This competition had 174 qualified submissions with 149 of those submissions being unique. The stream was 6 1/2 hours long.

This competition surprised a lot of users including myself by showing us just how many great songs there really are on the N64. There were only 9 submissions with a negative rating which is around 6% and could be lowest ratio of negative rated songs we've seen in a music competition since the new format. There were also a total of 24 users who competed which might also be a record. A lot of the songs were cheerful or epic and I think that helped set the mood for the stream.

A couple of things that weren't mentioned were that the 149 unique submissions were the most we've ever had in the VGMR format, and Zora's Domain was the first song to receive a perfect score since music contests got changed to the new format.

The N64 was one of the first consoles I ever played, and is still to this day one of my all time favorite home consoles. The fact that I was able to win this contest in particular means so much to me. Thank you to everyone who's votes made this possible, this wouldn't have been possible without you.

gamerforlifeforever : Actually the Sega Genesis Music Competition had more unique submissions at 163. This one would be the 2nd most though with Super Nintendo right behind it.

While it's true that Zora's Domain is the first song to get a perfect 5 in this new format, I'm not so sure it should count as a record though because only 3 users rated it. If it had received more ratings (or at least 8 like most of the other songs), it's very unlikely that the score would have remained perfect.

Davideo7 : I'm not sure how I missed the 163 unique submissions for the Genesis contest this whole time... Yup, that one's going to be hard to beat, that's for sure.

Oh nice. I actually wasn't expecting to get 4th. This competition was actually the first VGM stream I've been in, so instead of listening to my typical music playlists, I left the N64 stream on while I did some work, and it was actually pretty nice. I'll probably try to catch the PS1 stream too.

gamerforlifeforever : I think we'll beat it this month. We should have no problem hitting at least 200 unique I think. This is by far the most anticipated music competition, will have the greatest selection of songs to choose from and it's at the start of a summer month which means more users will be able to participate.

I did pretty well in the N64 music competition ,i think 5.1 is the highest score i have ever gotten in a music competition with the new format! I could be wrong though. If any one wants to let me know my highest score i have ever gotten in a music competition with the new format ,i would be happy!

vizzy900 : I can confirm that this is indeed your highest score in the new format. Your previous best was the Turbographx CD contest, where you earned earned 4.6 points. That means you beat your previous personal record by .5 points. Good job vizzy.

vizzy900 : Not sure yet. If it's more than 8 hours, then I'd probably break it up into 2 days.

Wow, kind of wish I had gotten around submitting those last 2 songs. I honestly didn't think I had much chance of winning this time around, so I'm really pleased with 7th considering I only did 8 submissions. I feel pretty lucky that I didn't end up splitting the points for any of my submissions; I thought for sure someone else would submit one of  the same Mario Kart or DKR songs as me at least.

Whooooo yeah! Number 10! Not too shabby!
