/10
There aren’t a lot of things in this game that keep me coming back. Ever since I got this game, I haven’t played it much. I can get hooked on this game when I’m trying to beat my friend’s 3-point contest record (can you tell that is my favorite part of the game?). But nothing else keeps my interest for long. I’m even less interested when I’m having a really hard time with the WiiMotion Plus controls.
Sound Effects
10/10
I really love the sound effects in this game! Some games like the return challenge for table tennis can get long and repetitive, but the sound effects make it more worthwhile! I can’t get enough of the swish sound in the 3-point contest game! WOOHOO! The sound effects can enhance the game experience especially when I do something impressive!
Music
10/10
The music in this game puts me in a good mood! It helps me to be ready for some action, or helps me while I’m playing a game. That 3-point contest theme though… it’s an absolute MASTERPIECE. I could probably make a dance routine to that song… but I probably won’t.
Overall Rating
59/80 OR 74%-- a C
This game is pretty cool. I like the original Wii Sports MUCH better, but that doesn’t mean this game isn’t OK. I enjoy this once in a great while. I hope you enjoyed this review! Have a great day/night!

A sequel to a fun timekiller   DragonSlayer22
What a heck of a game that we have here. This game was one of the most fun of the WII games that came out for the console. I played this against my sibling and my friends and I would dominate at things like swordplay.
Graphics: 7 The graphics are simplistic, yet detailed enough to somewhat look realistic. You play with your own mii that you make on the console (or just choose one of the pre-made guest mii's that they have included) and the whole map looks like it would fit the looks of a mii and not have a colorful character in a realistic and dark world.
Sound: 8 It has music that is nice to listen to at times. The music can also match the situation of the game that you are playing. Other thanthat the game has basic sound effects.
Addictiveness: 8 The game is simple and fun enough to play for anyone. It has enough games to keep you occupied for hours with either a computer opponent, or another real person that you could play against like a sibling.
Story: N/A
Well, there's not much here. You are a person who goes to a resort and plays sports and stuff. I don;t know of any  other story to really put here to technically qualify as one unless you literally make up your own backstory for your character.
Depth: 7
There is a lot to do in this game, whether it is fight against A.I. opponents in swordplay, or race against them around the island, It is your choice what to do in this game and you can complete the games in any order you want.
Difficulty: 8 The game starts out quite easy, but the computer opponents can get quite hard later in the game. Especially Swordplay Duel, which in some of the later stages, can get pretty hard. Sometimes the achievements are hard to get too depending on which one you want to get.
OVERALL: 8.6
The game is fun and can be played for 10 minutes or even over 1 hour. It is fun to challenge yourself against your friends in this game and is for anyone who knows how to push buttons and wave around a controller, seriously you can play the game only knowing that. I had a lot of fun playing this game when I was younger and still have fun playing it today and I recommend it to anyone that owns a WII or WII U and has a WII Motion Plus accessory for their WII remote.
