I'll say Geeogree, you're out here making me look like a small bab with just less than half your time on here.

I'll say I've been AFK quite a bit since 2014, but to know that half the history of this place has happened since I registered is some milestone to someone, somewhere I'm sure.

Hmmm, thing I like most about the great land of V?

I guess it's hard to pull out just one thing that's positive about the community to be honest.

The people around here are, or at least were back in 2012, pretty decent. From what I've heard and read from back in the day, 2006-2011 were the glory days of the forum.

The community is very lax for the most part, if you stay out of politics and don't try to stir the pot (the new dislike system also helps to cater the community away from controversial discussion to keep it neutered down and calm, and while I think it is important to forge in fire; I can understand the younger audience aka the majority of the demographic not wanting to mingle in these things.)

But yes, the positivity is a good thing, ignorance is truly bliss, but you need both red and blue pills to navigate through the world.

Other than that, pirate distributation letting people play old ROMs is also a perk of the site if you don't understand/aren't good at using emulators and don't feel like sitting through a 10 minute youtube tutorial.

--------------------

Who am I kidding, Vizzed was born and died when the RGR happened, the website turned from a place where love and soul was poured into the site with Davideo's posts every day having fun with Jigsaw and Geogree in those forum based games now found in the treasure can, Has now ever since about 2011 a place where David spent every waking minute just working on the RGR and trying to get views on your adds.

The RGR is the new pinnacle of the site, and the crowd it pulls in is less than the highest level of intelligent in internets (due to spoon feeding people emulators and ROMS in a nice little .exe package that even an 8 year old can do.)

It's helped the site traffic, and made David a decent amount of money up until very recently due to nintendo's C&D, but it really made the community suffer as a whole.

Nobody really replies to replies from the OP anymore (one of the biggest problems with the forums tbh).

There is no real creative drive in the community outside of the old innocent town and the Star fox RP that both ran for a decent while.

And of course the latest example would be the Minecraft server dying because no perpetual continuation due to lack of drive. (no PvP grudges, no more contests, ect)

All of this adds up to member leaving, because this place isn't made to really keep members here, it's primary function is to get add revenue, the forums are just a novelty at this point.

You guys are pre 2012, and you might not really remember me, but I was just strolling through and remembered enough to remember your names and that your pre 2012 so yeah.

What's keeping you guys around? I'm just legitimately interested in all of your reasons. Do you guys hang out much/know each other even?

What's keeping the spirit of V inside all of you?

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this from a new perspective.

I can tell the research you did was from both sides and the presented argument was grounded on facts instead of feelings.

This is most certainly the post of the month if not the year.

I'm all for a clean reset but please keep my nether the same; I poured a lot of hours to fix it up and make it look nice; Don't take it away from me I'm the only one who cares about it an will ever visit it so leave my home alone please....

Also I don't really understand why VizVille has to change, It's just fine having all the houses there, they are really neat and makes it feel more homey and alive in the server even if it's a ghost town..

The rest I don't really care about; as long as I get my PvP I'm happy; and I can draw in more people to play on it over time. I'm willing to cut my losses on greenerous.

I would be very enthusiastic for a PvP survival world if the following would be met:

1# 1.8 Combat

2# No outside resources.

3# A nether specifically for the PvP world

4# People would actually play

5# No land claims.

6# Many, MANY salty tears.

I've always been a fan of clean layouts; with simple messages that are very cognitive and are applicable to both very short and long posts.

E: the fact that it took me two hours to make the picture not clip off in photoshop by combining these two pictures says that I took this a little to seriously...

Also a stretch test is in order I think.

"uhh" the traveler sighed aloud while ducking under a low hanging vent pipe before coughing and letting the dust resting for so long on the cyndrical object fly again through the air.

Down the tunnel he walked trying to not get his coat any more dirty than it was, but at this point he was beyond needing a bath anyway... feet soaked in dry dust and stale air surrounding everything.

In front of him lied a light coming from above; crisp clean light of the sun shining down on the land of V. As he approached the grate he could see the sky far above him and even a person's foot or so occasionally block the light as they passed. Turning down the dark corridor continuing his search he saw a door and a sign above it covered in dust. Reaching as high as he could he wiped it off and saw the indented words in the sign painted in light green with a deep blue background. "Conservative alliance Discussion".

Instantly peaking his interest he opened the door slowly. surprising enough it did not creek or moan and opened quietly. The room inside wasn't of massive size; but certainly big enough to hold a small meeting of at least 30 people in there; to the sides were some curtains drawn back and tables and chairs folded up inside, directly in front of the room was a stage and a pulpit in the center; behind it was a cross and a wall made of planks of wood.

Stepping inside; the traveler saw that there was also chairs piled up behind the doors and beneath him was a simple purple rug, and on it stood himself and his dirty dress shoes.

walking up to the pulpit he saw some papers lying on it; the first page was covered with dust. but a gentle blowing soon set that to right. The first page was almost completely faded; but the header was readable at least in the poor lighting from the open door. "CAD notes 1" read the paper; though not super interesting it was somewhat valuable info to take up to the surface, a few snaps of a pocket camera later around the room and at the papers, it was time to go back stage to see if anything was there... turning on his flashlight built into his sunglasses he ventures into the unexplored...

nothing of value lied behind the stage just some simple props, a giant mirror, and some notes about mybiblegames.com and flash programs.. and even a Timex Sinclair 1000.

After a small musing on the items he turned to look at a white door, a simple white door with a commercial duty lever door handle with a silver color and a simple frame of the same colour as the door itself. Walking up to it; underneath him he heard... nothing?

Looking down he saw that his feet weren't creaking on the floor boards, but instead he had stepped on a doll. A simple homemade thing it was with button eyes and yarn hair curled up. reaching down and picking it up he looked at it very curiously... It was only about as big as his hand and had clearly evidently hand stitched marks on it to see as if it was made by a child. He then turned it around to see on the backside a hole in it.

With a very confused look he reached his finger in and heard a rustling sound, like paper. Using the one finger as a hook he pulled out a piece of paper rolled up and squished. unfolding it; he saw nothing but a bunch of warning labels not to give to children under the age of 3.

Chuckling a sigh of relief; he decided to take the doll with him and put it in his internal coat pocket.

Reaching forward, toward the door he began striding toward it when he heard a low rumbling sound on the other side... "what in the world" he though as he slowly began to approach the door once again. As he drew nearer he began to feel this sense... of that someone or something.. was watching him... but he didn't want to look back to see what it was, if it was even there in the first place.

Cringing mildly, he rest his hand on the cold silver handle and be began to turn it... it clicked and he began to push it open...unknowing of what truths he would uncover...

Dear members of the round table
I am sure you are all shocked to hear from me in the least; but I bring passively good news:
Life out in the country treats me well and I am enjoying the slower pace of life out here. I have not traveled into the land of V for quite some time; though often I have passed just outside the borders and on looked the lands because the call of the winds has lead me near the lands; whether it is fate or nostalgia that draws me back from time to time, but either way I do not know if I shall make myself a resident again any time soon sadly.

The country life is very nice and I enjoy it to no end as of now.
Also out there I am known as BLink instead of Bombchu Link; they think it's more catch and so do I.
I have as of late taken up the skills of Assembly 86 for the PC to modify the PC game Cave story with great success. As of now I am trying to branch out my current skills to use other languages. Though bothersome from time to time it always is worth all the hard work put in.
Most of you I once called "acquaintances" are all but gone for good but I suppose that my legacy (how incredibly small it was) still lives on to this day even and for that I am overjoyed.

As for the reasoning of why I have left? I had grown tired of the city life. I had no people I could really call friends and my inability to reach out to others did not help. This fact along with the somewhat decline in the quality of forum members and quality posts back in 2013; I finally decided it was time to pack my bags and head onward to other lands.

I came back from time to time to check up; maybe drop a couple 1000 words into a post and move along I was much to busy a man to stick around for very long and lurk the streets and hold idle conversation with the locals... but such is life.

The biggest issue is that there really isn't anything that draws me back; I am much too busy to play local games in the RGR, and I have no friends (never had any) that keep me up to tabs on the latest talk and drama except maybe my elder brother Sword Legion. But even then I don't really care to hear most of it anyway because it's just another season that will pass and be forgotten before long.

I have dragged this on quite long enough now so I will end my letter here.

Best regard to those why have and will continue to serve in the empire.

kirbmanboggle : You said "usually" so I assumed that you have done it many times before, because usually means that you do it most of the time but sometimes would not. (I wouldn't recommend not, but that's your personal life and not something I should just barge in on.)

Also if it was "common sense" as you so boldly claim, then why does this thread exist in the first place?

Super Mega Man 588 is just asking an honest question that deserves an honest answer, are you assuming that he's not smart enough to have this "common sense" and needs to embarrass himself with such a demoralizing question?

Also I recommend using potential future tense verbs like "would" It might help you prevent making these mistakes in the future.

Also I recommend using potential future tense verbs like "would" It might help you prevent making these mistakes in the future.

tRIUNE : I said this two months after the movie was released, Disney would be literally be throwing away money if they didn't make it, and they already have 50% of the assets from the previous movie so a slightly lower budget is there.

I would be the worst business decision this century if they didn't make it.
I just pray that they don't just milk the cow and come out with something worthwhile.

I thought the movie was alright, but nothing super special, I liked Inside Out better. Same for the song, it was alright, but nothing special to me. But I usually tend to not like cartoons at all outside of pixar and am more anime so my points don't really count as valid.

Yeah, COMODO threw a fit on my dad's computer when trying to install it for him a few weeks ago.

It's now commonly known as a trojan by anti viruses, and I would guess part of it is because Youtube Red is a thing and Youtube is trying to get rid of all the video downloaders.

Someone should really be hosting a mirror of it in a .zip file so it doesn't affect the registry and you wont install addware, but I guess that Freemake has to make money as well...

To revise my old answer I posted a while ago...

I love the Classic sonic games, especially Sonic 1 and S3@K, these games had beautiful music including hidden palace, Green Hill and Labyrinth, oh and Sonic's 3's ending theme.

The chiptune feel to the music really pops out as the Megadrive had one of the best sound systems the YM2612 sound chip and the DAC for drums and beats, I love how it sounds a ton, it is imao, the best of the entire retro era.

The thing is SEGA has always *coughsonicboomcough* Has always strived for high quality sound, every tune from Sonic adventure, (twinkle park) to Sonic and the black knight (molten mine) had interesting and unique music Because starting waay back in Sonic 3 all the way to the black knight, Jun Senoue has been composing music for the major game titles, it's so distinct how he playes his gituar and makes it whine so smoothly to the music, (just take a listen to the song Prof.Omochao or wave ocean and you'll understand ).

The composition of the vocal tracks were also in no way lacking either. (well, SA2's Knuckles themes are debatable, but I personally find them guilty pleasures...) From Live and learn, to With me, even if you don't agree with Heavy rock on a personal level, you have to say that the composition is in no way lacking. I won't get to technical into the music's composition, but let's just say it's always colourful.

Speaking of colourful, Sonic Colours along with Unleashed was one of the first games to not have Jun Senoue do composition for it, it was done by Kenichi Tokoi, Fumie Kumatani and Tomoya Ohtani primarily, and the music was also very good, From the full symphonic parts of Unleashed cutscenes to the techy Colour themes it was all great and flowing smoothly. I especially enjoyed Gaia Gate from Unleashed as well as the into's Symphonic scene.

Aaaand then we have sonic boom and Sonic's lost causeworld, but let's not talk about that.

So basically Sonic has had a very rich library of colourful music that matches almost ever genre of music that helps enhance our experience with the Blue blur and his friends (and foes!)

I can't choose just one game, because they all cater to different emotions in one form or another, the are all great and I love them.

(Well that turned out to be a lot more like an article then I intended...)

I would say I play decently competitive, I mean I play a very technical game and can rek on for glory any time I choose, I mostly train on Anther's ladder (great site btw) and by myself in the training room.

As I've stated I play peach so It's excusable how much time I spend in there

I only really struggle when you put me in matchups I haven't played before... and that's like all of them.

If I was in a more dedicated area I'm sure I would be a good player, it takes about a year before you start not playing like complete trash and develop a good understanding of how people will react to your actions and reactions and the ability to decipher it and take full advantage of their habits.

I would put myself on a scale of 1/10 with 1 being scrub, and 10 being M2K/Nairo, I would give myself a 4 or 5, probably a 6 if I had a lot more mu experience.

Dan green and of course Mike Pollok are my favorites

I hated Sonic Boom, but Pollok just brought life to it that make me want to keep watching it from time to time

And Dan green, not only did he do the best Knuckles ever, but also his Execution of Mephiles was out the window, It was just so inspiring and drawing in to make it all seem more real.

It's kinda weird though how much oral cavity movement is put into Mephiles voice acting for him not having a mouth. (come with me shadow)

Kōji Yusa is my favorite Japanese voice actor because Japanese Shadow is the best with Nobutoshi Canna not far being for his hot headed characterization of Knuckles, it very closely matches Dan Green's characterization.

Also kudo's to Tomokazu Seki, for an amazing Werehog voice in the Japanese version.

I can't leave however without mentioning Jason Griffith, I didn't like his early days, but his voice acting in the Black knight was amazing.

WHY SEGA WHY DID YOU FIRE HIM JUST AFTER HE GOT GOOD!?!

Also the entire japanese cast has been around since the days of Sonic adventure, they haven't been replaced even once, the only time anyone has been called in to voice anyone other than their main voice actor was Werehog sonic. Why foes SEGA of america have to be so wishy-washy?

Did anybody hear that in the latest 3DS patch, they changed how many pixels are in the boxes to the player screen, they are currently unused, but each picture is 3 pixels less wide making it a perfect square, and it also leaves 6 more slots for characters, I don't have a quotable source but still It is legit.

I don't think all 6 slots will be filled, but I would love to be wrong. (tails next plz)

I'm really interested in how Cloud's limiter is going to be like Lucario's aura plus little mac's KO punch. Or something like that.

Also that stage, BANNNED!
