Famicon Final Fantasy Box Description

Ever wondered how characters from other games might fare on the quest of the LIGHT WARRIORS from Final Fantasy? Well, now you can form a party with Link, Mario, Mega Man, Samus, or several other transplants from odd places like a Holy Diver, Ghostbuster, Gundam, Namekian warrior, or Dodo bird. There are 12 classes to choose from in total, each with unique stats, abilities, equipment, and graphics. Very few enemies have been changed, but a few of the bosses were brought in from other games, to keep a few elements of surprise to the battles.

Famicon Final Fantasy Game Description

Here's what is changed - you can play through Final Fantasy with a party of very odd characters - there are 12 classes to choose from, all of whom are versions of characters from other NES games or from other fiction.

-Mario
-Luigi
-MegaMan
-Samus
-Gundam
-Dodo
-HolyDiver
-Ghostbuster
-KidIcarus
-Namek
-Link
-Chipmonk

They all have new spells, stats, and equipment. If you recognize the characters from anywhere, you should be able to tell what spells they can learn and what items they can equip, for instance a Gundam can equip a Beam Saber and a Zeta Sheild, Mario can learn the Jump spell, and Link is the only character who can equip the Master Sword.

The other big change is that there is no class change, and you can pick any of the 12 classes for your party when starting the game. However, there is a graphics glitch, but don't worry, it only occurs during the character select
screen.

Note that with no class change, the Castle of Ordeals is an optional dungeon.

Other than the changed classes, the game is only altered in very minor ways. Most of the text is changed to humorously have NPCs not recognize the party. A few bosses are radically changed, not only in appearance but their stats and spells as well. Some enemies are changed as well, but not many, and some are only changed in looks, not stats. Medusa and Ghost look quite different, for example.

Very interesting, but if at all possible it might be nice to say what class each character is similar to in the description?
