Kirby Air Ride Review   tgags123
Kirby Air Ride was one of my favorite games as a kid. I played it pretty often with my brother. It is a fun game. It is similar to Mario Kart, in the way that it gives racing a twist. It is a game that I have always enjoyed, so that is why I am writing a review for it.
Graphics (8):
The graphics in Kirby Air Ride are really nothing special. They are not bad, but they don't exactly stand out. They are the same style as most Kirby games, which is a good thing. It gives the game that distinct Kirby feel. The courses that you race on are well detailed. You can tell that there was a lot of effort put into making everything look nice. The characters are well detailed too, both the racers and the enemies. Overall the graphics are pretty good, but they are not anything special. They are exactly what you would expect from a Kirby Game Cube game.
Sound (8):
Similar to the graphics, the sound doesn't really stand out to me. I mean I like the music, I think it is really fitting. The music is really catchy too. I have gotten some of the songs stuck in my head from time to time. I think the sound effects are nice too. I especially like the sound that it makes when Kirby looses a power. Everything sounds nice in the game, but they are not as good as some other games out there. Overall, the sound is pretty good, the music is nice, and the effects are cute, but they are not exceptional.
Addictiveness (9):
Will you want to play this game more than once? Absolutely. Will you be glued to the TV? Most likely not. While it is a very fun game to play, it does lack a little as far as addictiveness goes. Sure it is a game that you will want to play a lot, but since you are just racing and there is really nothing that you need to play a lot to accomplish, there is nothing that is keeping you playing. It is more of just a casual fun game that you can play in your spare time, not exactly your definition of addictive. It definitely does have some addictive qualities to it though, and that is why I rated it a 9. While it isn't obvious that you are addicted to the game, you may start to realize that you often have an urge to turn on your Game Cube and play it.
Story (N/A):
There is really no story in Kirby Air Ride, and that sucks for me. It means I have to write a lot more in the other categories to make my review look longer. Seriously though, the game does not really have a story, nor would I expect it to. It is really a good thing that it doesn't gave a story. I feel like the game would not be as enjoyable if they tried to have some kind of plot to it.
Depth (8):
Since it is a racing game, and the outcome of the races are different every time, this game technically has unlimited depth. The same thing over and over again gets boring after a while, though. Which is why it is a good thing that there are three different game modes. These game modes are Air Ride, Top Ride, and City Trial. In Air Ride, you choose your character and vehicle and you race against other players or computer controlled players. In Top Ride, the camera is angled above your character, from a bird's eye view. In both Air Ride and Top Ride, you can either race against opponents, against time, or against your own best time. In City Trial, you are given time to travel around a city. You have to try to collect patches. There are also a lot of events that take place in City Trial. There are also 9 different courses that you can race on, so that gives you a lot of variety. I decided to give it an 8 in the depth category because while it is a racing game that technically has unlimited depth, there are not a lot of different game modes to choose from and it can get boring after a while.
Difficulty (7):
Kirby Air Ride can be difficult. It is harder than Mario Kart, or similar racing games. It can be hard to steer some of the vehicles, and the enemies make it difficult as well. It is definitely not the hardest game out there, though. It really depends. Kirby Air Ride is different than a lot of games. Either you are good at it or you aren't. Some people find Kirby Air Ride to be a really easy game, while others say that it is challenging. I personally do not think that it is too hard, but I do think that the steering is difficult and the controls are a little confusing at first. You will be able to get used to the controls though, so don't worry about that. I rated it a 7 because I figured that is a pretty neutral rating. It is appropriate for Kirby Air Ride because it is kind of in the middle.
In short, Kirby Air Ride is a fun game. The graphics are good, but nothing special. You can tell that a lot of attention was paid to the smallest details, however. The sound is pretty good, but like the graphics, nothing that really stands out. The music is catchy and fitting for the game. Kirby Air Ride does have some addictive qualities, but it is not too addictive. There is no story in Kirby Air Ride, but I think that is a good thing. There is a decent amount of things to do in this game, but it is somewhat repetitive and dies get boring after a while. It is not too hard of a game, but it is a little difficult to steer. I recommend buying it if you see it at the store.
That's my review! I hope you liked it! If you did, please be sure to go to the game page and rate it! Thanks for reading!

Kirby Air Ride Review By Barathemos
Today I will be reviewing a personal favorite game of mine, Kirby Air Ride. Now, I really do like this game so be prepared for some praise! I have decided to start writing these reviews to get my job started again and to help people with finding good games to play! This one will be on a game that I have loved for my whole life and i am hoping that this review will get you to play the game! If you haven't read my review on Tournament of Legends, you can go here to read it before or after this one to compare what I have said and the way that i am speaking. By the way, this is a game that I love and Tournament of Legends is one that I don't really like all that much. At the bottom of the review you will see the link. I will go ahead and say that you will see many differences between both of the reviews.
Overall: 9.4
I must say that this game is a really great one. The thing that I love most about this game comes in the free mode. As a gamer, I love all sandbox games and I love the ones with a huge sandbox more! Now, this game has a large city with an underground section and flying that makes it a really big place. What makes it so big is all the different cars ( Stars ) that you can use in this game to travel the city. Many things about the city are awesome and these are just some of them. Next thing that I love is the PvP battles. What I mean by Battles is the racing against other players on lots of different tracks. You can play with one other player or with many. You can also go up against the CPU, which can be either easy or hard depending on how much handicap you give them and how much of it you give yourself. When you give them many and you don't get much then it will be really hard to win unless you are really good. But if you have a huge handicap for you and you don't give them any then it switches and you get the advantage, which makes it really easy. Next thing is the top run. All this is are some short tracks that you race from a bird's eye view. These can be fun when racing with a fair handicap and not so fun when one gets more then the other. Overall these 3 settings make up most of the game, but there are some others that I won't get into in this review. I have gotten into enough out of those sections here and I don't won't to spoil the rest of the review so I will not go on. Now, many different sections make up this game and I will get into them later in this review, but for now this is it.
Graphics: 9
They are quite good. What you see in this game is really great. You will see a lot of smooth animations and some really great 2D graphics that make it look 3D. Now keep in mind that this game is for the gamecube, not for the Wii or Playstation 3. Now, what you see in this game is nothing even close to what you will see out of those systems, but when I got this game years ago, it was a really great one. The colors in this game are really great. There are lots of light and dark colors that make the game look great. When you have to many light colors then the game doesn't look very good. This is the same with dark colors. I mean, who wants to see a game with a bunch of blinding colors or a game where you can't see what is happening? Now, this game has really smooth buildings and everything else in the game. When looking at the top runner game play, I must say they seemed to take a good amount of time to do that part of the game because of how much detail they put into it. I am not saying that the rest of the game didn't have a whole lot of effort because I would be so wrong saying that. The rest of the game are made really well, that is why I am giving this a 9. It is just wonderful all around.
Sound: 10
Yeah, the sound is awesome. You have the sound from a whole lot of different instruments combined into one nice song! The sound track in this game is really great compared to lots of other games. The sound moves around with great theme and it flows with the right beats! As a person who is really into music, you should know that a good rating in this section really means that it is great! The sounds for the title screens are also good along with the music for the real game play. You have to look up a couple of themes on Youtube, I would tell you to look up the City theme. Some of the themes are also on the Kirby 20 year CD with the same music on it.It is the kind of sound that I can turn it on and come check Vizzed to see what is going on and listen to it in the background, it is just that kind of music. Now, when I get to the game I can't help but sit in front of my TV and listen to the music while playing the game. The smooth melodies go great with the bass. I love it all in this game and I will say that the sound is part of it that I love above all the rest. When you listen to the music, it should really make you calm. The music is not too loud and it has soft sounds that make you just feel good! If the sound for the game were to not be at the point where they are, then the game would not have gotten such a high rating from me.
Addictiveness: 5
Yeah, the game can be quite addicting at times. I have recorded my time for the longest time that I have played it in one sitting ( Because it tells you ) and it came out to be 87 minutes and 42 seconds. It was one of the first times I had ever played the game, and I have done around the one hour mark lots of? times. Now, i have also played the game for only 5 minutes, which is my all time low. That is when I was really bored and before I signed up for Vizzed so I had nothing to do. I didn't really want to play it for very long so I decided not to. But, I have gotten my average time and it came out to about 48 minutes, which is quite good. This means that I spend about an hour playing this game at a time! And saying that I have played the game a whole lot, just try to think of how much time I have spent playing the game! That is just how great the game is! I have played all modes with my brother countless times and I have done a whole lot, I love beating him in everything! I am a really good player at the game. I think that overall, if you are a big or just a small fan of racing, you will love this game a lot! It is not that expensive, I got a new copy for only $15 before it was stopped being produced. You should think about it!
Story: N/A
This is my favorite section! Can you guess why? It is because there is not a story! Mostly. There is kind of a story with the city trial mode. This is a short, 5 minute, section where you get as many power ups that you can so you can win the races and other kind of thing at the end of that 5 minute time period. Now, there are some monsters and other things that happen to the city to cause madness in the city to prevent or help you get more power ups. I don't really know if this counts as a story but it is the closest that you are going to get to a story in this game. Although there is not a story, it is still really fun to play. On the free mode in city trial, you can make up your own story and have fun doing this! ( You will need some imagination with this one ) You might think that a game without a story is not that good, which is normally true, but it is completely wrong for this game. Just try random playing! You will just need to go with the flow and you will find it great!
Depth: 8
This game does have a whole lot of depth. You see, you will get to play a whole lot of modes including the city trial free run and normal mode, the Top Run witch comes in practice, CPU, or PvP. You also get the normal race mode witch is a nice and multi race section that included lots of sections. You will get to play a bunch of modes in this game which help the name not be boring. What you will find is that when you don't want to play one mode, you will find another that seems fun to you at that time so you will go playing that mode. What you will love is that you can spend a big chuck of time trying to get achievements or you can just spend a short amount of time trying to get just a small little thing. Just a little side note, you will want to unlock Metaknight, why? because he is awesome! he can fly around really well even when you are not doing city! There is a whole lot of fun things that you can do even when you have just gotten the game and I have just said what is great to do! You can play for a very long time without being bored and it is really worth it.
Difficulty: 3
So, I have said it once and I will say it again ( Just this time with a lot more detail ) This game can be hard or easy, and also all the way in between. There are ways to make it hard such as taking off handicaps for you and adding all of them to the CPU so you are not going to be at such an advantage. That is a way of making it a lot harder, there is also a very simple way to make it really easy. That way is to set all handicaps to your side and not give any to the CPU. I don't do this because I am a player who wants a good challenge so I set them both fully off so neither of us are at the advantage. I want it to be fair so that I can tell you all right now that I am a skilled player at the game. It has taken me a few years to get here ( Or just a few months ) But I am one of the best players of this game. I have gone to some tournaments that play this game. ( Not officially, but arranged by us players ) I would say that if you are just starting the game, set the cap all the way for you and then slowly go over and over until it is even. Or, if you really want to prove that you are good then you can change it so that you get none of the cap and give it all to the CPU. This will show that you are a real player, I do this sometimes and I do really well! I think it is the best way that you can get to your true potential, and that is what i have done!
Wrap Up:
This is the game that i have wanted to make a proper review for for a really long time, I just never had the time to make it and i also didn't have the time to play the game and write this review while going back over some of the basics for this review. I must say that this is a game that you should really play and that I would want to know how many people own this game. It is a fairly unpopular game that I think is way under rated so I decided to bring it to your attention of what the game is and the good and very few bad parts of the game. If you have the game, try to tell me what I said correctly about the game and what I said that was wrong about the game. Below is a pro and con section that is new to my reviews so please give me good feedback on that section!
------------------------------------------
Pros:
Active Gameplay with not many long cut senses
Great Graphics and Sound
Lots of Effort Put into the Game
Very Addicting
------------------------------------------
Cons:
No story
Sometimes Not Very Addicting ( Only if you just aren't feeling in the mood to play the game, if you are then this will not count )
I hope you enjoyed reading this review on one of my favorite games, Kirby Air Ride. I hope I inspired you to get the game or at least look up some information about the game! IF you have any feedback you would like to submit, just post it below and I will gladly take it into consideration. This took me a really long time to type up so I really do hope that you liked it! Thanks for reading my review and have a great day!
Here is the link I told you about in the beginning of my review. Remember to tell me how you see differences between the 2 reviews!

"Ain't no karting with a plumber, but fun with a puffball"   sonicthehedgeho..
    *Dashes off on Warpstar* Hehe, what's taking you so long to catch up friends? It's just a little slope and turns :P if you don't hurry up the opponent is going to catch the ranks. !! Oh hello viewers again it's been a while hasn't it? *Drops Altitude and speed* Nice to see you again, sorry about not noticing you until now it's just I was having a nice race with a few friends of mine here in Dreamland since not much has changed or happened recently. We've just been training up to use the warpstars and other means of transportation as of means of fun to us in drag races and other activities as ever since my last adventure things have gotten quite boring around here and sadly it's not that time of year for a "smashing" event so I'm stuck here in this land with my friends. If you want, you all can join us on this trip and experience the same amount of fun we'll be having on this journey we have plenty of vehicles left for you all....!! oh shoot I wasn't paying attention I dropped alot of pace and now I'm almost in last place *sucks in Knight and turns into Knight Hedgehog* I'll use this to help get ahead and I've gotta get going but I'll see you in a few minutes as I end this race and we begin this review, see you then! *Burst off forward slashing sword*
    ~ 2 different perspectives based on gameplay, both great with detail! ~
     -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    This will be an interesting part to discuss with you all since this isn't just a simple 3-D racing game like you would expect however; it's also not a basic 2-D style either. If I really had to compare it I'd say try mixing F-Zero with a normal side-scroller and you'd have one part of this game and the other part matched to a tee, which I'll describe in greater detail in a split section throughout this review, but enough bantering aside, let's talk about the graphics and design of the game now.
     ~ Level Design for 2 different styles ~
     ---------------------------------------------
      ~ Air Ride ~
     ~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is the 3-D section of this game in which it's a basic racing level with winding paths and turns, similar to F-Zero or Mario Kart 64. The levels are beautifully crafted each having a nice nature and cryptic feeling behind them, from Beanstalk Park of it's luscious greenlands and plant made transportation's/warps, to the hot filled craters of Magma Flows with temperatures breaking points of insanity.
      >>> Top Ride <<<
      ------------------------
    Now this is where the style takes a side-swipe and makes a bold and interesting move making a top-down racing style game for this style you should picture games like Bomberman or Star Soldier where mostly you're looking down at the characters and only seeing for the most part a big square of the main area. The levels themselves are very interesting and appealing to the eyes, though more so basic because of the camera/look style this option the game uses, for example compared to the above segment a forest like area in this mode won't look as great as before since this is more of a simplistic looking mode thus forth the trees and surrounding environments will look more so flat (similar to an N64 Mario Party Board) So this mode I guess would tone the games level of graphics down a bit.
    So looking at all the "different" viewpoints of the game I'd say the graphics would earn a 8 out of 10 for creative style on a cartoonish based game but a lose of a couple points due to simplistic looking areas for one mode.
    ~ Sound that intrigues, but doesn't really compare to others ~
     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Ok I'm going to be brutally honest here the sound in this game, at some points it can be either really basic where you don't want to hear it, basic to where you can deal with it, or enjoyable where you just want to hear it alot. Does this games music feel lower quality when compared to games like Mario Party 4 and or Pac-Man World 2? Yes it does, however! This games music is far from the absolute worst you could hear on the system so while it doesn't seem to have much to offer I'm sure you'll at least smile hearing one track from the game so don't shoot yourself down so quickly about the sound just yet. *see's ? over heads* ..hehe guess I confused you a little bit ^^ well I'll show you proof as to what I mean in the following paragraphs so sit back and relax.
    Let's start of with the first and main course attraction this games shows: Air Ride Mode which I've described in the previous section how this mode works so from a game type thing like this you can expect really dashing and beat-style music which..yes you would be correct especially considering this is a Kirby game however; it doesn't live up on several stages. What I mean by that is they start off strong at the beginning but then it just goes to a standard pitch and it's not as upbeat as you'd expect.
    ~*Air Ride*~/ - My favorite for would have to really only be between: Fantasy Meadows or Nebula Belt, with the forest theme having a real upbeat and strong theme all the way through almost as if you just want to burst past the leaves and rising grass in an instant! Slashing anything coming your way....while on the other hand Nebula Belt is more so like Mario Kart's: Rainbow Road tracks with a more peaceful and ambient tone.
    << Top Ride >> ~ This mode sadly only has 1 songs I really love and 2 songs that I'm okay with but would rather hear something else: First being Light course which is my favorite for looks and sound in this mode since it puts you in a techno beat symphony flying around an electronic style land, gives you that upbeat/nice feeling inside like you're just floating in peace and tranquility.
    {City Trial} ~ Probably the mode that has my favorite music in it from within Stage Events and Stadium's music once you complete the main field, usually you'll start with a nice mellow tone which burst up every so often and gets faster when the clock goes to 1min like you would expect in other games made/on other Nintendo Systems. My favorite songs for the city/stadium event  would have to be: Mystery Dyna Blade Appears & Drag Race Theme, the prior sounding like something you'd hear in a battle between forces in Legend of Zelda or some typical anime meanwhile; having the latter sound tough and adventurous almost like you're heading towards a great danger with no fear inside. So all in all I'd say the sound deserves a fair but below average 6 out of 10 for the sound!
     Puffball of Pink, Machines of destruction and flight, Hours of fun and might!
   `~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~'
    From what we're seeing on the sound and graphics, it doesn't seem like this game is going to be that much fun to play right? *sucks up user and spits out* (Prodigy Ability Gained) *readjusts monocle* hehehe...that's what everyone is quick to think isn't it? Sadly we reach too far and jump to conclusion and don't realize that even though the sound and looks do contribute alot to the game, it falls deeply out of line with the major point that this game drive so far out of the ball park with the best home-run in the series of the red plumber striking series of mushrooms. The gameplay is spectacular and interesting in so many ways, which I'll talk about why I find to game to be addictive even with the lack of great sounds and looks.
      Air Ride:
   ~~~~~~~~
    The main attraction to this game the 3-D racing mode in which you take certain Air Riding vehicles with you around beautifully crafted levels, and whether you're alone riding around this level trying to find and enjoy all the sites to see or playing with 3 friends and having a good time and bashing them out of the competition. This is surely one mode that won't disappoint if you're a fan of other racing games made out by Nintendo similar to Mario Kart 64 and F-Zero then enjoy this "ride" as it'll be a fun one for ya!
 << Top Ride >>
    This is a very interesting and unique style game to play however the controls can be a little strange to control at first, but once you get used to it it's actually a pretty nice and quick game to play if you just want a fast pop in and play scenario. The looks of the game are hard to describe as I said before having a Paper Mario~Esque  feel to it though the graphics may not be the best for this mode nor is it the best mode to play in my opinion it's still fun to ride around and picking up items (found only in this mode) against your friends and computers, whether it's eating a Cake (filled with Mega Shrooms I guess) to grow into a giant and crush your foes or laying a hidden bomb in the ground. This will be a nice little blast to play here and there!
   {City Trial}
    Ok without any doubt this is MY FAVORITE mode in this entire game, what makes it so addictive at least for me? Well it's because if you like the normal air ride features but kind of want a little more in terms of gameplay features ohhh I'm sure you'll fall for this mode just as the pink puffball falls for his delectable food in games. Basically you roam around the city on a Compact Star and drives around searching for a better ship/cruiser to ride around in while collecting power-ups to your machine in order to help it participate better in city events and the stadium course you'll play at the end. There are all sorts of events that can happen between having the Dyna Blade appear to Meteor's striking the land and even the items/item boxes bouncing in the air. Such a fun mode if you want more out of the game.
    *Sucks in air* Phew that was hard to say all at once, but after that long explanation I think it's highly fair for me personally to rate this game with an addictiveness of a 9 out of 10, really great but not perfect ;) .
    Story: N/A ~ There really is NO story for this game but tis' a racing game so can you really expect much anyway or does it really need one...I mean truly? I mean you could always make up a story like: One day Kirby was with his 5 different colored versions of himself, they all got into an argument between which one of them was the better Kirby of them all so they decided whomever was the best at racing, stadium events, and attacking each other. Would be crowned the best Kirby of them all! But sadly there is no story so I can't say much here.
     Three Different Mode, Lots of secrets, and days worth of playing
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    As you've seen many times this isn't a simple one mode game so it already has more than the basic driving game you could play & even if you negate that effect there areas still more wonders that can be played that makes this game great. For example this game could be called a completionists game since there is a checkbox list that you can fill up by fulfilling certain requirements, which does add both length and replayability hence why I find this game to have yet another reason of addictiveness. I'll list a couple examples on what also makes this game have a high level of depth below:
    >==Stadium Events==<
   ------------------------------
    Now keeping in mind this is only a "City Trial" mode event so don't go into Air Ride or Top Ride and thinking you can do the same thing, anyway basically what will be happening is once you finish a City Trial playthrough you'll be given a random stadium event that you must play through and whether you beat it or not you'll still have it added to your collection. There are about 8 different type of events you can come across a few being: Single Race, Destruction Derby, Air Glider, and Target Flight. Single Race is basically like if you were to do practice mode on Air Ride as you're racing the course alone with one lap (I believe) so really it's more of a relaxation type mode for your hard work during the normal "City" mode, Air Glider equates (no not that cheap brand) to a flight simulator by seeing how far you can glide across a never ending pier while on the other hand Target Flight is still a flight simulator-ish event because you do need good flight abilities in order to get a good score on a big screen board with varying points. The highest being 100 and the lowest on the board being a 10, if you fall down below you're likely to only get 5 or 10 points or on really lucky occasions 30.
    With the final selection being obvious what to expect with the word "destruction" inside it the point is *deep voice* to enter this danger and dangerous world and...fight your friend to the DEATH!!!!....all cinematic acting aside this is probably one of the more "fun" events to get since it's fair and challenging at the same time.
    ~~==Misc. Treats to be found==~~
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - /
   Now before I end this off I'll describe a few things that you can do/find in this game which doesn't fit into the other section, to begin it off I'll describe the hidden machines that you can unlock in this game. These aren't unlocked by completing achievements and it's kind of luck based on whether or not you can find it since the thing you find it in appears randomly and it may not be their right away when you look for it as it could take 3-4 min just to start off, if you're puzzled by what I mean.
   There are basically 2 different machines that can be found in City Trial where you must collect 3 pieces of the ship in order to assemble it together and use it properly, the luck based part comes in because in order to find these "pieces" you must break open RED boxes and ONLY RED boxes as they can't be found in blue or green boxes, however breaking open a red box doesn't mean it's a 100% chance of getting the piece right away though there are some spots where Red boxes can appear and it's a 60% chance that it usually contains a piece so scout out and you can complete the Hyrda a strong and fast machine able to beat a race in about 8 seconds flat when fully charged, the other being resembled to a Phoenix as it can easily take off into the air and glide for many many miles.
    There's much more that you can unlock however I can't give you everything otherwise there's not much fun behind playing the game, so looking at the statistics I'd say a score of 9 out of 10 is decently fair here for the depth factor.
    !|Definitely not as difficult, as driving an actual vehicle|!
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This game to me doesn't really have much difficulty at all since the vehicles 90% of the time are really easy to handle and are very easy to get used to the only thing that can make the game difficult are traps hidden throughout stages in Air Ride, Items used by yourself and foes in Top Ride, and the events and stadium events that you play during the City Trial Mode. However there are a few ways to make the game even more difficult if you are that kind of "sadistic?" player, by adding HP to your ride in Air Ride Mode so that way you mess up to often by falling down pits, getting attack or environmental hazards then you're out of the game completely...you can also add more handicap to the Computer Players and less to yourself in order to make them stronger and yourself weaker thus making it an almost sudden death type cruise.
    I've said that Destruction Derby is fun to play but can also be challenging on itself because you're literally fighting to the death to gain the most points possible by killing your adversaries. As I said you can make the game more difficult so by that standard you can also make this stadium event a nightmare if you so wish by using the same exact tactics, but on it's own the game is fair and not really difficult at all. So customization points aside I'd say the difficulty can only be put to a 4 out of 10.
    So that brings this story to and end, I hope you enjoy this intense travel but the finish line is just ahead of us and I'm about to head to my stadium event so I'll be seeing you guys again in my next adventure! Hope you all had a nice time and see you later!.........*uses 5 boost pads* I've gotta make it I know I've trained well enough....c'mon just a little farther! *glides into post* YES!

It was amazing. Where is the sequel?   TrashBandicoot
I really loved this game. It was pretty much a treasure from the past when I had my Wii. I've been watching a few videos on it lately and it reminded me how much I want this game back! AND HOW ANGRY I AM THAT THERE IS NO SEQUEL OR VIRTUAL CONSOLE OR ANYTHING RELATED TO THE SORT. I even tried the Dolphin Emulator and I didn't know how to work 7zip after reading a guide on exactly how to do so and it messed up the Rom, but I'm getting off track.
Graphics: The game's graphics were good for its time. 3DS-grade, actually. And let me tell you, that is massively impressive for a game of its time. Okay, sure, I'm mainly talking about the NPC, Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight sprites, but that's just it. Honestly, nobody pays attention to the stage design, but even in that category, HAL did an exceptional job. If we get an HD remake of it, NO sprites need to be changed. Just a few tweaks to the stage design, a new disc, an online mode, maybe some new vehicles, and 5 players including the Wii U gamepad, and you have a game that's possibly better than the original. That's how simply amazing the graphics are (for its time).
Sound: Now, the sound for this game was great, not considering the music they used. I didn't exactly like the music in the game, but this isn't just music. This is sound. The sound effects sound... ...realistic? Yeah, realistic. Not too much so, however.
Addictiveness: I stated in the beginning how much I wanted a sequel, remake, virtual console, or other excuse to let me play the FULL game or something better. Read the beginning, this section gets a 11/10.
Depth: This game has tons of unlockables. The challenge checklist adds tons of replayability and there are more than enough ride selections for Air Ride and plenty of City Trial replayability. Sakurai, presumably the game's main developer, even tried something like this in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.
Difficulty: This is more of a family game, it's nothing competitive. It's not too difficult, but I gave it a 4. Why? Because even Youtubers don't know the difference between a normal power up and a "power down."
Overall, MAKE ANOTHER KIRBY AIR RIDE OR A VIRTUAL CONSOLE PLEASE!!!

My Opinion On Kirby's Air-Ride   Poka Mocha
This game was gorgeous on the GameCube. The graphics were like Wii game quality; music was catchy; and controls were spot-on! Like everything though, this video game has its pros and cons. It did not have a story; it did not have enough depth; and it was super easy to play. I like games that are harder to beat. Every time I raced, I always came in 1st or 2nd place. I lost interest in it very quick and easily too. The whole thing felt like another Klonoa game; short and easy. But it is twice as fun, if you get some people to play multi-player. So overall, I find this game enjoyable towards the young audience. Would I buy this game? I would say yes, I would. Even though I lost some interest in it in the past, I kind of miss playing it with my sister. Thank for reading my review on this! Hope this helped you out!
