I'd say my height and my weight.

I'm fairly tall and fairly underweight, but as I have been recovering from an eating disorder I find it incredibly difficult to be able to put on what would be considered a "healthy weight" or a healthier BMI.

I find that any time I end up putting on more weight than what I'm used to seeing (which is unhealthily skinny in all honesty) I see myself as flabby and getting fat. This in turn causes me to fast and then lose any weight I gained.

Kind of a vicious cycle, and logically I know that I'm not fat. But the physical reaction to seeing me put on weight outweighs my logic center I suppose?

Allysa8th : I like the idea of the Switch being in competition with something for the same reason (the lack luster recent development that has been going on for a while). I just didn't think that it would be Valve that I would be seeing that from, even if it was unintentional on Valve's part.

Also while I'm aware of Valve's gaming hardware endeavors, Only a few of those endeavors really impressed me.

Like Valve's VR? There are better alternatives, same with the steam controller that was essentially made for Big Picture mode. The Steam Machine? I can't even remember the last time I heard anything about it.

But I am excited to see how it preforms! And I'll most likely buy one myself for sure. I just try not to let myself get too hyped as I have with their titles/hardware before only to be less blown away than I anticipated.

At the moment, I woke up not long ago. So I'm drinking coffee and browsing at the moment. Hoping for something exciting today, but life has been quite dull lately.

Mostly I've just been planning a move across the country. So that'll be cool. It's just stressful as heck!!!

I saw the announcement of the Steam Deck and the first thing that came to my mind was, "Why is Valve trying to compete with the Switch?"

Don't get me wrong, the idea of a handheld steam client of sorts (better than the nvidia shield was hopefully) sound like an awesome idea! However, I can only think about the problems that can/will arise.

There's a s*** ton of games on steam, but I highly doubt that even a fraction of them will be playable (by launch) on the Steam Deck. Either way, I have hopes for it, but am just overall confused on WHY Valve decided to develop a Steam Switch

I actually recently caved and watched Studio Ghibli's new movie 'Earwig and The Witch'. It was in 3D animation so I was skeptical at first, (since Ghibli has always excelled in 2D animation in the past). But lo and be hold, they blew me out of the water again.

Studio Ghibli never misses. Always hits B)

SonicOlmstead : I would say that's definitely for the better no doubt about it! Your body needs sleep and it seems like the board will be waiting for you when you get up, so no rush on the wakeup either!

I am proud of you

Unequivocally you leave one, such as myself, seldom a choice left to the absolute equivalent of that which leads to nothing.
Further,
I see your provocation and combat it with thus; Must you take up arms against those of which seek inherently nothing of what has yet to be offered? Nay, I thought not.

When one must take upon themselves the burden or lackluster(yet necessary) inhibitions of another in order to allow ourselves to insert the layout.. of what we represent ourselves as to be.. an ally to those who have yet to have the freedom and acceptance as what we've been granted to accept ourselves as we are.

SonicOlmstead : y'know it's 12:36 AM at the moment here. I hear what you're saying about the 'metal exhaustion'. I'll probably be awake for a few more hours or so, but I think it's interesting that the majority of the remaining lifeblood of this website are night owls, haha.

I'm not really big on anime typically. Not really on my radar, but I've been watching this show recently called "Cells at Work" and it's hilarious.

It's a nice mix between humor, educational, and typical anime tropes (but done tastefully in my honest opinion.).

In the show, Every character is just a different cell in the human body. It essentially shows what its like inside of every person's body on a cellular level. However, it personifies each cell with their own personalities and special abilities (that coincide with the real life cells variant on how they deal with foreign threats).

I'd say even if you're not into anime, give it a try! It's quite a fun experience!

(Cells at Work: Code Black is a whole 'nother animal)

When it comes to sonic games, I agree with the loud majority: the 2D games were some of the best (Sonic 2 & 3/Mania) no doubt. With the majority of the 3D titles being received a bit worse than the previous titles.

All that being said, however, I do find a lot of nostalgia and entertainment with some of those more 'bad' titles. The secret rings was good, Colors was good, Generations was good, Forces wasn't too great but you can make your own OC so that slaps.

Either way when it comes to those 3D titles, I still think that Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast will probably always be my favorite. The Chao garden alone is enough for me to say that. But I also liked the the fact that you could kind of feel what it was like to play as the bad guys for a while. Video games don't typically let you do that anymore.

What's up, guys! I'm quite concerned on the longevity of joining this community, but I've been looking for some retro-gaming communities to delve into. The activity levels seem a bit low, but I'm excited to see what the site has to offer!

I've been collecting retro consoles for a little bit, but the economy on them seems a bit rough at the moment!

I'm 22 years old and have been collecting retro consoles since my dad introduced me to them when I was about four years old!

Looking forward to see what kind of other people and possibly like minded individuals there are around here!
