Do you still happen to have Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom? That sounds like a pretty interesting game from what I looked up and I wouldn't mind giving it a play after I'm done with Kingdom Hearts 1.

Skyrim is overrated, never played it, but I love to kill off a game that isn't Undertale lol jk, I'm not that toxic. I just prefer Turn-Based RPGs over 1st person stuff.

I'm actually just starting the series, since I picked up The Story So Far back in December after hearing they released that compilation for $40 on PS4, since it has everything except for KH3. I just started the first game a few days ago, and after 10 hours I've already fell in love with the look of the game. I'm thinking that if I already like the first game this much, I'm sure to fall in love with stuff like KH2 and Birth By Sleep.

I hate to already put this down but I don't think it would be wise to enter the console market, especially a company that, while having experience with some high-quality titles, is just not enough for a console, since there's exclusivity deals and third party titles to deal with. Just based on the design though, it's pretty neat. I wouldn't mind getting a hold of one myself assuming it's kind of based on Android, making it a good emulator box (though the NVidia Shield is already good enough for that so I really don't need it).

I think this thread's got some new life in the form of the DLC fighters. After all, of the 6 we've had confirmed that we are getting, only Piranha Plant and Joker are announced, which are already extremely hype as it is, Joker especially. However, I think it's time I lay out some actual predictions for Smash's next 4 DLC fighters. However, I have to give more than 4, and give percentages like Igor did on the last post, since I know that there's characters that are likely, and characters that I just want in there that have little to no chance of getting into Smash as it is. Anyway, here's my predictions:

Crash Bandicoot: 90% Chance -
I think Crash has a significant chance of getting into Smash this time due to the fact that we had the Nane Trilogy ported over to the Switch, as well as a confirmed remake of Crash Team Racing. He's also an icon that is sorely missed with compatriots like Sonic, Snake, Cloud, and other icons of that time already being in the game.

Dante: 80% Chance -
This might be a weird one, but I think Dante has a pretty good chance of being in Smash. After having seen Bayonetta work in Smash, I think another demon hunter would be worth having on the roster, especially with the release of Devil May Cry 5 being relatively close upon us. However, it might be weird because of the fact that there aren't any DMC games on Nintendo hardware, but that didn't stop Joker from making his way over, so who knows? I just feel like there's a high chance, but that's probably just hopeless optimism.

Spyro the Dragon: 75% Chance -
Ditto for Spyro, as he basically has the same explanation as I gave for Crash, other than the fact that his trilogy isn't on Switch (hopefully it will be), plus the remake has definitely brought him back into the spotlight a little as a remembered character that deserves to be in Smash among other All-Star game characters. However, if Crash does make it in, Spyro doesn't, and vice versa, since I think it would take up too much space in this Fighter Pack. Though, if there's another fighter pack after this one, I can see both of them fitting in quite easily.

Leon Kennedy: 65% Chance -
With the Resident Evil 2 Remake, it would be a good time to capitalize on Leon's return to a new game with a Smash invitation. Resident Evil is a very notable series that had origins on the PlayStation, making me believe it would be somewhat difficult to have him added to the roster, though it would be great to see a no-nonsense moveset with practicality from someone like Leon.

Banjo Kazooie: 50% Chance -
Honestly, this is up to chance whether he makes it in, as Banjo was very high on the Smash Ballot. The only thing blocking the way is whether or not Microsoft will give Nintendo the rights to use Banjo for Smash (even though it's a game on N64, you'd think they'd be able to retain some right to use the character for re-releases or something)

The Hero from Dragon Quest 11: 50% Chance -
After seeing leaks and datamines of this guy showing up in Smash, I assume he's a safe choice, however, I don't have any experience with the Dragon Quest series of games yet (I hope to change that soon) so for me, this is just a coin toss as well. However, it would be good to see a character from such a long standing series such as Dragon Warrior/Quest to make it into Smash.

Reimu from Touhou: 40% Chance -
This also stems from a 4Chan leak I saw, but if you're gonna bring in an indie character, it better be from the first popular franchise that could really be considered "indie". I have a fondness for Touhou's bullet hell gameplay and I think there would be a really nice way of incorporating that into a moveset for Reimu to use. I think it would be weird to fit her in, due to the anime aesthetic, but I think it would work. I just hope it wouldn't add the floodgates of letting anime characters into Smash, that's what Jump Force should hopefully be.

Sora: 10% Chance -
Square has a weird thing with Smash, they didn't even want to let Cloud be in the game again, and they really don't like having FF music in Smash (hence why there's literally only 2 FF songs in the entire game, both belonging to FF7). Therefore, although people really want Sora to be a newcomer for Smash, I say that it's very, very unlikely if at all due to the controversy with Cloud already being in Smash.

master chief : 5% Chance -
This is more me speaking here. I think Master Chief has potential to have a moveset close to Snake's moveset and still be unique, and he's a gaming icon now, especially after great games like the Halo trilogy, ODST, and others. I severely doubt Microsoft would even let Nintendo near this character for Smash, though I think his legacy deserves a spot on this list

Doomguy: 5% Chance -
Now, if Smash can't have Master Chief, they might be able to settle for the next best thing in the form of Doomguy. Now, Doom is pretty special when it comes to Nintendo consoles, as some of the most notable ports of this game came out on SNES and GBA, along with a port of Doom 2016 for the Switch, I don't see this being entirely weird to see, though the M-Rating that Doomguy would have associated with him would probably make it difficult to get him and spirits involving the Doom series into Smash without a rating change being possible.

Now that's 10 characters right there, I could easily add 10 more (Lloyd, Isaac, Conker, Heihachi, Travis Touchdown, Tails, Crono, Joanna Dark, 2B, and Decidueye, easy) but I wanted to keep this post relatively short enough to keep people interested. A comprehensive list with actual research and analysis may be fun to do sometime in the future as well.

I've gotta say that I'm hoping their working on a Majora's Mask-esque sequel to Breath of the Wild. I loved how that game was so expansive, and I really want another one in the same graphical style and open-world that made me actually enjoy Zelda for once (I'm not a Zelda guy, never have been able to get into it other than BotW). I'm also hoping for a Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remake for Switch, since Diamond was my first Nintendo DS game when I actually got to own one for myself, and I can't wait to see what they can do with that after having seen the stunningly beautiful Let's Go games.

Wow I didn't realize how many things I could come up with off the top of my head, but this year is looking really stacked. If I had to pick just one, it would probably be Pokemon Gen 8, since I want to see the series be revived and pulled from the easy pidgeonhole that Kalos and Alola ended up falling into, since those games, while more centered around story and that was appreciated, it was much harder to enjoy them because they felt like a casual stroll through a park, rather than a challenge that I have come to expect from games in Gens 3-5.

I really enjoyed Persona 5, it was a super structurally sound game that provided me with tons of content to sink my teeth into. The confidants were some of my favorite interactions I've experienced in a video game, hands down, seeing these mini stories play out in front of my eyes made me think I was watching some major character development, and it even affects stuff you actually do in the palaces, which is amazing! I can't go on forever about how good Persona 5 really is, but we can't forget about the elephant in the room...

Why, of all things, is one of the Sonic Forces avatar costumes modeled after Joker? It's the only blemish on a perfect game and it of course has to do with a bad Sonic game, and here I thought Sonic 06 was the worst thing that happened... I'm getting off topic, but yes, Persona 5 is probably the game that made me want to play more JRPGs in general, hence I've been making it a point to play through series like Mana, SaGa, Tales, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, and many others since I've glossed over them in the past.

Now I've only done about 2 hours of Ophelia's adventure in Octopath, but I'm loving it so far. The music is spectacular, and I love how there are weaknesses for each of the monsters, making it kind of like Pokemon in that way, but also stunning them, which kind of reminds me of toppling in Xenoblade. Speaking of the music, if you liked this game's soundtrack, then I must suggest you go and listen to my buddy Jules's album The Eightfold Road, which is a 32 Track album of remixes from Octopath Traveler, which is pretty staggering with how new the game is (especially seeing how the game came out in July, and he released it in October). I hope to update in this thread when I get farther into it (though Kingdom Hearts is kind of getting in the way of that) since I'm really enjoying the game.

If I'm looking at the base soundtrack, I'm a fan of a number of tracks, probably Last Surprise and Rivers in the Desert as my tied favorites. Now as a video game metal cover artist, I've gotta say that I really enjoy Rivers in the Desert, Blooming Villain, and Will Power, as these have been covered by the likes of FamilyJules, RichaadEB, and many others that have done these tracks in a considerably different style from one another, making it feel like you're listening to the song for the first time again. Blooming Villain and Will Power are already pretty rocking in their own right, however Rivers in the Desert is a dance track that really transitions well into a metal style, as evidenced in LittleVMills's cover of it he did a while ago (go check him out if you haven't already). However, as a fan of jazz cover artists such as InsaneintheRain, he's done justice for tracks like Last Surprise, which is probably my favorite track from the base soundtrack.

Now I get this thread is from 2004, hence no option for stuff like 13 and 15, but I'm actually liking 13, as weird as that may be. I enjoy linear progression in video games, it makes me feel like there's an actual progression instead of me going toward some random location in hopes that there will be something that advances the story. However, that's not to say I hate games like that. I enjoy stuff like FF4 and FF6 because of the fact that you can basically go wherever you want to, though I think 13 definitely is structurally sound and fun, despite the hatred it seems to garner from a lot of those who like the series as a whole.

I've been meaning to get into the Tales series of games. I own a Nintendo Switch and PS4 so this may be the best option for me to get into, since I know basically the rest of the series is pretty expensive (I'm looking at you Tales of Destiny).

Now that that is out of the way, I want to explain WHY I have made this change. I simply wanted to make the page more desirable to others, giving perks that people may actually enjoy rather than some throw together crap that I did when first making it (which still took 2 hours to come up with something half-decent). The biggest reasoning behind why I want to push this page is because of my parents. Simply put, they don't think what I'm doing is smart, they think it's a waste of time, that I should be putting my effort into other things, but I enjoy doing this and producing and learning how to make music, and this is how I do so, and the only way I've figured out how to get through to them is money, so showing them a paycheck from making music is the only way I've figured out to do so.

Oh boy it's time for my favorite competition, lets see if I can actually get something decent this year in terms of numbers!

I gotta say: Thank god. I think the 3DS got way too many Pokemon games, and it's time to head to a new system. I'm very intrigued to see main-line Pokemon games finally hitting a console like the Nintendo Switch. I just hope it isn't another Alola adventure.
