How do the current generation Pokemon games hold up?   Zlinqx
Before I proceed with this review no this is not the other review I've been working on either... It's been taking a bit longer then I first thought (mainly because I've been too lazy from being busy doing other stuff) but I will get the review out this week as I'm about 2 thirds done with the game.
Yes another Pokemon game... You know I almost started to feel cold when my 3 latest reviews haven't been about Pokemon nor was this going to be either but since the review I planned for now is taking a bit longer then it should and I had a reviewing itch (is that a thing now)
I figured why not review the Pokemon game I knew would be the hardest for me to review!.. As you might know if you read my Pokemon White 2 review, I completely adored it and called it the best game in the main series and I still stand by that statement. So some of you might wonder what exactly I think about Pokemon X and Y and you're about to find out.
-Insert witty joke about how I've said let's get into it too many times-
Graphics: 9
So perhaps the most anticipated thing for many once this game was first revealed was that this would be the first main series game to make the jump to 3d and it did so quite nicely. The Pokemon, environments and characters all look nice and I feel that the graphics style they went for fits the Pokemon universe very well. I have no major complaints really only a few nitpicks such as the camera being a bit awkward at times and while I don't use the 3d effect too much I do still think they could've tried utilising it a bit more. Still the graphics in this game are great and I'd definitely call it the best main series game graphics wise. Also a few other cool features that I thought I would mention is that you are now actually able to pimp out customize your trainer!... Well to some degree as there are clothing shops in many of the towns which you can buy clothes for your trainer from, there's also a few different hair styles/colours and eye colours to choose from. It's not the most in depth system but it's still a nice feature and allows you to personalize your trainer a bit more. Speaking of which you can also make your own little intro that will play before a battle starts when battling against others, like customizing your trainer it also gives you a bit more room to personalize your character and make you stand out a bit more.
Sound: 8
Now firstly let me get this straight, I don't think the soundtrack in this game is bad by any means but compared to generation 5 games I do actually think it's a step down, the soundtracks felt a bit bland to me and repetitive at times (some also feeling a tad to similar to soundtracks from previous games) and there wasn't as many nor as much variety as there were in the previous games (like how each gym no longer has it's own soundtrack). And while there were still some soundtracks I liked I was left wanting more after hearing the excellent soundtrack from the previous games. So simply put while not a bad soundtrack it just failed to live up to it's predecessors in my opinion. As for the sound effects I didn't notice too much of a difference here compared to previous games. They were done well and usually fit the situation nicely and I don't really have any gripes with them.
Addictiveness: 9
The region had pretty diverse environments to explore which looked great with the excellent graphics, not to mention that I felt this game also offered a bit more variety in battles due to adding a lot of smaller features such as sky battles, horde battles, changing the exp share, pokemon amie, the new fairy type (which also helps balance in the metagame a bit) and of course the new pokemon and moves in the game (which by the way while not as many new Pokemon were introduced as in previous generations I thought they were all great and this is the one generation where I haven't found a single Pokemon I disliked). Safe to say this game kept me addicted throughout and if you're a fan of playing Pokemon competitively then this is definitely the definitive Pokemon game to do so. Which also brings me to super training a nice addition for those looking to get into the metagame which offers an alternative to train up your pokemons evs (if you don't know what that is I suggest googling it and thank me later) through minigames which while not as effective as simply battling Pokemon can be more fun and offer some variety but why gamefreak can't just show the evs somewhere on the stat screen of each Pokemon I'll never know. I also thought that the new mega evolutions were a great addition and added a bit of a spin on old Pokemon (but seriously I can't think of charizard x being made for any other reason then fanservice). However I do find it kind of strange that their supposed to be related to the bond between a Pokemon and a trainer yet anyone with a mega ring will be able to mega evolve a Pokemon. Seems like it should've been based on the happiness of the Pokemon or something like that but they didn't do it because players would think it would be too tedious to level up a pokemons happiness just to get it to mega evolve, got a little off topic but there but just something I thought about.
Story: 7
This game is a lot like games before generation 5 as in the story sort of takes a back seat and there's more of a focus on trying to catch, train and battle with your Pokemon instead. The evil team called Team Flare honestly just wasn't that interesting to me and unlike in previous games where they evil teams always felt like somewhat of threat I didn't feel that here since they always seemed to be 1 step behind me. Most of the characters also just didn't seem as interesting as in White 2 to me either, though that could also be because they're simply not expanded very much upon (the champion in this game was the most boring one in the series in my opinion). With that said this game storyline wasn't horrible or anything compared to other Pokemon games and it still fits the game pretty well and had some interesting parts but I just feel that there was a lot of potential that was wasted and that it wouldn't have hurt to go a little bit more in depth especially when it came to the characters. However one thing I will praise the game for is the side quest that you can complete after beating the game involving Looker (a recurring character in the Pokemon games). Now I wont really delve into it since I don't want to spoil it but the first time playing it you're in for a treat. And I certainly wouldn't mind if these kinds of side quests would be something we saw more of in future Pokemon games.
Depth: 8
I'd say that this game could arguably be the shortest in the series besides the original red, blue and yellow. There's not that much to do after beating the champion except the previously mentioned side mission, battling in the battle maison (which is more or less the battle tower/ battle subway of this game) and the battle chateau (a building where you can take on trainers earning higher ranks as you defeat several of them which in turns makes it so you can face stronger trainers even featuring some of the gym leaders and the champion).
There's also a few areas to explore in search for legendary Pokemon and you can also try finding all the mega stones but beside that there's not too much to do in terms of the single player game. However assuming you do complete all this you're still most likely going to be sinking a lot of hours into it possibly replaying it, trying to catch all pokemon, making teams and battling competitively and such (basically like you would in any other Pokemon game). So while this might not be quite as big of a package as say White 2 and Black 2 or Heartgold and Soulsilver, it will still keep you busy.
Difficulty: 5
I'd say this game was a tad bit easier then the average Pokemon game (with the exception of the original red and blue of course) partly due to the exp share (awards 50% of the exp gained to all Pokemon in the party instead of just one Pokemon while also has to hold it). However I don't think it's as overpowered as some people make it out to be, gamefreak did a pretty good job of adjusting levels to not make it game breakingly easy and the exp share does eliminate a lot of grind. Not to mention you can turn it off thankfully if you feel it's too cheap and do a nuzlocke or come up with other rules to make the game harder. Or you can do what I did since the exp share does eliminate a lot of grind I decided to train more then 6 pokemon and rotate between them which I found pretty fun as it also added variety due to having a larger selection of Pokemon to use (although the game was still pretty easy). If anything what made the game a bit easier for me was that the trainers, especially the gym leaders felt a bit easier here then they did in previous games.
Overall: 8.3
I honestly have a really hard time giving this game an overall score. It's not bad by any means and is really great in some areas like the gameplay and graphics but it also left me a bit disappointed in some areas (mainly the soundtrack, story and post game content). So I'd say this game is somewhere in the middle for me when it comes to ranking it with the other Pokemon games. It's definitely the Pokemon game I think was the hardest to review for me due to having very mixed opinions on it so I settled for giving it a 8.6 which I feel is a pretty fair score.
And as for who I recommend this game to I'd say anyone who's interested in Pokemon really especially newcomers to the franchise as I'd say this is definitely the most accessible out of all the Pokemon games and is a great starting point. Though it's not the best in my opinion it's still a great addition to the series and while it has it's fair share of flaws it also made some great additions to the franchise. Now if only they would combine the best parts of this game with the best parts of White 2 and Black 2...
Anyways I'm pretty satisfied with how this review turned out but as always please leave some feedback telling me how I can improve my review and also things I did well. The other review I've been working on is coming sometime this week which I'm almost 100% sure of but until then there's this. Oh and also don't forget to rate it :3 I'd say fairly but you probably get it by now.
And I almost forgot summons! (If you want me to stop summoning you or want me to add you to my summon list don't hesitate to tell me :P).

Pokémon Y Review made by TornadoMudkip   TornadoMudkip
NOTE ~ I don't own Pokémon Y but I own Pokémon X. Since Pokémon Y doesn't have any Reviews yet, I decided to post the Review here. (The games are almost the same by the way.)
Graphics ~ 10/10
Instead of 2D, Nintendo introduced 3D for ''A normal adventure Pokémon game.'' If you ask me, they did this wonderful. The graphics are amazing. It just looks like the real thing in the real world!
You can choose between a male and female character. For the first time, you can buy other clothes for your character. This is an awesome new feature for Pokémon games. > So you can make your own stylish main character! You can move every way you want to go with your own unique character. Also for the first time, they introduced roller skates. If you use these, you can see that your character is skating. It looks like it's real in my opinion.
You've got 4 rivals in total. That's pretty much. They all got their own design which is matching their unique personality in the game. The big enemies are Team Flare. They are dumb looking grunts with all red uniforms. They better could use some more colours for them. Only the colour red looks a little boring. But look at the bright side. > The most grunts are using fire Pokémon, so it does make sense if the grunts wear red uniforms after all.
The whole world of Kalos looks fantastic! I saw many landscapes like the sea and snowy places. The makers of this game introduced many types of landscapes and that's why the game looks so very beautiful. < That's because you can visit into one region many types of landscapes. Also another really important part are the colours of the game. Combining landscapes plus beautiful colors is gorgeous! Your mouth will fall open when you see those pretty colours!
The Pokémon sprites are edited too. If you ask me, the most sprites look more good than before. This is probably because this is a 3DS game and not a game for the Game Boy. (It's true that the graphics ten years ago are worse compared to the current graphics for games.)
Sound ~ 9/10
It's just hard to create new and nice sounds for a game. For Pokémon X and Y they did this pretty good.
Almost every thing in the game has an own sound like if you battle your Rival. It does have an other sound than normal battles against trainers. It makes the Rival battles more special. Every location has it's own sound. It's true that some routes/places have the same music but none of the sounds came from older Pokémon Games. The most music is cheerful in my opinion. Although some locations like the Team Flare Lab has a creepy tune. This fits perfectly if you ask me.
Some old Pokémon cry's are changed like the one of Pikachu. Before it was just a cry but now it's ''Pika Pika!'' This is really unique because Pikachu is the only Pokémon who says it's own name in the game if I remember correctly.
Addictiveness ~ 8/10
The game is really addictive in the main story because you can do a lot of things like searching for new Pokémon like the new introduced Pokémon like a Goomy. It's really true that I played this game when I got it for a really long time to train and to complete the story. I almost forgot to sleep! But it's really worse after you completed the main story.
Unlike the other Pokémon games, this game doesn't really have an after game story. The thing you can do after beating the Elite 4 is visiting one new city and catching Pokémon you didn't see yet. Sadly, you can't do much in that city if you don't have friends with a 3DS or a second 3DS + another Pokémon X and Y. That's because you only can enter the Friend Safari if you linked with one of your friends.
To be honest, I didn't play this game that much anymore after I've beaten the game..
Story ~ 8/10
Just like almost every Pokémon game, you need to beat the Elite Four and you need to complete the Pokédex as a new starting trainer. On your path you'll beat much strong trainers and Gym Leaders. Of course, you'll meet lots of old Pokémon and even new ones! You even will see evil people called Team Flare, these ''rats'' try to do something bad using the Legendary Pokémon, it's up to you to stop them.
It's not really original because many Pokémon games have a story like this one but the Rivals, Elite Four and the bad team of the game are always different. That makes the Pokémon games really fun. Maybe the makers of the game could make the story for the next time a little more special and unique, I even would like it more if that happens. The length of the story is perfect if you ask me. Not too long or too short. I expected this from a Pokémon game.
But like always, I always loved classic stories. Even more when the game becomes more modern.
Depth ~ 8/10
The game has much offers compared to other games in the main story. Many new things are introduced to make the game a bit longer. I like it when a game has features like that.
The game has introduced spin-off things/games. For example ~ Pokémon Amie: This is actually something like Nintendogs. You can take care of your Pokémon and making it more friendly towards to you. This is also a way to evolve certain Pokémon. You can play minigames into this feature too like catching berries. As a reward you can get some special ''food'' for your Pokémon. It's perfect when you don't feel like training your Pokémon at the moment and if you want to have some fun with your Pokémon.
Also a new feature is ''Super Training''. With this you can train a Pokémon's EV stats I think. It's pretty funny that you need to destory/beat a balloon Pokémon if you want to get better stats for your Pokémon.
These two things are introduced early in the game. Too bad that there isn't a new feature like one of these two after the main story. (Only Friends Safari but you need to have a friend with this game and a 3DS to do this.) But yeah, I'm glad already with Pokémon Amie and Super Training. Both are cool and fun to do if you ask me.
Difficulty ~ 4/10
Really one of the easiest games I ever played.  It's much easier than other Pokémon games. Thanks to one thing... But maybe because I made it too easy for myself for using that item?
That's the EXP-Share. In other games this item only can be used for one Pokémon. For this game it's completely different. It's a Key Item now, if you press on use this item will help you to level up your Pokémon a bit easier and it works for all Pokémon. This means you don't have to use all your Pokémon in a battle if you want that these Pokémon get EXP. So actually a Pokémon can be lazy and still growing. I think the EXP-Share is a perfect item for beginners because it will help them to train and beat this game easy.
I was fine with being too strong for every trainer. I'm just a person who likes to win. So it's not a big deal. After all, I'm glad they introduced a hard mode system if you want to beat this game at hard mode. Maybe I will try it very soon if I feel like it.
Overall ~ 8.6/10
Overall Pokémon Y (or X) is a great game to play. It has good points and bad points, actually every game has. I can call this game one of the games with the best Graphics! It's really worth to buy it. It has been a while since I did a Review but I did it because I really loved to play this game and I would like that more people will play the game. :)

Pokemon Y introduce a new generation in the series   IgorBird122
Ok, it's been a little while since I have done one of these reviews, but I think that a review from me has been long overdue, so with that
saying, time for a review from me.
Pokemon Y is one of two games that was released on October 12th, 2013, which introduce a brand new generation to the series known as the 6th Pokemon Generation which means we have a brand new region which is called “Kalos” with 69 new Pokemon introduce to the PokeDex to make a grand total of 718 Pokemon (and face it, that is a whole lot of critters right there)., and brings a lot into the series like I’ll mention below. This game also introduce a lot of interesting features (and to my opinion, I think these games has more introductions than any other first game in the past generations), with a lot more improvements with the trading, a brand new graphic introduction (which I will describe more below under “graphics” ), and for the first time ever, a brand new evolution level known as “Mega Evolution”.
Graphics...
I got to say, for the graphics in this game, it is quite a huge improvement from the past games in the series, the reason why is with the new 3-dimensional graphics that the 3DS provides, such as a more semi-realistic look for the settings (like made the settings a little more realistic, but keep that cartoony look like we all very know in the whole series) such as the buildings in the cities and towns you visit, they all look like they all are make quite well. Plus the weather in the same (which was introduced in Gen V) looks a lot more realistic than before, and that is a huge improvement to the series. And not just that, but all the Pokemon in the game has got a huge graphic upgrade since the last games, and why I’m saying that, it gives them a full detail of their looks and for the first time ever in the series, you can see their reaction when they use their moves, rather than just a “one moving sprite”, and this being the first 3D handheld, this add a whole lot of flavor to the series and for future games in the series as well.
With the Graphics, I have to give it a
9 out of 10, the graphics in the game just looks oh so good, if you know what I mean, with it being the first "3-D' Pokemon game, the 3-D expectation of the game is quite outstanding.
Sound Effects / Music...
This is what makes this game really unique, the sound effects and the music, and with all the past games, it’s a little tough to have a new sound effect for the game which is understandable, but in this game, they have tried a whole lot more sound effects and I think they really did a good job with it, and with the Pokemon cries, they really make it a whole lot more clearer than in past games, like I have a few that I have traded with others and listening to then vs. listening to them in the past, they sound a lot more clearer than ever before, but this is in fact a newer system, so you have to take that out of consideration, those were earlier games, so they have so much they can work with, but who knows, in future games, they might have a whole lot more clearer sound effects than we have now, that is what I think to my point of view though, so only time will tell.
As for the music, I think the music in this game has also made a whole lot more progress as well with newer changes (well, this is the first game in the new generation, so you’ll bound to hear a lot more newer stuff, but they have really nailed it). As for the battle music, the wild music and battling your rivals (which is new to the series) are very unique in their own way, and it does quite fit in the storyline in the game, and not just that, but you walking around the Kalos region, each city and route has their own music so listening to those music while traveling is quite nice, and personally, I just really love the music that the Pokemon series provides, makes the gamer really enjoy playing this game a whole lot more.
With that said about the Sound Effects and the Music, I have to give this an
8 out of 10, it could be better though but personally, not a whole lot, any Pokemon music is really fine, and as long the player enjoys it, this doesn't really matter a whole lot.
Addiction Level...
This game (and all other Pokemon games since Generation 1) is very addicting in deed, the reason is that you can spend hours upon hours playing this game and in a way, you just don’t want to stop playing and if you’re away from your 3DS for doing something else, you’ll probity thinking “I can’t wait till I can play on my 3DS so I can play some Pokemon”, that is what makes these games highly addictive, because all that you can do with them and with those Pokemon, you can train them, and battle against other trainers, or just walk around the region just for the fun of it, it’s these games personally makes it very addictive in a way, and now with more features added into this game such as Pokemon Amie and Super Training (which I mentioned more below under “Depth” ), this makes a whole lot harder to put your 3DS down, it’s just that so addictive.
So with that all said, I have to give this game a
7 out of 10, It's not really that addicting, especially after future Pokemon games were released, but with it being a Pokemon game, they can be quite addicting though.
The Storyline...
The storyline goes like in the other games, you start out in your hometown (which in this game, it’s Vaniville Town), and you start out with one Pokemon, and you travel along the region (which is Kalos) to capture wild Pokemon and battle against other trainers and battle against gym leaders to gain badges and if you happen to collect 8 of them, you can go onto the Pokemon League and battle against the Elite Four and then the Champion to become the new Pokemon Champion, plus while trying to gain your Pokemon fame, you at the same time have to stop Team Flare (Which are your enemies in the game) and rescue a legendary Pokemon from their labs. But other than that, that is basically the story behind this game, kind of the same storyline as past games, but being in different regions which makes them all different in a way.
But the thing that really killed it though.... THE BLAND STORYLINE AND NO POST-GAME. You know, after playing Black & White as well as Black 2 & White 2, I figure that Game Freak would of had an outstanding Kalos storyline by the time X & Y was released, but I was dead wrong, and don't get me started with Post-Game, Like after you become champion in the Kalos region.... That's it, nothing else after that.
I give the story part a
3 out of 10, would of been better if it wasn't for the bland storyline and the absent of a Post Game.
Depth...
Just like in the past Pokemon games, this also have a lot of depth in them as well, like traveling into different cities/towns, using a lot of Pokemon, which in the new Generation VI, you got like a total of 718 different Pokemon (69 new Pokemon added in the series) to choose from. Also starting in this game (and X as well), you now have an option of customizing your character however you want it with clothing shops known as “Boutiques” around Kalos so you really don’t look the same while you’re collecting your gym badges and defeating the champion, so personally, this introduction of customizing really does a whole lot. Plus this game also introduce two new mini-games known as Pokemon Amie which is a little mini-game where you feed your Pokemon poke puffs and play a couple games with it as well so that way, your Pokemon can get attracted to a whole lot more before, and Super Training where you train your Pokemon to boosted up its stats without battling other Pokemon.
I have to give the depths a perfect
10 out of 10, the reason why is that is what makes a Pokemon game very unique, the stuff you can possibly do in these games, even just in one game like this of an example, there is a whole lot to do in the region, such as explore the area, battle with anyone, or just find something to do with your Pokemon, either way, there is like hours of fun ahead of you once you play this game, try it out for yourself.
Difficulty / Gameplay...
As for the difficulty, just like every other Pokemon entries, it can be quite difficult to get used to the controls, but overtime, you'll get used to it, but once I got used to it, it was quite easy, but then I have start playing Y, since I remember all the things I have done in X, I know on what to do and it is quite easy. In this game, it gets harder the farther you go in the same (or in this case, the more gym badges you collect), and the Elite Four and the Champion can be quite hard if you don’t know a good strategy on how to face them and if you lose, you have to start over and face them 5 again, but the more you practice, the more better you become and the more likely you’ll become the new Pokemon Champion of Kalos.
For the Gameplay, they have done a whole lot with the brand new 3-dimensional movement, instead of moving 4 directions, you can now move in 8 directions, and for other parts of the gameplays, you can also, go fast with the brand new roller-skates (using the circle pad), using a bike (the fastest way you can travel in my opinion), or just simply just walking (using the d-pad), either way you put it, it has a smooth control and when you battle your opponents, just like in Generation IV and V, you can use the touch-screen for easy access for your attacks rather than selecting the moves by control (which you still can do though if you prefer it that way).
For the Difficulty and Gameplay, I have to give it an
7 out of 10 because it is pretty easy if you’re used to it although it will get quite hard the later on you play the game which is pretty typical for a Pokemon game and the controls for the game functions quite well with all the different things you can do.
Overall...
Overall, in this game, this game has became one of my least favorite game in the series, it's nothing to do with the gameplay, or the graphics, or the sound and music, or anything else, but to be honest, it was the Storyline that was a complete letdown combined with a low Addiction Level, especially after the release of Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire.
So, overall, I got to give this game a
7.6 out of 10 for being a quite a mediocre game in the core series, but you shouldn't really judge on my opinion on the game, I know there is quite a few people out there that does love X & Y, and I agree with that, a lot of people has their preferred Pokemon game, just like me with Black & White. It wasn't the Gameplay, the Graphics, the Sound/Music, the Depths, and the Difficulty that was bad, I felt like they were a whole lot better than some of the previous Pokemon entries, but it was both the Storyline and the Addiction Level that completely killed this game, and why I only gave it a 7.8 out of 10.

Explore the newly region, Kalos :3!!   greenluigi
Yo guys!! This time, I'm gonna review a Pokemon game that has been released last year,  Pokemon X and Y. This review is based on Pokemon Y version, but you can say it's my opinion on Gen VI. Off we go to the review :)!!
Difficulty: As I said to my previous review, Mario and Luigi BIS, newer games are becoming really easy to beat. Well guess what? This game is really easy and almost nothing serious to worry about. You get exp really easier, Mega Evolution is introduced so you can be invincible with that, I think Vine Whip's Power has been increased if I'm right. Every Pokemon game has similar controls. Well you can use the Stylus and that's fun!! Every gym are so easy. I chose Fenekin, who is right now a powerful Delphox at Level 96. How it go so far? It's not that I got the game last year, it's just easier to level up. Plus, the EXP share gives EXP to EVERY Pokemon in your team. Yeah, that's awesome lol. So this is how my Pokemon team are overpowered. Because of that, I always won against my friend in WIFI battles. Even though he used legendaries such as Arceus, Landorus, Thundurus, Kyurem, Mewtwo... I beat the game in one week. It wasn't difficult AT ALL!!! Lysandre is one of the easiest opponent I've ever faced. I find him easier than other gyms. Comparing it from previous games, my Quilava from SoulSilver finally evolved after the 8th gym. Yeah, it took serious training to beat Clair. I had Lapras so I crushed Dragon Pokemon in my way. I am right now in Kanto so I'm taking a small break from that game. In Pokemon Emerald and its hacks (Rebirth for example), you also need serious training. Brawly, as the second gym leader, you'll find him harder than other gyms. He's harder than Wattson and Flannery. I remember having a Marshtomp at that time. He kept using Bulk Up which was really really annoying :'(. In Pokemon X and Y, almost every Gym is easy. You know why what's the most common flaw in newer games? For example, in Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal, you journey with your Pokemon of course and faces lots of hard challenges. In their remakes, HeartGold and SoulSilver, they introduced newer moves, items and Pokemon etc... you get my point? If you don't, I'll refresh ya a bit. Since Pokemon X and Y are Gen VI, newer items, moves and Pokemon were introduced. That marks that when your Pokemon is equipped with an item, you can get powerful in no time. Okay, Gen VI isn't difficult at all to beat. This score is a 3 for me. Now I wrote a lot for a category, on to the next one.
Story: Like other Pokemon games, they all share similar story lines. However, there is a slight change in the beginning of this GEN. You start off with your starter of course as usual. But when you beat the first gym and arrived in Lumiose City, you can actually receive another starter!! Yeah AWESOME YAY :3!! XD. Anyway after the second starter, you journey normally as usual. I'm started to get bothered when new Pokemon games comes out, there is similar story line. An evil team wants to conquer the region. Steals Pokemon. Those teams are selfish and it's up to you to stop them. This is the same thing in every other Pokemon games. Can they change for once? Note: I'm focusing on the main games. Not PokePark, no Mystery Dungeon, no Conquest. I am focusing on the main game series. Oh and the story line includes some mysteries of Mega Evolution. It isn't that WAW to me. When it was first revealed, fans were going crazy about that ;P. I'm not trying to offend on those who like the game, I'm just saying my opinion and see the reasons why. That's all. I hope in future games such as GEN VII per example, a major change happens to the story. Or they can just do some changes. Nintendo should really do that. I don't want fans to get disappointed for that, just for once. For example, you start as a young trainer abandoned in the street. Yeah that's sad :(. And a Pokemon Professor picks you up and started to take care of you. Few years later, the professor is on a big project to complete the Pokedex. However, all of his assistant failed to find the rarest Pokemon of all time, Mew. The young trainer decided to help his 'father' or 'mother'. However, a team of bad people are chasing after it. So their are mostly your rivals. Now do you see what I mean? This is a different Pokemon story that should be like that. Sorry Pokemon Y, you could have changed the story line for once. It's a 4. But hey, yours isn't the worse either.
Graphics: Ahh new games, they share better graphics and makes the games easier. This game shares 3D graphics on a Pokemon adventure. These ones are amazing. It also remembers me of walking my Pokemon in HG SS. Why? Well Pokemon X and Y introduced 2 awesome new features, Pokemon Amie and Super Training. Pokemon Amie is playing with your partner. Feeding it, playing minigames. U can also copy it's expressions with your 3DS camera!! But I'm not good at it sadly :P. Oh and I forgot to mention a reason why this game is so easy. If you reached 4 hears in Pokemon Amie, your Pokemon in battle can sometimes dodge your foe's attack just because it's loves you and a pink heart pops out. But hey, Pokemon Amie did a little hand for me as I continued my journey further until I beat the Pokemon League. This featured can lead you a help, so be sure to try it! I didn't even know it was unlocked automatically at the beginning of the game lol. Oh and this mini game shows your Pokemon in 3D of course. It will be cooler if it was a shiny :3. Use the Stylus to pet it, feed it too. Next, Super Training. It didn't lend me a hand as much as Pokemon Amie. This feature is basically to increase your stats. Yeah, it can be totally awesome. You shoot some Pokemon but they're
balloons. That's a bit of challenge, but I don't use this mode often. Now for the battle style. Ahh I really got excited for this game mainly for its graphics. Yeah, what the hell was wrong with me back there XD? Moves becomes totally cool with 3D, especially Brave Bird... Pokemon are finally seen in 3D. Finally Nintendo made a change to a Pokemon game into 3D. It could have been HD. Haha, just kidding :P. By comparing it from BW and BW2, those previews games contain awesome graphics too. They share Pokemon in battles as they were moving. In 3D mode, you can see the awesome moves that appears. Also, you can see the characters in games in 3D. Ohh for Mega Evolution when you see it :3!!! Now Graphics is a 10. Like I said, games shares awesome graphics and some fans doesn't even realize how easy these games are those days :P.
Addictiveness: I still play that game. It's not bad, however it contains flaws. Now why I still play it even though this game wasn't a challenge? That's a good question for you to ask me. This is my answer: I play this game more often because first of all, my interest went back on Pokemon few months ago. I also definitely enjoy Pokemon Amie. It's fun playing with your Pokemon and they become very sensitive toward you, don't U think? I also enjoy the Player Search System. Oops, I forgot to talk about that feature. It is similar to the GS whatever thing in Pokemon Black and White and its sequel. Except they added new things of course :P. Nah. The most thing I use in it is GTS. I love it. I got many Pokemon that I wanted, such as Starmie (As I can't catch a wild Staryu in Y. You can in X.) Articuno, and I also got a Uxie!! That was really cool when I got that legendary Pokemon. I also use the PSS for Wonder Trade. I heard that it became dangerous, but it didn't affect me yet lol. I rarely use it and I get lame Pokemon. I also use it when people want to trade with me online. Ahh, I remember trading with MMX :). It was so fun!! I don't know if it was him who gave me the Uxie. But right now he lost his 3DS charger :(. Any users on Vizzed can trade with me. But don't Game chat me, wanna know why? Because my voice will sound so squeaky to you :P. Well it's your choice of course. This game may be addicting like I said, but it shares flaws. Every game has its unique flaws and I respect that. I guessed I talked about it enough and let's move on in.... the Depths!! Oh and the score on it is a 9.
Depths: Every Pokemon game are quite long. You get per example your 6th badge and suddenly an evil team arrives and bothers you. U must deal with those guys and beat them with your Pokemon. Evil teams says that they are slaves. They aren't tools, they are partners XD!! Anyway let's compare this game to previous ones. Depths are long based on the story line. Oh and did I mentioned that training can also cause the depths longer? Yeah, it's similar to my BIS review. You need to train hard in order to move in the next stage. Increase your stats and show your enemies that you're strong!! Like Doc Louis said from the Punch Out series, if an opponent knocks you down, it doesn't matter. You must stand back up and keep fighting and never give up!! I like this quote :). Pokemon Y sure takes time to beat. Oh and very easy games, especially the new ones are easy to beat, but it takes time to accomplish it. Let's say all the gyms were pretty weak and your rivals challenge you sometimes. Like I said in my previous reviews, you always gotta be ready because at any time something in the storyline may happen. Train hard and never give up.  If you beat the game, what's gonna be your goal? My goal? Is to complete the Pokedex and find some shinies!! I keep playing it. Never give up at any target and if there is something you gotta do it then do it. The score is a 10. Training makes the game longer to beat
Sound: Pokemon X and Y doesn't share the best soundtrack either. Its themes are not bad. But for the final boss (Champion of course), the theme sucks.  In previous games, such as BW and its sequel, the champion theme is at least better. Ahh I noticed newer games makes better graphics, easier but the themes gets worse :(!! Nintendo can make better than that. I got disappointed at the soundtrack of this game. I guess it's not 'my style' :P. In Pokemon HG SS, gym leaders, champion and almost every thing was cool!! It was made in 2010, for the DS and really challenging!! Also shares good graphics.  This is what I call a video game. It has to be at least challenging. It it's challenging, makes the game more fun. So this is a 9.
Overall: I enjoyed writing my first Pokemon review!! Like I said, I'm not trying to offend big fans of GEN VI. This is just my opinion. And if you have a problem with that, it's yours not mine. Now time for some summons!!
juuldude : yay :3

Mega Mewtwo X : TARATULAS ALL RIGHT!!!
Eniitan : My Pokemon review!! Oh and I apologize if I forgot any. My Overally score to this game is an eight. It's not bad but the previous ones were better. Now see you guys in my next review :)!!
sonicthehedgehog57: Forgot to the summon the review master, sorry :P.
Razor-987: I know that you're gonna leave Vizzed for a while but I remember that you mention you will be here for a few moments. If you were here, be sure to check this review since you love Pokemon :D!!
TornadoMudkip: You love Pokemon too so I guess you can read my opinion on Gen VI :3.

Pokemon Y Review   austipokedude
In the year 2013 the Earth was astonished but was also repulsive. This was the year Pokemon would set out to make a all new adventure to go along with an all new look and overall Pokemon experience. Of course some disliked this idea and became what is known as a hater on the Internet and would start a petition. Of course this wouldn't work because Nintendo would then make a remake of Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Ruby with a all new revamped look that was introduced in Pokemon Y. With all seriousness lets start this review with haste!
Graphics:
Pokemon Y was the first Pokemon game to feature 3D sprites in the entire Pokemon series which would change the gameplay entirely. Of course a majority of the former fans of the Pokemon series still dislike this game because of this. Pokemon Y is also the first Pokemon game where you could buy clothes or accessories for your character to wear. What is next Nintendo? Will we be able to dress our Pokemon up in costumes? I guess we will have to wait and see! Overall Pokemon Y may have done something new for once to the entire series it still doesn't change the fact its graphics are still behind several other RPGs on the console.
Sounds:
As you would've guessed if Pokemon was gonna take a big step it might as well produce a great soundtrack in order to go along with the whole new revamped Pokemon style and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Some nostalgic songs were in this game such as the title screen which makes you eagerly want to play the game or the intense battle music in the game. Of course this game also features Pokemon cries in the game which have never sounded so good before. Overall Pokemon Y's sound is still great because the songs go along with each scenario in the game to make the game even more satisfying.
Addictiveness:
Although Pokemon Y introduces a new region with new Pokemon it brought back some other Pokemon like Pikachu for example to make sure this time you can catch them all. With that in mind this game is basically so addicting you will find it irresistible to stop playing because you will be so caught up in catching, battling, and training Pokemon in the game. There's more to this game than the main story that's included with the game. Will you catch them all?
Story:
It really is just another thwart the antagonist plot really which is the exact same as the previous games and seeing that it went basically nowhere with the exception of adding new goons that go by the name of team Flare that basically pretty much sums up the plot entirely which must I admit is far less exciting than saving a Princess. So overall I guess Pokemon Y's story follows the exact plot formula that former Pokemon games followed which was really disappointing. Fortunately a common theme occurs throughout the series and that's to become the best Pokemon trainer which slightly adds to the storyline's appeal.
Depth:
Pokemon Y has a whole new region just for you to explore and while at it you can train, battle, or catch Pokemon. There's also gym leaders that you can challenge and additionally there's a main story to go along with a post game story which will seem familiar at first to keep you busy. Pokemon Y also introduces Mega Evolutions which is basically a final evolution however only so many Pokemon can Mega Evolve and they must have a certain item equipped beforehand. Competitive play through Nintendo's online services is also very addicting as well and I never had any problems disconnecting during battles which made it so much more exciting.
Difficulty:
This varies of course because of how much you prepare for a battle and the knowledge of Pokemon in general. People new to the series are going to have a harder time playing this game compared to someone who has been playing Pokemon games all their life that's just how it is so I'm going to have to rate this as a unfairly balanced game.
Now here are the final results
Graphics: 9
Sound: 10
Addictiveness: 10
Story: 6
Depth: 10
Difficulty: 6
Overall: 9.0
Overall Pokemon Y does a nice job delivering a all new breathtaking Pokemon experience that goes along with a nostalgic soundtrack that will be sure to keep you satisfied. The game also keeps you busy as you explore Kalos and find out the mystery behind Mega evolutions. Not only that but Pokemon Y does a great job of unfairly balancing competitive online battles which have certainly improved since they were first introduced in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS. Honestly I preferred the post game story over the main game story because I saw a familiar face. In the end Pokemon Y is for people new to the Pokemon series or for people that haven't played a Pokemon game since Pokemon Red or Blue no matter the case I assure you this game will give you a all new Pokemon experience that you won't even be able to recognize. Thanks to this Pokemon Y deserves the title as successor to Pokemon generations 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
So thanks for taking the time to read my review I hoped you enjoyed it as much as you will enjoy this game and provide me feedback that I would appreciate as long as you don't mind.
Have a great day!
