Madden NFL 25 Review by: tgags123 - 8/10
Madden 25Hello Vizzed and welcome to tgags123's Madden NFL 25 review! I recently got this game for my PS3, and although I like the game, I am pretty disappointed with it. That may not make any sense, but I will explain. Let's get this review started!
Gameplay:
If this were a category, I would give it a 10. The game is a lot of fun to play, and is very similar to actual (American) football. It has every aspect of a real life football game, including penalties, a variety of different types of plays, challenges, player tendencies based on the players real life tendencies, etc. It is a fun game to play both by yourself or with a friend of family member.
Graphics:
The graphics in this game are absolutely amazing. These graphics are some of the best I have ever seen, just below MLB The Show. The players look just like they actually do. Even the coaches are extremely detailed and life like. There is not a single complaint I have about the graphics in this game. It looks just like an actual football game. Actually, when I played it in front of my grandpa, he thought it was a real game, not a video game. The graphics are very very good in Madden 25.
Sound:
The sound is clear, and the announcers have a decent variety of things that they say. One thing I hate is when the announcers are repetitive. They are less repetitive in Madden 25 than they are in NHL games, but, once again, MLB The Show is better. There really is no music soundtrack like there is in a lot of sports games, it is really just the same song over and over again, which can get pretty annoying. There are some other complaints I have with the sound, but these are probably only annoying to me. There is a line that one of the announcers says about being a hero. Except when he says hero, he says it like "heeerow" and it really bugs me. This next complaint is probably just me too. There is a girl that they go to sometimes in between quarters that goes down and interviews a player, then reports back on what the player said. I have to turn the volume off whenever she comes on. Her voice is insanely annoying.
Addictiveness:
I don't know if I would call this game addicting, but I do like to play it somewhat often. It is not one of those games where you play for hours at a time because you just can't put it down, it is more of a game that you play when you are bored. I am likely to play it again, so I decided to rate it an 8. I think that you will want to play this game a few times once you try it, but I doubt that you will get "hooked" on it.
Story:
There is no story. It is football.
Depth:
This is where this game really lacks. The depth. I remember in previous Madden games there were modes such as season mode and franchise mode, and features such as create a team. They have removed all 3 of those things, as well as some other things. Season and franchise mode were my favorite 2 game modes. You could take a team through a season and manage the team as well as play the games. I also liked that you could do a fantasy draft, because I like having a mixed team. That leads me to my next point. Now you can't have a customized team in season or franchise mode, but they also removed create a team. On top of that, they added salary caps so you can't even edit the team rosters so that you have a team full of players that you want. It is like they are trying to prevent you from creating an all-star team. The only game modes that they have now are Madden Ultimate Team, which is hard to be good at unless you spend money, play now, practice, connected franchise, EA sports moments, and a variety of different ways to play online against other people. There really isn't a lot of variation and stuff that you can do anymore.
Difficulty:
Playing the game itself is not difficult at all. The controls are simple and the computer controlled opponents are pretty easy to beat. It is,m however, very difficult to figure out Madden Ultimate Team (The main game mod in Madden 25), and also very difficult to make a good Madden 25 team. Madden Ultimate Team is a lot different and more complicated than FIFA Ultimate Team and Hockey Ultimate Team. Why EA would make Madden different I have no idea, but they did. It is pretty hard to figure it out. I haven't even really figured it out yet. It is also very hard to build a good team without spending any money.
While Madden NFL 25 is a fun game to play, EA really needs to improve on some things. They need to add season mode back, make Madden Ultimate Team a little easier to figure out, and (please EA!) find some one to
replace that interview woman. Overall it is a good game, and I recommend buying it.
That concludes this review, I hope you enjoyed it. Please let me know what you thought of the review, and be honest. Please do not reply to this review if you did not read the whole thing. This review is not a place for spam. Thank you for reading it!
