Need some information on what's going on lately.
I run on firefox for Vizzed specifically and have the latest VC++ version but seem to be getting nowhere. None of the games have loaded thus far (now attempted 9 games total ranging from the NES to the N-64. primarily the Sega Genesis, which is my favorite system.) and the last time i attempted going into detail the system stopped me from posting the thread. Basically: window pops up, shows the game loading the ROM ROM sits at 0% loading for a long period of time (ranges between 30 minutes and 2 hours) Rom stops loading, says it failed to find ROM Emulator shuts down Window shuts down I run on firefox for Vizzed specifically and have the latest VC++ version but seem to be getting nowhere. well seeing as no threads are being done up I decided to pop this up as a starter. It's fairly straight-forward so I'll get down to it.
Basically there are many combinations of upgrades and bike driving styles and not everyone plays the same way, so what's your preferred bike based on how it feels under your control? Personally I like the kamikaze 750 with just the tires and protection upgrades. Otherwise the speed overthrows my ability to control the speedy bugger on the sharp turns, especially in Germany. do we have to use the recorder on Vizzed? unfortunately for me the recording device causes the game to act up (skips, causes lagged response and makes the music loop two notes over and over which makes the game practically impossible to play overall)
I have been using Bandicam for nearly 3 years now and have recorded many moments of my gaming here (most of them over 30 minutes long each) such as levels one through 4 of Dynasty Warriors and all tracks from levels 1 through 4 of Road Rash 3! I want to continue this trend and seeing this makes me a little curious about seperate recording devices when having these types of problems. Either way i plan to continue recording these great games :3 I have been using Bandicam for nearly 3 years now and have recorded many moments of my gaming here (most of them over 30 minutes long each) such as levels one through 4 of Dynasty Warriors and all tracks from levels 1 through 4 of Road Rash 3! I was a "Sega head" as you put it. I owned (and STILL own) a working Sega Genesis 16-bit console with around 30 cartridge games ranging from "Hardball" all the way to "Star flight" and "M1 Abrams Tank" As for which one I prefer, I loved the Nintendo for the old games such as Mario and the quick games... but when it came down to racing and exploration games it was always the Sega Genesis that kept me on edge for hours with Road Rash 3 or some other brawler game combined with speed. Even when the PlayStation and Game cube came out I still would stay up hours on end playing the Genesis. The name I use is simple and was given to me nearly 8 years ago [yes misspelled but at the time I didn't know about that, the grammatical error has remained a... "call-sign" ever since then I suppose. The actual way of spelling it is "survivor" for those wondering. I still get people who point out that obvious misspelling which irritates me but none the less the nickname has stuck since early 2004. In total I've been given 13 different nicknames and all but this one were taken. So I decided to stick with it. The other nicknames were: Bullet (got it due to being a LMG user on MW2) HellBoundLycan (PS3 gamer tag) Skittles (I LOVE skittles -w-) Blackscythe (one of my more psychotic story characters) and then HawkEye (again, a Modern Warfare 2 nickname due to turning an LMG [Light Machine Gun] into a make-shift rapid fire sniper. I often got head shots with these guns without trying and could make the weapon's ammo supply last for around 20-30 kills before dying.) That's just to name a couple of the nicknames, most of them though are from the PS3 and PS2 from family and friends. Others are from games from sites like kongregate or miniclip and my story since most of my characters are based off different sides of my own personality... Hot-wheels Turbo Racing (HTR) is a game using the classic metal cast vehicles created by the Hot-wheels company, varying from the well known "Twin-mill" and "Twin-mill II" all the way to the powerful Jet Engine powered "Thunder-Roller" This game possesses many astounding race types as well, Time Trials and championships are available to best yourself against the track and A.I controlled competition with a difficulty ramp that becomes slightly annoying on the final championship. The cars have their own stats that give each vehicle a different feel when driving and allow the player to try different race-styles depending on the track. This game has another variant available on the PlayStation which has far better graphics, longer music clips and also has a voice which says the name of the vehicle, the N64 variant is a bare-minimum of what it progressed into for the PSX. Expedition race or standard race: allows you to race in a single map with a car of your choice against opponents that you can change the difficulty of in the options. Time Trial: think you have what it takes to beat your previous times? Choose your car and give it a whirl in this race against the clock! No competition aside from the time and your own abilities as a driver. Championship [Cup series]: there are three championships, each with a different difficulty and a longer list of tracks. With each championship you complete, you unlock more tracks. Upon completion of the third, you unlock the Twin-Mill cup. Twin-mill Cup: you are put up against three other Twin-mills in a 4 car race on some of the most difficult tracks in the game, these competitors are FAR more difficult than the ones in the previous races. Rating: Graphics: 7/10. The graphics occasionally have their glitches such as vehicles fading through the map or flashing objects from too many items on-screen but the game runs solidly compared to the visual effects. Sound: 6/10. The music is repetitive and also does not complete the entire song! There are many songs which only loop the first portion and make it sound as though it's a skipping record player. Addictiveness: 10/10. The game has a lot of replay value thanks to the championships and the ability to unlock more cars via hidden passage-ways within each track. Couple that with the reputation that Hot-Wheels had as a company (and still does), and you have one heck of a game to let die. Story: 0/10. There is no story, no point except to win each race or time-trial and become better than the rest. Depth: 8/10. The vehicles are depicted very closely to their real-life toy counterparts with stats that are different for every car in the game. Difficulty: 7/10. Controls are very easy to learn with a controller but on the keyboard it's a bit tougher, there are many times when you need to press more than two buttons (which most computers don't allow), such as taking a sharp corner and hitting the boost right before a jump (a beep of rejection normally happens causing the last button to not respond and end whatever move you were doing, forcing you to press the button again). Over-all: 8/10. The game is great, but I would highly recommend playing the PlayStation version for a better experience without as many glitches and music that plays through the entire clip before looping. i have to agree. the game is fairly easy compared to the rest of this series. The music though is definitely on a league of its own. But personally i find X3 more enjoyable. but this game is what got me into the MegaMan series, so major props to this game AND definitely a game with replay value. -------------------- |

The game is the perfect example of how to make a living on the farm. However it also gives a feeling of how difficult it is to start up a farm in the first place. As you progress through the game you'll meet people who are very in depth as appose to most games of it's kind. Each action causes a reaction in the people around you. Now, I know quite a few people are lost on how to begin this game of Harvest Moon. [many also haven't played the original. I HIGHLY suggest you do before playing this or you may be lost.] Here are a few tricks to make the game easier. First off here are the controls. A = whistle (used to get people or animals attention.) S = run Z = Interact ( OR pick up/toss items) X = use equipment (OR put things in rucksack) Hold A and press X = change TOOLS (this is also how to eat items) Hold A and press Z = change ITEMS Space Bar = SPEED UP TIME Enter = brings up a menu with your farm map, world map, earnings and so-forth F2 = SAVE GAME >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Be aware that you can only save ONE GAME AT A TIME. F4 = LOAD GAME/ Hints and Tips: 1: Stuck on how to make an income each day? There is a Bee's Nest in your farm that produces a jar of honey you can sell for money ONCE EVERY DAY! 2: Still not making enough?! Go to the spa [one screen down and take the path going diagonally up the mountainside.] Go passed the Spa and there is a cave. Enter the cave and use your hammer to mine Copper, Junk Ore and Silver! You can sell off OR use these Ore pieces to upgrade your equipment! 3: If your going to make a fence, USE THE ROCKS! Fences break down over time but rocks don't! You can even keep your chickens and horses in these rock fenced-off areas and not worry about them running around the farm 4: Trying to hit on one specific girl? Find out what times the girl is in at work or wait until festival days to meet them. Be sure to bring a gift! 5: Growing crops can be a pain, you can hire the harvest sprites [their in a hut behind the church] to water, harvest or take care of animals for you! Be sure to make friends with them or you will be unable to do this. They LOVE flour and bread. 6. Going somewhere but you get there too early? USE THE SPACE BAR! It speeds time up and makes you wait less 7. Press UP on the arrow keys when interacting with the TV to view the weather for the next day. 8. UPGRADE YOUR RUCKSACK ASAP! It comes in handy and is useful for carrying many items at once to and from the mines OR multiple gifts for a special girl [or the harvest sprites!] 9. Set up your farm in rows of TWO! If you do it in squares of 9 you will be unable to water OR HARVEST the crops that form in the middle. (unless it is, say, potatoes which only get harvested once per planting. And finally, if you need anymore help in the game feel free to ask Overall is a 10/10. Graphics are ASTOUNDING for a GBA game! 10/10 Sound is repetitive BUT never gets old, since the songs end at 8 and are replaced with soothing night sounds such as crickets, owls and wind. Addictiveness is 10/10.. Why? Merely because of it being such a simple game and always different each day. Story 8/10 Great background. Gives a good understanding of the reasoning to being on a run-down farm. Depth 10/10. Characters are very well made. Each one is in-depth when it comes to chatting and their backgrounds make a lot of sense as the years go by. Difficulty is a 5/10. Reason being is because of how hard it is to start up. Especially when you start up without knowing the controls (like I did.) I highly recommend the Harvest Moon series to ANYONE who likes RPGs. -------------------- |

Great game designed for use in even the living room and not just the arcade! HYDRO THUNDER! A high speed racing game with a serious twist! BOOST POWERED BOATS! 10 for graphics, especially for the classic system used. Sound however lacks due to how loud the boat engines are and causes the game to crackle at times even in the arcade version, music is almost unheard throughout the game [although there are hints of it at time. 9 out of 10 9 for addictiveness with the ability to unlock boats on the way through high speed circuit made water-ways 7 for story though, This game specifically is not really designed with a story in mind. Depth is powerful and this game gets 10/10 for complete capability to interact with the race track and obstacles! Difficulty ramp excels greatly at a very fast rate, making this game extremely tough for beginners who look to boats for a racing habit. 10 for graphics, especially for the classic system used. One of the finest games I have ever played on the GBA system. One false move will turn the battle around and if your not thorough enough, the enemy could get the upper hand. Focus is the key in this massive world of battles. With no room for error this game makes sure you keep your eyes open and in search of the fastest way to victory. Each map containing many separate paths to take. Each path leading to a different outcome! Will you be the next to fall under the thunderous wars of the Three Kingdoms? Or will you reap the rewards of the victor in battle? You decide your fate in this world of torment. Go forth and forge your destiny in the blood of your enemies! Graphics: Outstanding for a GBA game. Sound: Wonderful, although at times it becomes annoying (like the battle against Lu Bu.) Addictiveness: Beyond words Story: Very well thought out and little to no grammar errors. Depth: keeps well within the boundaries of the historic battles and generals. Difficulty: Ramps up nicely for each level, making you really think at times on what you should do. Graphics: Outstanding for a GBA game.
